Eastern Cuisine in West Oxfordshire

We have loved take-aways from Eastern Cusine for years, however under new management it has gone down hill. We waited 2 hours for our order, when it arrived, the food was cold and an item was missing. An item was also missing the time before. There are plenty of better take-aways available in Witney. They have lost our custom.

I’ve had Thai take aways from here quite a few times and theve always Been amazing! I don’t know what’s gone wrong but tonight’s take away was horrible! Soggy prawns and squid, so much spice it was bordering unedable. I don’t think I will be ordering again.

OMG how awful. Over an hour wait, ride on the phone when enquire, expensive. And, food isn’t nothing Thai! It’s a curry place, the food was cold, over-salted and disgusting. I am scared I will wake up with an indigestion. I don’t think this over greasy food was cooked in hygienic conditions. Never again. I’ll stick to Suwanna and the Cambodian restaurant next time. Grrr

Eastern Cuisine Witney Friday 13th turned into a takeaway nightmare. Our order arrived and the curry sauce for the Biryani honestly was swimming in grease and looked like dishwater. I took it back having to drive 5 miles to the premises as they refused to collect and rectify the order. On arrival was told mistakes happen - I showed the awful grease floating on what should have been curry sauce but looked like filthy dishwater. No proper apology and just told to contact just eat Took no responsibility whatsoever as if this is acceptable Shouldn’t be allowed to sell food

We was staying local and found this online, food was well priced, delicious and plenty of it, good menu too, we called in and ordered over the counter and it was ready quite quick considering how busy it was with phone orders.

Not great. Watery dishes, undercooked potato and partly incorrect order (naans incorrect combination delivered). Won’t use again

One of the worst Indians I have ever had! Just wish we had read reviews before ordering and wasting money! Food was cold, bland and looked colourless. After visiting a number of Indian takeaways in the area that provide a mixed grill with meat,onions, peppers, salad, mint sauce and a naan I was hoping for this but what I received was 4 pieces of bland meat for £13.00!!! So disappointed! And to top it off when I called to complain I was laughed at down the phone and spoken rudely about in the back ground! Rubbish food! Terrible customer service!

Delicious take away and good varied menu. Food was hot on arrival, will definitely use again. They have also done a lot for the community during the pandemic, delivering free food to the NHS.

They appear to have upped their game and back to the normal eastern cuisine standard. We had a few cold meals in a row and went elsewhere - never again the other places round here don’t touch ECs taste or portion size! Back we went to give them another shot and I now collect our order rather than delivery and it’s back to being spot on!! Loving the menu although totally gutted that the mixed grill box isn’t available anymore was my all time favourite 😓

Like many people, its all too easy to enjoy a lovely meal with little or no feedback given but get it wrong and God help us all. We suddenly become the Greg Shakespeare/William Wallace (sic) of the internet and our expertise is boundless with adjectives, nouns and all manner of grammatical errors abounding. I have eaten from Eastern Cuisine since back in the day and most if not all of the time it's been lovely, yes, it goes wrong from time to time ( what doesn't?) but a quick phone call and all is usually resolved. I don't expect someone to deliver a missing chapatti (or whatever) mistakes happen and I make accommodation and enjoy my/our meal nonetheless. If it's a minor missing thing, I/we live with it! If it's a main course, then we get a re-delivery, no drama. Next order/delivery has a little something extra as an apology or a reduction from the bill, it's noted by management is what I'm trying to say. Like everyone, they are human. We all make errors. I also have a microwave and an oven at my house. I don't expect something hot to get from Witney, after a couple of stop-offs, to my house and still be piping hot. Breads and chapattis in the oven for the time it takes to microwave a few plastic boxes of food for a couple of minutes, cutlery and plates out, dish-up and enjoy. If you seriously expect piping hot take-away delivery food you need to live more or less next door (pick it up yourself then) or your expectation levels are way too high. I hate cooking after a hard days work and if all I have to do is perk up the temperature a little from someone else's cooking, I'm on a winner from the off!! It's a tough time for everyone at the moment and if I didn't get my EC delivery I'd have to start cooking...who wants that? I've eaten most things from the menu and if I don't particularly enjoy something, I don't order it again. Nothing wrong with it, just not to my taste. Simple. OK, off the soap-box ranting station now. We've had an awful lot of deliveries/meals over the last 25+ years, they are always pretty consistent, tasty and nicely cooked...that's enough for us. The mere fact they have been in business for so long should tell you something. My favourites...? Lamb Madras, King Prawn Tikka Massala (with ex chilli) Thai Green Duck Curry, mixed naan is tops! Jasmine or Pilau rice with everything!! Do your own ice-cold Peroni (other drinks are available) For me...can't really fault them. ENJOY!!!

