Diyarbakir Restaurant in Haringey

Great experience after having a birthday even there recently. Staff were good, food was great. The place has been refurbished unlike the pictures shown on Google maps. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Substandard. The chicken pieces were like wood, dry and tough. The veg consisted of half a grilled watery tomato and a hardly grilled, mostly raw chilli pepper. The salad tasted old, prepped up with lots of sour vinegary dressing, the chilli sauce was in fact chilli flavoured water, the yoghurt that came with the stale warmed up bread was sour tasting and so was the ayran. Nothing tasted fresh. The restaurant was not well visited and I had to remind the waitress for my drink. It as also above average expensive. You get better food at any Kebap shop at 4am anywhere in London. I can’t see them competing with the neinouring restaurants for long. For me, never again!!!

Way below average experience, restaurant was barely busy and our meals arrived 25 mins apart and when they did, rice was cold, lamb doner didn’t taste of anything special. Lahmacun tasted strange and was also cold. Even the basics like chips were sent back cause they looked and tasted old. Salad for free was the best thing of the night and also arrived during our main course! I wish I had something positive to say from my experience but this restaurant unfortunately has a lot of work to do to improve its service and food.

Best Turkish in north London ♥️

Amazing service, very friendly and attentive; Mustafa, the best host. Starters and mains are generous and very well cooked. From the restaurants in Green Lanes, this is by far my favourite.

Unfortunately when u ask for more bread staff was taking piss or make fun of u saying are u have bread with bread as lunch hasn't finished disrespect ..😡 Adana kebab was disgusting 🤮

By visiting turkey quite frequently, I can say directly this is not representing a quality turkish food. Meet was very law quality, I could not even cut it with my knife. Rice was tasteless. Even tea was dark and tasteless.

I had a cocktail and it was super delicious. They do very good gözleme and işkembe soup too. Highly recommended.

The food was lovely, staff is very friendly. The restaurant is very pleasant. I would recommend this restaurant. We didn't know until the last as we were leaving that is was there second night of opening. We would definitely go again. We wish them good luck for the future.

Facing a limited late-night menu at Diyarbakir was a downside, especially for vegetarians. Though I appreciated the flexibility to customize my wrap with falafels and halloumi, the overall experience fell slightly short of my expectations. Room for improvement, but still an okay choice. Wrap was nothing special. Ayran was good (packaged so again nothing special)

The quality of their food is not bad, but it is very expensive. The menu price is different from the final price. The food I ordered was 54£, but I paid 68£. I don't know why.

tasty lunch on a budget. not a romantic place really (go for a Diyarbakir Kitchen a 100 meters to the north for it) but the service is fast and the food is delicious The perfect lunch for me is olives, bread, shakshuka and tea. That set here is only £10!

Went here with the family ( 5 adults ) really nice place , nice food , nice staff , good vibe . We didn’t order loads , bill was £165 for 5 of us . Not the cheapest place on Green Lanes but it was a good experience.

Delicious Turkish food and I've been to MANY! Excellent service as it's fast and friendly. A must go and worth the travel. The price is extremely affordable as it's based on North London and not central London prices.

I looked online to find the best Turkish food in London and concluded that this might be it. I was right! So worth traveling from South London for. SARMA VEGGIE BEYTI Fried vegetables wrapped in lavash bread with cheese, grilled over charcoal, topped with special tomato sauce with finely burned butter & yoghurt This is best vegetarian dish I've tasted in years. YOĞURTLU ADANA Grilled lean, tender minced lamb, skewered chopped on a bed of cube cut bread, topped with special tomato sauce, strained yogurt & finely burned butter sauce The burnt butter in this was wild! It felt like I was eating Michelin star food. The staff were lovely. Efes draft was great. It's expanding soon. Fantastic.

Came on a hunt for a good Turkish meal on this road and came across this unassuming place which wasn't pretentious like the dolled-up places nearby. The stews in the window looked so good and opted for a half/half - lamb with potato and lamb with aubergine. Came with a good mound of pilav and beautifully dressed salad; pickles and warm bread. It was so delicious, that I wanted to replicate the meal when I got home (not half as good). Shall be back. Price was only £11.50 for a large portion!

The rice of "meat moussaka" was oily and the bread as well, but the moussaka was delicious. We asked for a hot&cool mezze platter and it was enough for three people. Efes draft was very good, we really liked us. Next time I would like to try the lamp liver 😋

Just another industrial scale eatery bringing bad name to turkish cuisine. They are big chain and the qquality of food is terrible as is mass manufactured. staff is ill-mannered and arrogant. portions are samll. The ingredients are not fresh at all and there are much better small turkish places on green lane inbetween turnpike lane anand manor house station that offer more value for money, beter food and service.

Food is alright, but extremely overpriced for its quality. The place feels as if it is managed by bad-mannered people. Staff is rude, pushy and not transparent with customers. That's our experience, won't be coming back.

One of the best Turkish joints in London. The platters are decently priced! Update: I recently had a terrible experience here. The food was good but the service was very poor. And they insisted and pressured us to tip them! Won’t be coming here again.

Excellent quality food with great sides and fabulous kebabs. The yogurtlu kuzu sis tasted fantastic. You can really tell the quality of the meat is right up there. Service was average. Had to dock a star as I felt some of the prices are over inflated for what it is. Especially the sucuk lahmacun, at £16 it's definitely not worth that price, it tasted good regardless so no other complaints from me. Overall a job well done and I'll be back to try more of the food!

