we had a sunday lunch here today & it was lovely & a nice portion too.staff very friendly & attentive even though they were busy.we will definately be returning.well done all,keep up the good work

We have just visited this restaurant again after lockdown. This is such a lovely restaurant. The food is amazing especially the steak and kidney pudding, the staff are lovely and very friendly and the decor is clean and modern. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Staff very good, starters were ok main meal very disappointing my steak had no flavour, no colour to it, it was like it had been boiled I could not eat it. The wife’s chicken pie not up to much ether I would think it was microwaved and no gravy, both meals served with loads of peas if this is the only veg please make them less of but better quality as they were hard and not very nice at all we will not return

Absolutely lovely meal. The food was great, well cooked and well presented. The staff all welcoming and friendly. Excellent Covid measures in place. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Have been a few times for lunch. The last visit was disappointing - I ordered half chicken with Jacket potato and coleslaw . The chicken was very small and dry, and the potatoe was also small. Certainly did not fill the gap. Should maybe have complained, but as it was a late lunch did not like to. Will try again at a later date.

Encontré este restaurante buscando en Trip Adviser buenos restaurantes cerca de Caister. El distanciamiento social se toma muy en serio y se implementó al 100%. Éramos cuatro en nuestra visita. Los alrededores estaban dispersos y la decoración muy agradable. Nuestro camarero se llamaba Taylor, que era muy servicial, sociable y muy agradable, al igual que el resto del personal esperando en las mesas. Para empezar, comimos calamares, langostinos en tempura y champiñones. Todos eran encantadores. Nuestros platos principales eran tres budines de carne y riñones y un pastel de carne con cerveza. Estos eran increíbles y llenos de carne y muy abundantes. Si está buscando espacios abiertos, ¡no busque en estos pasteles o budines! ! Lo mejor que hemos tenido. Los postres eran tarta de queso con chocolate, tarta de manzana y pito manchado. Todos estaban deliciosos. Te recomiendo al 100% que visites este lugar. Los precios son realmente razonables y la comida absolutamente genial.

Fui a almorzar. Conocido por una camarera muy amable que nos mostró nuestra mesa. Pedimos nuestra orden de bebidas que llegó unos minutos más tarde. Cuando le preguntaron por nuestro pedido, que debíamos modificar un poco, la camarera dijo que no había ningún problema. En poco tiempo llegó nuestra comida que se veía y sabía deliciosa. El restaurante estaba muy lleno, pero no tuvimos que esperar mucho. El ambiente en el restaurante era muy acogedor y la comida muy bien presentada y deliciosa. El personal es realmente excelente, muy acogedor y muy eficiente. Una gran experiencia en general. El menú es apto para todos los gustos y tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio. No dudaría en recomendar este restaurante a cualquiera que esté en la zona. Sugiera reservar mesa si quiere evitar decepciones.

This is the first time I have visited this restaurant since reopening. I have visited before. The service was very good and the food excellent all freshly cooked. I will certainly visit again.

Estaba lleno, pero hay mucho espacio entre las mesas y están haciendo todo lo posible para mantener a todos a salvo. El servicio fue amable y muy eficiente. Conseguimos nuestras comidas muy rápido. Mi hijo disfrutó mucho su entrante de langostinos tempura. Hermosa comida casera como debe ser. ¡Muy recomendable! !

Qué lugar para comer. Paré por casualidad y conseguí una mesa, pero bastante llena. Creo que, sin reserva, no siempre tendremos tanta suerte. COVID bien bajo control; muy limpio. Camareras (puedo decir eso en estos días) muy educados y amables. Modifiqué ligeramente mi menú. No hay problema. Las raciones son enormes, calientes, sabrosas y muy abundantes. Realmente es como solía hacer mi madre, bueno, el mío de todos modos.

Recommended by a friend called in and were very pleased we did.Ordered New York chicken and asked if we could have chips instead of a jacket potato.No problem said the waitress When it arrived we were amazed at the portion size.Very large chicken,2 rashes of bacon,a big pile of salad and plenty of chips all of which were very tasty.We will definitely return to try something else off the varied menu.