I would not normally take the trouble to review a takeaway but having read some poor ones recently for Eastern Cuisine I would like to balance them with my recent experiences. I do not use them often but fortunately have not experienced any of the problems reported by some of the reviewers. I placed an online order on Wednesday evening before 6.30 with a request for delivery on the other side of Witney for 7.30. The doorbell rang at 7.25 with my order efficiently packed and handed to me. 3 starters, 3 mains, a large pilau rice and a peshwari nan, all piping hot. This was deliberate overordering for the 2 of us (pensioners) but it gave us a great choice for our evening meal (chicken, lamb and tiger prawns, with squid and veggie starters). Loads left over for an equally delicious evening meal the following day. All dishes were tasty with superb sauces and varying degrees of heat/spice, all to our taste. We also had a delivery on 30th December (last month), similar quantities but slightly different dishes but also very high quality and tasty. I do like the opportunity to mix and match Indian and Thai, the choice of dishes is impressive. In these times when eating out is banned this is our way of having the occasional treat to compensate. We will continue to use them.

This was our go to take away... The last 4 or 5 times it has been stone cold. I don't understand what has gone so wrong. We had even phoned them up and ask to make sure that it's hot..still turned up cold. My partner then wrote a complaint email and no response. Really disappointing as it used to be so good.. Now we are on the hunt for another good Indian takeaway!! Never returning.

I never give bad reviews but this was the worse takeaway/delivery I’ve ever had. Indian food was bland and tasteless the garlic naan just tasted of raw garlic. The sheek kebab in the mixed platter( that was forgotten in the order) only tasted of salt when it arrived. The Thai sticky rice was like a brick. £90 wasted I will never use again.

Thursday 29th October 2020 ordered on line charged admin fee then food was very late and cold, complained by phone to very unhelpful staff who said to email of which we did but nothing! please see my complaint below really bad service Good morning Very disappointed and angry this morning following our delivery from your company last night As you know we have been ordering from you for a lot of years now but following last night’s debacle I feel that will be the last time. Ordered on line like usual to find admin charge when emailed why was told down to 3rd party etc I ordered it from your website no 3rd party involved! Was given the option of delivery ASAP – 17.15 then received email with confirmation estimated delivery 17.15 not a worry you expect 15 minutes either way! 17.42 still no food rung your so not helpful staff to be told will be with us any second! Finally turned up 17.55 over ten minutes from my phone call and 40 minutes late from delivery time requested Meal was stone cold! Not edible I rung to ask for a refund and was told to email you, please arrange this refund ASAP Also was told your drivers don’t start till 17.30 so why are you letting customers pay for delivery and expecting delivery anytime from 17.15??? You should be saying no deliveries until at least 17.45!!! So your drivers start at 17.30 so why did it take 25 minutes to get our meal!! We are only 6 minutes down the road and why are your chefs cooking food early when no one will be delivering them till at least 17.30!!! Our meal must have been done at 16.30 the food was that cold the chips were soggy the whole thing was disgusting please see attached what £16.90 buys you from Eastern Cuisine in the food bin! We ended up with baked beans on toast not what I was expecting after a long day at work and was looking forward to a nice meal! Wont be making that mistake again I’m afraid. Would you serve this food cold at Snooty Mehmaan?? No I don’t think so If we had not paid by credit card I would of refused the food! And not paid! Please also see attached receipt with prepare by 16.40 and delivery by 17.15 how can this be?? So if the food was prepared by 16.40 but we never received till over an hour later???no wondered it was cold and soggy! Looking on trip advisor/google this morning you are not doing very well with the comments some with the same problem as us. It’s a shame because your food delivery used to be so good. You really need to sort this. Also why give 10% off then charge admin fee but nothing on your website saying why you are charging it?

