The food was amazing, the starters/sharers were cooked really well and the flavours were great, all the dips/sauces went well with each dish which makes it easy to share. Our server was really polite, friendly and really helpful. Would recommend going here, the food was fantastic and the price was very reasonable for what we had. If you like to leave a tip I recommend bringing cash (:

Haven’t been in here for a while but still a good experience, the place is looking a little old and tired but the staff were really friendly and the food we had was really nice, very convenient if your shopping around the grafton centre area.

Booked a table for a Christmas meet up, firstly no where to park, apart from expensive car park at the rear, the pub seemed nice, a good selection on the menu, apart from the fact that when we went to order they had, No Chicken, No Steaks, No burgers. Which really cut down the menu to only a couple of items. Food came ages to come. When it arrived hot and tasty. Same issue with the puddings. Must say the staff where very nice amd welcoming. But they need to sort out the kitchen and menu. Also got a parking ticket, which although not their fault, sort of topped off our visit. All a bit stressful.

The worst food ever burger came raw in the middle and steak and ale pie so overcooked it snapped rather than cut as I tried to cut into it.

I was disappointed with the service. They forgot things that were meant to come with the meal - I had the vegan burger and it didn't come with the coleslaw or cheese in the burger, as it said on the menu. I had to ask for both. I don't know if they had a new chef who didn't know the menu, or what, because we went when it was extremely quiet and no-one else was eating food. If it was really busy then I might understand an error or two, but there was no excuse for the service to be this bad. When I did get the coleslaw, it tasted old and bad, so I couldn't eat it. It was a shame as I was there for a nice meal with my girlfriend. Her food was fine, but the experience felt spoiled to me by the order being so wrong - I felt like I should have got some money back, but I was too shy to ask. I felt ripped off. The person bringing out the food seemed nice and apologized for the mix up, I felt bad for them. The drinks (tap water) were okay and the burger itself was good, but I don't think I'll be coming back any time soon. Should have just gone on Spoons.

I like to be realistic about reviews so here is mine- Would put no stars but that’s not possible. I don’t like to say a pub is terrible but here was the worst pub experience for me. The Sunday roast the gravy just tasted like pure wine (however it doesn’t state anywhere that it was gravy wine). I told the manager the issue to which he replied “can’t do anything about taste preference” which is blatantly rude which it’s not my fault there was no specifying in the wine gravy all of the food was really offputting the meat wasn’t cut properly and I left there spending over £40 on literally just some drinks and chips. Not even a partial refund for the inconvenience is appalling considering I literally only had one bite of the whole food. Wouldn’t advise going here. Very quiet (now I know why it’s so quiet on a Sunday) and isn’t suitable for children or elderly. Wouldn’t be going here again and i advise everyone else the same because you won’t enjoy it. Thanks.

My go to spot to catch up with friends. Very close to ARU university. Delicious pub food, rustic and cozy vibes. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Very polite and friendly staff. Beautiful garden to sit during the summer. Affordable drinks.

A good Greene king pub! Students get 20% off which is a bonus as it’s opposite the college. The garden is perfect for getting some sun and you can park your car round the back. Good range of lager as well. Thank you to the girls behind the bar, both very lovey

Went for lunch on a very quiet week day. Apparently they had a new menu but they didn’t have half the dishes we wanted which was a bit disappointing. Service was ok but not great. Wasn’t asked if wanted sauces etc with the meal and dishes were just put on table without being asked whose was for who. Although the lady who took the order was friendly enough.

Lovely pub, a bit unnoticeable if you're passing but worth dropping into. Good food at reasonable prices for Cambridge and drinks service is fast and friendly. So much room, have never struggled to get a table and a nice big garden out the back with parasols to shield from the sun if you wish. A great pit stop if you're passing through the area, and a handy car park out behind the garden but not run by the pub so is pay and display I believe.

We were looking for lunch and celebration drinks after a friend completed the Cambridge Half Marathon. We knew it would be busy in town but the first pub we found was the Duke of Cambridge which was only half full and had several large tables free which suited our group of 6. First impressions as an ale drinker wasn’t great with only one cask ale to choose from and were then told they had run out of hot chocolate and there wasn’t any Prosecco for the celebrations. Cappuccino was the other choice for the hot chocolate drinker but this arrived with the milk obviously curdled so this was returned (and replaced). An order for tea was unsuccessful unless we wanted it black so they had obviously run out of milk. We went to place our food order only to be told there was an hour wait due to it being Half Marathon day. This was really disappointing as at that point no one in the half empty pub was eating any food so we ended up with crisps each. We won’t be rushing back.