This Restaurant is Superb. The staff are very friendly, nothing is to much trouble. The food is excellent, and good sized portions. The Cleanliness is alway spot on here , even down to the toilets. But what has prompted this review is how well they're handling the Covid . The staff all wearing masks . An in and out lane . Table service . The way they clean not just the table tops but around the edges and under the rim , but also all chairs getting sanitized also. The tables are nicely spaced out . Definitely worth a visit. Well done I felt safe eating here.

Was served by a young lady called Tiffany and food was run out by Tiffany and Annabelle... What a restaurant!! Very polite and well mannered ladies.. Food was top notch and the service by the two ladies matched the food.. Best find of the week.. Will recommend to family and friends!!

First time since lockdown booked table arrived at reservation time shown to table told on the way about one way in and out restrictions and hand sanitizer station staff friendly and helpful tables fully sanitised lots of room between the tables so felt safe food very good in taste and presentation well worth a visit

Visited this restaurant for my husband's birthday and wasn't disappointed. Food was excellent, all 3 courses, sizing generous. Very good value for money. Service was very good with attentive, efficient and knowledgable staff. Would happily return to this restaurant. Social distancing is observed with one way system in operation. Well worth a visit.

Took the parents in for a treat and they enjoyed their time. Seemed clean and staff all very polite.

Just had a fantasic meal at the East coast resturant Norfolk. I felt very safe all the staff were wearing face masks (including the chefs and kitchen staff) and social distancing was kept between the tables, but more important the food was great, and the atmosphere was very good with the front of house waiters/waitresses doing all tbey could to keep customers safe, cleaning everything on the tables clean between customers, at no point did we at risk, they were frendly and did everything to ensure our safety and enjoyment. Thankyou to all at the East coast for a most enjoyable time.

Another year up at Hemsby and the got too say we worried the the Eastcoast was not going to be up and running,but lucky for us it opened up on the 7th July.Booked a table for Weds evening Had the Chicken and mushroom pie with chips and peas and it was amazing full of chicken and mushroom home made of course hubby had the steak and ale which was filled with lovely steak chunks not a pea left on his plate.Too finish it off chocolate pud and custard.The staff are so lovely and friendly always make you feel welcome.Keep up the good work Eastcoast Many thanksJanice & Darren

Visited this restaurant many years ago and was not that impressed however have been several times for lunch recently and what a change very good value for money excellent food and staff very friendly and helpful would recommend to anyone in the area.

We attended last night and had a pre ordered from a Christmas menu. The meal was as described, the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The plaice I had was wonderful. We had a lovely evening,the team on duty were very friendly and helpful. My meal was finished with a liqueur coffee... finished the meal off brilliantly. Thank you East coast x

We took my parents to the East Coast Family Restaurant on 27th September for their Golden Wedding Anniversary. I mentioned this at the time of booking and the staff very kindly decorated our table with a lovely Happy Anniversary banner. Mum and Dad were delighted. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent! Mum was pleased to receive her food piping hot which is very important to her. The meals were all delicious and the portions were generous. The service was brilliant and overall, we had a lovely dining experience and felt we got good value for money. We would happily recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Este restaurante es realmente el lugar para comer. Siempre comemos allí si estamos en la zona. El personal es realmente servicial, cortés y amable. La comida es muy sabrosa, bien preparada ya un precio muy razonable y las raciones son muy buenas. Sin reservas recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera en la zona, especialmente con niños.

No me puedo quejar de este lugar, desde el personal muy amable hasta la encantadora cena asada que tuvimos. Generosas porciones de carne cocinada por expertos y grandes cuencos de verduras frescas cocidas. ¡E incluso salsa extra cuando preguntamos! !

We visited this Restaurant last Saturday when going to meet the extended family who were holidaying in Scratby. After a two hour drive we wanted simple without going down the Junk Food Route. This Restaurant and the Staff were so lovely, we would drive back just to try other dishes on the menu. I had the Homemade Mushroom Stroganoff with Rice and it was superb. The staff also couldnt do enough for us. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely Restaurant.