Had a take away at a friend’s house and the food was terrible an insult to Thai food Tasteless Sauce and chewy meat tasted like a microwave meal And to top it off was seriously overpriced Definitely avoid this place

Ordered my Birthday COVID-19 lockdown dinner from Witney which I was looking forward to. Was informed that it would be delivered within an hour which it wasn’t. When I rang to chase I was informed that the food would be delivered when a driver was available. When it was actually delivered the food was barely warm. Great food poor service and rude customer service.

Tasteless food, arrived luke warm Worst Indian takeaway I have ever had and I've had a fair few. Also, I visited the post office next door the other day and there were 4 men doing repairs to the front of the shop. They were very close to each other, none of them were wearing masks and only two of them wore gloves. God knows what happens in the kitchen!

Just ordered Indian, never been a huge fan, but thought I’d give it another chance, tonight was just awful. Tasted like they mixed korma and Thai red curry to make the masala, overly oily and slightly cold, nothing had any decent flavour because of the high oil content. By the time it arrived we were so hungry having not eating since early morning, I had two mouthfuls and the ended up with toast, this shows how it was just completely not edible. Cannot recommend, definitely avoid, waste of money.

I often find myself staying in Witney on business and rather the eating mediocre generic hotel restaurant food I get a takeaway. As it happens Eastern Cuisine is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel which really convenient. The best thing though is the food. I must admit that I haven't explored the Thai side of the menu yet but the Indian currys are superb.I like prawn curry and most prawn curries use small prawns unless you pay more for King prawns. Eastern Cuisine don't muck about. You get decent sized juicy prawns as standard - delicious! The portions are generous too so you won't be hungry.They are not the cheapest but they do the amongst the very best takeaway curries I have tasted and had a few to be honest. As I don't have to drive there and struggle to park as I sometimes do elsewhere, it's worth every penny. That said, if you do drive there, there's a huge carpark in front!

Order from here every 2-3 weeks usually but sadly won’t again after tonight as very disappointed. Arrived about 45-50 after specified time and was cold. Upset by this

We usually order from other take aways in Witney from just eat, however last night we saw that eastern cuisine has been added on. We thought we would give them ago as we’ve never tried them, best curry in Witney!!! Order was easy and quick, got our curry on time. Was nice, hot and fresh. So happy with the service we received! We even got 2 free beers which just made our evening. Thank you so much for our food, will definitely eat again with you!

We often use Eastern Cuisine as even though we are about 7 miles outside of Witney they still deliver to us and deliver excellent food. We used to just have Indian but I have definitely moved onto the Thai dishes and they are some of the best I have ever eaten, the Pad Kra Pao is really quite delicious. Everyone we have recommended EC to have loved it. I don't understand the bad reviews, this place delivers better food that pretty much every Indian restaurant we have ever been in!

We haven't dared to risk a takeaway curry for 2 years. We had some absolutely dreadful disappointments from more than four local takeaways including a dish of brown sludge with some fatty flaps of fish skin.I saw an article in the Oxford Mail reporting that Eastern Cuisine had earned a 5 star hygiene rating so decided to give it a go. Our faith has been restored and we were very happy with the meal. Delivered on time, really friendly, chatty chap on the phone and delicious food that we will be ordering again. Infact, we have decided to order a special curry from Eastern Cuisine for our Christmas Dinner. We'll order it in advance and just reheat on the day.

