Holidaying locally, we always order from Dynasty for a treat! Super easy placing our order, lovely staff, and the food - absolutely gorgeous! Hot, tasty and plenty of it. Thank you Dynasty :)

Delicious takeaway to end a lovely family holiday to Newton Stewart. We had a mix of meals, starters and sides - prawn/chicken/vegetarian. Good reviews all round! Reasonably priced meals, decent portion sizes. Only things we would have liked to see on the menu that wasn't there was salt and pepper chips and tofu options. Would reccomend this takeaway - as good as most across the country. Note: the takeaway is cash only (nearest cashpoint is just over the road). Thank you Dynasty.

Massive portions of very tasty food, egg fried rice is really good, as are the chips. Reasonable prices too. The only issue is that they are too popular, so you need to order well in advance. We couldn't find a menu online, so, instead of phoning up we popped in at 5:40pm on a Thursday evening to order and were told to come back for the food at 7:10pm! When I was picking mine up (spot on 7:10pm to be fair) they were turning people away, saying it would not be ready by 9 pm when they closed. I've posted pics of the menu so you can order well in advance 😀

Great service and amazing food!! This is an excellent Chinese - would definitely recommend! The special fried rice was delicious and the chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce was very good!

DISGUSTING! Got something simple to try it out , chicken fried rice was soggy and melted the polystyrene in was in , Curry sauces had a layer of oil on top , chips were soooo greasy they fell out the bottom of the bag when I picked it up , couldn’t eat the prawn crackers as they looked and had the texture of the polystyrene the rice dish came in , avoid at all costs

Couldn't even take an order even though I called 3 hours before closing ..

Won't eat from any other take away place in Newton Stewart.

Typical Chinese - ordered a takeaway from here, took about 20 mins to be ready. Soup is nice, Main meals are good, but avoid the Salt and Pepper Ribs, they are horrific 🤢 batter covered gross bits of Rib - no meat 👎 Price is reasonable

We ordered from dynasty on our last night at the conifer lodges, the service was lovely and the food was amazing. Best Chinese I have eaten in a long time!

We ordered from Dynasty last year whilst staying in Newton Stewart, and had to go again whilst on holidays again. Definitely recommend ordering in advance as they can be very busy. Absolutely gorgeous food, our fave place for a treat! The Garlic and Chilli prawns are stunning.. probably the best thing I’ve ever tasted! :) mmmm! Will definitely be ordering again before we go home. Thank you Dynasty!

Unfortunately due to ill health, Dynasty is now doing a cut down menu. And only three days per week. Still doing my favourite spring roll. Mandy and her brothers are doin their very best to keep going. Had spring roll, bbq spare ribs, chicken Cantonese style, more than enough for two days. I’ll continue to wait till Mandy can fit me in for a meal. More than worth the wait.

First and last time we get a takeaway from here, sorry to say was the worst chinese food have ever had. The beef was hard and chewy you would have needed razor sharp teeth to attempt to eat it, bland, no flavour and very small portion sizes. My daughter had the chick and corn soup which was like eating salty water. Poor value for money and very dissatisfied. The only positive I can say is the lady that served us was friendly.

Avoid Ordered breast of chicken curry, It was disgusting the chicken was not cut up the fillets were dry and rubbery,and the sauce had mushrooms through it , they don't sell chow mein as they don't have noodles which I find a bit strange, would avoid this place

Been here twice now and I thought the 1st time was a one off so I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt but sadly my 2nd experience was equally as bad. They don't even sell Chow Mein noodles which is a first for any Chinese. I would stay clear of Chinese full stop in Newtown Stewart because unfortunately their rival isn't much better.

Never had a bad meal from Dynasty. Had the crispy spring roll, deep-fried king prawn with chilli and garlic, with a portion of plain chow mein. It was amazing. Too much to eat in one go, enough for next day leftovers. Unfortunately due to covid, Mandy has had to close temporarily. But thankfully she is now open, all beit serving through the window. Mandy messaged me asking if I’d tried the chicken spring rolls, also home made. I will have by next week.😀 Best Chinese takeout anywhere. Keep it up. Good job Mandy. 👍🏻

Wonderful food great service so good people will order and wait hours to collect it. Often there is a queue down the street waiting for it to open. We travel 36miles as a round trip to sample their wares.well done Dynasty.

Was staying at Conifer lodges and really fancied Chinese, it was amazing, best Chinese food we've had in a long time, we booked delivery and it was bang on and piping hot, would highly highly recommend, pancake roll the size of you face! And delicious!

Placed the order, told there would be a wait, thought about an hour, we're then told the wait would be three hours!!!!!!!

As a regular visitor to the area we always order here because the food is outstanding. Like others we’ve been disappointed when they couldn’t accommodate our order when we wanted it, but that’s because they’re a small family business that’s incredibly popular. If you try to order on Saturday afternoon for Saturday evening you’ve probably left it too late. Order well in advance and you won’t be disappointed.