We come to Hemsby a couple of times a year and we always go to the East Coast a couple of times a week, the food is always wonderful and the lovely staff are an asset to this restaurant, nothing is to much trouble, we will continue to visit as we love it.

My wife and I dined here yesterday with two cousins of mine - they are regulars here. The restaurant was crowded but the service was good and delivered on the promise - good cooking nicely served. Not the place for fine dining but it does not pretend to be that - good honest food is what you get and if like me you are an OAP then three courses for £10:45 at lunchtime represents excellent value for money.

Was so impressed with this restaurant and all the staff were lovely, food was so good that we booked in for Sunday roast dinner as well, good generous portions and we said we would come back here when we're in the area again.

Our friends live in Bristol and we had a lovely thank you letter for a lovely evening and wonderful food. Tried to get booked in for Christmas but unfortunately they are fully booked and if we want a meal for Christmas Day on the following year we will have to book in at the beginning of 2020 - that says it all doesn't it.

We have just spent a week up at Scratby and found this gem of a restaurant we ate there 4 night's having different meals each time, my husband had the 16oz steak twice and each time cooked to perfection and myself had steal and ale mushroom pie which was home made which was lovely but by far for my was the last night i had chicken in a white wine and mushroom sauce with new potatoes and veg it was beautiful.

We have Holidayed in Scratby for 7 years and we didnt try this restaurant we until last year, wish we had been before. We ate here twice this year and the staff were very helpful and squeezed us in when they were busyThe food is excellent and reasonably priced. Our granddaughter likes to have steak and we were pleased to allow her to have it as it was such good value. The staff are lovely and helpful (several of them are the same as last year, which shows they enjoy their jobs). Eating here was a a real treat for us

small portions to be had - chips where undercooked - it was very expensive for what to had - drinks where overpriced - could have been a lot cleaner - the staff where very friendly.

We staying at a parents recently bought caravan at a local Caravavan site and were recommended this as a local eatery which was only a 12min walk away.

We called in for a Sunday Roast with a couple of very finicky friends. We all really enjoyed the food. Enough veg to sink a battleship and good prices. Excellent service from the young waiting team. Top bombing!!

My family and I visited East Coast today for a family lunch. We will definitely visit again. Firstly the staff are fantastic, nothing was too much for them. Real praise for them. Menu is excellent, not too much,just right. Specials were well thought out and delicious. Children's menu is very good and the staff will cater to your / children's needs. Great value. We were on holiday in Scratby and was told about this place with it having such a good recommendation and so many wonderful reviews we decided to call for an evening meal wish we hadn't we that is my friend and i had the half roast chicken don't think it had seen the inside of an oven it was deep fried and in old oil it tasted awful and left a not very nice after taste when the young man fisrt asked if the meal was ok we didn't really answer him we were at a loss really at what to say but when the waitress came to collect the plate she could she by by what was them we hadn't enjoyed our meals so we decided to come clean and say we hadn't and what was wrong we were assured they were not fried (i know what i am eating i eat regularly) but that they where roasted and then heated later in a conventional oven sorry i don't believe a word i as told they did offer us free deserts but to be honest we really didn't want anything else to eat in place in the end they did not charge us for our meals the men had the home made pie and yes it was home made i tried a bit of my husbands but had to agree with him the pastry was so thick and hard you couldn't really bite into it without wondering if you would break a tooth so yes they eat the rest of the meal but sent the crusts back i also ordered a side order of onion rings these came as soggy breaded frozen ones not nice at all they went back too shame after the reviews we had read and the recommendation but definitely won't be going back again if we are ever in the vicinity again

First impressions are that you have stepped back into 1984, however that isn't a negative just an observation. Young staff that are very friendly and eager to help. The food.....well it is basically all frozen food served up on a plate. Chips are tasteless, scampi soggy, definately the kind you buy at a supermarket. Childrens pizza was the very small round ones you buy frozen. It was a shame really as the reviews on here led us to try it, but sadly i personally wont return.