I feel bad even writing this because I hate to complain but I feel compelled to because the take away was so bad. My husband got the lamb madras and I got the chicken tikka madras. My husband’s looked good but mine had no body and was incredibly watery. Sadly, it tasted worse. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but it tasted like someone dropped a container of salt in it. It was inedible. My husbands was the same. I ended up eating the rice and popodoms and that was it. It’s also more expensive than other nearby places. Such a shame as it’s our local but I will not go there again.

10/10. It is a little bit more expensive than the other local takeaways but you can taste the difference. The food is of very high quality and the delivery is quick.

We ordered on bank hol Sunday late and delivery was within the hour! Absolutely stunning, cooked perfectly and can’t recommend enough! Thank you, was perfect, the best takeaway/delivery experience ever! Xx

Recently we had a bad meal here but we took the time to complain to the right person and it was dealt with quickly it is a shame that people don't give the management time to look into what went wrong.

Have been using eastern cuisine for years. However tonight we placed an order online using their app for food over £30. My wife received a confirmation email and the money has shown as having left our bank account.

Never have I felt the need to call a restaurant and complain before I have even tasted the food!

I have used Eastern Cuisine for years but the last few times the delivery was over half an hour late, there is always something missing form the order and the last time we ordered the squid we got 4 pieces for £6!!!!! what a rip off!!

Not a huge fan of Indian food was persuaded to try by other half and I'm converted! Can't fault the food, service or speed....fantastic chicken tikka and Korma could eat it all over again...tried it last week and was impressed thought we'd try again just to make sure it wasn't a fluke and didn't disappoint...portions sizes just right and prices are very reasonable

I ordered a takeaway but will not be using Eastern Cuisine again. Was not very impressed with the service or the food. The curry I had was not too bad but my husband ordered some of the thai starters which were so bad they went straight in the bin, they were also terrible value for money.

Awful food, soggy, cold and very unappealing. Rang and spoke to a male member of staff who told me the manager is away! Not good enough, also said if I turn up to the restaurant “they’d kill me”. Absolutely shocking, never use!

Had another great meal delivered at the weekend. As usual the food is delicious and the order was delivered on time as requested. Drivers very polite and easy to use app or orders.

We have had takeaway twice from Eastern Cuisine, opting to go for the Thai food each time as it's less common to find somewhere that does this around here. On collection the food has been ready when we have gone to collect it and has been nicely hot. The portion sizes are very generous and taste great. One of the best massaman curries we have had too! AND...free beer! Amazing!

Had a takeaway on 12th May 2018, ordered it then given a time for being an hour later. It was 1 & 3/4 hours later it arrived. The prawn Korma that had been ordered was like prawns in a coloured milk. It hadn't seen any curry powder, there was no taste, it was disgusting, you could pour the sauce it was that thin.

First time using Eastern Cuisine and we will definitely be using them again. Ordering online was very easy. I clicked for delivery to be asap and it arrived 20 minutes before the estimated delivery time. They had also included a couple of free beers which went very well with the superb Thai food! Many thanks.

Ordered for delivery twice recently. On both occasions the food, both Thai and Indian, have been fantastic! Delivered within 40 mins on both. Well priced, very tasty and free beers! Win win!

Thank You Eastern Cuisine Team for a wonder meal last night. A big improvement on service and delivery time and food quality excellent as always. Very tempting Thai menu, will be trying it out on next order. And of course the complimentary drinks were much appreciated and a touch above the rest. Thank you.

Great food and service. New Thai menu looks delicious, a must try. The honey chicken starter and pad Thai with chicken was brilliant.

They have recently introduced Thai food and I must say it's the best I've had in a long time. I've always ordered Indian from here which is also different and better than most other places I have visited. Highly recommended.

Eastern Cuisine have started doing Thai food along side Indian. We had a Thai meal delivered on Sunday night and it was amazing, the best Thai food I've had for a long time. There are no Thai takeaway or delivery places in Witney, and its great to have one now. Highly recommended.

