This place has just re-opened as Valentino's, a Italian bar and Restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Al agio and it was fantastic. Staff were brilliant and very polite. Will definitely be back 😁

Visited on Tuesday 27th August for an evening meal with friends. This was our first visit. The restaurant is lovely inside but was very quiet - there was only one other table occupied. My main course of seafood brochette and starter of haggis & duck spring rolls were both delicious and everyone else really enjoyed their meals too and we had no complaints about the food. Our waitress was friendly & welcoming. Apparantly the restaurant is being re-branded to an Italian soon and I will definitely be back.

Éramos las únicas personas en el restaurante, pero veo que dice que está cerrado los domingos en línea, ¡pero no lo está! El camarero era encantador y genial con mi hijo de 15 meses. El menú para niños también tenía buenas opciones. Definitivamente lo recomendaría, especialmente el pollo petardo.

Donde empezamos . . . . . .Orden de las bebidas. . . . camarero toma el pedido para dos personas, yo y mi amigo, una botella de rojo y una botella de blanco. . . . regresa con 4 copas, pero le dimos el beneficio de la duda de que el vino puede ser para nuestros diferentes platos. El camarero avisó que es nuevo. Viene el camarero toma nuestros entrantes de orden y principal.Entrantes sin problemas planteados. . . . . . . . plato principal de surf y césped para ambos, uno con salsa Diane el otro grano de pimienta. Mi amigo pidió bistec a medio y bien cocinado para que me dijeran que no es un restaurante de bistec, ¡todos los bistecs están bien hechos! ! No contento pero lo aceptamos.Los entrantes llegan todos bien. Llega el plato principal. Mi amiga tenía su bistec y gambas, no tenía salsa, mi bistec vino con salsa Diane pero no gambas, así que le aconsejamos al camarero que no tuviera gambas o salsa de pimienta para mí, el camarero respondió que el pimiento aún no estaba en su bistec. . . . . eh no, debería ser una salsa. El camarero se disculpó y se fue a buscar salsa y langostinos, la salsa llegó a partirse. Uno pensaría que no podría ser peor. La comida estaba realmente bien! ¿Te gustaría ver el menú de postres? Sí, por favor, comparte una tabla de quesos y te preguntamos si tienes oporto. Sí, lo tenemos se llama puerto! Bien, ¿puedes averiguar el nombre? Regresé, se llama Puerto, así que, agobiados por el castigo que ordenamos, lo bebimos pero lo sufrimos después. Así que llega la tabla de quesos, un plato de pizarra de queso y galletas con mantequilla, sin platos laterales o cuchillos, pregunte al camarero por ellos, para preguntar para qué necesita eso. Eh estamos compartiendo. . . . . Para ser sincero, este pobre joven loon no tenía ni idea, pero no culpamos al restaurante por su estructura, ya que el propietario se emborrachó en el bar y no le dio ninguna importancia. Nuestro consejo sería que nadie que trabaje aquí salga, usted no aprenderá nada de este establecimiento. No nos quejamos esta noche, ya que no es el personal el problema, está claro que la administración ha dejado que los niños y las niñas lo manejen. Sorprendente y para ser honesto, no volveré, pero mi amigo y yo tuvimos un ataque a la carnicería de este restaurante. Este restaurante / bar debe cerrarse de manera impactante en el clima que enfrenta Aberdeen.

Food is wonderful, sports television in the bar, varied menu for all tastes. Cannot fault the restaurant

We went here with friends for food and drinks and the food was very good , it is fusion food and all four starters and mains got the thumbs up . The drink is a lit5le pricey and it’s not overly busy but we had a very nice night indeed so I would recommend it for a nice peaceful night out

I really don’t like leaving poor reviews, but unfortunately we really did not have a great experience at this restaurant. Food - fusion confusion, certain elements where tasty but unfortunately the balance was wrong. Atmosphere & Decor terrible. Service - not great based on the fact there was three servers and only eight guests in the restaurant, covering three tables. Toilets disgusting with urine all over the floor along with paper towels and a lovely smell. Bar area not much better, with shocking decor and dog urine on the floor. All for dog friendly bars but when it is quiet and the dogs mess on the floor, you half expect it to be cleaned up, not left as a slip hazard. This review sounds terrible but honestly true.

