Great food at good price, shame its cash only.

Well well, first time we've ordered from Dragon Boat, and what a nice surprise! The food was fresh and perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious, the best Chinese takeaway we've had in a decade. We've tried many Chinese takeaways in Swansea, and Dragon Boat stands out as easily the best. We will definitely use them from now on.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. The food was excellent and the service was the the same. I thoroughly recommend it and will be definitely going again.

Took a gamble when trying this place whilst on holiday in the mumbles. Chinese take aways can often be hit and miss. No worries here though, the food was lovely, we where very pleased to have made the right choice. Would certainly recommend. I had the Chicken with cashew nuts. Very nice.

Having read other reviews thought we would give it ago, don’t bother. Both sweet & Sour and chicken satay sauce were thin and watery, not value for money.

The food is absolutely terrible, how they can call them a Chinese takeaway is beyond me.I had Prawn Semase Toadt,burnt,Cantonese Chicken dry,with plumb sauce on the side,my estimates, as a Chef,less than 15 grams of Chicken !.Terrible!......if we don't all 'STEP UP' to these awful, awful,takeaways,God help us.....I shall never use this ' RIP OFF' ever again.SHOCKING !

Favourite chinese take away in Swansea. Tasty and reasonably priced.

Enjoyable meal. The quality of the food was very good. We had chicken satay skewers, seaweed, salt and chilli king prawn and king Po chicken. The prawns were especially tasty although it would of be nice to have a bit of veg in there like peppers and onions. Would recommend.

Ordered a New Year's Eve take away amazing as always Would highly recommend.

Great Chinese and they deliver on time

Came here on holiday as we always do to the mumbles. We haven’t tried here before but it was walking distance from our air b n b. So surprised, this was excellent! We had prawn curry, salt and pepper chicken, crispy duck etc. all superb food, really nicely cooked, flavoursome and tasty! Will be coming back here every year for our holidays!

I go there every Saturday. Tonight - the 'muppet' who took the order said it would be 45 mins for a takeaway. I knew this was wrong. I only live a few doors away. I went there bang on time. The food was cold. When I rang said 'muppet'' he said "he would let them know". No apology or new food. Won't use them ever again.

Very uninspiring, spring rolls and prawn toasts were dire! We won't be going here again any time soon.

Best Singapore vermicelli l've ever had even beats Hong Kong, fresh spices and freshly cooked absolutely perfect. Well worth the wait.

A nice take away and not overloaded with MSG unlike many. Good range of traditional dishes but nothing really bold or exciting

What a shame The Dragon Boat in Mumbles had served excellent cuisine since the new management took over some time back. We previously always enjoyed there food but have to sadly say they have dropped their standards of late.It is not a question of a one off meal being under par but the last few times we have ordered from them.The last offering was VERY disappointing the rice that we always have was complete mush like tapioca & unusually had lots of red pieces of rice in it rather like a Tandoori dish.This being a dish we order regularly from them we found off this putting & suspicious.We had to dispose of it as it was not pleasant at all. Have they employed a different chef?I would not be leaving a poor review if it was a one off but it now appears they find their standard drop acceptable. I feel it important for them to be aware that as regular customers it is being noticed and to give them the option to return to their former excellent standards.Also they now only open on four evenings and you have to make sure you order very early in there opening window to ensure they will have the dish you require or a driver to deliver. I don’t think they even bother to employ a delivery driver for the couple of hours they open on a Sunday(they close at 9pm for god’s sake) So fingers crossed that they may improve & return to previous standards.

Absolutely delicious take away, everything was so fresh and tasty and generous portions too. We had the mushroom fried rice and there were so many large mushrooms in it-really tasty. Would highly recommend and I’d definitely go back!

Whilst staying in a holiday cottage on The Mumbles we decided to have a take away one night rather than eat out. Pretty much one of the BEST chinese take away meals we have ever had as a family. Do you deliver to Hampshire? Totally recommend and will use again on our return 😍

Went for the first time and was happy with the food, was very busy with phone orders when we showed up so waited 30 mins for our food. Crispy beef very nice, clearly a popular place

Decided to give it a go the other week as we have never had it before! Usually a regular at Newton packed meals which has been closed since covid we wanted to try elsewhere! We didn’t enjoy it at all, the only nice thing we enjoyed was the crispy beef! Wouldn’t go there again

Don't have a lot of takeaways, but when we do we always choose Dragon Boat and we are never disappointed. I had Kung Po Chicken which was delicious and my partner thoroughly enjoyed her ribs and noodles.

We collected a take-away a few days ago. We have had some lovely meals from here, but the last one was awful, and this one was VILE. It was binned. The lemon chicken was thick and lumpy, and the lump of FAT that was supposed to be duck in a watery black bean sauce looked horrible. Given this place a few chances but am sorry to say the food has gone downhill and we will NEVER have another meal from there!!!