Crispy pancake roll ? First class. Asked for combination chow mein with sweet and sour sauce, without the chow mein sauce. Absolutely no problem. Mandy’s is the best Chinese take out anywhere. 👍🏻

This was a great Chinese takeaway. Called in our order at 7.30pm on a Sunday evening and were told we had to wait an hour & half - ehhhhh!! Eventually we got our take away, we picked up, nearly 2 hrs later, I have to say the wait was well worth it. This was one of the nicest Chinese food I've had. Absolutely delicious. Would certainly recommend it, as long as your not in a hurry......

As always, I read reviews before I go anywhere - this Chinese was brilliant. Wasn’t too keen on the 2 hour wait but it was worth the wait - highlights recommend Sweet & Sour Cantonese style, family also had a meal each and every one of us enjoyed it, particularly my dad who said the ribs were the best he had ever tasted! Couldn’t believe how reasonably priced it was either! Will definetly give it another go!

Just had my starter. Large spring roll. Best ever. And freshly made. One night was a disaster!! They didn’t have the ingredients to make the rolls... Proof that everything here is made to order. People complaining that it takes too long to get a takeaway???. Maybe that should tell you something??? I would much rather wait for an hour, than have everything in ten minutes. Mandy is lovely. The chicken, chilli & garlic is 2 die 4!

Last night of self catering holiday in the area so we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway. Long waiting time (over 1 hour) gave us high hopes that the food would be fresh and quality. Service was friendly and portions decent. However, we found the fried rice rather stodgy, the chicken curry didn’t have much sauce and the rest of the mains were described as edible rather than amazing. Perhaps it’s because we’re spoilt at home with an amazing Chinese but if I was in the area again, I wouldn’t rush back.

For starters,, the best spring roll ever. Main, Shanghai chicken with plain chow mien. Enough for three meals. Super fresh food, made to order. Keep up the good work Mandy.

Have got to say it is one of the most disappointing meals, not just Chinese, but any take away. I think the owners need to check out the competition as the bbq spare ribs had no sauce, the soft noodles were dry, the sweet and sour sauce tasted like sweet vinegar and also the fact that salt and pepper chicken wings and bbq sauce aren't on the menu is a massive downer to this takeaway.

We drove to the Chinese to order food and were told due to them being busy could we collect in an hour. So we went back and the food was lovely and hot, fresh and very tasty. Reasonably priced.

What a fantastic takeaway, if I could uproot Dynasty and plant it in our town I would. Don't know why but they are way above any Chinese takeaway I have tried ☺☺☺.

We ordered by phone to collect as soon as they opened at 4pm because we had heard they're extremely busy and you can wait a long time! We were not disappointed! We ordered the garlic chilli chicken and Szechuan chicken extra hot with rice and chips. Delicious food and made spicy like we asked. I'd definitely recommend this place but I'd say phone as soon as they open and arrange to collect, as they're super busy from the minute they open! That tells you all you need to know if people are queuing at 4pm both inside and on the phone to get through!

When lay staying at a lodge nearby we decided to have a take away on the Saturday night. The food here is amazing. I went at 430pm and had to wait 50min wait which was fine as it was worth it. It's a very popular take away as it was busy and some people had a 2 hour wait. The food is obviously cooked to order and it was really fresh and delicious. Would definitely return. Thank you :)

This Chinese is really worth it! If you're visiting near by, go and get a menu and plan in advance. We did after reading the reviews here. We ordered at opening for two and a half hours later.

Desde aquí intentamos en llevar durante sus vacaciones en una cabaña remota. Servido por una dama encantadora. Fueron muy ocupados ya que el teléfono estaba constantemente sonando. Pedí y debido a la demora en los pedidos, pregunté si un taxi podría recogerlo y entregarlo. Lo que hicieron!

Ordered early after reading other reviews. Ordered at 4.30 for collection at 6.15. All on time and food beautiful. We were staying at Conifer lodges so only 5 mins drive. The only problem was finding a menu online as there wasn't one to be found...

The food was amazing. Deep fried chilli beef outstanding... chow main to die for I wish they delivered to GREENOCK also best beef curry I've tasted in a long time.. I have left a menu at conifer lodges so if u stay there check menu out & get ordering u won't be disappointed 😁😁

Fresco, limpio, increíble sabor. No he tenido mejor en ningún otro sitio. Servicio amable, comida de la mejor calidad. Recomiendo encarecidamente la carne frito con chile y ajo, para morirse! Otra recomendación, llame primero y pedir reserva con antelación, es muy concurrida y popular por una razón! Mejor comida china en Britain y he comimos en unos 30 GB + restricciones en! Me hubiese gustado que comer en la zona. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Had to wait till next day as there was over one hour wait, proving how popular and top quality the food is here, the kind women told me if I want to book take away for next day, which I was happy to do... And oh yes! It was worth the wait. Highly recommend no.25 deep fried beef with chilli and garlic. Mmhmm good friend rice also. Will be back for more. Fresh, clean, quality tasting. En una noche cogimos Mandy inusualmente tranquilo. No tengo ningún reparo aboot esperar una hora para la comida. Chow mein, especial y sí, Mandy, dulce y agria salsa jajaja. Espere 10 MINUTOS! ! . Verduras crujientes encantador. Aún la mejor comida china en cualquier lugar.