Had stopped going here after it changed from dizzy's as we just weren't that sure.. However with the sun shining, and the adult children home for the weekend, we decided to go for an al fresco lunch. I'm so glad we did, the Asian fusion food is utterly amazing! Service can be a bit hit and miss but we weren't that bothered. Go! We'll definitely be back.

Staff friendly. Service shocking. 45 mins from when we ordered our drink to when we actually got it. People who arrived after us received their meals before us. Food was ok. Wouldn’t rush back.

Realmente disfrutamos nuestra visita reciente. El personal es acogedor, amable y atento. La comida era muy sabrosa y muy bien presentada. Interesante menú de fusión con una mezcla de cocina asiática y escocesa, buena carta de vinos y bebidas, todo a un precio razonable.

I visited with friends and we could not fault the place at all. We had a gluten free diner and they made a special menu for which was going above and beyond. Service was very attentive and food great.

Been to the bar a few times since the transition from Dizzy’s to Soju, but not yet tried the restaurant experience. I hope to try out the restaurant soon. Like others I had reservations about change of decor and furnishings especially the bar area, but that is perhaps due to my falling into the “mature” bracket. However, the decor is growing on me in that I now view it as quirky and on the scale of things the decor is a minor aspect. I am almost reticent to praise the place over much as my friends and I appreciate the so far relaxed atmosphere where it is not overcrowded, or noisy, but retains a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a good range of well known beer brands as well as their own labelling of local craft beer brewers all at competitive prices. Had a really memorable evening watch Calcutta cup match when Scotland rallied from being 31 down to a 38 : 38 draw with added bonus of free Scotch pies at halftime. Will be a regular venue again for us and looking forward to the al fresco drinking experience we enjoyed last summer.

A surprise menu which was very varied. A fusion of Scottish and Korean cuisine, a first for me but certainly not the last. Very nice decor and waiting staff with knowledge on the product. Lovely surroundings yet very quiet with not too many diners. Spotless restrooms too.

Having eaten at Dizzys for many years and never had a bad experience, this was our first visit to the revamped Soju restaurant. We both agreed the decor is awful, I’ve no idea who thought up the whole scheme but yuk! We had to wait ages for our drinks order to be taken, despite the restaurant being unusually quiet for 8 pm on a Saturday night. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio rose only to be asked by the waitress if I meant Pinot Grigio or did I really mean Pinot Grigio rose? Yes I actually meant Pinot Grigio rose which is why I said it! We then had to repeat our food order at least 5 times as I could see she wasn’t getting it (not so much a language barrier, more just not listening properly). Our starters were underwhelming, ok but tasteless; our mains were good (for the price I should’ve expected so though), my partner had a dessert which he said was good. When it came time to ask for the bill, all the waiting staff were chatting amongst themselves, my partner tried to attract their attention 4 times, succeeding once but still being ignored. Eventually he went up and paid at the desk, needless to say we didn’t tip and I doubt we’ll be back which is a real shame as it used to be one of our favourite places.

We went Saturday lunch time for a family meal , and we were all well impressed.

We went to SOJO as it is now called after a day out with the family they only had a fixed menu of chines type food, one of the children only wanted one course but was told you have to take two?

The fake vegetation, the ceiling lighting panels, the untreated timber finish and horrible material in quasi tartan design - who dreamt this lot up? The dining area is now on one level and can best be described as a featureless barn, devoid of atmosphere and staffed by people who don't know the menu. Saturday night in January and they had 14 covers present ie empty! The food however is OK and the starters all came with generous salads. The duck rolls and the chicken skewers were well cooked though the salmon skewers wasn't to my taste.The sea bass main was beautifully presented as was the blade of beef and pork trio, all generous portions. The seafood basket was a fishy fry up served on a bed of chips, rather lacking in imagination. Would I go back - probably not because of the decor, the interior designer should be ashamed of themselves.

