Great place to hang out, tasty brunch options, superb coffee (their specialty is iced espresso/cappuccino), they have some exquisite selection of wines and beers, they do have a list of signature cocktails (disaronno sour 🤤) and their staff is friendly as always.

I have no idea how this so rated so high, it shocks me how disappointed I was when coming here for tea and breakfast… the food portions where small, took extremely long to come out (especially for what we ordered), overpriced (for the amount of food and drink we got). We ordered the club sandwich and pancakes. The club sandwich was a simple dish, it would take less than 5 minutes to construct, yet took 30-45 minutes to come out. The pancakes were small and didn’t really taste how people described, again with the raving reviews. Not to mention people who came in well after us had their dishes served first. Very unimpressed. I think this is the highest rated cafe over eaten at, and was by far the in the bottom 3 ever. Truly the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had from a place that sells food. Definitely don’t tell mama, she would be so disappointed…

We came to eat here during our visit in Edinburgh after reading all the positive reviews. My partner and I were genuinely surprised at the lack of quality in food and the horrendous service. We ordered the Royal Sandwich and the Pancakes. We waited for more than 35 minutes (they only seemingly remembered about our food once we inquired), despite a very small sized cafe. What we received did in no way justify the length of our wait. The pancakes were the size of the diameter of the top of my closed fist, were tasteless and nearly as thin as crepes. Seeing that you get four of the teeny slices at the generous cost of £11 I was genuinely let down. As someone who lives in London, I am no stranger to expensive food, but I expect my moneys worth in return. The sandwich consisted of a slice of lettuce, a ham slice and some sauce spread on it, with uninspiring bread. The sandwich alone does not seem to have taken more than thirty seconds to assemble. Similar to the pancakes, underwhelming taste, especially for £13. The ambience of the place itself is fine, but not overly cosy with the choice of music being played in the cafe. Overall, in no good conscience would I recommend this place, especially seeing that there’s such fantastic options close by on the same road. We went to the Treehouse Cafe the day after for breakfast, where the service was incredibly lovely, attentive, and the food incredibly well priced for the amount of delicious food we received. (No but seriously, don’t tell your Mama, because she’ll be upset you’re wasting your money here)

Came across this place unexpectedly as I was wandering around. I decided to give the green smoothie a go. I was sceptical at first as I do not like ginger or kale, but I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and filling the drink was. It was delicious! The interior of the shop is also very cute, with many plants and the lighting making it cozy and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff at the till was very friendly with a warm smile. It made my day after a long day of travelling to Edinburgh. Thanks! I can't wait to be back with my flatmate to try other drinks.

Cozy, very bright place, ideal for students! Sockets to charge your laptop are available! I had breakfast and brunch a few times and I had always been extremely satisfied by the quality and taste of the dishes and also the wonderful and fast service received! I would highly recommend this place!

Love, love, love their hot chocolates and mochas! Hot tip: the takeaway drink sizes are a bit bigger than the sit in drink sizes, but sitting in is well worth it because it's a great atmosphere. They recently renovated some parts of the café and it looks 👌

Don't Tell Mama is not a place to bring your laptop, work for hours while nursing a coffee. It's not fair and they'll ask you not to. It also gets too busy. Tip: However, there are power points in the corridor down the side and around the corner from the main area. They're also high tables suitable for two or one and a laptop here. I'm a fan! The coffee is tasty and there's a more cosmopolitan menu than baking affairs. I recommend the Cretan omlette, but it's more like a soft pizza holding lightly scrambled egg than a traditional omlette. It's a clever mix, finding a niche in that savoury spot you might want for brunch. Indeed, it's in the brunch column of their menu. Repeatedly, I've found staff to be friendly and helpful. It does get very busy, though, so don't expect lazy bants. You'll get polite efficiency and that's exactly what I'd want. The counter area is a physical bottleneck. It can't be helped, either they sacrifice a significant portion of the main cafe to a queuing area or the tables come up close. I suspect this isn't the ideal location to bring a pushchair. I recommend it to almost everyone else.

