I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing and flavourful with authentic taste . I liked the way staff serving the customers cheerfully, excellent service fantastic food, very good ambiance. Really had a great experience and will visit the place again and again .

today we had a holi festival we went to the restaurant but we didn’t get any response we were standing there they behaved very badly with us we really disappointed by front staff girl.

Nice place to have South Indian food in Dartford. The dosas are really crispy and tastes very good. They have four type of chutneys. Sambhar Vada could be better though it is palatable. But we were disappointed with Dartford House Special Kottu Rotti. It lacks flavour.

On Mother’s Day we decided to order a take away from Dosa House restaurant in Erith. Nice reviews.Food came on time but the quality was so poor.I have lived in the Middle East for 25 years and have never seen anything like it. The naans were uncooked .cold and looked a week old.The aubergine curry was so unaappetizing,masala with a few pieces of aubergine skins.The shish kebab so hot just chilli and mince meat no spices. On the whole a big disaster.Everything except the chicken tikka got thrown away. What a Mother’s Day!!! For £ 57.High Prices Low Quality

A gem of a find that I happened upon by chance. I was surprisingly impressed. Great menu, food was fresh, hot and very tasty. I would go back again and I’d definitely recommend. We ordered 5/6 different plates. Prices are very reasonable. (Should have taken the photo’s before eating, lol)

I love curries and been to many restaurants. This was one of the best I've ever had . Authentic street food. The Crab curry and veg rice was to die for .I can't wait to go back.

This hidden gem is in a side street of Dartford, but now sits directly opposite the temporary (fabulous) Orchard Theatre. When passing through the unassuming entrance, the welcoming aromas will only tempt your tastebuds of the delights to follow. The food is superb. We had a dosa - subtle, fragrant and perfectly executed. We were asked if we wanted ‘spicy’ and that was exactly what we got. The deep fried cauliflower’Gobi 65’ is from another dimension. We were taken aback by each and every dish. The setting is austere, pleasant and clean. We remarked we felt like we could be sitting in a restaurant in Sri Lanka or India. The service was fabulous - friendly and on point. We are planning further visits to explore the menu further. It is very, very reasonably priced. A perfect start to an evening at the theatre, which is across the street. 11 out of 10 from us !

Ordered 3 dosa only 1 arrived. We requested them to send the full order as the kids will now go hungry. They did not bother to make any efforts for delivery. Pathetic service. Never buying again from them.

It was our first visit to Dartford Dosa House and we wanted to try something different. The staff helped us with our choices and were very patient as we made up our minds. The food was absolutely gorgeous and very reasonably priced. Definitely would go back.

Absolutely disgusted !! Paid £39 for two biriyani’s the two of the smallest naans a dip selection costing £3.5 two out of the four dips taste like melted plastic and to top it all off paid £1.5 for “papadums” and what turned up was ONE crushed papadum …absolute joke will never EVER order from here again very dissatisfied

Good clean place but to be honest I have had really great dosas in my life, so compared to those you'll be disappointed. But if you are hungry and need a quick decent meal, you won't regret it.

Myself and other couple of families we go together for dinners or order takeaway from this restaurant twice a month. Last few times we had really bad experience but the recent experience was very disappointing. We ordered food for 9-10 people through just-eat. All the garlic naan were burnt, chicken lollypop was undercooked. We called restaurant and they have simply asked to contact just eat. Just eat refunded however the customer service we were expecting from restaurant was soo poor. We all have decided Will never order again from Dosa house. We are looking for better options for our get togethers locally now.

Good Indian restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. Very reasonably priced and they have a good discount on takeaway on all days and dine in on certain days of the week. The Indian breads are a bit on the thick side and one time we received naan that was too stiff. Will avoid the Indian breads!

Fantastic food and service. I went quite early on a Thursday evening so I was the only person there. The Masala Dosa was delicious and satisfied my craving for South Indian food. I'll definitely be going back to show my family and friends what they are missing and food they haven't tried yet - especially the Vada, dosas and Kulfi. The service was fantastic they were so attentive and kind. They have a pictures showing the foods and their names which is helpful, you can tell all the pictures have been taken there. Definitely try if you've never had South Indian food before!!

Dont be deseved by the appearance from the outside. Great and authentic Sri Lankan food...spicy and delicious. Very promptly served despite the place being quite busy on the weekend. Consider booking a table if you intend to visit on the weekend, we were lucky with getting a table without one. Friendly and polite staff.

I read the mixed reviews and very glad I ignored the poor ones. Visited a Saturday lunchtime, solo. Only a few people in when I arrived but most tables were occupied when I left an hour later. Masala dosa was faultless. Big and crispy with a mildly spiced potato curry. The rasam soup was spicy hot and sour, with bags of flavour. The paratha was soft and flakey. The aubergine curry was a good size portion that could easily have fed two. Proper warm spices, clove, cinnamon and medium heat with a hint of sweetness. Perfect. Masala chai came unsweetened so the customer has the option but I prefer it to be sweetened as it is made. Perhaps I should have asked. Service was from two young staff members. Very good. Will return with a big group.

