Dragon Wok in Bath and North East Somerset

My family and I have ordered from this takeaway since I was a child. Other Chinese takeaways just aren't the same, I definitely recommend this place. Service is great. Calls to order are quick and simple. (Update: they appear to be getting busier so wait times may be a little longer and it may be harder to get them on the phone. They don't listen to voicemails). They only take cash so they don't take payments over the phone. The wide menu is amazing, set meal orders come with free prawn crackers too. The portions are quite large, no complaints here. My family normally orders the C2 meal set, highly recommend it. Big fan of the sweet and sour pork.

Food is always amazing but stopped going there last year because they always said a 20min wait and then you still waited ages when you got there! Tried again tonight and they said an hour wait, I thought ‘great they’ve finally sorted out their ordering system, no such luck-still waited 45mins in there, if you say an hour have it ready in an hour! 1 hour 45mins is shocking, will be going elsewhere again!

Absolutely beautiful food 😍 Only downfall is the wait.

Everything on the menu is sensational! Slowly working my way through every dish and am blown away each time by how good the food is. To top it all off the prices are excellent for the quality and quantity given. No other takeaways come close to the value for money! Cash only payments, but there's a free ATM at the Shell garage directly opposite.

Was ignoring taking my order, very rude. Had to walk out and find a different place to order from.

This is our favourite local Chinese. Food is amazing and they always get it right. Only thing that I would like to see change is to be able to get it delivered, but that is just us being lazy!

Had a really decent takeaway from here recently, first time we've tried it and we will be back for more. Food was delicious, not too greasy like some Chinese can be and great value for money.

When you need delicious comfort food they come up trumps and when you want fabulous chinese feast they can't be beaten. Best in the area in my book.

Food always good and good prices

I'd give it 5 if it was just based on the food. The drawbacks are no delivery, cash only and the server/ receptionist isn't customer friendly. However, overcome these drawbacks because the food is consistently fantastic!

Our favourite Chinese! We have never had a bad meal. Crispy beef amazing chicken curry amazing Crispy seaweed amazing! Satay chicken starter & main amazing. Highly recommended!

Looking forward to trying this as it’s just down the road and reviews looked good.i ordered the special curry and it is one of the worst curry’s I have ever eaten from a Chinese.Gloopy sauce and no flavour and as for the chips I had half of the bag were overdone.So will not be returning to this one in a hurry.

Decent food and cheaper than others in the area.

First time there....wings tasted old and chewy...prawn toast overcooked....about to try the main =/ Plus note ....you get free prawn crackers... Prices good...and the staff member was okay

Stunning food, reasonable prices and when you see the size of the que, you realise why once you taste the food. Be sure to call ahead with your order to minimise waiting times. Cash only but cash machine over the road. We can’t wait to go back to this place! Amazing

Really lovely food and we are preferring to travel that little bit further for it. Flavours are superb. The young lady at the front of the takeaway is worked so hard by clients both in the building and on the phone- well done to her for her efficiency.

On an off day here the food is very good. When they're having a good day you'll struggle to find better anywhere. They are not particularly good at timing (twenty minutes can range from 15 to nearly an hour if you catch it wrong), but it's always worth the wait.

Always good food, orders taken quickly. If ordering by phone +30 mins onto the time they give you!!!!

Great takeaway. We phoned our order ahead and it was ready when we got there. The style of food was different from what we normally have. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be visiting them again soon hopefully

Nice food and good friendly service

Food is great, however there is such a wait for it.

Bit of a moan. I use this takeaway fairly regularly. I like the food a lot. I phone ahead and place my order then go and pick it up. But...on more than one occasion now (including tonight) I have been told my food will be ready in 25 minutes. I arrive 25 minutes later and am stood around for ANOTHER 25 minutes in the shop waiting. What's more my money is taken (usually without a 'please') before my food arrives so I am then obliged to stay and wait. I don't mind if the food is going to be 40 minutes but just tell me.....rant over.