Came here for an anniversary dinner. Some scallops to start, salmon and prawn linguine for main, a delicious slab of cheesecake for pudding, and a nice big glass of gin. Lovely.

Un restaurante muy extraño con camareros que no estaban al tanto de lo que había en el menú y las paredes cubiertas de vegetación falsa. Optamos por el pescado y las papas fritas, que en realidad estaba bien, pero evitaría volver aquí hasta que el restaurante cambie de manos o el equipo se ponga en contacto con lo que están tratando de ser.

Nos habíamos encontrado con un cliente allí, así que el lugar tenía que ser bastante decente y tener una gran variedad de comida. ¿Pero cumplió con nuestras expectativas?

Le faltaba un poco de ambiente ya que era muy tranquilo, pero la comida era deliciosa y el servicio excelente. Sentí que estaba un poco confundido como estaban los muebles en el bar, ¡cómo lo pongo muy bien, simplemente extraño! ¡Muy ostentoso y, como un odio del terciopelo, no podría sentarse en los asientos del banco junto a la ventana y no tendría ningún deseo de sentarse en los tronos! ! Sobre el tema de los tronos, los loos fueron muy decepcionantes! No había ningún gancho para colgar mi abrigo o bolso, el piso estaba mojado, el secador de manos no funcionaba y ¡no había ninguna tapa en el portarrollos! Necesita mejorar, pero estaré encantado de volver ya que la comida era buena.

. . . . ¡No más niveles divididos, ya no está oscuro, y el esquema de pintura rojo y negro se ha ido! Wow, qué diferencia, todo en un nivel, es como una sala de jardín de planta abierta, que se abre desde el bar hasta el restaurante. Las luces del techo son grandes paneles de luz, con escenas al aire libre de mirar hacia arriba a través de los árboles al cielo azul. . . . encantador. El personal de servicio atento y servicial. La comida era fresca, sabrosa, abundante y excelente relación calidad-precio. Limpiamos nuestros platos y pedimos que le dijeran al chef que disfrutamos nuestras comidas. Limpiar los platos todo lo que puedo decir.

This place has gone down hill. I cannot see it surviving until Christmas. The food is overpriced and there’s empty space on the shelves behind the bar. Bad signs..

Six of us went for lunch and to start off with we waited quite a while to order drinks, then even longer to order food. I ordered the smoked salmon bagel and when eventually it arrived, it was rock hard, impossible to cut and absolutely inedible. It was replaced for me but the second one wasn't much better - I ate a small bit of it but it was not nice. When we asked for the bill, I asked for my meal to be removed from the bill. After a long debate with what I assume was a manager, the waitress came over and said she'd get the bill. Another person came over, asked me exactly what was wrong with my food and how much of it did I eat?! Eventually it was removed from the bill but clearly begrudgingly! I will absolutely NOT be returning here. Awful service and even worse food.

Working locally we went for lunch however we will not be rushing back.

Had lunch here with a business colleague, service was good, lunch menu was varied. I had the katsu chicken burger. The chicken burger itself was great, perhaps personal preference but I am not sure what the need for half a jar of mayo is on the bun. I expected katsu to be the only sauce.

Honestly can't fault the staff here in any way. Last night my partner & I decided to go out last minute for food & decided to go to Dizzys on arrival we saw that they were doing renovations to the restraunt & we could see that they were really busy with only a small number of tables all reserved but they found us a table anyway & were so attentive to our needs. My partner ordered the haggis bon bons he said they were just amazing & I had the Thai beef salad to start, honestly can't fault the food in anyway. My partner then had the fish & chips & I had the jasmine tea smoked ribs wow is all I can say, the best ribs I've ever eaten. They were just amazing, highly recommend this or the Thai green curry I had that the last time its amazing. Just want to thank your front of house staff for their unbelievable attention to duty & warm welcome they also let us use a voucher we had even tho we were past the time for using it. Will most definitely be back thank you

Visited during a Friday lunchtime and sat with little issues. Haggis spring rolls were nice, just a tad light, even as a starter, for the price paid. But main course of fish and chips made up for it. Central and close to work also on Albyn Place!

