Went in on a Friday night and there was more staff than customers yet still had to clear our own table!

Nice pub, good atmosphere, very friendly staff.

Service very poor waiting 59 mins for food had to ask for cutlery!. Food dry and over cooked.

We have stopped here for lunch on Sunday. The young service was fine and served food as well. They have a vast variety of drinks. For sure, I do recommend stopping by.

I love to visit DV8 - there are always amazing cocktails and great music. It's a little on the pricier side for drinks but a lot of effort goes into making them and the staff are very efficient and friendly.

Food and drink was fantastic but unfortunately the service wasn't as good.

For somebody who hasn't been 'out out' for a very long time I really enjoyed my visit here. It has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, gorgeous setting, friendly staff and amazing drinks. I'd really recommend the Dancing Queen cocktail.

Had lovely birthday cocktails in the garden on Saturday. The drinks were excellent, really creative cocktails, loved the star burst one! Had lots of fun, the staff are lovely and the service was fantastic x

Fantastic venue, with amazing food. They have a fantastic cocktail menu if your wanting a few cocktails, alternatively they also do the most refreshingly delicious mocktails, perfect for just a little afternoon drink, for those non drinkers or the designated drivers out there. I didn't have one today, but they also do the most amazing cheesecake.

The food here is fantastic, and the service from the staff is great. Can't wait to go again

This is a lovely place for a drink. The surroundings are lovely, both inside and out. There is an outside bar area which is amazing. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Whilst I have not eaten here yet, the food I have seen being delivered to other tables looks delicious.

My daughter took me here on day two of it reopening. We had a beautiful lunch in the lovely courtyard. Brilliant setting, welcoming professional service and excellent food and mocktails. A must try for anyone who enjoys great food and first class service.

I’ve already been to DV8 twice since lockdown eased a bit and I’m never disappointed. For is amazing and cocktails are even better. My faves are DV8 Chips with chilli and goats cheese with a Long Island iced tea! Service is also great, the team are friendly and can’t do enough. Looking forward to my next trip already.I’ve also been for a coffee and lunch for some alfresco working! Beats the home office any day!

Staff very friendly always making sure you have a drink. Food is a very high quality and banging chips must try.

We visited dv8 for our sons graduation as sadly he didn’t get one with covid , I have to say that this lovely place has covid restrictions and social distancing completely right , we were greeted and taken to a table in the courtyard, seated and served , drinks and food arrived very quickly and they were busy but nothing seemed to much . The food was delicious, and the cocktail menu was extensive I can highly recommend the salted caramel martini.

Lovely food and friendly staff.. We went last weekend for a family meal. We did expect to wait, as it was a Saturday evening. However after 20 mins we managed to get in and had a lovely table. The staff were excellent and we all enjoyed our meal. Definitely will be back.

I went for lunch with my mum today and WOW, it was lovely! First come, first served and we waited about ten minutes for a table which was amazing considering the weather. It was full but the service was great, the cocktails and food are so good! The staff are all so lovely and attentive, even when they’re so busy they take the time to stop and chat with you which is lovely. Will definitely be back!

Had lunch in the garden area today with a friend. Delightful staff, great food and a lovely atmosphere. Thanks to all concerned for making it such a nice occasion.

We went for lunch, myself my husband and my 3 children. It’s a first come by first served basis. It’s a lovely outdoor area with good space to allow social distancing. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The food was great and we didn’t feel rushed to hurry up to allow someone else to have the table. It was a lovely meal in lovely surroundings. I would definitely recommend this place

Lovely experience from the get go , booking was simple, we arrived at 2.30 to be greeted by a lovely young waitress ( Maddy) she explained all the COVID guidelines to us and showed us to our table. We selected our food and drinks both arrived well within the expected time frame. Both food and drink were beautifully presented. Food quality was spot on , the Dv8 club sandwich was delicious Hats off the the team , a well organised , SAFE place to enjoy quality food and drink with great hospitality.Well done team Dv8

New tier 2 Covid rules being taken seriously and idea outdoor seating with heaters for tables not from the same household. Service was friendly and professional. Two people had the stir fry - really good portions and they really enjoyed. I had the steak sandwich; it was tasty but I wouldn’t recommend as not sure how much steak there was in there! Would visit again but choose differently.

