Druid's Head in Brighton and Hove

Food on menu reads as your clissic pub grub - but was executed fantasticly! The nachos & chicken Kyiv was just as good as the less conventional Duck Hash.

Absolutely lovely staff and always helpful.

I'm not from Brighton or England. I have little reference for an English pub. But I really liked this place and my evening. I was well received, my chicken burger was excellent (but the portion of fries - very standard - and onion rings were small). Excellent singer and good atmosphere!

Great night out with live music and not too loud, good choice of beers.

Comically awful. Apparently a haunted pub. Well I can tell you, I am haunted after my visit. I finished my main before my friend got their starter. My friend ordered starter main dessert and the dessert came first. I had squid and they brought a lemon out after I had finished the squid, which was cold. My medium steak was rare. I ordered a mojito and then gave me tequila and soda. The halloumi was decent though. It’s been 25 minutes and I’m writing this whilst waiting for a friends starter to come. Update: it’s been 33 minutes and still haven’t been asked how my meal was or been offered condiments. Now we have 8 minutes to eat 4 courses before they kick us off for the next reservation.

What a lovely quaint pub. We just went in for a drink. But then stayed for lunch. Food was very tasty and Service was good.

Late afternoon drink to get out of the rain . Small but wasn't busy so wasn't an issue. Didnt eat , but what other people where eating looked good .Friendly staff .

Lovely meet up with friends we haven’t seen for a year. We had reserved a table for 7 and it was cleaned and reserved for us in good time, despite the pub being busy. I ordered chicken Kiev and it was clearly made from scratch. Delicious and well presented. We had loaded nachos to start- we shared two between 6 and that was plenty. One person ordered salt and pepper squid and raved about it. Other things we enjoyed were fish and chips and burgers - all highly recommended

Popped in for a Sunday roast today and it was amazing! Brilliant, attentive staff and a lovely location in Brighton. Definitely will return!

It would have been nice if the steak pie would have had steak in it! It also would have been good if the steak sandwich had steak in it! The sirloin steak looked boiled and the steak in Aldi are bigger and taster!….

Had dinner here tonight The chicken Kiev was not kievit was just breaded chicken no garlic butter inside and the pue and mash was terrible pie rock hard and it was just a pitiful effort The chef needs getting rid if ifctgats his best effort Stay clear Plus side they dud re fund Shame it's a nice atmosphere nice pub

Very pleasant pub in a historic building with delicious and nicely presented pub food. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed.

A proper pub! We now live in Spain and it was a real treat to spend time in this fabulous pub. The staff are lovely. Great atmosphere and delish food.

Popped in after a weird experience as another pub nearby. Knew we would be greeted by friendly bar team who would be able to recommend fresh lagers and give us some banter. Ordered some nachos and my partner had a ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection!

Visited before our ghost walk last night. Was very busy as we walked in, the bar area was rammed but as we got further into the pub the tables were a little quieter and had a nice atmosphere. We booked a table for 6 pm and arrived a little early, there were a couple people enjoying drinks on our table. The bar staff offered us another few tables instead, im Autistic and find busy places difficult to be in sometimes, we explained we would rather our reserved table as it was in the corner and felt more comfortable. The bar staff were more than happy to ask the people on our table to move when it came to 6 pm, I don’t always feel accommodated as someone with autism that “passes” as neurotypical so was very happy that the staff were more than happy to help. My Mac and cheese was really nice. Mum ordered a cheese board, for the price there was a tone of cheese!! Would definitely recommend! Thank you :)

Stopped by for a festive pint. Nice atmosphere with a good selection of ales. Didn't dine myself but food did look good.

Lovely Christmassy atmosphere and had my first mulled wine of the season. It was rich and fruity with a big cinnamon stick - warmed me up after very cold shopping day x

Great spot for a pint in Brighton Beach in the Lanes area. I recommend this pub it has a lot of great beers on tap. Great service very friendly with great knowledge of their beers.

The food I ate there was really nice, I'd totally recommend it, if you're ever in Brighton, check it out.

Splendid little pub! The yam yam lass behind the bar was super helpful and friendly. Will certainly be returning, especially to try to yummy food I saw being served. The level head session ipa was recommended to me and I would highly recommend.

Lovely and cosy pub that has fascinating history. Friendly and helpful staff who are happy to tell you about the ghosts that are there. Well worth a visit and we will certainly be back again. Highly recommend.The only down side is the bathrooms could do with a revamp but overall a great pub.

We used the beach hut at the back for a family birthday lunch. Emily and the team really looked after us, chatted and checked in on us at just the right times. Food came out hot and was really tasty. Thank you

Booked in for Christmas day a while ago. Proper booking done via their booking system, got booking confirmation etc. Then they emailed me today saying they are filled and booked up now and they are cancelling my "enquiry". I didn't enquire, I booked early in advance well before they was full. And now I'm left high and dry when everywhere else is booked up. If you have to send a follow system email that cancels my official booking, it wasn't an enquiry. Will never return here again

Lovely pub with live music. They have an interesting ice tea called Charitea with ginger and honey for the non-alcoholic beverage.

Lovely old pub with alot of history. Young staff are all very friendly. I didnt eat but food I did see looked very good. Shame they don't open for breakfast anymore.

