Driftwood Cafe in Wirral

Lovely food, all fresh and hot. We also ordered afternoon teas to take away. All good quality. Staff friendly and helpful. Just note that they don't read emails (even though listed on their website) so you need to ring to reserve a table.

We visited New Brighton and strolled along the seafront. We found this gem of a cafe up a side street. Lovely friendly staff and a variety of meals and specials on the menu. Unfortunately, we had had a late large hotel breakfast, so only wanted a drink and a snack. The meals coming out of the kitchen looked plentiful and delicious and clearly this cafe is well known to local clientele. Enjoyed flicking through some of the books on the Wirral and how New Brighton was in the past! Will certainly, remember this cafe again when visiting New Brighton.

Good tea good coffee and very yummy sandwiches served with salad etc. I can honestly say it was all very good. I wasnt keen on the table cloths / oil cloths tho. Felt incomfortable but that maybe the trademark of the place? all really good

My daughter and I came across this gem of a place last Saturday, we had travelled from Wales to New Brighton to see a show in the theatre. The staff are so so friendly and the food just amazing. I’ve promised that I will return again very soon.

As well as excellent, freshly made, delicious food, a huge pot of tea, the staff are so friendly, (today - Amanda, Sandra & Jenny) and they want to make this a most enjoyable experience in every way. Afternoon tea was lovely. All home made cakes, home made egg mayo, thick ham and fresh bread. Best scones ever had.

We stopped in for breakfast and had a great experience. We’re from the US and the staff was so friendly and gracious, telling us stories and recommending places to see while we were in the area. Oh yeah, the Eggy Bread was tasty, too. Highly recommended!

Fantastic gluten free quiche so delicious! All good homemade , staff lovely and a great location for a bike ride or walk. On previous visits I had a fabulous gf afternoon tea.

This is truly a little gem in New Brighton. It was really busy when we arrived and we managed to get the last table outside. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and friendly and I cannot fault a single thing. The lovely waitress even offered to find us a table inside once it had quietened down but it was nice outside. I would 100% recommend this cafe and we will definitely be back. Fabulous

Me and my wife visited New Brighton last weekend. I had seen the cafe on Tripadvisor and can highly recommend a visit. They have a Full gluten free menu and we’re happy to have our idiot dog with us. The staff were brilliant and friendly. We were lucky to get a table as it was busy and some tables were reserved so if you planing on going down I would ring ahead.

Family breakfast 6 adults 2 are vegetarian great choice, excellent quality of food excellent service had to wait awhile but so worth it everything cooked fresh and hot and all served together definitely recommend and got back