Thank you for a lovely lunch with family. I don’t live in Sandbach (shame) and was very impressed by how carefully these guys are following the rules during these times. We sat outside under a patio heater and food was lovely and reasonably priced. Service was prompt and friendly. No “rude managers” in sight (see previous interesting reviews). Staff we're lovely cocktails were superb recommend

Visited last night for food and drinks however we ended up leaving after 1 round due to how rude the manager was. As soon as we walked in the door we were made to feel unwelcome. “Just so you know ladies I had to get Nasty with people last week for not following the 1 person per in the toilet rules so make sure you follow the rules”. We were all surprised at his abrupt tone considering we had just walked through the door.We asked to move tables due to being next to the fire and being boiling hot and nobody came back to us, so we asked again at which point we were simply told “the manager said no”. We went outside to the smoking area to be told we needed to move twice which we did as the tables were booked out for later in the evening ( eventually ending up in an unlit corner standing up by the bins whilst others sat on tables by heat lamps!) , then as we were still outside were shouted at to put our masks on, even though we were still the the smoking area/corner and in the process of putting our masks on to come Inside. It was more his patronising tone than anything as you can probably tell from other reviews so we decided to leave. Before we left I asked if I could have a word with him to explain that if we had been treated better we probably would have spent a lot more time and money in there. When I asked about why we were not allowed to move he told us that they were fully booked and “obviously theres a fire on because it’s cold outside”, which would be fine if we were told that in the first place and the restaurant wasn’t empty (we know the purpose of having a fire so that comment was completely unnecessary, may I add that my back was seated less than a meter from the front of the fire place ) . He spoke to me and my friends appallingly and tried to argue with us in the middle of the restaurant, speaking to us as if we were stupid. In the end I just asked for the card machine so we could get out of there and to avoid a slanging match whilst others ate their meals. He also said he has asked us all to put our masks on multiple times which was a outright lie as we had only left the table once which I mentioned above. And even if this was the case there is a much more courteous way to go about things rather than barking at your customers ! All of the staff looked absolutely miserable and on edge which I would say speaks volumes as well. I’ve spoke to a few friends and family who have been who have all told me about similar experiences! Such a shame as has the potential to be lovely. Fully expecting a response on here that’s equally as rude as he was if past reviews are anything to go by.

We’ve been a couple of times since lockdown restrictions were lifted and I cannot fault the staff, service or food. It’s all very COVID safe, table service and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend

Everything about this place is really good apart from the manager, he was shouting at people for talking loudly which was outside shouting at you for swearing and screamed at us when we went the toilet due to a 1 person rule at the moment. I would recommend this place to other friends fo this manger wasn’t so stuck up. I would think that the congleton one would be nice but I’ve never been.

This is not our first visit to DV8 Sandbach and it certainly won’t be our last. We are always drawn to DV8 because of its consistently lovely food the very friendly and very amenable staff. Well today was no different we had a beautiful meal and were served by smiling staff who couldn’t do any more to help us. In our current climate I think it is important to support our local businesses that are trying so hard to make us feel welcome well DV8 sandbach you did this without even trying we felt very safe and had a lovely meal. Thankyou to the chefs the food was delicious and Thankyou to all the members of staff Who made my birthday most enjoyable.

Absolutely amazing staff all so friendly! We were there for a while and enjoyed various cocktails. Ethan and Dale were AMAZING!!!! And also Abbie and Chris - so friendly and accommodating. A lot better thank Manchester bars!!! Will come again definitely!!

Attended DV8 on Friday evening for a drink with a good friend and we were looked after brilliantly by the waiter called Ethan. Always smiling and attentive to our needs making sure we were never waiting for our next drink. The atmosphere was nice and pleasant even under the covid regulations. I re attended on Monday evening with another friend to take advantage of the eat out to help out scheme. My friend has an assist dog which the staff were aware of on our arrival and subsequently made no fuss about allowing them into the rear beer garden. We were looked after by a couple of people on this occasion who both again we attentive to our needs. Had the steak which was a good thick cut and had some nice taste. Chocolate brownie for dessert was lovely and not to sweet presented well. Id have liked more Ice cream with it... but then don’t we all.....A pleasant evening where the young assist dog was allowed to feel welcome by the staff. Lovely two very different evenings thank you

Great for drinks and a bite to eat with friends. We booked a table. Best to book if looking to go Monday to wednesday in the present climate. We were sat far enough apart from other guests. I noticed a hand sanitising station on the way out but nothing on the way in. Could do with hand sanitizer upon entering. We enjoyed a lovely stir fry and super food salad which I asked for extra ingredients and they were happy to accommodate. Good gin selection and even when the drinks were overcharged, the guys sorted it out straight away when I queried it. Lovely evening. Thanks guys. You're doing a great job helping us all get back to normal. Stay safe.