We picked Dizzy’s as it was close by to a party we were attending. It was also recommended by a great number of friends and is a well known restaurant in Aberdeen.

Went to the have dinner with my wife on her birthday.

Arrived waited ages until offered a drink, then after an hour managed to flag a waitress to put our order in. My duck bon bons were dry and tasteless but the soup was nice. The pork ribs were fatty and tough left most of it. Then asked for a coffee but 30 minutes later none appeared. Asked for the bill and complained about the coffee to be told sorry new staff on.

As it is under a new ownership; I decided to go for a meal with a friend to try it out. Haven't been for many years. The food was amazing and the service excellent.

Lovely unique feel to this restaurant. Food is very good with very good service. I will return here for food and drinks

A nice place, though decor is maybe dated or an acquired taste (not to mine). The food is good traditional pub food at a reasonable price.

We turned up (4 people) without a reservation, and they kindly got us a table after we had a drink at the bar. The Italian waiter was excellent, very informative and pleasant. The food was delicious, especially the duck starter! Would happily visit again.

My wife and I dined on Valentines Day at Dizzy's. There was a set menu for the evening which was really great. We both had duck bon bons to start with. They were absolutely perfect. My wife had Sea Bass and I had the Thai curry. I have never tasted such a brilliant Thai curry. My wife enjoyed her fish. Then we shared a cheese board with some port. All in all very well put together good service lots of choice of wine, great knowledge of products by the staff. We will be returning to Dizzy's more often.

We’ve been to Dizzy’s loads of times. Gavin and the team are always on top of their game. The special Hogmanay/New Year event was great. Fantastic food, brilliant service and a pipe band to boot - what’s not to like!

went back to Dizzies after as break of some months , to find the venison has been added back on the menu , the food was absolutely delicious and tasty , they have definitely upped their game since i last visited so well done on the effort and to listening to the public on dishes

Sigh. I want to like Dizzy's. I really do. It's very convenient walking distance, the bar is nice, I'm fine with the cosy red colour scheme. After a couple of pleasant bar lunches decided to give it another try for a family evening meal. Although half- empty on a Friday evening we were given a slightly awkward table in the middle of what used to be an aisle but not too bad. The menu is decidedly average - burgers, fish and chips, steaks with a couple of more inspired options and a not very imaginative vegetarian option. As so often in Aberdeen the food and wine priced at least £2-£5 above what would be charged in other cities. Service was pleasant and enthusiastic but a lack of training, supervision and passion for customer service showed. The biggest issue was the length of time it took to be served.With two hungry lads present who had been working that day we ordered two platters of bread (merely as a stop-gap). It took 20 minutes to arrive. When chased, the explanation was that it was being heated up. And indeed it arrived toasty hot but served with a very acrid and musty tasting dip of oil and balsamic combined (I hate this, let me chose for myself how and if I want to combine!). Clearly the staff decided this was a starter rather than a stop-gap and didn't trigger the order for our mains until all cleared away. It took an hour from ordering to our meals. The fish dishes were all good especially the hake, although the scampi was a little chewy. Meat dishes not so good. We were not inspired to have pudding. Coffee was fine. A dish of shortbread arrived as we were paying and leaving. I'd like to go back and on regular basis but it just won't be happening. Shame the economic downturn hasn't led to much needed improvements in some Aberdeen restaurants.

Went with a group of friends for dinner. Food was lovely and service good. Nothing too fancy on the menu but lots of clean plates spoke for themselves. Would recommend.

We went here for our lunch after doing some shopping around Aberdeen. We had come quite late at around 2. But after going to sit down we had some lovely service by our waitress. The soup was one of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant, The “Tomato, Fennel and Olive Tapenade” especially. Breaded Haddock was also very neat. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone reading this.