Being using Eastern Cuisine for years mostly good service and delivery and lovely food always has the same order but every time tastes different but in a good way

Used to be regulars but stopped after a few bad experiences and very late food delivery. Gave them another chance on Saturday, when snow was still pretty bad on our local roads. It did take almost 2 hours to arrive but the roads were bad and we didn’t mind as they said the times would be longer due to the conditions. Food was great. They have started doing the more interesting curries from the Snooty Mehmaan at a fraction of the price (8.95 instead of the eye watering 15 at the Snooty) for Dak Bangkok Gosht and Chatinaad). Food tasty and hot, lovely garlic naan. Faith restored but order early and expect it to take a long time!

I have been using this place for ages but after tonight's episode meeting the idiot driving their van they have lost yet another customer...not only has the food become dregs so have the ignorant staff they employ.

Ordered online but had no delivery updates. My vegetarian dish was just a bag of frozen mixed veg in a very salty sauce. It had the consistency of baby food. Everything was very salty and mushy . Will not be ordering from here again. A shame as we have never been disappointed in the past.

Late delivery cold food orders received without garlic very very disappointed we used to be regulars but after this I’ll find another supplier

Had to wait over an hour and a half for our food to be delivered, when we called to check on the order the person we spoke to was rude and said the driver was only just leaving. When the food finally arrived the driver was incredible rude, told us we were lucky we only had to wait an hour an a half as others were waiting over two hours and argued with us over our address. We finally opened the food to find the order was incorrect and luke warm. We called to advise this and were told we could have a replacement if we were prepared to wait, which we weren't, we have requested a refund for the incorrect meal but doubtful we will receive this. Certainly wouldn't recommend.

Ordered online which I think is the root cause of the issues we experienced (we have had issues before and stopped ordering with them for over a year but decided to give them another chance yesterday evening). Sadly we won't be doing this again (or maybe not for another year!). Very hungry and ordered for two of us at 6:50 on Friday but online. Said it would be an hour. Phoned them at 1.5 hours later when no food, said it was with the driver. Still no food 1hr 45 mins after ordering and phoned back again this time quite annoyed. They said they weren't busy so this was very annoying. Eventually turned up almost 2 hours after ordering, had to eat something while waiting as so hungry. Paid half at the door. Food hot and tasty though.

Ayer ordenados Kashmiri chuletas de cordero por £9. 95 y Pollo Tikka (M) por £8. 95. Presentamos en el tiempo (a 10 minutos de la tarde). Pollo no estaba caliente, pero estaba bien, pero el cordero era asquerosa y frío, me fui directamente a la papelera. Nunca pedir nada nuevo.

Hemos estado disfrutando de la cocina oriental en los últimos meses y, como otros, disfrutar de los platos y el tamaño de las porciones. Cuando se trata de nan pan es donde ellos mismos decepción en mi opinión. Soy un gran fan de nan de ajo y no importa cómo muchas veces me preguntan si un pedido o a través de la llamaron cuando he pedido en línea se ha vuelto muy claro que ni usar ningún ajo, como ajo o entender lo que el ajo es! ! !

Yo no vivo en cualquier lugar cerca de Witney. . . . Pero mi madre y mi padre. Cuando se nos pida más de un curry de la Cocina Oriental en la oportunidad que saltar. Es mi creencia de que no hay otra que ofrece tales hindú para llevar siempre comida fantástica. El tamaño de las porciones son buenas, el personal es amable y eficiente y el proceso de pedidos es sencilla por teléfono o en línea. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente de la cocina india. Sigan con el buen trabajo.

Yo soy un habitual y a menudo comparten con amigos y familia, nunca me decepcionó. El tamaño de las porciones son excelentes, siempre coherente, personal muy agradable y amistoso, tiempos de entrega siempre muy fiable.

Very nice food and there was a good veggie range for me, the carnivores were also very happy with their choice. The delivery was made within the time specified.

