Best in Richmond, service is always excellent with a warm greeting from Karen and her staff. Extensive selection for breakfast including good vegetarian options. Great choice of teas and coffees; I love the white pomegranate tea. Savory and sweet dishes are all good value and...

Folks - I like breakfasts and this place is amazing. Ignore the entrance up the stairs and straight into a display of fresh baked cakes (difficult to side step). Seated quickly with very good service, might appear (no, it is) ott at times. Ordered tea and a full english. There was no grease on the food - stunning. Bacon was lovely, sausage looked like a sausage, mushroom was beautiful and the potato was pleasant. The Black pudding was sensational - crisp and moist. The other breakfast was a healthy porridge and that looked great - just not for me. No complaints.Toilets very clean.

The Wensleydale Heifer Restaurant

06/02/2018: We decided to eat in the snug, and at lunch time rather than an evening I started with a 70's style prawn cocktail, plenty of prawns and really lovely, my wife having Smoked ham and spring onion fritters, which were very different and really good. For main my wife had fish and chips, which is always good, I was a bit more adventurous and had Banana leaf baked Bass fillet with white crab meat, a coconut curry sauce and citrus rice. Beautifully presented and Every morsel was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious, the rice was moist and fragrant, the curry sauce fruity and complimented the bass and crab wonderfully well. I finished with a Trio of Lemon, which consisted of a creme brulee, a baked alaska and a lemon possett....... Totally scrummy.
03/01/2018: I have often wanted to try this wonderful place but for various reasons a stay here has eluded me.Well, on one hand I'm so glad that I've finally tried it but equally annoyed with myself that I didn't try harder to get here. We stayed in the 'night at the moves' themed room and were both thoroughly impressed with everything about the room. From 3D movies and extra 'Hollywood' treats its just a great experience!! Next visit will be the James Bond room for us. Every member of staff that we met were clearly passionate about the Wensleydale Heifer. Our food in the restaurant was amongst the best food that I've ever eaten in a restaurant.Every course and every ingredient within that course was perfect. I This is going to be a place that I will visit again in the not too distant future.
