I came here for dim sum on 12.09.2023 after nearly 2 years. The food quality has gone downhill. Prices have increased but portion sizes are tiny and some of the dim sum tasted awful. The fried cuttlefish cakes are now so flat and have been mixed with meat so not true cuttlefish or squid and lacks the bouncy texture when bitten into. The bbq pork cheung fun was grey in colour and was rubbery and tiny! Compared to when I used to go regularly 2 years ago, the quality is extremely poor. Chilli oil was watery as if diluted and not spicy at all. Decor and atmosphere was still nice and the overworked south asian waitress who was on her own, was lovely. The chinese manager did not seem to want to help the customers. He loitered behind the till and pretended to look busy. Other tables had to get up and go to him to ask for drinks and order food. Didn't ask us if we wanted anything else so he missed upselling drinks. He didn't even ask us how the food was when we went to pay. Made no conversation whatsoever so I told him what I thought of the food. He didn't look surprised and no apology was given. His lame excuse was they had just changed chefs. I was not looking for money off my £60.45 bill for 2 people for dim sum. I ordered 5 dim sum dishes and a ho fun dish. Very expensive indeed. I just wanted an acknowledgement of my complaint and a verbal apologyfrom the guy. I am so upset because for the same money I could have had a tasty dim sum experience down the road at Wing Tai Cricklewood and had 2 extra dishes for the price I was charged here. Chinese tea had no leaves and was weak and watery. No free refill here was offered when all other dim sum restaurants offer that etiquette especially for £1.80 per person. Not an authentic dim sum experience at all. I usually go to Wing Tai but wanted to go food shopping at Loon Fung hence why I went East Pan for lunch. I had stopped eating here 2 years ago because back then one of the waitresses got my order wrong and took my Steamed dim sum to someone else's table and after 15 minuets of the mix up. She brought it to me and I witnessed everything. It was stone cold and the table who it was served to had already eaten one dumpling. No apology then either so I stopped coming. How silly of me to think things would have changed for the better after 2 years. I would not waste my money here ever again. So disappointed. What a shame as the owner Valerie is so lovely. I haven't seen her in a long time and she was what made the place shine.

My first visit to the restaurant above the Loon fung warehouse. I wish to God I had known about this place years ago, having shipped downstairs for 10 years I felt foolish! Anyway, the service was prompt, polite, the atmosphere congenial to how it is supposed to be. Music (which I hate while eating) was very low and not invasive like some places. The food was simply the best Vietnamese spring rolls and prawn Dim Sum I have ever eaten! The fried rice EXCELLENT, the beef with black bean sauce quite mouth watering and very flavoursome. I have not eaten Chinese food of this quality for years, and will become a regular i think, having had so mush poor cuisine in Gerrard Street. Also the actual portions are larger than you would think so next time I will get one main course so I can get more Dim sum and spring rolls down!. I could not recommend this abode more highly, but they get VERY busy at the weekend so I like it quite so will go on a weekday. All the best and do not change the Chefs or the lovely server we had. Thanks PG

We came for a family dinner (birthday celebration) and were warmly welcomed by the staff. Children chose crispy noodles with different toppings. Also the tofu dish was customised according to our needs. Food was amazing; lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork were delicious. Pipa tofu dish with Pak Choi was unbelievably well seasoned and tasty. At the end, the staff served a slice of berry cheesecake as a courtesy! We will definitely go back and recommend it to our friends.

As soon as we entered the restaurant we received a warm welcome from the staff. It was a Birthday Party for one of our friends, with about 35 guests, on about 7 tables. The whole atmosphere of the party was great. The meal was really excellent - delicious Chinese food, beautifully cooked with many assorted dishes on each table, and good wines, creating a very convivial atmosphere. There was an excellent violinist playing background music and we were all really happy and relaxed. We were also served with a delicious Birthday Cake. Altogether, it was an ideal place for having a great Birthday Party.