We decided to eat here because of the great TA reviews and we were very happy we did. The service was very good and we didn’t have long to wait for our food. The food itself was very good quality and plentiful. The prices are reasonable too. We all really enjoyed our starters and main course. We were too full for a dessert. The menu is extensive so there will be something for everyone on there. Highly recommended!!

Visited here on the 29/06 for my partners birthday and her nan. Nan had prebooked the table and on arrival there was a birthday banner on the table which we found so cute! The staff went above and beyond by actually going to Tesco before our arrival and buying a birthday cake and then presenting it to the birthday girl after our meal, I don't think any other restaurant would have gone to the effort that they did. All the staff from entrance to exit were so very kind and thoughtful.

Passed here many times . Only sorry didn't go in before. The restaurant was very clean . The food was excellent and the staff very helpful. The service was very good . We all enjoyed our meals and puddings. I'm also fussy about how clean toilets are and they were lovely and clean , nice to see paper towels to dry your hands with. We will definitely go back.

Come in here as driven pass lots of times in the pass so finally decided go and try so glad we did very friendly staff knew one of the ladies in there so was nice see a friendly face food mostly is home made was really lovely and thoughly enjoyed our visit definitely come back when we are in the area again

We make a point of visiting this restaurant every time we are in the area. On arrival you are met by a very cheerful and polite member of staff, you are then taken to your table. Once you are seated and settled yet another polite member of staff takes your drinks order. When the drinks arrive you order your meal and within a short time your excellent, cooked to order food arrives. The whole experience is excellent. The staff are very friendly, cheerful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and well cooked. The prices are very reasonable. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Recently stayed at California cliffs park, saw this restaurant sign at the side of the road when looking for somewhere to eat.Decided to try it, so glad we did, this restaurant is so lovely, from the very comfortable seating, the pleasant atmosphere. The lovely friendly staff and of course the excellent menu. We went twice in our four day stay,the waiting staff were so nice they accomodated our fussy two year old grandson very well. Just cannot say enough good things about it. Just if you are in the area GO THERE.

Have visited numerous times and keep going back . Lovely family run restaurant with delicious traditional home cooked food. From the moment you walk in to the time you leave service always with a smile friendly staff and great choice of food. Traditional menu at the table and a specials board as you walk in for additional choices of the week. From steaks, fish, pies , pasta dishes etc something for everyone and prices both for food and drinks are very reasonable just watch the portions they are very generous however hard we try we have a starter and main and rarely get to dessert so make sure you are hungry and if you get to desserts they are equally as good as the rest of the menu

Simplemente fui para el almuerzo del domingo de Pascua, estábamos en un grupo de siete y habíamos reservado previamente ya que este es un restaurante local ocupado. Nos sentamos inmediatamente, nos ofrecieron menús y nos dieron bebidas rápidamente. Todos los alimentos salieron juntos y se sirvieron calientes y frescos con porciones más que generosas. Estaba muy bien preparado. Todo el personal se veía bien entrenado y eficiente, pero también era alegre y feliz con sonrisas listas (y un mérito al lugar). Los precios eran razonables. Sin duda volveré y recomendaría a otros que vayan allí, ya que fue una experiencia encantadora.

We had a lunch after being fitted in at short notice, even though they were very busy with parties, we were well looked after. The food was lovely with lots of choice. the staff most helpful, Will return again only booking first next time.

A visit to this restaurant has been on our list for some considerable time, so completely unplanned we called in on a Friday lunchtime to celebrate my wifes new hair do, any excuse. I was Impressed and surprised with what we found inside as the kerb appeal is lacking somewhat. Two large very well cooked meals and three drinks for less than £30 is good going as the local carvery charges more for a pair basic roast dinners and two drinks. I did note that they have a pensioners special menu, which we both qualify for, but expected that the portions would be small as they only charge £7.95 for two courses, however the gentlemen on the next table picked from this menu and no they were not small at all, his roast beef dinner was equaly as large as the aforementioned carvery.

