Eagles Caribbean Take Away in Sandwell

I have been frequenting this amazing eatery for a many years, I can honestly say, Eric and Faiths food is second to none. I sat looking at my amazing dinner this Wednesday with love, so I took a video on my phone to remind me of the excellence of their beautiful food. Fantastic food, fantastic people ❤️ Martin.

The Cow Foot tasted great. The daughter enjoyed the chicken curry. The wife felt that the Oxtail was a little sweet for hee personal tastes. We would order again.

Outstandingly amazing mutton to die for chicken could have had more crisp but was so tasty didnt effect the flavour 4 my tastebuds very satisfied meat filled dumplings is a new one for us needs an award thank you so much x

Food was tasty. I thought I was ordering 2 large meals not a large mixed meat meal. Not enough meat, so wouldn't order that again. Will order separate meals next time.

Max and cheese was lovely and portion sizes are big, curry goat had quite a lot of bones but all round, a good takeaway

I was nervous to order from here due to some of the negative reviews, but I'm glad that I ignored them! The service was amazing and the food was even better! It came piping hot, and the perfect amount of spice. I had the curry goat and it was full of meat and not so much bone like other places. The plantain portion was generous and I was even given a free salt fish fried dumpling! Definitely my new favourite jamaican takeaway!

Curry goat was ok, the Mac and cheese was disappointing definitely not authentic and was quite expensive for a portion so I was expecting it to be good.

Staff warmly welcoming and courteous. My mid morning snack meal was delicious and I intend to eat there again. Worth 5-star but I will withhold the 5th star up until after my next visit. Thank you to all at ECTA.

Really good service and lovely food! We've been going to the shop on a weekly basis, specially for the stuffed dumplings with ackee. My 6 yr old daughter says that they taste absolutely amazing!

So so fire. I've ordered from loads of Caribbean places in the past and have always been disappointed. I ordered curry goat, jerk chicken and fries dumpling served with rice and peas and steamed veg. Fulla flavour!!!! Curry goat was so tender and not full of bone fragments like some other Caribbeans. Will 100% order again and recommend my friends

Food is okay.. but there is room for improvement. Not the best locally.

This food was perfect the only problem was the bigger platter said serves 4 and the smaller platter serves 2 however the big one comes with 2 Yorkshire puddings and the smaller one only came with 1 Yorkshire pudding so not everyone can have one. It comes with lots of rice and not as much veg etc other than that the actual food and flavour was perfect and the service was lovely too, thank you

Usually order from mish mash but they wasnt answering so thought I'd try this place, they delivered really quickly, but that was the only good thing because the food was over seasoned and very dry, plus the steamed veg had a weird taste to it. There was plenty of it but I wasnt offered different sized meal, as I would of had a small, also they need to practice their phone manner as they were very abrupt not friendly at all, never again waste of £17

It was good they called to let me know they had no carrot juice and offered an alternative. Then they called to say they would be late and then they forgot my drink. They gave me ice cream for free. Soup was good but curry chicken was dry and flavourless with no gravy!

First of all, the food was great! Fresh and full of flavour. Secondly, they have been so accommodating in brining my order further than they would normally deliver. The delivery driver was fantastic also! He didn’t hesitate to alter the delivery address. Can’t thank them enough for their dedication and the food being fantastic was the icing on the cake. Considering the extra distance,, food arrived early and piping hot. Will definitely be ordering from there again!! Next time I’ll be sure to change the default address in the just eat app. 😄 5/5 from me. Barry.

The cardboard container basically melted onto the food itself.. I appreciate the food arriving hot, but when the container becomes part of the food itself.. not great

Food tastes is same as my Grandmother and mother's. This is why, I love ordering from this restaurant. Even the sweet potato pudding is nice. Don't ever close down please.

Having read reviews we thought we'd give this a go today. Well, all the reviews are correct we can't wait to go again! The food was divine and the owners are so friendly. Both had the medium sized tray and that was a plentiful amount. I had curried chicken, rice & veg my husband had curried goat. A massive round of applause to the owners 👋👋

Them Prawn Dumplings! Best about hands down

Read a load of reviews before trying,but have to say my wife and I tried the dumplings, fried and jerk chicken,curry goat rice and peas with steamed veg and also the chicken curry with the same. We live in Stourbridge so to travel to Smethwick is a fairly long journey,the food was very tasty and I would not hesitate to travel for another gorgeous spice fix. Not sure if the cook and the woman front of house were a couple but they were both very friendly and helpful. Thanks again see you very soon. Terry and Alison

Ordered Jerk Chicken/Curried Goat/Oxtail/Rice and Peas/Fried Chicken/Fried Dumplings/Mac & Cheese(I was hungry and the variety of Jamaican food on offer is amazing). Every morsel of every item purchased was fantastic! Full of flavour! Freshly cooked and large portion sizes; excellent value for money! I will definetely be going back even if it is nearly a two hour drive away! What's distance when it comes to excellent food!

Purchased a mutton dinner tonight on way home from work.....dry as hell as if warmed from a bowl the night before....6 chunks of meat..2 of which wer bone..1 gristle..absolutely horrendous....never again..

Personally speaking, it's the best place I have had Caribbean food from. Mutton curry, brown stewed chicken and their fried chicken are very, very tasty.

Some highs some lows. Curry Goat meat was super tender and moist, but the flavour was a bit bland. Could taste no discernible Scotch Bonnet or thyme flavour, so no spice heat. Brown stew chicken was tender but bland with very little gravy. Hard food was bland and the dumpling like a wet hockey puck, ie inedible. Rice and peas OK but bland and under seasoned. Salt fish fritters were not bad but more fritter than salt fish and the flat pancake type of fritter rather than a croquette type. But I enjoyed them. I’ll happily finish the leftovers for lunch tomorrow but they’ll need lots of hot sauce.

Absolutely superb food, packed with flavour and beautifully prepared and presented. Portion size represented great value for price and quality very much there. The lady that called to check my order was very polite and professional, I could she cared about customer satisfaction. The delivery driver was friendly with a great big smile. First time trying this place. Driver called and said he was outside and had been knocking for long. I came outside of my apartment and realised he wasn't there, I tried to call him and he would not answer. He then called back after I had been standing at the door of my apartment building since he called before and said "Can you come and get your food?" I explained to him I was already outside and he was probably in the wrong place. He then realised he was in the wrong place and said he would call if he had any other problems. He then called when he was outside and he said he couldn't get in even though I wrote already on the justeat notes to park at the black gate and come to the front door a few feet away on the corner. He then came after I had to explain to him how to get to me for the third time. I hand him a £20 note and the food was £19. He then said he didn't have the change and walked away. And honestly the food was not nice at all. Now all of this is okay I get that sometimes the satnav messes up but I had to wait at my door standing there for quite a while, he was rude on the phone and didn't even give me my change and on top of all that the food was not nice. The goat was dry and the oxtail was bland. The sexy juice tasted like it was water mixed with condensed milk. Would not recommend. First and last time I order here I would recommend Formula Jamaican Restaurant for in the Oldbury area, good food and good customer service.

Bit disappointing really. Still looking for that Caribbean takeaway that cares about quality and cooking integrity. Not found here unfortunately. Fried fish was tired and old...Had to add vinegar myself to get some flavour into the tired veg Escovitch...Saltfish fritters mostly dough heavy and light on saltfish. Rice and peas again had the texture of reheated rice. Over cooked and disintegrating. Stew chicken dumplings were OK but yet again very heavy on the dough. The search continues....for honesty and integrity and proper fresh home cooking...