It was more than a year we were not in the area. Shopping for Asian groceries, we decided to go back to East. We ordered the same as last time because we really enjoyed and we did it again. The fired udon with sea food and the noodles with black bean sauce were very nice, a lot of big prawns, mini-scallops and squids for me and many sliced of tender beef for my husband. A bit disappointed with the starters, the meat balls we were served were not the top, maybe we choose wrong from the menu.

We have been here numerous times - at least once a month for the last few years :-) We keep coming back for the dim sum as it is very good for a suburban setting (Royal China is better but just try getting a table at the Harrow, Baker Street or Canary Wharf branches on a weekend - a very long wait which is not feasible with children in the party). At East Pan Asian the vast majority of their dim sum is extremely good and very tasty though the service can be a little bit chaotic when busy. The Chinese Egg Tarts (weekends only), Shanghai steamed soup dumplings, Cheung Fun, Prawn Dumplings and Sui Mai (pork dumplings) are absolutely wonderful and are equal to those from Royal China (my benchmark dim sum restaurant)!

Was so disappointed with the service today. We ordered several dishes to eat in and a few to take away. We were almost finished eating when we realised they hadn't brought one of the dishes. The waiter said he forgot to place the order! So we waited about 15 minutes for it. Upon reaching home, we realised that one of the takeaway items was not in our bag! I phoned the restaurant, and the manager said the order was never placed! Even though we wrote it down with the rest of our orders and pointed it out twice to our server. That's pretty crazy when waiters repeatedly forget to place your order! Not once, but twice in one visit! It wasn't even crowded. Be warned!

We used to visit this restaurant regularly but now it's more like once a year as the menu choices and food quality had declined so much. We decided to visit yesterday and the food was still extremely disappointing. The udon noodles in XO sauce need salt and chilli and other seasonings. It was extremely bland and anaemic looking. The char siu cheung fun tasted old and quite possible leftover from the previous day/s. We ordered har gau, my dad's favourite, and were served steamed bao. When we told the waitress she gave no apology and was reluctant to change it until the manager came over to assist. He told her he would deal with it. When he returned to the table he did at least have a smile on his face and he apologised for the mistake and said it would be 6 minutes. I was also very surprised that at peak lunchtime, 1pm, the restaurant was less than half full when we arrived and this speaks volumes. Chinese people would travel long distances for good food and the restaurant used to get busy at 12pm but it doesn't look like the Chinese community are willing to travel here.

In a commercial area, adjacent a big J Sainsbury superstore, the warehouse of Loon Fung - purveyor of Chinese food and provisions - has the East Pan Asian Restaurant approached by stairs (no passenger lift) located at 1st floor level. It shares it's car park with Loon Fung but I've never had problems finding a space - no charge. The dining room which has A/C during the summer months is clean, light and airy with a contemporary look. One gets the impression that it's a family run enterprise with a warm welcome for clientele. I think the food is perfectly acceptable though the dim sum is more consistently good, than other dishes which can be variable. I don't think that the Royal China's of this world need worry but here you'll find an interesting environment, a pleasant dining room with reasonable priced food AND you can park (unlike Queensway). After a stroll around the fascinating Loon Fung warehouse will help burn a calorie or two.

After eating, a trip to the Chinese supermarket downstairs is a must!

We were contemplating dining at this restaurant, but I am glad we did. I have been back twice in the past month. Despite it being above a cash and carry, the Inside is warm, modern and there is always plenty of parking available. The service is great and the food is always served fresh and hot straight from the kitchen which we really enjoyed. Overall I would recommend visiting and definitely trying the scallops and the chili tofu dish - by far the best tofu dish we have ever had!

I have visited here three times now in the last 2 months, twice for lunch and once for dinner. The entrance is off a car park for a chinese supermarket, but DON'T be put off. This is a very nice restaurant.Upstairs you are greeted and seated. The decor is plain but nice. The sushi chef doesn't work Monday or Tuesday but we go there for the Chinese dishes. They do a nice line in fish and vegetarian dishes so non meat eaters are well catered for.The food does tend to be a little helter skelter arriving, but it is all freshly made and piping hot when it does arrive. It all tastes good and is reasonably priced.Just off the Hangar Lane roundabout so deserves to be found by people on their way in or out of London by the A40.