Lovely take away food delivered within the timeframe given slight error on the order however a quick phone call later they had it all addressed and redelivered with some free extras left us feeling. Overall good food service.

Currently on holiday staying in a guest house and have been finding it difficult to find somewhere comfortable , warm and dry to eat due to the current COVID 19 restraints on restaurants ( we got soaked eating our fish supper outside last night) .So we fell upon the dragon boat, so glad we did. We ordered by telephone and it was ready 15 mins later for us to collect. The food was delicious, hot and very fresh tasting - not at all greasy. Would definitely recommend

Usual Chinese take away in mumbles closed so decided to use this one. Menu online. Bit on the pricey side but meal was excellent, especially the salt & pepper ribs. Delivery was prompt and the delivery person very polite. Despite price will be using again

This is the best Chinese food we have ever eaten!!!! We travel often from Carmarthen because it is so consistently yummy. The portions are generous, the meat is tender and good quality. The cook is always very friendly and everywhere looks really clean. Well done dragon boat please keep up the good work👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We ordered a take-away from The Dragon Boat after 10pmm but no problem with that, the delivery driver was very polite. The portions were large and piping hot - this is definately the best in this area, looking forward to the next one!

We ordered a delivery while on holiday in Langland Bay. Fair price, quick delivery and the food was hot and delicious. Everyone pleased.

This place is located near the centre of town and also near to the sea front. I would recommend this place to others. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.

Just had a vermicelli Singapore style and was absolutely fantastic 3rd June 19 A subtle mixture of beef ,chicken and prawns with a lovely warmth of chilli Not busy and served within 10 minutes of a phone call Can’t fault it ,thank you so much

Very generous portions of delicious food; we had four main dishes and four sides. All were excellent, and the crispy beef was particularly outstanding - crunchy and flavoursome.

Arrived at take away, ordered food, run out of prawn crackers!!!!!!, waited 55 minutes, sat freezing in take away, arrived home, food cold, If I could I would give zero stars. Never ordering again. I just want my 55 minutes back.

I decided to try this take away having seen it slide downhill over the last year or so.Again the food seemed less than fresh and bitterly disappointing.I had the Fried Vermicelli Singapore style and regretted it the next day with various visits to the little boy's room.

Worst Chinese ever ! Waited 45 mn for take away and absolutely nothing was edible!

Will never go back, waited 1hr 10 mins for food then they come out and ask how I would like my chicken cooked , so clearly they ain't started my order. There were 6 other costumers that were being fobbed of with times they even took the phone of the hook for 45 mins we were waiting there.

i called in this restaurant as others were closed,and i had the most fabulous meal ever...it was boiling hot and very very tasty...service was excellent ,,the price very reasonable,,yes i have waited around 15 minutes but well worth the wait,,and now i wont go anywhere else..i travel 12 miles to get there but so well worth it.............

Paid a visit to the Dragon Boat by chance whilst visiting Mumbles, we only noticed the FSA rating after we ordered our meal (normally I wouldn't consider a food estabishment only rated one but it was too late) after ordering a set meal for two with great difficulty as the guy serving could hardly speak English and if that wasn't bad enough he couldn't leave his mobile phone alone! We then waited for our takeaway meal.

What an outstanding meal I had the on Saturday night I had beef in black beans sauce, Egg Fried Rice and my husband had Special Curry, Boiled Rice and the taste and flavour was brilliant,Well worth a visit and will definitely be going there again.

The food never seems fresh.Due to it's close proximity to us we relent occasionally and think we'll give it another chance-always to be bitterly disappointed! It really is consistently bad-which is normally accompanied by dodgy tummies!The service is appalling too.There really are no redeeming features !It is amazing that they are still in business! Avoid!

As it says in the title, the food is decent enough but, at times, the service is appaling. At times I have waited along with other disgruntled customers for up to an hour. Not acceptable. Fast Food......I think not!!

Popped in on way back from work not really knowing what to expect - I was hungry and wanted a Chinese.I wasn't too impressed to be honest. The food was ok but not particularly nice. I had the crispy chilli beef which I thought tasted rather burnt. The prawn crackers tasted stale - like they had been sitting around for a while on the side.Overall I would not recommend ordering from this Chinese restaurant.

Its clear that they cannot make the food fast enough. There were quiet and still we were stood waiting for over 45 mins. The person on the front desk didn't understand the most basic questions.The food wasn't horrible, but wasn't good either.I don't think you have a lot of choice in the mumbles for Chinese Food so I guess they feel they don't need to make an effort.Oh and I noticed on the way out that it only had 3 Stars on its food hygiene!!! Personally I would avoid this place.