Highly recommend the chicken katsu burger which was devine. Great pub with great food and wonderful staff. Lovely garden at the back too to have good there when the weather's good and can watch live sports too.

Amazing night with my friends. We weren’t sure what we fancied but after having a chat with the girl who was serving us, Cody, we decided on the 3 small plates offer. We had Squid, hummus and flat bread and karaage chicken which were amazing. Such great service from Cody and Isobel. Lovely night with great drinks and great company. Will definitely be back again soon!!

I went to the Duke of Cambridge with a couple of my friends for drinks and food. The food we ordered came very quick and was really nice! The customer service was amazing, We were being served by 2 very polite ladies Monika and Isobel. 5 stars from me, would definitely return.

I went to The Duke of Cambridge last Friday for drinks and food. Bill behind the bar was very friendly and a stunner. I would greatly reccomend coming to The Duke for drinks or food!

The food is bad. The chicken wings were very dry and they got my order wrong. They also did not start making the food half an hour after I ordered.

Always pop in here when I’m in the area and it’s such a beautiful pub. The ambiance is great and all the bar staff are lovely. Most recent visit I was served by a lovely girl named Cody who was incredibly friendly and made mine and friends visits to the area worth while! Will be back in the very near future, would definitely recommend!

Good pub for an evening dinner, owned by greene King so you will see the menu that we're beginning to get accustomed to. I had the chicken burger and it was really nice and my friend had the chicken wings which he couldn't handle the heat. Great for watching football with a nice outside area, a good quality pub. It does seem the attract more of the older locals than bringing in any new customers though.

Exactly what you'd expect, low cost food and drink pleasant but untidy beer garden, steak and cheese toasted baguette was rough. Couldn't eat the steak it was like rubber, my friends thought the chicken sharer was ok though. Good for a quick pint, there's much better food quality near by though.

What a lovely pub. Just popped in for a quick drink and was greeted by who i believe was the manager. She was lovely, very welcoming and accomodating. The Team very friendly and served me with a cracking pint. Will return 100%, highly recommend. 👍

The good. Food was great allergy warning also for dairy and gluten etc. No scraps for the dog but a water bowl around back and free carrots. Bad but not really. Water stained glasses and forks knifes, smeared menu, wicker basket for condements was Sharpe, salt and pepper sachets made no sense and were hard to reach in the basket also. Puke or veggie in the men's toilet sink. On a whole freindly trained staff with decent out door heater's and music levels at normal for once. Trivially stuff I'm sure but if your paying the extra £2 or 3 extra for a burger,it has to deliver in some other level.

Burger was quite nice, gave my dog some carrots and a water bowl for my dog. Cups/ glasses could be cleaned properly. Finger prints all over the glasses, very smeared too. Staff was very friendly. The counter where u pay was covered with liquid was not clean at all. Would like to see them bring their buritto's back loved them that was my favourite food here. Food 3/5 Everything else 2/5

I give them 1 star because I can't give them 0. We made a dinner reservation for Christmas, there were 12 of us. We were emailing for a whole week and it was very chaotic. The reservation was around 8pm. Dinner day came and we ordered some drinks and then we started tdeciding what to order. Someone could order food through the mobile app, and suddenly no one else could - the kitchen closed at 9. NOBODY warned us about this, I could understand it if they were busy but the restaurant was EMPTY. We went to talk to the manager/the person in charge and she just repeated: the kitchen closes at 9. I wanted to let her know my frustration for not even giving a warning (the restaurant was EMPTY). I told her that the problem was NOT the closing of the kitchen, the problem was 0 customer service, the lack of empathy and respect of not even looking me in the eye while giving me an "explanation". We found ourselves on a Friday with our supposed Christmas dinner WITHOUT DINNER, and without apologies, on the contrary, the person was as rude as she could. I can't just understand why they take the booking, put drinks to us and then assume that we didn't want to order food. It's the most ironic situation in years. Definitely we are not coming back. Also I will let all my friends know.

Great sandwiches, the hunters chicken toasted one was amazing, good selection of sides and a vast range of drinks, I sat here for a while working alone and the team were very attentive. Will certainly come back here, thanks :)