On returning to the area my wife and I made a bee line for our favourite resturant. Delighted to state that the standard of food and service was and is as good as it always was. The dim sim is hard to beat. Won't be long to revisit especially as we can do a bit of shopping in the supermarket down below!HughM

The location is not great. Situated above a large Chinese Cash and Carry. Decor inside is modern. We ate early on our way into London and the restaurant was almost empty. Good selection of dim sum and other dishes. Food came quickly and was delicious. They had a list of food which was suitable for Coeliacs which we ordered from, but when the dishes arrived and we asked what the sauce was - some dim sum were covered in Soy sauce (not wheat free!). The waitress apologised but the damage was done. More communication needed between the waiter and the kitchen. The crispy duck with pancakes was one of the best we had ever eaten and the dim sum was great. Not a place for a special night out but great if you are passing and fancy some good Chinese food.

I enjoy this place. The food is always good, fresh, tasty and served quickly by efficient and friendly staff. The room is functional, nothing more, but always busy and full of people speaking Chinese which must be a good sign. The supermarket attached is worth a visit too.

It was simply the worst experience that we ever had. i wish i had an option to give ZERO star to them. We were a group of 4 people with a small baby. The moment we entered the restaurant it felt like as if we just entered into a restaurant surrounded by arrogant people because of the look they gave to us. Needless to say every person working in the restaurant felt like they are above 60 years old. I am not criticizing this fact but just highlighting. Since we were with a baby we asked them for a baby seat. On which we were advised that a 7 month baby is too small for a baby seat and we will be better putting the baby on a flat seat. Who on earth would give this sort of advise?? Now this was not enough as at one point we requested if the restaurant could provide a stick of cucumber so the baby can eat and play with it. To our shock the waiter advised that they do have them (in slices not in stick) but they wont slice a new cucumber for us. And their reason in their own words was: "A baby is not supposed to play with a cucumber ". Service from the waitress was unprofessional and the food was sub standard. Waited 15 minutes for drinks and and then the food order was cooked wrong and inedible. The staff did not have a clue. This is not enough to add on our experience. There was a discretionary tax added on to the bill which we kindly requested to remove because of the atrocious service we received. And one of the waiters who appeared to be the owner of the restaurant advised "yes we can remove it but you wont get the service next time with a straight face". Please let me tell you NO one will come back to you if you don't have a decency to listen to simple baby requests. The look we got from the staff when we left the restaurant was much worse this time. Needless to say no 'thank-yous' from anyone. Been regulars to many other Chinese restaurants, wanting to try something new and after that experience will not be returning. All of us are going to give a one star review after the service we were given.

First visit to this relaxing and very pleasant Pan Asian Restaurant situated in the Alperton area.Started lunch with some refreshing Jasmine tea and which was followed by Aromatic Duck with pancake rolls and Vegetarian Spring Rolls. The mains consisted of Sweet and Sour Chicken, Vegetable Singapore Noodles, Beef w/Black Bean Crispy Noodles, Chicken Chow Mein and Vegetable Fried Rice along with various sauces. The food was fresh, tasty and every enjoyable to eat. Could not fault anything. We were all so full that only further Jasmine tea and bottled water were ordered to end the meal. With service charge - the cost of the meal worked out to £18.25 person – very reasonable in view of the quality of the food and excellent service. Would recommend this place without any doubt. Try it!!!