I always passed Dosa house as the appearance didn’t impress me much, but today I ordered a chicken tika masala for delivery and it’s one of the best I ever tried. Do not hesitate to order and enjoy your meal!

Authentic Indian cuisine. Visited Johannesburg recently and went to dinner at Dosa Hut in Fourways. We were a party of 18. The meals were excellent and tasted authentic. Would recommend the establishment to anyone looking for authentic South or North Indian cuisine. Only negative feedback is decor,lighting, tables and seating needs much attention.

Went for a lunch with a 7 weeks old baby. Place was empty only one table taken. Waitress offered a table to us by the entrance and above the air con. We asked to be moved to the corner, she refused. Even the place was totally empty. She said she needs to keep the tables for other customers, with no babies. We asked for a manager. He was not available, after 10 min of negotiating a table we had to leave because she just refuse to let us sit at any other table. Incredible rude waitress, we didn’t expect to be refused service because we have a baby. Definitely not family friendly, or maybe she was rude because the restaurant it’s only for Asian people, I am white myself. Note to a manger, consider hiring staff that don’t discriminate families with babies! Avoid this place.

Tasty authentic food, with attentive helpful staff. Some of the best muttton rolls I've ever eaten, along with great onion bhaji, Methu Vada (savoury doughnuts with coconut chutney) and superb Masala Dosa. We also tried the Idly this time (fluffy rice dumplings with various chutneys) and we were not disappointed. This is a great local place to eat, budget friendly with superb food. Highly recommended.

Ordered a takeaway worth £50, 3 curries, 3 pilau rice, 2 peshwari nans and popadoms. When we came to collect the plastic bag had staples and a receipt, wish we had opened because there was no meat. The lamb curry and the two chicken, Srilankan and Butter chicken had the smallest pieces of meat I have ever seen in my entire life. I called and let the guy at reception know and he was defensive. We had driven from Essex to Dartford for a curry as most restaurants were shut over the bank holiday. Will never buy there and would not recommend. Just goes to show most of the reviews on their page are false and not verified. Absolutely a rip off, don't waste your money. Rice was in Large Containers and the curry in tiniest disposable lunch boxes, half full with almost minced chicken or lamb. You have totally lost a customer, won't be coming back.

Decided to eat here with some Indian friends one mid Sunday afternoon. When we arrived the restaurant was not busy so we had a choice of tables. The staff were friendly and helpful without being too pushy. We all ordered a variety of Dosa’s, a plain Dosa, a chicken masala Dosa and two special Dosa’s with a few different side dishes. All the food was served hot and was very tasty. The only downside was the food was not all delivered together, we had at least a 10 minute gap between the first dish and last dish arriving which made for a disjointed meal, that said the food was lovely as shown by all the plates being cleared.

I chose this restaurant as a couple of friends, my Wife and I were going to a show at the Orchard. It is within easy walking distance of the theatre. I read the reviews which on the whole seemed quite positive and another very dear friend of mine is Sri Lankan and his Mum was a good cook. I think the spice aspect of the food has been moderated to deal with the English palate as, although I asked for the dish to be spicy it certainly has less punch than I was used to from traditional Sri Lankan fare. The staff are kind and curtious. The ambiance is okay and the food arrived promptly (although when we arrived there were few diners). If you enjoy southern Indian sub-continent food I would suggest you give it a try.

As always, the experience was amazing! Staff are always lovely. The lady that served us was as nice as ever and so thorough with the order. The staff are excellent and extremely polite. The food had outstanding behaviour. Always recommend the plain Dosa to share as a starter and the onion bhajis are divine. We’ve been coming here since before lockdowns and the excellent standard is always the same. By far, the best restaurant in Dartford.

Having visited Sri Lanka for our honeymoon, and twice since, we always remember the amazing flavours of the Sri Lankan cuisine. So we decided to visit Dartford and give the Dosa House a go. The waiter was very helpful, helping us to decide how much we should order (I wanted everything on the menu!). For two of us we ordered the Paneer Dosa, Mutton Khotu, Aubergine Curry and Pilau rice. We both have a healthy appetite, and this was plenty, with no waste. The flavours were amazing, the spice levels perfect (leaving a good glow in the mouth) and we both loved everything served. I tried a glass of the Indian Shiraz, which I was very impressed with, and complemented the spicy meal well. We've only just left, but are already planning our next visit to explore the menu further...

We used to go here before covid and always had a good experience. I booked this on the spur and had a very good time here , we only ordered three dishes but we're really impressed with them . Good service good food and good atmosphere.