Hadn't been since it had been taken over. Arrived around 5.30 on a Thursday evening and it was fairly quiet. Staff were friendly and seated quickly. Menu is fairly short but there are also specials. We both went with burgers and asked for no coleslaw on either but strangely this did come on one plate, it was in a small ramekin so we just removed it. The burgers were nice enough but mine was broken into pieces which made it harder to eat. You can use an app to pay which was easy and quick so overall fine but nothing stand out.

Nice staff, atmosphere, drinks and food. We enjoyed our meal and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We will return again. However I did think the prices a little on the high side. Nevertheless, worth a visit.

I attended a Private Function here last night where small portions of Fish and chips, macaroni and cheese and Cheeseburgers were served by the waitresses. The food was excellent (not sure if you are meant to have all three!), well presented and well served. The Bar Staff provided a fast service and the Waitresses were both excellent and efficient, given the added fact they had to navigate through a considerable number of guests. I would return here without hesitation...excellent freshly cooked food.

The place was very empty for a Saturday giving it no atmosphere for start .Food was really not great and the chocolate torte was absolutely awful ...it was mentioned to the waitress who came back and told us the chef agreed and it must be a bad batch ...really do they not taste the food that is going out !!!Will not be wasting my money in here again and really can not recommend it to any one very disappointed!

Was here for a family meal. Saddly the place was not very busy. I have no idea why as it has amazing food. Good portion sizes and nice beer. Could of done with an ale on top but other that that it was brilliant.

We booked a table but were amazed at how quiet it was for a lunch time. However that certainly didn't make any difference to our enjoyment. We both enjoyed our starters and main courses very much, and the wine was lovely too. So we stayed on, moved outside and enjoyed an al fresco glass or two of wine. Very friendly and attentive staff of Kate and Gavin.

This was the first I took my wife out to on our fist date over ten years ago. I only knew of Dizzy's because I renovated the place when I was serving my time as a joiner.Myself and my wife come here every year for our wedding anniversary and the food and staff our absolutely amazing. A brilliant atmosphere and gorgeous food.There's not much I can really say about this restaurant that I've not already said. I would sum this restaurant up in only a few words and that would be totally bloody amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to eat out in Aberdeen. Keep up the good work and I'll see you's all again in November.

We went there for our friend's birthday meal and had a great time. Would definitely recommend. There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed our meals, plus dessert, plus drinks. The service was faultless and they even brought out the birthday girl's dessert with an indoor firework and made the meal even more special. The waitress was brilliant, friendly, attentive and we did not have to wait long for either course. We had a great night and would go back there.

My husband and I visited Dizzys for dinner mid week. As numerous times before the service was first class. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food was delicious my husband had steak and for myself the panko covered fish. So tasty. We declined desert but had coffee instead. For first time visitors the menu is extensive with something for everyone. The steaks are to die for. Give it a try. We will be back. Thanks again for a fabulous meal.

We tried this venue with our itson voucher.Restaurant is beautifully done up very modern.Has a bar at the rear.Nice menu to pick from we had fish and chicken dishes which were both tasteful and well presented.The only drawback was the drinks were very expensive so stick to water.

I hadn't been here since taken over a couple of years ago, and was more than pleasantly surprised. Fantastic scallop starter followed by cod , courgette and pasta in bisque sauce. decor in restaurant very dark. staff generally very friendly and will be back again in the near future. If like me, you haven't been for some time, thoroughly recommend a trip back.

We thought we would try this restaurant again having been disappointed with the food on our last visit a couple of years ago! Our table wasn't ready when we arrived and we had to wait be seated. When seated we had to wait again for menus and had to ask for our order to be taken having not even been offered drinks!!! The food was good when it finally came!!! I also had a pina colada cocktail from the bar which was awful!!The staff took it away and made it again but I still couldn't drink it!! We won't be back!