A family-oriented restaurant already well known for good quality dim sum, this restaurant recently acquired a masterclass sushi chef (Shosaki Ito) of over 40 years experience in Gingza and Kappou restaurants in Japan. Result: an outstanding culinary experience in everything sushi and sashimi. Exceptional Japanese menu offering first class salads, conventional and 'unusual' sushi and sashimi in two different ways. Especially good Octopus salad: succulent slices of octopus served with crispy juicy seaweed and uber thin slivers of slightly pickled cucumber, with the lightest sprinkling of lemony, sweet vinegar dressing. Amazing interaction between the fresh octopus meat, that crunchy veg and sweet-sour dressing ! Sushi: perfectly cooked rice, not too al dente, not too sticky or wet and done to order (we could almost taste that just-cooked warmth of the rice) and rolled to perfection. Quite simply amongst the best sushi we've eaten in London. Great selection of the conventional nori-wrapped versions as well as the inside-out variety (i.e., no nori) and also uramaki (nori inside, rice outside) and Chirashisushi (scattered sushi served with colourful toppings). Also has interesting vegetarian choice, even sushi rice wrapped inside a lightly seasoned fried tofu pouch (inarirushi). Prawn tempura sushi: juicy freshly crispy prawn wrapped in sushi rice. Good choice of sashimi, not just the range of fish available (salmon, tuna, sea bass, mackerel and hamachi (yellow tail), but you can choose between the conventional thickly cut sashimi or the new style, thinly-sliced ones beautifully presented like a flower and served with a delicious clean-tasting, tangy dressing (usuzukuri). The dressing is so delightful you just want to drink it on its own ! In all, our meal was PERFECTION on a plate. Quite simply the best sushi and sashimi in London to date.

Virtually no 'Chinglish' influence in the dim sum selection. Well up to the best everyday you get in Hong Kong. Not haute cuisine and pretty pretty, just fresh, tasty and quickly served. Modern European decor and place settings lifts it above the average everyday Chinese. 75% of clientele of Far East origin, a really good sign. Friendly and efficient service.

Since the management has changed, the environment in the restaurant has change quite a bit too. It is no longer so 'old fashioned' and is a little more minimalistic and modern in the deco. The menu has also been updated and is no longer as quintesentially cantonese. There is slightly less choice, but the choices which are there are good. The prices are reasonable and I love having this restaurant in Alperton. It is the only place in the area I can bring guests to if I have people visiting and I don't fancy cooking. The service can be improved and smiles added, but they have recruitment problems at the moment so that can be excused - and anyway one never goes to a chinese restaurant for good service right? One goes for great food, for which this restaurant doesn't dissapoint. It certainly isn't a top restaurant on my list of top recommended restaurants, but for the area it is in, I'm just glad to have it so close to home.

Not sure why I have not written this great place up before, very child friendly helpful staff. I took a birthday cake in the day before, no problem no extra charge. Great menu service may seam slow it's only because food really is cooked to order. Try the roast belly pork ask for it to be hot one of my favourites.

The location and building hide the delights awaiting the diner within. This restaurant has become a firm favourite with our family. We used to travel down to China town to get this quality of food, now we don't need to waste our time. The dim sum is amazing. Cheung fun is our favourite. Then we usually order seafood crispy noodles, or roast duck and vegetables over rice. The owner gives special attention to all his guests, and the service is great. I can not recommend this place highly enough, and we will be coming back again and again.

I go there at least once a month mainly to do my big food shopping and it is handythat there is a restaurant upstairs . I only go for the tim sum (breakfast so it means) which is good in price and food is good. However, I went there recently to have anevening meal and I was really disappointed. For a Chinese restaurant above a Chinese supermarket, the choice on the menu isn't brilliant and when the food I ordered arrived at the table, either it is over cooked or very salty. The only credit I give them was the fried veg and the steamed chicken that I must say was good. Service was good but just wished the menu has a wider choice for a Chinese patron and cooked with less salt. Now if I want an evening meal, I would drive to Bayswater and all the Chinese restaurant there do very good evening meals and big choice on menu. Cheaper too :-)

It was spontaneous decision to have a dinner at East Pan Asian restaurant (we were hoping for the home delivery). We had very low expectations and actually we were prepared for the average experience but as we were hungry and lazy to cook at home we took the risk of visiting the place. What a wonderful surprise! The food was absolutely delicious! Authentic, fresh, great choice of dishes and lovely customer service. The steamed dumplings were lovely! We were not rushed out (as normally you are in the Chinese restaurants) and the waitress was helpful with the menu. As there is no nice places to eat in Alperton (yet!) we finally have found the place to bring our friends and family. We will definitely be back for lunch Dim Sum and Sushi. Well done and thank you.