The restaurant looks great and the restaurant staff were polite and efficient. I ordered takeaway (Keema nan, Okra, and Aubergine dishes). The Keema Nan tasted of fish and no minced meat at all, hidden by weird spices. The Okra and Aubergines were spicy hot ( I ordered medium) and you could hardly taste the vegetables. The impression was that the spicy hot seasoning was to hide the taste of authentic food. I spoke highly of DORSA HOUSE to my colleagues and friends only to be badly let down by the worst Asian food presented to me to date. I have travelled all over the world impressed even by basic dishes. The food prepared by DORSA HOUSE was absolutely sub-stand and a disaster. It was clear that the Chef`s or chef had no idea how to prepare a basic dish. This was meant as a snack for my self and special guests at my home including a BRITISH GURKHA REGIMET CHEF . The food was embarrassing which I threw away immediately. I was anticipating approaching Dorsa House to make a large restaurant booking for an international conference. Had tasty pre theatre dinner on a bust saturday evening as there wasn’t a table spare. Thoroughly enjoyable especially the Seafood Kothu Rotti and squid curry. Can’t wait to come back .

The food doo taste like indian food. The proper amout of spices and quantity are good. Had their butter chicken, chicken kuruma, naan, ghee roast dosa, and Chicken fried rice. Everything was tasty and had a good portion Only naan was very hard, after told to the staff they immediately replaced it new one. I loked the chicken kuruma than the butter chicken.

We stumbled upon this place accidentally while out for a walk. We went in purely for our love of dosa. On advice by the owner we order a special kottu roti which was amazing. We never had it before but now I think I will be ordering one everytime I visit this place. We also ordered a Mysore masala dosa, the dosa was spicy however the potato stuffing could be a little more spicy. But overall the food hit the right spot and we were very happy now Dartford has dosa place. They have a varied range of dishes and I cannot wait to go back and try them. The owner seemed very nice and friendly too. I would highly recommend this place if you love south South Indian and Sri Lankan food.

Delicious food at very reasonable prices. They do a selection of dishes, but I'd sway towards the Sri Lankan dishes. Kotu Rotti was particularly nice, as were the dosas (which were huge!) On top of that the staff were lovely and service was very good. Will 100% be returning.

This little gem of a restaurant keeps impressing me and my family. Every visit takes me back to the smells and tastes of Sri Lanka. Our kids are very picky when it comes to the food they eat, so the fact that they keep asking us to go back to Dosa House is evidence of the quality of the food on offer. It is well worth a visit. The staff are attentive and always willing to help. Give it a try and you will become a regular, just like us!

Overall, food could be better. Paneer chili should have more paneer and less onion and pepper. Onion and pepper should have been cooked. The chicken biryani smells like pot pourri. The amount of spice was an overkill (coming from someone with a South Asian background). The dosa was great!

Interesting place to go for a meal. It is very clinical looking with it's white walls so very bright inside . The menu is not your normal menu has different versions of things you recognise and things you have never heard of. The food is good and comes in good size portions. Was not that busy so service is fairly quick. Price wise a bit more expensive than some places, just depends what you order.

Visited Dartford Dosa House for the first time, didn't know what to expect. The food was delicious, portions were very large and the price was very low! Staff were very friendly and helped us out choosing the right amount of food. Very authentic cooking, beautiful flavours and just the right amount of spicy 🔥🔥 Will most definitely be returning, think I've found a new favourite restaurant in Dartford!! If I could give 6 stars I would!

Food is nice and tasty with a goodvarietyof veg and non veg dishes. The service let's the restaurant down as they are sometimes short staffed, resulting in having to wait long periods for the order to be taken, and food to arrive at table.

Had the Methu Vada, made with onions, chilli, ginger and dhall according to a menu, but they were just two mini doughnuts that tasted of nothing, and the coconut dip was just a bit of cream/yoghurt with a big spoonful of dried, desecrated coconut inside....

The Butter Chicken Masala was very poor, that should have been an easy win surely, but it had little sweetness, richness and flavour.....something you could have done at home very easily (and better). The Naan, Mutton Fry and Onion Bhaji were ok, but nothing special at all.

Really nice atmosphere and good food

Visited last week and the Dosas are made fresh and crispy and to our liking. Specially the Mysore Masala Dosa was spicy and just like we wanted it. We have done takeaways as well from here few months back during lockdown and was never disappointed. Their mixed special fried rice too is always a favourite.

Arrived around 7:45pm. Ordered familiar menu items we tend to get elsewhere, one being Ghee roast dosa (we are in a dosa restaurant). Was impressed, quality and taste were better. Overall, enjoyed the food and nice environment.

Ordered fish and chicken very stale and the quality of the food also not great chicken was chewy and fish was very stale. Extremely unprofessional attitude when called up and spoke to the person. One of the worst experience ever.

Order food here thinking it would be great..but plzzzzzzzz avoid this place...stale food not fresh dried lemon in the dish veg and chicken taste like stale.