Six new friends chose this restaurant to kick start what we hope will be a regular occurrence. We were well looked after by all the waiting staff . We ordered from the main menu and the specials board , one of our party opted for a two course pensioners lunch, which was very good value for money. Only two of us chose the same thing, and we were all totally happy with our choices. So much so ,we have already booked a table for our next get together . Thank you to everyone at East Coast , for an enjoyable time. Next time we will be more organised about paying the bill.... promise.

Didn't know what I was expecting. The place looked like an amateur restaurant but when me and my wife walked in, the place was heaving but didn't wait too long. We just made it an hour before the kitchen was closed. Both ordered homemade pie and was we happy. Ordering a side of vegetables was enough for 2 people. I had the stake and ale pie, the down side is that there wasn't enough gravy, but we were offered extra gravy and made all the difference.

well you could be forgiven for missing this little restaurant, not much to look at, but well worth stopping. Be as well to book, as it is not open all day, or late night, but we found the food well worth it. The best steak and kidney pudding my wife has ever had !, and the menu, whilst not extensive caters for families ( as it says) was comprehensive and all meals seemed well portioned, and served quickly by the young ladies on duty. in fact there was very little waiting despite the tables being 90% in use. If only we had tried it earlier in the week! This may tempt you in early in the week, and then you can go again,- wish we had

Went to East Coast restaurant with my family on the last night of our holiday at Hemsby, the food was excellent, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the prices were quite acceptable. I would recommend this restaurant.

My sister and I went with our Mum to East Coast on Saturday and had a great meal. Mum and I had cod with mushroom, prawn white wine sauce and fresh veg and new potatoes. My sister who has food allergies had salmon, salad and chips. We all had a fabulous meal and would definitely recommend you to go. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful with assisting my sister which was so important to us. Plenty of parking and a great service. Thank you ladies x

Staying in the area so decided to give East Coast a try. Very clean inside. Staff accommodating and provided high chair for the toddler, with a colouring sheet on his menu! Good variety on the menu. 2 of us opted for the cold salmon/prawn salad (WOW! what a plateful!) One had fish and chips (WOW! what a plateful!) and one had gammon (you've guessed it - WOW what a plateful!) Toddler had his burger, smiley faces and beans and was an ample portion! Only 2 desserts orders - one for the toddler - I don't know where he put it all!!! Will certainly be back when next in the area. Thank you all.

Took my mother there for her 90th birthday Lunch. The staff made us very welcome and had put a 90th Birthday banner across our table. The food was very good and the menu varied. The service was excellent and extremely pleasant. Would certainly visit again.

Very friendly little restaurant - a main plus drinks for two adults and two kids came in at less than £30. The food itself was tasty enough but nothing spectacular, and the roadside location isn’t very picturesque. The staff were excellent though.

We visited this place whilst on holiday last week, driven passed quite a few times so was tempted to try it. Booked a table for 4 at 5pm but as we were the only ones in I didn't need to. The place could do with a little updating really, suited the ages of the people who came in later on but I felt very young at 46. The staff were young and pleasant enough. They seem happy in their jobs. My husband ordered the steak at £15 from the specials board, he wished he hadn't. It was ok but not decent quality cut of sirloin, no seasoning and we had much tastier rump steak from Lidl cooked on our cadac at the caravan the day before! The kids meals were ok and they did cook the garlic bread for our autistic son to perfection just as we had asked them to. My chicken dish in white wine mushroom sauce was out of this world I really enjoyed it but the steak certainly let the side down. We might have had another drink but there was no atmosphere or ambience to encourage us to stay a little longer so we opted for a drink elsewhere. A pleasant time but discouraged by the steak

We have been here many times. My family, that live in the area, are seriously frequent flyers. All the staff are friendly & welcoming. The food is prepared & cooked to order. They have half portions of main menu items for customers of any age with smaller appetites. (I personally am very grateful for these options because I hate food waste!)