Took my twins for theyr 29 th birthday lunch ..was lovely food staff were very helpful ,, quick service..+ prices were realy reasonable....will defo be goin back. Decor is realy lovely n clean ..loved it ..cant wait go back ..thank u for a great n relaxinv afternoon xxx❤

My self and my partner and the family visited this restaurant for the first time and we are so happy we came hear,the staff were so helpful and the food was excellent and price was exceptional and because it was a birthday meal we all got a free drink,the bar manager Gavin couldn't have helped any more cheers Gav

Went here for the first time last night. Service was slightly slow in taking our order but aside from that food was really good. I had pate and macaroni cheese. My husband had soup of the day and chilli. Very generous portions. We would definitely return

I had an It's On voucher and booked Friday night dinner. I liked the menu, plenty of variety. My starter was lovely, scallops, prawns and calamari, all cooked very nicely with a mayo dip. The main course of pan fried cod with pasta and courgette ribbons was delicious, the fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was light and flavoursome. The waitress was really helpful and attentive. I look forward to dining here again in the future.

Never been here before so tried it for lunch on Saturday. The food was fine, can't complain. It's pub-style food, Mac & cheese, burgers & chips etc. A bit on the expensive side we thought (two main courses, two ciders and two bottles of beer was £40). Service was friendly but pretty slow even though the place was almost empty. The decor looks a bit tired and in need of a refurbishment. In general it's ok, I wouldn't rule out returning but I wouldn't be in a huge hurry to go back.

Service was fantastic, very attentive. We had an itison voucher and got 2 courses for 2 people for £23. The scallops starter was delicious. Decor is quite dark and feels a bit dated.We went on a Friday night and the bar area was quite busy but it was separate from the dining area so you weren't disturbed.

Dizzies is only fifteen minutes walk away for us, and we are pleased to have a local restaurant serving good food at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a good ambiance and layout and is not too noisy. The menu has some interesting items a well as popular favourites. I had farmhouse pate, which was good, followed by pan fried cod on pappardelle pasta. The cod was fresh and tasty but to my taste the pairing with pasta was not ideal. The wine list is reasonably priced and so is the food, we paid £77 for two courses for two with a bottle of wine. The only negative point was that service was rather slow. We will eat there again.

My boyfriend and myself recently visited Dizzys on a Friday evening to celebrate his birthday. Both of our starters and mains were delicious. I would highly recommend visiting. The menu has a good mix of cheaper and more expensive items and we felt the drinks were reasonably priced. The only reason for a 4 star instead of a 5 star review is that the service was quite slow due to the restaurant being busy. However, on the night this wasn't an issue as we were in no hurry.

Visited on a sunny Thursday evening. We made good use of their lovely little outdoor seating area - little sun trap, great in summer! We then sat at the bar and had our dinner. We both ordered the steak burgers, delicious!! Nice big portion sizes and the burger was fantastic. Been to Dizzy's a few times over the last year and will keep going back! Great food and always lovely service.

Popped in on a Saturday evening without a booking. Bar area was very quiet which surprised me as last time I visited, a few years ago, the place was packed.Quickly seated at a table for two, offered drinks and given menus.Restaurant wasn't fully booked but staff were busy and it took a while for our order to be taken.Staff were quite friendly and things went smoothly from here.Starter of deep fried seafood was shared and it was ok.Mains of Cod for him and Lemon Sole for me.Sole was served as a generous portion with a mussel and corn chowder, which was a tad too 'herby' for me but that's personal taste.Cod was served with pasta, courgette and crab wontons which we both thought lacked crab taste.I wish I had ordered the Cod though as it was the tastier dish out of the two.Dizzy's hasn't changed much in many years it seems.It was popular with big groups and there was a good atmosphere.

