Lovely little coffee shop. Coffee and food were excellent, and the vibe is chilled. One negative thing, was the barista was insistent on having a shouting conversation from the counter over to a customer in the corner. Very off putting being as we were in the middle of it and couldn’t actually hear our own conversation.

Excellent coffee by people who care, and quite easily the best coffee shop in Chelmsford.

Wonderful experience at Driink celebrating their 5th birthday. Lovely coffee and caring service from their brilliant team. An absolute gem in Chelmsford, tucked away on Baddow Road. If you love Coffee, this will be your new favourite place.

Lovely coffee shop that's tucked away from a busy road. Done up nice, good coffee and chatty staff. Salt beef sandwich is good, I'll be back for the onion bhaji one next! Dog friendly too

A quite wonderful place. Cool decor, great staff, smooth coffee. Lovely yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit for breakfast. It was very busy with a constant stream of customers but there was such a lovely vibe. People came to read, to knit, to work and relax with their coffee. When I'm in town again, I will absolutely stop in and spend sample some more of the food. Driink is a real gem and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Found on IG so needed to try. Great atmosphere and very trendy. Nice open plan so you're able to see your drinks being made and food. We had a flat white and Coconut Milk hot chocolate which was gorgeous and loved my mug.

Visited for first time today as had vouchers for a free drink for helping with the Chelmsford Litter Pick event. Very friendly and welcoming coffee shop, liked the decor too. We had delicious, locally produced items. Would definitely visit again. One point though, would rather have my drink in a normal, washable cup or glass, rather than disposable, even if it is “compostable” - compostable items only compost if treated correctly, not at the bottom of a landfill site.

Friendly, knowledgeable service, with great advice about coffee and inspired, freshly made food. I love the tofu toasties!

Wonderful staff who are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to recommend a coffee drink if you’re stuck. The food menu is well polished and lovely. Absolutely adore the interior. The hot chocolate is to die for!

Have become quite a regular at driink, it is great for a quick lunch, good coffee and it’s a bonus that the team are so friendly and happy to discuss the beans they sell also!

We visited Driink Coffee Club and were very pleased by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the drinks. We both ordered the smooth hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is £3.80 each with an additional 20p for cream and marshmallows. The drinks were presented very nicely and tasted brilliant. Definitely would recommend this place.

I visited for the first time on Wednesday, I thoroughly enjoyed the homemade Grenola and the best cappacino ‘ve runk in ages. although practically in the City Centre, it’s slightly hidden, Definately worth seeking out. I’m Definately planning on visiting regularly from now on.

Wow!, what can I say, we’ve just had the best salt beef sandwich and tea when we visited today, staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome, we will definitely be back the next time we are in Chelmsford, highly recommended 👍

We are lucky to have a truly excellent coffee shop in Chelmsford. Incredible espresso, V60, Chemex coffees alongside the traditional Americano, latte and milky drinks. It's nice to be able to talk coffee with Joel, Nathan and the rest of the friendly team! Many conversations about brewing ratios and draw down times!

Perfect coffee for your needs! This cafe just have what you need for a coffee shop - great selection of coffee and relax atmosphere. We visited here for many weeks now and always with the same warm welcome, and the guest here are all very friendly which created a communal feel. Whenever we are here, we have seen so many people visited for takeaway coffee as well! The owner even offer our dog a puppachino! We love it here x especially the chai latte!

Long overdue authentic coffee place in Chelmsford. Excellent options for lunch. Beans supplied by Mac&Me (Writtle). Excellent cappuccino. Prices are on-point. I bought an £8 250 gr bag of beans roasted November 8th on on my visit, Sunday 14th November. That's fresh! Staff are really attentive and polite. Free table water. Doggo-friendly. Joel is an excellent barista. I will return.

Well-made coffee supplied by Witham-based 'Mac & Me' roasters. Perfect temperature. Oat milk for the cappuccino. Light lunch and cake offerings. £8 for the espresso bag means a free onsite coffee. Debit card payments. Super-friendly and attentive service. Table water. Long overdue coffee place. Hario equipment for sale. Papers for V60. Brewing equipment. Natural raw hot chocolate. Tea. Chelmsford has been crying out for a descent coffee place. It now has one.

Went here for the first time today and already planning to be a regular customer: the food and drink is delicious and well priced, the staff are lovely and the building itself is gorgeous and smells heavenly! Couldn't recommend enough.

Delicious coffee, friendly staff, great selection of baked goods (the raspberry Bakewell is particularly tasty) and they are also dog-friendly! Everything’s to love - we come here every time we’re in Chelmsford.