What a disgrace. Ordered food turned up on time. I asked for shaslick medium it was like a vindaloo. Garlic nan was freezing cold, onion bhajis burnt, dry in the middle. I called to complain and the answer from the member of staff was "what do you want me to do about it" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. An apology would have been a start. I am not sure there is a manager in the shop, if there is he needs to take s look at himself . This is the most expensive Indian takeaway in Witney. I have used eastern cuisine for at least 5 years and never had such a bad meal. They have lost a good customer, but that doesn't seem to bother them. Time to look for a new Indian restaurant in Witney to deliver what we expect.

Meal cost £46 ordered on the appNot the first meal I've had from here but by far the worst The king prawn Dansak was not correct no taste and no texture chicken korma for my son was horrible Rice had a texture of coconut When I rang to complain the girl said what do you expect me to do I'm just here to answer the phone and take orders The.manager then came on and asked what I expected him to do well the food is back in the boxes and you can collect it Nothing happened and no offer of refund

So I used the app tonight and it gave me a delivery time of 7:30 which was perfect. (Ordered at 6) when 7:30 passed I called to confirm they had the correct address and was told they hadn't received my order! Apparently you should receive an email if it works, it doesn't tell you that on the app so I just ordered and presumed I would get food! Now I'm told I can re-order but it's another 1.5 hours!!!! I don't want to eat at 9pm! Hence the reason I ordered at 6 for 7:30!

Really nice looking menu put through our door in Faringdon. Phoned to ask how much delivery would be to Faringdon- told they don't deliver to Faringdon. Asked why a menu was put through our door if they don't come out to Faringdon - reply was 'no idea'. Suggest they don't really want any new business if it's a tiny bit out of their way. No business from us then.

Ordered food at 7pm. Quoted 1hr 15 mins delivery. No food at 8.45. Phoned to enquire. Told it had just left. I complained that this was considerably longer than the quoted time (it was still a 15/20 minute drive to my house). Response? "Don't know what to tell you." So I suggested that I may not wish to use them again. Response? "That's fine." And then they simply hung up. I was absolutely livid. The food was actually ok but this is some of the worst, most rude, customer interaction that I have experienced. I complained via their online contact. Still have not heard anything, so here I am writing this review.In short, fairly good food, not cheap, with awful awful awful and rude customer service. They really should be ashamed of themselves.

We ordered our food at 6-45 and was told it would be upto hour and fifteen minutes which was fine as it was busy Saturday night. After hour and hour I ring to ask about order to be palmed off with excuses about drivers not turning up. We still was waiting 2 hours before it turn up.

Quality generally good but a very expensive compared to others in the town of comparable quality. Avoid

Eastern Cuisine used to be a decent takeaway. I can agree with other comments on rude staff, but my food was always pretty decent and never had too much of an issue. Decent food, turned up on time, a tad pricey but still worth it. Then they upped the prices. Then they upped them again. Then they reduced the portion sizes and recently they've lost the quality too. All in all, you now deal with rude staff for a small but expensive meal you probably won't find too memorable. For £3.50 you get two lamb samosas around a the size of your thumb that is mostly filled with potato.

At 5.15pm I ordered food to be delivered at 8pm when I'd be home. Received a call at 6.15pm from my husband to say that food had arrived. When I called I was given a half hearted apology and told I could email a complaint but the owner has several businesses so basically shouldn't expect a response. Apparently a refund is not possible through the app they use. Of course alternative methods are not available such as cash. They made poor excuses about their online app not giving them the time that the customer has requested however it was clearly printed on the receipt stapled to the bag. By the time I got to eat to food it was cold and like rubber. Far from the usual standard received from Eastern Cuisine.In short of you want food when it suits you don't bother ordering from here.

I have take away from eastern cuisine a lot as they are the only take away that deliver to my house. There food is great but a little to expensive I would recommend them to anyone.