A lovely setting no doubt- but a disappointing for the member of our party who is gluten free. We had emailed before booking about availability for a gluten free menu and was emailed a lovely menu. When we arrived on Sunday, the only options were Steak and salad, meatless burger no bun, chicken salad. Appreciate because of QC all meals have to be the same across the chain, but only 2 of the options of the GF menu were available. It’s not hard to be gluten free, but particularly disappointing when we had emailed well in advance and nothing substantial available. The staff did eventually realise the issue and at our request managed to get some potatoes sent over from another branch to bake. A suggestion would be that jacket potatoes are an option instead of roast and chips as these can easily be GF. Staff were attentive and the rest of us had a lovely meal and great ambience in the pub. Good range of drinks and quirky interior made it a lovely venue.

Lovely pub, both the exterior and interior are really interesting, also has a bit of history, or myth maybe, it is supposedly the most haunted pub in Brighton. There was an excellent atmosphere, a nice buzz without being overwhelming loud and crowded. Decent food, traditional pub fare, reasonably priced. What sets it apart though is the excellent service. They couldn't do enough for us after what was a really minor mix up with a cabbage side dish not being available. It was a trivial issue that we would not even have noticed if they hadn't told us. Anyway, they were lovely.

Walking out on a very warm Saturday afternoon round the lanes, decided to pop in for a beer and a snack, the place was rammed! The atmosphere felt great, and a wide age range were all out enjoying themselves, but I was a bit stuck for somewhere to sit, not a problem, Emily took charge and directed us to “The Beach Hut” at the rear of the pub across a well planted courtyard where there was space in a typically Brighton decorated building. Drinks were drunk and a tasty cheese was eaten. A great afternoon. The staff were all great, quick service despite the full pub and the food hot and tasty, well done to the kitchen staff for such quick service!

i came here for some lunch a couple of days ago as this pub was recomended to me by a friend. the bar staff were lovely and helped me with beer recomendations and the food was great. i had a pint of moretti and a cheese toastie. would deffo come back and bring my friends with me

It's been a while since I had last been at the Druids Head! But like last time it never disappoints, I cannot ever fault the service - every member of staff is so impressionable and funny, such good humour definitely can't be found anywhere else. As always good drinks and even better service, keep it up!

Wonderful atmosphere in this quaint oasis in the middle of Brighton’s lanes. I was meeting work colleagues from over 20 years ago and we all arrived separately. Most pubs are daunting to enter on your own for older women, but I was welcomed and relaxed immediately. The pub was busy but we were served very quickly with a lovely smile from whichever of the staff we approached. Lovely experience.

Yet another superb visit to the Druid's Head in Brighton. We had drinks and meals. Very easy to order and pay. The drinks, food and service were all excellent. We come to Brighton every year and always visit the Druid's Head as we can be sure of a great time. Sitting at a window table for drinks and food is one of our favourite places to be in Brighton.

Food choice was very limited, found it very hard to find a meal, most things had bbq sauce or chilli, I don't like either

The chain has stopped selling any local beers. Staff weren't aware of this!

Great place to get a drink, good range of beers friendly staff and taking into account it's in one of the busiest parts of Brighton reasonable prices!

When I got to the pub I asked if I would be drinking out of proper glasses as the last time I was there I had to drink out of PLASTIC cups. ☹️ The pub doesn't have a beer garden as such but it does have this shed instead where I went to have my pint which was lovely. If I am in Brighton again I am sure that I will be back

Steak wasn't cooked as asked for, but portion was decent and staff were lovely Very nice building and atmosphere was quite cozy

Went on Saturday afternoon. Stayed for about 4 hours eating and drinking with friends. Good atmosphere and staff. Food wasn’t especially great. Wouldn’t eat there again as there are so many better options nearby.

Have just spent a lovely evening in the Pub, all the bar staff were friendly and extremely efficient. The pub has a lovely atmosphere, comfortable, clean and safe environment. Would definitely return.

Omg this pub has massively improved, Emily the new manager is incredible, so nice to come into this pub and get clean glasses and a clean place to sit, will recommend to all my friends

A great Pub, Me and the wife often make our way to the lovely Druids Head on our frequent trips to Brighton down from London. Situated in the heart of the lanes it is a lovely spot to enjoy a level head especially in the heat of the summer. We have also become very familiar with the lovely bar staff, especially a delightful young man, Tamveer who always remembers our faces and gets some water out for our dog Willow. Definitely recommend this pub to all who look for a lovely crisp pint and friendly staff!

Was in Brighton for B/H weekend and came across this great little pub went there three times the last time my wife wanted mineral water as the weather was baking £4 for a 75p bottle talk about fleecing the holiday makers

Located in a central location near the Lanes. This a old caracter pub. We thought the menu was extremely limited. Nevertheless the meals we chose were nice. Average prices for a town centre. Friendly staff. There was only one cask ale available which was disappointing

Had an early family dinner here on Saturday night. The staff; atmosphere and food were perfect for a family meal. We were looked after by Courtney who was absolutely wonderful and could not have been more helpful.

Most gluten unfree food in Brighton. Staff couldn’t tell you anything, you have to download an app to find out about allergies.

We’ve been coming to this place for a long time but today was slightly disappointed. Great cheese burger but fries very limited. Also chicken and bacon sandwich found chicken and bacon cold, lifeless and not the usual standard of the druids head!!! Just not the same today, don’t know what’s changed 😥
