Visiting my mate in Leicester and dropped into Duffy's Bar . Excellent Guinness and atmosphere.

Visited (1st time) on impulse for a couple of pints of Guinness which were of course poured properly. The rugby was on and it was busy and full of very friendly people as were the staff. I will return !

Great friendly little venue for Weirdos comedy weekend & a trad session in the front room. Dog-friendly.

Pleasant afternoon watching the Six Nations, Reasonably priced drinks as well as some bar snacks, especially the Cheese cob!

Went in there for a comedy festival. Run down old pub. Could do with some renovation. OK, if you are looking for a quiet place to down a pint.

Fantastic little bar in the centre of Leicester. Great beers and friendly staff, but better still...its also a venue! Saw a couple of excellent bands, met up with friends and had a whale of a time.

Went to watch Headsticks, had a great time. Guinness was well good, friendly staff and good smoking area.

Great old school pub that still had reasonable prices too

Awesome place to hide out and grab a drink. Anything with a UV lamp that makes your drink glow gets a thumbs up in my book....

Amazing, happened to turn up on the monthly Irish crowd participation thing and it was just amazing, the atmosphere seemed to be true ti it's Irish roots.

One of the best pubs and music venues in Leicester. They have a wide variety of bands including rock, metal, hardcore, sludge and the crowd are always brilliant. One of the best sound engineers works there too.

Dropped in a clock as a gift,not a place for a quiet pint in the daytime. Runs like a nightclub in the daytime with music blaring all day and customers dancing around the place.

Great gigs. Awful customers. Glass in the gig area. Black eyes for no reason. Would benefit from crowd control. Left with black eyes and didn't see the band we went for.

Lovely little Irish bar in the heart of Leicester.This pub is friendly with a great atmosphere and live music.We went to see our friends band play and also the night before for a drink.The guiness is great,obviously.A nice little outdoor space if you want it.The room at the back where the bands play has its own bar too.Great space and nice to find a pub with such a nice vibe and a bit more alternative.

Friendly bar with rear room for gigs .Pleased I wasn't served with a plastic glass before going in to see Nirvana tribute band called NirVardy who were excellent and hail from Leicester.

Decent small venue in the city centre opposite the court! Great pint of Guinness but that is to be expected given the place name. The gig room is compact and dark and caters for the punk & Metal community. Many gigs are free or donate what you can. Close parking is a struggle especially at the weekend. I recommend parking on Bosworth Street and walking in (10-12 minutes) Sound is decent but it is a little gloomy and could do with a bit more light on stage. Worth a visit.

Ace place to see bands. Especially if you like a more intimate venue. It has a rickety rock Irish theme. Imagine a gig at Paddy's in Always Sunny. Definitely check it out! The service is absolutely excellent. I was served by a dark haired lady yesterday and she was very kind and accommodating.

Best guiness in town by a country mile.

Jolly good, good staff with a good attitude, good drinks and a wide array of drinks. They have Irish pub snacks which adds to the atmosphere

Travelled over for a gig. Got stuck in the ladies loo, twice. One cubicle was blocked and the other had a sticky lock. The second time I cut my finger opening the lock. I alerted the staff who were fantastic, providing me with a plaster and a pint for the trouble. The toilets in general smelled so badly of cannabis which I think was being used in the smoking area. Great staff, shame about the toilets.

A really excellent pub off the beaten track featuring a poorly lit yet cheerful atmosphere that does evoke an Irish pub. Come for the live shows by local bands and comedians in the back. Duffy's is one of Leicester's most-used venues. Great staff and decent range of beers

A good place to chill out. The bar seems to be of Irish and has this rock/metal vibe. I went to watch a friend's show in the backroom and the space is small and cosy. I liked it!

What a real down to life place for Irish people and music 🎶

A surprisingly good venue for the Leicester Comedy Festival, but otherwise it's a grungy, alternative rock bar with dim lighting. I love the "lived in" look and the vinyl stickers everywhere - except for on the actual toilets themselves. I fail to see how a vinyl sticker could survive a good bleaching, which makes me think the toilets have never been bleached. But other than that, it's great.

Came here to see some comedians as part of the comedy festival. Such a lovely cosy place, really welcoming and friendly staff and a great vibe and decent sized space for gigs.

Fantastic little pub with a rich history. Staff are friendly, the 100-capacity venue along with the low stage give performances a really intimate feel. Great place to meet new people during gigs.

An amazing Independent Irish bar which is so much more than a pub. It is a community hub where people come together and make lifelong friends. Fab range of live music, great prices beer and by far the best Guinness in town ☘️🇮🇪 Slainte!

Out in Leicester with friends Duffys is a decent bar with friendly vibe. All credit to Jade who is fantastic manager, serving customers with great humour and really looking out for the staff. We'll be back.

What a great drinkery! Central location, friendly staff, a really warm and authentic atmosphere, lovely beer and some really great bands playing in a well-equipped live gig room with its own bar. No beer garden as such, but there is a little smoking yard contained internally within the walls of the building, something like a quad in amongst school or office buildings, which is a cool feature; but it's really the building itself, the decor, the staff, the attendees and the bands that play that make this place what it is. The Duffy's Bar Orchestra are the resident band, playing a soulful selection of charming folky tunes. Having been here, it will probably now remain first choice for a quick pint or even a few beverages accompanied by music and banter. Especially in a town where lots of modern bars come and go, this traditional pub is to be cherished for the true gem that it is. Highly recommended!

Shalom! Popped in for an after work refreshment with some work colleagues, ended up staying for the night! Fantastic atmosphere in the pub that is generated by Jackie and the staff whom genuinely want you to enjoy yourself whilst with them. It's an old school irish bar where you walk in a stranger and leave with some new friends.

Small but fairly lively pub, very reasonably priced and unpretentious without being dingy. Bar staff are very nice. Often open until 2am.