I received the 3 wrong dishes in my order . I called them so they could correct it. Said they would deliver as I was only down the road. Then they called me back and asked me to bring back the wrong meals and that nobody could deliver. So I did. The chef made a mistake. I didn't ask for any money back just wanted replacement meals as I have spent 50.00. I had to wait for the meals to be cooked because they wanted to check what I was bringing back first. I told them I was keeping the starters as they had already been opened . The chef was adamant that he wanted them back as it was classed as theft because I hadn't paid for them . As I was leaving the shop the person in the desk was calling me a thief. I told them that I didn't want them to sell the food to anyone else. I had no apology at all through my conversation with eastern cuisine. Such a shame as the food is generally good, but I can't comment on quality as the rest of my takeaway wasn't very hot by the time we ate.

Had an absolutely delicious meal from Eastern Cuisine last night to celebrate my sons 30th birthday. Food arrived early, piping hot and every dish was thoroughly lovely. We always use this takeaway and have never had a bad meal from them.

Please take notice of how many awful reviews there are. The food and service is disgusting here. They got every single thing on our order wrong. A chicken tikka masala tasted like a whole pot of salt had fallen in there. How can you get that wrong!! They sent the wrong rice and the wrong naan bread. They wouldn't replace my curry or give me a refund!!!! After being on the phone for about 15 minutes they said they would only refund me for my masala and rice but only if I packed it up and sent it back!!!!! What a cheek. They should have given a full refund but apparently 'the owner' can only make that decision who is never in the business. Possibly the worst service I have ever come across!!!!!

I ordered takeaway from Eastern Cuisine - Witney one hour and 45 minutes ago and counting. Still no delivery....i'll leave you to make your own mind up!Rang the branch who claimed they've called but the phone doesn't work. When told it is working, we're calling them from the very number; they got exceptionally rude.

I have been ordering from this take away for almost 10 years, usually the food is beautiful. However, I am debating on wether or not to order again. I ordered over the app and requested a time of 9:20pm, the food came at 7:20pm which meant we had to stop going out to eat the food as we would have eaten after we came back from shopping. The food came and it was cold and the chicken was dry, it was horrible. What I did eat of the food has gave me, my brother and my boyfriend a bad stomach and feeling very poorly. Very disappointed and feel extremely poorly.

Been ordering from Eastern Cuisine for the last 20 years (obviously not literally!) Tonight will be my last.The long and short of it is it's not the food that is the problem but the terrible customer service. There are clearly some major training issues here as when I called to complain about a missing side dish the English guy I spoke to on the phone just after 9pm tonight was condescending "what outcome are you expecting?" were his very words. He also refused to even give his name and hung up on me. I wonder if it was the same guy who hung up on an earlier reviewer? It wouldn't surprise me! The management need to look into this as customer service are your front of house and I for one won't be going back unless I receive a refund for the dish that didn't arrive and a meaningful apology.My rating is for the customer service received tonight, not the food.

This "average" rating of 3 stars is misleading as the food and service vary from really good to pretty poor. I've had many deliveries from Eastern Cuisine and arrival times do range from prompt to unreasonably long but, until yesterday, the food has always been of a high standard. My meal last night was very disappointing, I'd ordered a pricey lamb dish which has been excellent before but this time the meat was so tough it was inedible and went straight in the bin. Until now I'd have been happy to recommend Eastern Cuisine and I will probably try them again but I'll be more wary in future.

This was the first time we'd had a delivery from this outlet and it was really, really lovely. We couldn't stop eating, even though we over-ordered. We had a Nilgiri Korma, and four vegetable sides and I actually meant to order another main but it was overlooked as I was multi-tasking (badly). Everything was extremely good. It was delivered 5 minutes early and it was piping hot.

Very poor! 90minutes for a takeaway!! Only good thing about this experience was the nice driver who delivered our order! Way way behind other Indian outlets in the area!!

Me and my wife have take away from eastern cuisine four or five times a month because it's the only take away that delivers to us the food is lovely 90% of the time it depends on the chef that is cooking but overall it's a good Indian take away and a good price especially when you use the phone app you get 10% discount I would go back to eastern cuisine.