Frequent Dizzys quite often, as I know what I like and they never disappoint! Booked the table online, and had a quick perusal of the menu.They regularly change the menu and although it's not extensive, there is always something for my fussy lot. The plus side is that the food is always fresh, well cooked, very well presented and sooooo yummy.We have had Birthday party's, seen the New Year in with friends, dropped in for lunch as it's well located and has a great ambience with friendly staff.I do eat out in Aberdeen quite a lot and tend to favour Dizzys for family time, so that speaks volumes.

Had lunch there with friends menu was quite limited. I had chosen a ciabatta with filling when it came it was over done I complained to the waitress who quickly apologised and offered something else Good service and friendly staff

Passed by without reservation but the manager, Gavin, offered us a seat promptly. He explained us about the new menu, full of choices! We opted for the goat cheese starter and the salmon. Brilliant presentation and combinations but the lemon sole (our main course choice) was absolutely sublime. The balance of mussels, sweetcorn on a mustard flavoured chowder is something we are still talking about and the presentation was brilliant.Dizzy's has a great kitchen team coupled by an attentive floor staff (Calum in our case). Price was well under our expectations. We will be back!!

Recently visited for a late lunch with friends.. restaurant wasn't busy but was nicely laid out .. bar was very busy .. Staff friendly and efficient.. food was lovely.. parking onsite... Definitely recommend a visit!

Had dinner on Saturday night with a large group of friends - as with all my other visits the food was terrific and lovely service. I thoroughly enjoyed my scallop starter and venison main course. The venison was perfectly cooked. Clear plates all round. Great value too! Prices are extremely reasonable given the quality of both food and service. Will undoubtably return, again!

We booked Dizzy's restraint for a Mothers day treat for the mums, we were greeted by the owner who as we had a baby with us directed us to a roomy seat where mum could be close to baby. The mums were given a complementary glass of Prosecco while we perused the extensive menu I must admit the meal was first class and well presented and the service was fast and efficient it was then I discovered it is run by the same people who had the Stage Door restaurant in Aberdeen.

Went in for lunch. Very friendly staff, pleasant restaurant and quick service. Not to mention the fantastic Chicken and Chorizo burger!

Very average, dark, noisy basement restaurant. Service slow and food very ordinary not an eating place I would not choose to visit. On this occasion was with a group.

A group of us went for dinner last night to Dizzy s. This was the third time we d been in the past few months and once again, it was truly excellent. The service, ambience and food were all good. We eat out a lot, all over the world and all 7 of our group last night had no complaints at all. Praise where praise is due, well done Dizzy s.

We decided to return to Dizzy's for post wedding celebrations. From booking to settling the bill, the service was fantastic. We were a table of 16. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The waitress that served us was very friendly and efficient. We are so pleased we chose this restaurant. We will definitely return. Thanks again.

We hadn't been to Dizzys for ages so decided to give it a try - and we weren't disappointed. The service was friendly and despite being really busy, was fairly efficient (just a little slow on getting our drinks as the bar was so busy, but this was acknowledged and the waitress was apologetic). The menu was great and everything we chose was really nice. We had a selection of mains and puddings and couldn't fault anything.We will definitely return and would recommend it.

My wife and I went to Dizzy's with chums on Saturday night and we had a great meal. The service was excellent and we were well looked after. The menu is not massive but covers a wide spectrum of tastes so plenty to choose from.

The bar and restaurant decor and outside seating area are lovely. Quite a classy vibe. The staff are friendly and professional. I'm not sure of other buses you can get from Union Street but I do know that the X17 will go past this place.My friends and I shared crab bon bons which were good. We also had Cullen skink risotto and chicken and chorizo burgers. Overall the food was quite good. Plenty smoked haddock with the risotto and it was tasty (slightly too much herb for me). The chicken and chorizo burger was also quite nice however I wouldn't say worth £12.95.The prices in this restaurant are a bit more expensive than other restaurants in Aberdeen. For that reason I would expect amazing food but wasn't blown away on this occasion, which was a special occasion. I would class our experience as 'good' rather than average or very good.

