Dolgellau Kebab & Burger House in Gwynedd

Grandson had a large Margherita pizza and said it was very good.

As per other reviews the food is generally good and we have used them alot. However one guy who serves is a right piece of work. Very rude, obnoxious and blatantly tries to embarras people. He palmed me off an Irish fiver last night so won't be using them again. He knew what he was doing. Shame cos the other guys are ok. There loss.

Disappointing meal and an expensive meal too. Ordered a Meal for the family and was rather disappointed. Asked very clearly for some sauces on my Mozzarella burger pictured below bur ended up with no sauce at all - Which is terrible for a burger which doesn’t have taste anyway. Mozzarella burger with no mozzarella but instead grated cheddar cheese?!?! How shocking! Why name it a mozzarella burger then if you get ZERO mozzarella.

We ordered from these guys last night as nothing was open in Fairbourne. The garlic bread with cheese and onion was delicious! The chicken burgers were also tasty with nice fresh salad. Would recommend.

Best kebab shop for miles, pizzas are great and my wife loves the chicken wings though a bit spicy for me. Always friendly guys in there and I would always reccomend phoning your order in so it is ready for collection.

The guy who was serving was extremely rude. Don’t even bother to ask any questions. Being himself an Albanian pretending to be English and not understanding what you ordering if you are foreigner (initially taking a Mickey out of you and then swearing at you in his own language). When all the restaurants stopping serving the food, they becoming the food kings of the village. Only giving 2 stars because of the food that was not that bad (but definitely not the best). Not recommended at all. Plan early and get the your dinner at the decent place with friendly service. Keep in mind that all rwstaurants, bubs and bars stop serving food early giving them the time to rule the village gastronomy. Ruined my first evening of the stay!

Best pizza I’ve had from a takeaway! Loads of toppings, crispy base and fresh! Partner had a double beefburger, he said it was delicious! This is what takeaway food should be like everywhere! Will definitely come again when passing!

Always polite and great service. Food is quick, generous and tasty. They're often very busy. One of favourite take outs! A few reviews mentioned salad, I'm not sure what happened with their food but salad is always given as a matter of course. They sometimes ask if you would like salad but it's always available

Bring your own salad and a pinch of patience for the rude staff. Very impatient staff who don’t care about customer service and treat customers like dumb people and very patronising. Kebabs, wraps and burgers just come with a bit of bread and meat, no salad or sauce provided or offered. We’re not minded paying extra for this, but to not even offered. Meat was dry and no flavour and chips were basically plastic cardboard. Where is kebab I’ve ever had in my life!!

Small little place ,plenty of food ,ordered a large barbecue donor kebab, could've done with a bit more barbecue sauce, the chap was sadly alone but ran it very well, polite, efficient, could've also used a fork maybe

Second time this week, the food is just excellent after a day of walking. Meat, salad, chips are so tasty. Tonight I was short of cash having forgotten my wallet, Ali, the manager added fries to my order saying that he recognised me as I come at least to Dollegelau once or twice a year. A kind gesture very much appreciated.

Ordered food for collection at a specific time as my mum has dementia but they only started cooking when I arrived. Why bother? Go somewhere where they listen to you instead. Mediocre food, large portions.

Had a lovely pizza here. Everything was fresh and cooked well. There is a good selection on the menu but parking is very limited.

Worst kebab I’ve ever eaten. I ordered a chicken kebab with just lettuce and I received full salad, never asked for full salad. Also received my kebab with a puddle of steam/grease.

Honestly, I went here without reading any reviews so didn't know what to expect, what I didn't expect was a 25-minute wait for a pizza I ordered in the take out whilst many phone orders came and went. You would think a single pizza for the only person in the takeaway would be 15-minute wait tops. The pizza itself was fine nothing wrong with it at all, might be a little greasy for some just don't call in without ordering in advance.

First time visit to Dolgellau Kebab house as I was stopping in the local area. Not many places offer similar food in the local area, so your choice is limited to where you can go or how far you want to travel. There is no parking outside the shop but I found a car park space further up the road and walked back ( about 5 mins walk ) the shop looked clean and tidy and the hygiene rating from the local council is a 5 out of 5. It is takeaway only with no option to eat in. Face masks to be worn ( sadly not everyone adhered to the advice ) but with the doors open wide It probably isn't to much of an issue. I had the vegetarian pizza and small chips. The chips I noticed were reheated / cooked twice leaving them barely edible and the amount of salt put on them didn't help either. Most of these went into the bin! The pizza was a decent size and the portions of veg were spot on. The pizza was nice and I would have another pizza again.

I was inspired to go here when I saw a group of guys eating pizzas from here and they looked lovely. We had 1 pizza and 1 kebab and both were absolutely delicious. Fast friendly service and a really tasty meal watching Strictly on the sofa. I will come back again as I was impressed.

Visiting Dolgellau again, stopped off at the Dolgellau Kebab & Burger House, just by the river. Good takeaway Kebab and pizza - though service is now much slower than it used to be - waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food!

We had chicken shish and can't foult it. Fresh, made soft and juicy, perfectly seasoned (not overwhelming )- nice fries, sturdy forks. Had a very nice picnic with childrden.

The food and portion size where decent, its a bit small the shop but its fine when the town looks amazing, the only struggle was finding parking for this place. First impressions, the guy seemed a bit rude but I might be jumping to conclusions, could of been due to rushing with other orders etc. They even gave us a free bottle of Fanta so it's all good.

Very high prices food is average but chicken kebab is nice. Servers arent very talkative but are respectful.

After been made to wait an excessively amount of time to order with out even an acknowledgement from the staff we was served our doner meat-with chips and garlic bread only to receive a disgruntled huff when we asked for Mayo, the staff clearly only wanted to serve locals as many orders had been taken and served whilst we waited in the shop front in what can only be described as rat urine swamped it absolutely stank to the point we felt sick. The guy is rude and disrespectful which is a shame as the food is ok well for kebab any way , the portion wasn’t reflective of the price as the meat content in the doner meat and chips was minimal. Thankfully this isn’t my local and obviously thriving on just pushing food out to visitors

The food is nice all of the food is good but it is Expensive double the price of takeaways I usually go to outside the area but this is the only takeaway in the area that do nice tasting food so thay can change what they want saying that all of the takeaways in the area are expensive but at least this one the food is good

We visited this area on holiday, we found this take away. It was BRILLIANT. The owner is a Top guy. Looked after us, and food really was top. Highly recommend.

A takeaway that serve an excellent selection of kebabs and pizzas. Ideal for campers and caravaners in Dolgellau. Sometimes they do not answer the phone (if busy) and there may be a queue on to the pavement, but this testament to the quality of their food.

Six of us had a takeaway from here on 07/08, a busy Friday night. The food was cooked to order as we waited for around 15 minutes. Various kebabs and a pizza were enjoyed by us all, everything was delicious and the the meat was well cooked and tender with fresh salad. a little more pricey than your usual kebab house but very well worth it!

My boyfriend and I had a takeaway from here last week on holiday from England.We both had large kebabs and were amazed that we had two skewers each of meat plus salad and a bread.The staff were very polite, well dressed (which makes a good impression when visiting a food establishment that the staff look clean and tidy) and organised.The food was from a very tidy looking chilled counter- the kebabs were carefully cooked on a hot grill in sight behind the counterThe food was hot, very tasty and the meat was not chewy. Plenty of sauce options.Very impressed so thank you.

This was genuinely the worst take away we've ever had. Garlic bread was burnt and bitter, pizza tasted like it had been reheated from the day before and the scampi and chips was probably the dryest meal I've ever seen.

Seems like the whole town love it ....its busy !
