I have been visiting this bakery for many years and their bread and rolls are excellent. Unfortunately we live about an hour away so cannot visit every week,if we could we would buy all our bakery items from here. The service is fantastic and very friendly. Make sure you have cash when you call as cards not accepted.

We don’t often go to Ruthin but out for a drive stumbled across this bakery. We love a good old fashioned bakery and this was all we had hoped for when seeing the sign. Hidden down a side street it’s a little piece of heaven. Home made sandwiches using their own bread were generously filled, the cakes were divine oh and did I mention we bought three loaves of bread home! We will definitely be going back and is worth the forty minute drive from our house alone. Friendly staff too we really can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Hidden down a passageway in Ruthin, this bakery is one of the last of its kind in North Wales. Proper bread in many varieties and the best honey buns in the world. Long may it continue.

A tiny hidden bakery in Ruthin opposite John Jones Butchers (whose great meat they use in their pies) produces fabulous delicious pies (lovely chunks of meat, tasty gravy AND great pastry) REAL doughnuts (ring and jam), amazing Granary and other loaves and so much more. Run by a very friendly and dedicated couple this bakery is one of, if not the, best bakeries in North Wales. (Go early and not on Mondays when they now close to make their dedication a bit more sustainable!)

Great selection of British bread and cakes. Particularly fond of the mixed brown and white loaves. Try it!

A quick stop when walking through town. Hidden away down an alley. Enjoyed a lemon tart and purchased a small loaf that was has half white/half wheat. Lovely. Sat on the wall to enjoy our purchases a bench might be a nice addition.

Stopped in to see what they had. It was a smaller shop than anticipated, but smelled so good. Walked out with a very delicious caramel dessert. It was set back off the street and looked like you were in a private driveway, but aside from that...it's a "Need to taste".

We decided to call here on the way to the Gaol. Just up the main road, up a bit of a passageway - it is sign posted from the front (behind Eagle Stores). Fresh buns and cakes looked lovely. Ordered three chocolate flapjacks, slice of cake and two warm pork pies. Best pork pie I've tried outside Yorkshire and it was beautiful, and still lovely and warm just over £7 for all this. Will be going back before we go home to try the peppered steak slice. Definitely recommend!!!

Eagles bakery is well hidden down a passageway off Clwyd Street but do look it out. Apart from the range of traditional breads they also make good variety of cakes and savories. Of the latter you must try the sausage rolls. In our view they are by far the best for miles around. Open from early morning to late afternoon there is always a big friendly welcome from Wyn the baker. This is purely a bakery and not a cafe though you can get sandwiches etc made up and then take them to the nearby park at Cae Ddol to eat them.

We visited the Ruthin festival at the weekend and feeling a little peckish we noticed an A Board sign pointing to the bakery down a small side street. We decided to have one of their locally made pies and a home made sausage roll. They were so good that we bought more. Well worth seeking out and trying their bakery products..

Chanced upon this bakery after lunch & we were attracted by the old school, traditional shop front & the tempting treats on display. Got a vanilla slice & a pineapple tart. The vanilla slice was full of thick custard which oozed out the side when we bit into it. The pineapple tart was very interesting; we haven't come across it in other bakeries. There is a crumbly crust at the bottom, filled with cooked down pineapple, topped with cream, with the yellow icing on top. It was very messy to eat on the go, like the vanilla slice, but was a yummy treat! We were tempted to go back in for more sweet treats but resisted. While we were there, there was a steady stream of customers, so it's clearly very popular. Great little find! Defo recommend a visit when you're in Rhyl!