We booked a table for half 2 on Monday, we turned up just before and we were asked to wait outside as our table was not quite ready and the gent gestured over to where we were presumably going to be seated, we said this was absolutely fine and stepped outside. Soon after two girls walked in behind us but they were not asked to step outside (bare in mind it was a hot day) another family of 3 soon followed who also had a table booked for 2:30 and they were asked to step outside. Half an hour passes and there is 7 people in total stood outside waiting for a table. A member of the other party went in and asked what was happening to which I followed to see what was going on. The girl then seated the family of 3, I simply asked if there was a table ready for 4 or not as after waiting half an hour we would have gone somewhere else. She replied over and over again "I am serving this gent" in a rude manner. The two girls who were just a walk in had already been seated. The person who was on the desk first then came to deal with it and I explained how I thought the girl was rude and patronising and he simply said thats just how I train my staff and told me to breathe. Whether he was joking or not I found it quite patronising. We were then seated on the smallest table available even though there were 4 people eating. After eventually being seated half an hour late our order was taken quite quickly, the food then took over an hour to come and even then I had to ask for it. I wouldnt mind but at this point there were only two other tables both of which had already eaten. To top it off the toilets were absolutely disgusting and there was no way I was taking my younger sister in them and to make it even better one of the chefs was seen in her uniform clearly going to and from the toilets with buckets of water about 10 times. The worst service I have ever had in a restaurant and I certainly wont be returning.

Avoid!!! We arrived at dv8 at 2.25 for our booking for 2.30 after entering we were told that our table wasn't ready yet so could we wait outside. We waited in the 32°heat for 25 mins then went to see what was happening. The table we had booked had been given to the people who walked in after us with no booking!!! After a lot of deliberation and the staff saying they weren't in the wrong we were seated, 4 of us on a table for 2 (very cramped). We eventually got our food at 4.10. Awful service and the toilets were absolutely disgusting, I made my 10 year old wait until we left. I will stick to Congleton from now on!!

Having arranged to meet up for lunch we were surprised to see such appalling service from a restaurant. We were there for almost 3 hours and in that time we only had 2 drinks as there was no one waiting on tables to see if we wanted a drink and at a time when you are told distinctly 'Do not try and approach the bar' you would expect that there would be staff checking if the food was okay or if you wanted any more drinks. We had asked to be moved to a table outside which did not happen(there were tables available) and we were squeezed onto a small table inside which was unpleasantly hot. We sat for almost 45 minutes with dirty plates on our table and despite asking one of the staff for a drink we were soon forgotten. We overheard a couple of complaints that were just met with the response that they were short staffed or unexpectedly busier than anticipated. I wouldn't go back there again. The toilets were also not checked/cleaned regularly as you would expect when there is a push on stricter hygiene practices. Very disappointing experience all round.

To wait over an hour for mains was unacceptable. They clearly need more staff on, food was average! It was my first experience here & I had heard good things about this place but sadly I wont be back.

We visited DV8 for my daughters 9th birthday with family, the staff were great, did everything to accommodate us, especially a young waiter called Dale, he couldn’t of been nicer, makes all the difference. Food was fab 😁

Called in on Sunday afternoon without booking. Offered a table inside or outside - sat outside. Food was excellent - we ordered the Cajun Salad and Club Sandwich. Both were terrific value. Everything was really well organised. Social distancing observed without impacting on the atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

What a night! We went in very dubious the name feels like it is a modern bar, and we thought it was clubby. At the weekend we believe it is, but in the week, it’s got a gorgeous interiors, and the staff are more than helpful! Else would love to thank, Lydia, maddy, for a gorgeous eveing, made us feel very welcome, put the fire on and couldn’t do enough for us it is a defiant recommendation if visiting Sandbach.

Great place to relax, great choice of drinks and food. Always a warm welcome and the tall manager is always very welcoming and very good at his job.

Amazing cocktails! Nicely presented although overpriced. The prices of the cocktails are a bit over the top considering this isn’t a proper cocktail bar. The back garden is nice, full of heating laps and blankets.

Went to DV8 in Sandbach for lunch with friends, just have to say the food was great but the lady who served us was outstanding. She was called Abby and was helpful with food choices, attentive without being there every 5 minutes, very polite and generally just lovely. A credit to DV8

First time visiting during the day. Takes my crown for best breakfast in Sandbach. We had the big breakfast and their new breakfast pizza which surprised us how nice it was. Very impressed.