I visited Dizzy's on Saturday for a girly lunch with friends, my friend suggested Dizzy's as i had never been before. Well i will definitely be back again ! The food choice was great for lunch baked potatoes, soup and a sandwich or fill cooked hot food. I choose the Dizzy beef burger which came with a small pot of chilli and coleslaw and fries. For dessert i had the chocolate brownie which came with ice cream in a brandy basket. My friend who is a vegetarian also enjoyed the food and they had good veggie choices !

I had not been to Dizzy's in years but returned this afternoon for lunch with friends. The food was lovely. I had a vegetarian Dahl and it was so tasty. My friends really enjoyed each of their different main dishes too. We then went onto a choc brownie and salted caramel pudding each. It was a great portion and so indulgent. The service was also really great. Everyone was very friendly and really attentive - the right amount of checking we were okay and leaving us to enjoy our catch up. We all commented that we would definitely be back soon, and would like to come back at night to enjoy the fab bar area too!

Dinner here last night helping a friend spend a gift voucher. Mixed results, fish & chips delicious & excellent value for money; aubergine & chickpea moussaka also delicious n& beautifully presented, but a tad over-priced for a veggie main course; chilli was bland, & aside from a small slice each of red & green chilli on the top of the serving, did not represent chilli in any way - & was pretty much a starter portion for a main course price. The chilli issue was pointed out to our server, who said she would let the chef know, but we heard nothing further from either person. Service was friendly & efficient, but the ever present response of "no problem" to everything is always a problem for me! An extra bowl of fries cost £2.95 & the soft drinks prices, of course, were ridiculous. Believe the restaurant has changed hands since our last visit (my review of which was entitled "Wouldn't rush back", but for different reasons) but I think yesterday's experience has confirmed that yes, indeed, it's now off our list for good.

Second time I've visited and found on both occasions the food quality is good. Served quickly and good selection

A gaggle of ladies of a certain age went to Dizzy's to celebrate a friends birthday. Our table was ready for us on time and the waiting staff attentively yet discretely ensured we had drinks and menus in moments. The menu uses a good variety of Scottish produce combining it in dishes that enhance the ingredients without fiddling too much. It is best known for its steaks which seems to be the meal of choice for most Aberdonians although unlike many of the pricier establishments this is good quality beef cooked perfectly with excellent accompaniments yet does't break the bank. The wine list has a broad choice of quality wines and is reasonably priced. I had the North Sea Cod as I prefer to have something I wouldn't cook myself at home and lets face it, good steak being abundant in Aberdeen and not that tricky to cook I do like to go somewhere that offers more than this ubiquitous dish. The cod was beautifully cooked with lovely veg and a perfectly seasoned sauce, it was served at an optimum temperature (something that I'm fussy about) and my only complaint would be that it was in a stack, why do chefs put food that requires cutting in a pile?? I didn't feel like a pudding but fancied a decaf affogato (vanilla ice cream with coffee poured over) and the restaurant kindly obliged. We drank a lovely un-oaked Chardonnay which matched its description in the list. The service was jovial polite and efficient throughout and were pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end of the meal! We all had a great evening. I even felt sufficiently well fuelled to go on to dance the night away at a handy night club.

Went to Dizzy's for lunch with my wife and daughter. We have been to the place quite a few times before so we pretty much knew what to expect. We just had a light lunch, baked potatoes for my wife and I and our daughter had a toasted sandwich. Really nice place to visit and would recommend.

I'm always pleased with the quality of food at Dizzys. Nice setting and reasonably close to the city. The menu is provides a mixture of dishes, such as steak, fish or vegetarian. Staff are friendly and polite.

I had a lovely Christmas night out with my work colleagues, could not fault a thing with meal. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would highly recommend.

I have been to Dizzy's a number of times both in larger and smaller groups, lunch and dinner, and have never been disappointed. My dietary requirements never seam to be a problem, giving me a range of choices. I always feel well catered for and my food always impresses the others I am with. The service is always excellent. Friendly and well versed staff. Especially management. It's hidden gem is it's cocktail menu. Highly recommend the Orchard Fizz. Delicious.