Thank you, Eastern Cuisine. You've restored my faith in curry. After months of bland slop masquerading as curry flavoured stew from local curry houses and a long break away from curry, we nervously decided to try Eatern Cuisine. What a difference. The staff on the phone were helpful and cheerful, food arrived on time within the hour, it was hot and plentiful plus free poppadoms. It was delicious and very spicy ! There was so much that it will go round again tonight. Proper curry is back ! Prawn Madras and Vegetable Dansak again tonight.

Order from here everytime as it really is the best curry around but order early. I have never waited less than hour. On one occassion it took 2.5 hours but that was an exception. Most recent order took 50mins on a monday night. It was wonderful though and loved the complimentary poppadums!

called here after a night on the tiles was a really nice lamb madras and very friendly staff would deffo call again if i was in the area

placed order online,it saud would take 90 minutes,i rang and cancelled but could nt understand the man ,who hung up on me anyway,i rang again was told to wait then he also hung up.2 days ago i tried again and recieved an average madras, tonight thought i d try for last time and was told id been rude previously so was not getting my order, when i rejected this i was spoke to very rudely..terrible customer service and they need to know this

Ordered from these guys three times. The first two times we waited 2 hours for delivery having been told 30 minutes. Went back a third time as the food was tasty and this time we ordered earlier hoping for better, however, never again. Again told 30 minutes to one hour for delivery, 3.5 hours later a stone cold meal arrived after we had chased them several times. Asked for money back and we were hung up on and actually sworn at several times. We were accused of trying to get free food when we asked to get money back and were asked to return our food, even delivery guy appalled. Happily returned their food and will never return.

We have ordered a few times now from Eastern Cuisine and yes, we have had to wait an hour for delivery (but we were told this when we ordered), but the food has been amazing every time. We live about 10 minutes away and cannot believe how hot the food is when it arrives. It's as though it has just come out of the pan. I would happily recommend Eastern Cuisine to anyone. And regularly do.

We have used Eastern Cuisine many times over the last two years because of the quality of the food.I am only writing this review because I am so annoyed with the service I recieved yesterday which seems to have become a consistent problem. Perhaps this is because I don't order hugely expensive deliverys, but I am a repeat/ semi regular customer.Ok, whan you've been working all day and it's the weekend and you think 'I don't fancy cooking tonight', we like to order a take away delivery. I can totally appreciate that the rest of the world may also be thinking this and do expect there to be a considerable time to wait to recieve food.Therefore, I phoned my order through at 6pm, and was told it would be an hour to an hour and 15 mins....fine. After an hour and a half I called to ask where our food was to be told by Ian (apparently the manager) that our food was just leaving and would be with us in 10 minutes. I only know Alans name from having had to complain on several other occaions.I asked him if he thought this was acceptable, and whether or not he was going to discout our meal for the inconvenience. He said NO, order had already been processed, but would call me back later that evening. He also said that since my early order, they had got really busy......I do think this is ridiculous becasue surely, at the time I called, they would know how many orders they had in the queue and give delivery times based on the that..It's like going to a restaurant, ordering, but because a large table comes in after you, they take priority and you sit there foodless for hours while the later table gets served!!!!!Suffice to say, I am yet to recieve that long awaited phone call. We did eventually get our long awaited food!I only wish more people would post on a tripadvisor about their local take-aways/delivery restaurants so that they might realise that they need to achieve some level of customer satifaction/service/value for money.We will not be using Eastern Cuisine again. I am sure that there are many alternative companies with equally good food who would welcome a new regular customer.

Very good food, good menu, good delivery service. Never had anything less than excellent food form these guys, highly recommended.

Ordered food at 5:50pm , at 7:15pm still no sign of any food. So we rang up , and the lady said there was a 2hour wait! 2 hours for a curry! She never said that when we ordered! THEN, food finally arrived but was STONE COLD!! Shocking service!