This restaurant is located in a very central area and has a spacious layout. The portion sizes were quite generous. I tried the 'Yogurtlu Adana' for the first time. The sauce was a bit lot, but it was tasty. The waiter was very polite, and the service was quick. I cant comment on the chicken as I don't eat chicken, but my friend enjoyed them.

I had some guests over from Pakistan and I wanted to give them the best Turkish experience possible and so behold these lot didn’t disappoint. The entry with a nice welcome Then ordering the food 🥘 Starters & Salad with the Fresh Turkish Bread 🥖 The Full Platter with Lamacun All fresh and delicious. Great Great Service and an overall great experience making sure that we come again. My sister said that the next time we come here to London we must eat here again so a massive 10/10 from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Definitely won't be going back there again. Mantı didn't have the home made taste. It was like brought from the shop and quick boil, dish out with garlic yoghurt, Definitely not worth £20. Lahmacun; might as well buy from the shop and stick it in the oven. Platter was ok. Rice was oily and Adana kebab was burnt one side as they tried to cover it by putting upside down.

If I could give no stars I would. Food was off tasting like it was old , it smelt funny . The customer service was actually vile I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. One of the waitresses was constantly giving us dirty looks and speaking about us in Turkish (which we understood) don’t waste you’re time or money here I will never come again

Avoid at all costs!!! Second time they messed up my take away order,I got something completely different.. no receipt given of course. My fault of going back….When phoned them they pretended that they don’t speak English, the line’s breaking. dodgy…

they gave us a wrong takeaway without receipt and the lady pretending she doesn’t understand english and lying about everything!

My friend and I went for lunch today at noon. The catering was very good, but the behavior shown to us inside was very rude, for example, when we asked why it was very cold inside, we were rudely answered. When we wanted to order, the employees were saying to each other, you go, no, you go. When I said to the waiter friend that I don't want rice instead of fries when I ordered, he told me very sternly that I had to pay extra for it, as if I said I wouldn't pay for it. I couldn't remain indifferent to the treatment I received, so I said cancel my order and left, we just got a stern "OK" answer. While leaving, I verbally said that the employees should be more polite and we left. I don't think I will ever visit again👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

If you want to experience a real Turkish doner, I recommend you to eat lamb doner. Portions are quite satisfying, even your food can stay on your plate. restaurant staff are very polite and very interested.

BEWARE WITH THESE GUYS THEY SELL OFF MEAT!!! Please don't confuse this with Diyarbakir Kitchen, This is a different place. Usually have been going here for the past few months but recently not impressed. During the summer they had also given me meat which was off however benefit of the doubt as it was really hot. Today in Jan cold period, still entire platter was off ( All the Lamb Meat was off and tasted funny) when requested a manager no one was present, only staff tried to say all meat is in fridge etc but wouldn't take accountability. Ruined my event and will not be returning even for takeaway, Please beware guys

Hot and cold meze was absolutely rip off and inedible. £17 in the bin. Chicken doner was ok, but not worth the price. Over all not worth it.

Pictures on the menu would've been easier for us to know what we were ordering. My chair had crumbs on it, but it was cleaned immediately. The waiting staff were very kind and the food was delicious. They gave very generous portions and the bread was good quality. The hot and cold meze was very nice, especially the calamari rings; we highly recommend it. The salad dressing was also extremely nice. Overall great experience.

This place rips people off by pretending not to understand their orders and then charging for things not asked for. Ended up paying £20 for one kebab when we only asked for one! No money given back because of the error. Do not go here

Mine and my husbands favourite Turkish restaurant. The food is authentic, portions are generous, pricing is good and staff are mostly friendly. I've tried multiple things on their menu and they've never failed to please us.

Loud uncomfortable setting, everybody packed closely together, no privacy and just filled with loud irritating people Turkish tea not listed on the menu and was the only thing I wanted, also never served the Turkish tea in a jug so I can refill myself instead of calling the waiter over 1,000,001 times for another tea…. The bread tasted smoky… Almost tobaccoey…. And the food was served on like 20 different plates so the table was filled with plates full of weird food when you could’ve just put a bunch of stuff on one plate and let me eat my food in peace, a completely horrid experience one out of five would never visit again, I got home and cried twice I was so sad…

Over the years I have been to many many Turkish restaurants and never have had bad experience until I had dinner at this restaurant. Knew something was off when we walked in and saw no one eating in the restaurant. Was a bit annoyed with the waiter, was standing next to the table as soon as we sat down- probably heard me saying to my friends that we should go to another place- felt as if he was pressuring us to order. Bread for the Houmous arrived about 10 minutes after putting on table- by that time we had finished the Houmous. Lamachun was Not fresh, very soggy with hardly any meat on top, looks like they made it a few days before and warmed in a microwave. We ordered a mix grill for 4, and I have to say it was one of the worst mix grill I have ever had- been to so many Turkish restaurants and have never left over food, I would say there was more than half remaining on the platter, didn’t even pack it up to take home as the food was horrible. The meat was very dry in particular the Chicken shish. The food was really salty and most of us had a bit of a headache driving home. The doner meat was hard and bland and seemed to have a lot of Fat rather than the meat. The only positive was the Chips- well they got 1 out of 2 portions cooked well as the other was over cooked. Have eaten at so many Turkish restaurants such as Gokyuzu, Capitals, Kervan, Devran etc and this experience was one of the worst ever. Can say I will never go to this place again. Paid over £100 for this experience- trust me, spend your money at other places. Please note, a lot of the reviews here might be for Diyarbakir Kitchen down the road as they have same name, as some of the picture here are from that shop- wish I had gone there as I walked in there by mistake.