We have had several dishes from here. Food is always hot fresh and cooked well. It's probably the nearest one to us with out travelling out we are within Radstock. My daughter likes the fact if you spend enough they put a fortune cookie in. It's always busy so that speaks for its self. Bring cash they dont do card but machine over the road if needed. The only thing I would say is pancake rolls I would like bigger and filled with more stuff but I am finding not many put anything in apart from beansprouts

This is our local Chinese takeaway and we LOVE IT. Quality food at a really decent price! Always really friendly and consistent with the standard of food. Love the free prawn crackers with every order. Can’t knock them at all.

Whenever we order Chinese takeaway it's always from here. It's definitely the best Chinese in the area! They always deliver great tasting food of a high quality standard, and good customer service. They are also very happy to accommodate to any changes we have to their dishes e.g. no bean sprouts. Overall, I can't fault them! The only thing I think they could consider is setting up a delivery service.

Best Chinese in the area by a mile. Have tried others but no ones chow mein come’s close to there’s at dragon wok. The only bad thing is it is very popular at weekends so be prepared to wait a while for it to be ready but apart from that can’t fault it

Food is decent, prices are competitive, but sometimes the wait for food is ridiculously long. Many times you are told when its ready, and when you goto collect, its still a further 20 minute wait. Dragon Wok really need to get with the times and offer a delivery service, everyone else does.

Food great misses 1 star as staff seemed a little rude and not welcoming it does influence on me going again

We thoroughly enjoyed a fabulous Chinese bought by our son as a treat, it is local but we always prefer lido chef... Really tasty chilli beef and love the chowmain dishes.

Mi familia es exigente con bolas de pollo y desde aquí son estupendas. Mi favorito personal es el hongo chop suey" al platillo o el rey gambas en salsa de maní. Servicio de atención al cliente y a veces nos precioso conseguir galletas fortuna que mi hija le encanta. Único malo es que no hay máquina de tarjeta.

Very convenient roadside location - stopped at the fuel station opposite and spotted it - great Chow Mein and good value, very fast service and a generous portion for the price.

Prices are good and you get free prawn crackers and a fortune cookie with your order. It was enjoyable enough but a bit on the greasy side and a little bit artificial tasting.

By far the best chinese take away around the area.. A lot of past criticism but these guys really do deliver the best and most authentic food, fantastic, full of flavour and really kind and considerate service.After trying all of the other chinese restaurants around, we can honestly say these guys are by far the best!The only downsides are the cash only policy and lack of delivery..

Looking for a good Chinese takeaway, we were persuaded to try Dragon Wok due to some good online reviews.I arrived about 8pm on a Saturday and it was PACKED (which I took to be a good sign!). Obviously t took a while to come but was well worth the wait. Food was lovely and plenty of it. Safe to say we've found a good place and we'll be ordering there again. Just make sure to phone ahead unlike me!!

You shouldn't expect a Chinese takeaway in the UK to serve authentic Cantonese food. The dishes are all demand driven for the UK market so if it doesn't sell it isn't on the menu. The menu at the Dragon Wok is well presented and reasonably priced. Service is quick and friendly and it's got a four star cleanliness rating from council inspectors.I've always found the food excellent and freshly cooked. Try the Dragon Wok special!

Firstly everyone loves their local Chinese takeaway, and yes, this was my local growing up in Westfield. However, having moved from the immediate vicinity 15 years ago I still travel back here when we want Chinese.The food is always good! The sweet and sour is not too sweet (as we have found to be the case at other takeaways) and the Spare Ribs in Peeking Sauce and Salt and Pepper Chicken are both amazing! It is also great to find the truly excellent Crispy Aromatic Lamb pancakes on the menu which is always a favorite of ours. Despite what other reviews have mentioned, I can certainly say that the food definitely is not greasy in any way. In fact one of the main reasons we continue to return to Dragon Wok is specifically because it is not greasy like a lot of other takeaways. The food is always hot and plentiful and the staff extremely friendly.

Not great food at all the chips tasted like wood and the egg fried rice was dried up such an awful time never been back since...Very greasy .