Best coffee in the city, potentially in my life. They have a broad, unique menu with a variety of different coffee drinks (check out their cold coffees, they are stunning). Their sweet pastries are also exquisite, very flavorful and fresh- not at all dry. Prices are great, and ambiance is fun. The only minor downfall is that their seats are not the most comfortable. I love it so much I want to hang out, but if you stay too long you'll leave sore. 😉

Came in a Sunday afternoon. The place was full and very noisy! The kind of noisy that there is music in the background and people are taking over the music. It makes it hard to talk with your friends when there are so many people on such a small place. We left fast because of this. I ordered a spanakopita which costed me almost £5 (definitely overpriced) and it was so overdone that I couldn’t eat the ends. I am Greek, I have had dozens of spanakopitas in my lifetime and this wasn’t worth the money at all. O have come in the past end enjoyed the place but this time my experience wasn’t great…

Coffee is delicious and the staff are lovely. The food is really good!! Definitely worth coming here for either as drink or food, a great place for brunch. There are gluten free options, not many though -the crepes for example are. we look forward to coming back and trying something else.

Really tasty food with Greek notes

Brilliant place, with brunch and lunch menu all day long. The dishes themselves are all a bit unusual, very tasty and beautifully served. Greek coffee and cafe fredo complete the extensive coffee anf tee list. Friendly place with a modern and relaxed interior. Worth visiting in Edinburgh

Cute little Greek coffee place with very good coffee. A bit too pricey but good overall. The pastries come with hummus or yoghurt which I don't understand but hey it might be cool for some, personally I don’t think they need it. The bathroom was extremely clean which is always a good sign and the handwash smells delicious 😂

My friend and I were allowed to sit in which we were very grateful for as we returned from outlet jog and the weather had gotten colder. The decor was cool, staff were friendly and loved their coffee.

I was welcomed very warmly today and my first Greek pastry experience is awesome! I've only tried their seasonal warm drinks for the past few months but today's visit is definitely excellent! The space is beautiful and modern too💚💙 The toilet is clean and smells really good. The handwash soap, though??? Smells so good, I am still wondering what brand is that HAHA Thank you so much!

A small Greek café with lovely vibes, decor and hot chocolate! Arty coffee cups and Greek treats available to buy as well. Perfect to study in during the week. Right next to the Bruntsfield Links. Great service.

Definitely one of the best coffee shops in Edinburgh. Their coffee is delicious, specially the latte. The staff is very kind and efficient. Also the brownies taste really good and they have a wide variety of flavours. Also the cups are cool.

Had a latte from their van in Fife leisure park, and it was easily the best takeaway coffee I've had, better than starbucks, costa, or any of the rest, would definitely recommend trying!

Coffee is great as well as the savoury pastries. Also they sell some Greek products from Halva to Greek chocolates. They have currently a takeaway set up to accommodate the lockdown rules. Guaranteed you will be greeted with a smile and a good service.

Gutted we only found this place a couple of weeks before we moved house! The best chai latte I've had in the city and their sausage and mustard rolls are unassuming but absolutely delicious! Every single member of staff that works there is super friendly and always has a smile on their face, and the artwork/vibe of the place is cool! I frequently wander through the Meadows from my new place back here so that I can get lunch. Worth the walk!

Amazing place! Why I can’t find it earlier 😜? The coffee is amazing, without sugar it still didn’t have bitter taste. The pie is just right as well! Great flavour but not oily.

Fantastic coffee, great food, besides all the greek food the portions are also greek (means they are big).

Had coffee and cake and it was great, the place has really thought about the interior as well as the food. Cake was lovely, the plates / gold cutlery was cute! Sat at back corridor as no other option, seats not comfy and kept slipping off but that's the only negative, otherwise it's super!

We loved it. The american black coffee was very good (and we're Italians, you know how much we stress the importance of a good coffee :D) and the Mediterranean breakfast was a surprisingly delicious mix of an english tradition together with our home ingredients. We felt this "mixture of heritages" in all the offerings of the bar, and we were right - one of the owners is Greek, and also lived in Milan for a while!

We stoped by here for a quick coffee and snack before going to the Kings for a matinee performance. The best coffee and scone (blueberry and white chocolate) we've had in a long time! Service was quick and staff were so friendly and polite. Now we know its there, will definetely return!

Came here for breakfast and looking for ‘something for everyone’ with my 2 daughters, one vegan and one decidedly carnivorous! Well, the choice and quality of food, the atmosphere and service could not have been better. Fab staff and friendly surroundings. We will definitely be back!

This place has a lovely, relaxed vibe. The coffee was delicious, as was the food (they have a handful of great vegan options for my plant based friends!). The staff were super friendly and everything came nice and quickly, even though it was clearly all fresh. Lovely decor, upbeat music playing in the background, delicious and well-presented food, and quite reasonably priced. Would recommend for sure!