First of all I noticed the "terrible" review mentions "too busy with home delivery orders", they do not offer home delivery so the authenticity of that review leaves a lot to be desired. More than likely some grumpy nasty person with an extremely sad life. We moved to Newton Stewart 3 years ago and every single time we have ordered food it has been top class (nearly weekly) the reason there is a wait is because EVERYTHING is cooked fresh, and cooked properly, everything is flavoured perfectly, what would you rather something pre cooked and chucked in the micro? Mandy at the front desk is very welcoming and knowledgable to suggesting new meals. All in all an excellent Chinese and an asset to Newton Stewart! Credit where credit is due.. top marks..

Just read a review, where the person couldn't believe they were too busy to serve him. Maybe that should tell you something!!!. This place is so good, so busy, sometimes they are too busy!!!. I waited for over an hour for my meal. Being a Saturday night, I expected nothing less. I'm more than willing to wait for my meal. Fantastic food, Mandy on the front desk is lovely. Haters should stop giving negative reviews because they are so good.

I have never been to a Chinese takeaway or any other takeaway for that matter, where I have been told they are too busy to serve us. It wasnt a huge order, one appetiser, 2 mains and one side. After writing down our order we were then informed they were too busy with home delivery orders to take ours. It would be at least half an hour before they could start our order. I don't think so. We are on holiday in the area and drove 15 miles to find a takeaway. We found another one at the other end of the same street, The Unicorn, lovely lady looked after us. Despite it being a sit in restaurant as well our order was ready in 10 minutes.

Recommended to us by the local police oddly enough. We were told the food took a little while to arrive, and it does.... but you know it's been cooked just for you! Service quick and very smiley staff, food was hot and exactly what we asked for. We were on holiday so maybe next time we'll order different things, but what we ordered was nice, just nice. No point in saying what we ordered as different tastes will think what we had was the best thing ever. That said, we WILL be back, and we WILL try other things. The freshness of the cooking and lovely staff are a big deal. :)

Ok some people complain about the wait, but ask yourself, why do you have to wait???. 1,, because they're busy. 2,, because everything is made to order. We tried to order take-away twice from Dynasty. The first time was around 6pm in the middle of the week. There was no one else in the take-away and the girl behind the counter didn't seem to be particularly busy. We weren't trying to order anything special, just a couple of meals with one rice to take-away. The surprise came when we were told our meal would take 40 minutes to prepare! I'd always been under the assumption that Chinese take-aways were considered to be 'fast' food. The girl told us we should have ordered ahead by phone. The fact that we were on holiday and our O2 mobiles didn't seem to have any coverage anywhere in Dumfries & Galloway made that quite difficult. As we were in a rush we didn't place our order but did go back a couple of days later to try again. It was 5:30pm and this time we were told our order would be ready at 8pm!!! Utterly ridiculous. You can get served in the busiest restaurants far quicker than that. We went to the Chinese down the road, the Unicorn, and our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. The food may be good at the Dynasty, we never found out because we weren't prepared to wait two and a half hours for fast food.

Probably one of the best Chinese takeaway's we've had when on holiday. Loses a mark because of the 2 and a half hour wait and also had to organize a taxi to collect. Having said that, it was not expensive, even with the taxi fare and was well worth the wait. Would definitely use again.

Always fresh ingredients, good variety of dishes. Been in hundreds of times over a period of at least 15 years, never been disappointed!

Plenty of food, I had the chicken chow mein, boyfriend had chicken chilli had a nice kick to it! found it satisfactory and filling. Very busy, took one hour, gave us plenty of time to have a look round the town.

Aw mate this place is heaven, chicken chilli and garlic with fried rice is absolute quality man, Scranned every bit of it and the portions are pretty big. Would defo recommend getting ursel down here

Purchased several meals while visiting town we found meals on the small side plus a bit expensive for what you get have had better quality and price on my extensive British and world travels.

Another great carry out. K not a sit in, although I'm sure many years ago it was!!. A sure sign the food is made fresh, is the wait, It can be anything from 20 minutes to an hour. I'd gladly wait an hour for quality food. Mandy is lovely, the food is fantastic. Keep it up:)

This little Chinese takeaway serves exceptional food and Mandy is always at the front of house to offer a warm welcome. You can get takeaway but have to order a taxi to pick it up or you can place a order and pick it up when it is ready

The reason Dynasty is so busy - sometimes too busy - is because it's very popular with the locals. The food is well worth the wait and my only complaint is thet the portions are too big.

Attempted to order a simple chicken chow mein and chips. I was told they were too busy! Incredible!