The coffee was good, definitely above average in Chelmsford. The cinnamon roll we tried was nice, maybe a bit sweeter than neeeed

Lovely little spot, within walking distance from Moulsham street and Chelmsford town centre. Visited with a friend for a coffee and a bite to eat. Not many gluten free/vegan/dairy free/refined sugar free spots in the area. They don’t have Monin syrups that are full of artificial sweetener and the bad sugars. You’ll only find the good stuff here. I think this will be the only coffee shop I visit in Chelmsford going forward. Shop and dine small! Especially in the current crisis. Guaranteed quality and atmosphere. Spotless toilet too! Hard to come by nowadays in the chain coffee shops LOL. You can bring your dog too, it doesn’t get better than that. I prefer this place over Acanteen too, my visit there, recently, was a bit pants. Worth the extra few minutes walk in my opinion. This place is as close to a London coffee shop you’ll find nearby.

This place is amazing ! Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and are clearly passionate about their craft, this really shows in their customer service. Food and coffee is spot on and there are so many options to choose from. You won't be disappointed...probably the best independent coffee shop in Chelmsford...or even Essex !

I was looking for somewhere to meet a colleague and found this place through its google reviews. I didn’t know what to expect, but found the staff very friendly and the coffee and homemade muesli was lovely. I’ll definitely go back.

Best coffee in Chelmsford. Don't bother with one of Chelmsford's 15 (or so it seems) branches of Costa and support am awesome independent business. They also have a great range of food and environmentally friendly supplies. Get on the Iced Chai 👍

I love going here whenever I get the chance. The soya latte and vegan bloomer sandwich are my staple order and they never disappoint. Definitely my favourite place for lunch in the city, and exactly what we’ve needed for a long time. Staff are always really friendly and professional too. I would love more vegan options but the two sandwiches are great and there are a few cakes. Keep up the great work.

This cafe is a hidden gem. Great coffee - I had a decaf americano - very flavourful. I also had some granary toast with butter and jam which only cost £1.95 (excl. Coffee). All in all a lovely cafe experience in a totally relaxed , clean and comfortable setting. This place caters for groups too. My cousin ordered an egg tart pastry which also tasted heavenly! Prices are cheaper than other coffee chains in Chelmsford, this coffee house is very individualistic! Staff are attentive and friendly. I will definitely visit again.

Looking for a local non chain coffee house? Then head to Driink. Serves locally roasted coffee, cakes and sandwiches. Had expresso and the carrot cake, both excellent. Coffee is totally unique from the generic Arabica you taste in most shops. Go local go Driink.

Amazing independent cafe, just out of the hustle of the city.

The coffee is always amazing, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed and the food is delicious.. but above all, the staff really make this place incredible. It can be rare to go to a coffee shop and have the staff know you by name but they all go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed.

Very friendly staff and excellent coffee - so good to have in central Chelmsford and for it to be an original independent coffee house with a stylish and warm identity. Keep up the good work guys!

I went in recently with my parents and visiting aunt and uncle. Welcoming, friendly staff; delicious vegan sandwich; great selection of vegan cakes which are very clearly marked. Really great coffee and I love the decor. Will definitely be back!

Driink is hidden away on Baddow Road but is an absolute treat when you find it! The coffee is delicious and there is a range of options for cake and savoury snacks too, which always look amazing. It’s got a really chilled out vibe, lovely to have an independent cafe in chain-dominated Chelmsford!

They use a local roaster and make a really good espresso. Their short black, which is really difficult to do well, was just the right amount, ideal temperature and had a lovely rich taste. Recommended if the quality of the coffee is important to you. Friendly and welcoming, too.

Amazing gofee! Worth a detour from the town centre. The decor is awesome too and very spacious so a lot of room for buggies.

This is a lovely cafe. It's bigger than it looks. And because it's off the beaten path, I guess it doesn't get too busy. So it has a nice atmosphere - nice decor, music not too loud. The food was delicious, with lots of interesting options and fresh ingredients. Even my side salad was good, with a tasty dressing. It took a little while to arrive, but that's because they made it up fresh for us. Lots of drink options too! The food was reasonably priced, but the drinks seemed pricey for the size. Service was friendly and helpful. I'll have to go back to try their amazing looking cakes! It closes early at 3pm though, so no post-work treats.

This coffee shop has a lovely atmosphere. I have been in with my family several times now and have each time been blown away at how great the coffee and food is. This place serves proper coffee. Yay!! And the hot chocolate is such a perfect treat with toasted marshmallows on the side for my daughters. It’s simply lovely.

Hidden away on Baddow Road, this is a fine coffee shop serving decent cakes and grand sandwiches. Friendly, attentive staff in a pleasingly plastic-free independent cafe. Two good coffees, a panini (enough for two), and a nice cake (again, enough for two): £14.Lovely place. Do give it a go.
