Just got 3 x allegedly cod and chips. Chips are not chip shop and it is definitely not cod. Have they changed hands? Definitely won't be back

Good chips. Great curry sauce. The fish was rather greasy and a very funny taste to it. The service however was quick and card payments accepted.

Have had fish, chips and battered sausages on 3 separate occasions recently and all 3 times have been incredible. The size of the fish has been huge and its all been cooked really good. Highly recommend

Bought multiple items of the menu this evening, not impressed chips tasted really bad, fish was soggy with a really strange taste. Other items followed the same pattern. Was once a very good fish and chips over the last few years has been going steadily down hill. Will be going elsewhere in the future.

Ordered a large Battered Sausage & Chips!! Beyond disgusting! The chips tasted of fish, ate about 10 and had to throw the rest away! Battered sausage wasn’t much better! 2 bites of that was 2 to many!! But it was probably nice the first time it was cooked! Nothing short of a waste of money! Would ask for a refund if it was possible. Especially as I then spent half the night being sick! AVOID!!

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time, never been before as i don't live locally but definitely make a detour next time.

Tried first time tonight. Had to wait a while for fish and chips to be cooked, but it was so worth it. Cod was fab with crispy batter and a small portion of chips was definitely not small. Delicious and freshly cooked. £14 for 2 portions so good value

For the price of £20 I fed 4 children and 2 adults!! The fish was huge and the chips were fantastic. 100% would buy take out again. There was a good 10 min wait however this is because my food was cooked to order rather than sat under heat lights. Fantastic food and service!

Apparently under new management. Very small haddock for the money. Prices vary alot from online menu. Phoned order through to collect &waited almost an hour to get food. Will NOT be going again.

Went for fish and chips, good atmosphere nice staff, the fish and chips in my opinion not very good. A bit oily and I didn't like much the coating of the fish. Goo portion, and as I said only my opinion probably for other people the coating of the fish is ok.

My local chippie is great and I'm not saying that because It's my local. The food is good the staff are friendly and the price is good too.

I’m not normally one for complaining But we didn’t experience the best service yesterday. I would email directly if I could find a contact to email but I can’t. Last night I went in and ordered over the counter as I do normally. We had missing food from our order, when got home we were missing my daughters pie and a pea fritter, the sausages we had were terrible and we ended up giving them to the dogs, my wife had a chicken burger which was very dry and had no salad or mayo which was asked for. On the plus side the fish bites were amazing and the chips were good.

Brilliant chippy. Staff were amazing as a family member had nut allergy and went out their way to ensure everything was checked and cooked separately. Offered free drinks whilst waiting while things were cooking. Will definitely be returning.

This has been our go-to fish and chips place for the last few years… way better than Zenith which was our previous favourite. Portions are ample, prices are good and the fish is always fresh. Ring ahead if you don’t want to wait. We tried the new delivery service last night and amazingly it was just as crisp and fresh as when we collect from the shop, and the delivery charge is very reasonable. From order to delivery in 40minutes. Highly recommended

*Changed to 5 stars as we had a better experience this evening after getting our meal for free. Owner is lovely and reasonable in feedback. Fish was lovely and crispy. Chips were delicious. Ordered food it took a while to come, the wrong order was delivered. Rang up they sent my order out. Get it told everything is there but it was missing a meal and curry sauce. Rang back was told theyd send it out or do a voucher. As the food was already not that warm I declined the missing stuff being sent out and just shared. Chips were kinda cold so couldnt finish them. Fish was a bit Warmer and it tasted alright. However the cod and chips meal was decent portion Give 3 stars as the lady who answered the phone was lovely and apologetic but I have been put off ordering again even with the voucher, due to wrong order twice and cold chips.

I'll try anything once, this is the one time I'll be trying this place. Ordered online, paid on card because I only had a fiver in cash. Now normally I'd chuck that to the driver, no worries. Food turns up with a neon purple note saying "Delivery Charge 1.60." No mention of a delivery charge that needs to be paid in cash, one would assume that would be included in the online payment. That's before we even get on to the food. It's nots very nice, chips are bellow par, curry sauce was just vile, the rest just tasteless. Anyway, 2 stars because the delivery lady was nice. Shame they mugged her off out of a 5er with the money grabbing humiliation act they're trying to pull.

We live in Shipton Bellinger and have 2 fish & chip shops in Tidworth but we go Ludgershall. Cooked nice and fresh and chips are crispy and have colour unlike some around here. Cod Roe is cooked fresh and it is lovely. Wouldn’t go anywhere else Staff are friendly and food comes in a paper bag instead of plastic. Well done team

Not the best chippy around, large chips is not large it's a small medium at best.

This place is nothing special in reality, chips are usually nice, all the other items seem to be overcooked usually, had a battered sausage the other day and if i were blindfolded i would of never been able to tell it was a battered sausage. the deep fried burger tastes like cardboard, the re microwaved curry sauce is OK. Staff are all nice enough though cant complain with them. The price is quite high aswell compared to others, just upped the prices recently aswell. Ill still eat here in all fairness as it is the closes chip shop near my work. and food is just and just edible.

We just love the fish and chips from Down at the Chippie in Ludgershall. Whether it's 40 portions pre-ordered for a group event, or just two for this couple of old dears the service is consistently very good indeed. They cope with special dietary requirements too. Well recommended!

Called in for fish and chips on our journey south. Quick service and chips fine but OMG the small cod was definately cod - less! It was just a piece of batter with something inside but goodness knows what.It was as thin as a bit of cardboard and just as tasteless. Think this is the worse fish I have ever had from a chippy.

Lovely fish and chips (which seems to be rare round here...). Also the ladies who work there are really friendly and engage well with customers.

Pop in here every now and again as a treat, never disappointed. Piping hot food, large selection and generous portion sizes, staff are friendly too.

To be fair, every shop will have its fans who say nothing but good, That's fine, but they do not see all of what goes on it seems. l rarely eat chips, purely as a life style choice as well an healthy options and so on but as my children were peckish l decided to get a portion to share. The shop is the same as a million others so nothing special to note. l ordered a medium portion to take away and looked for the vinegar and a sachet of ketchup for later. These were expensive and a rip off. Once we got to where we were going, the children opened up the polystyrene tray and l was horrified to find a load of what looked liked yesterdays left overs reheated. The chips were soft, warm, soggy and about half the portion was of small crispy bits scraped out of the bottom of the fryer. Absolutely awful. l was embarrassed and ashamed that my children could not enjoy a decent meal/ The price was also over the top, expensive and poor quality. If a business can rip off its customers like that then it has no morals or ethics. I shall never go there again and let you make your own mind up if you want to take the chance of getting warm chips or ripped off.
