Dixy in Nottingham

Over charged me by £6 pounds Wich he then gave back then he said he was going to give me six wings and charged me for 5 and then I looked in my box and he’s gave me 3… will not be going back!!!!!

Ordered a mini fillet burger and wings as ali suggested, it was cooked perfectly and great customer service from him. Thank you

the chicken was raw, the lettuce was out of date and the bun was mouldy the staff stared at us whilst we ate and the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it opened two of my friends got food poisoning from here - DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HATE YOURSELF

Now I understand why the restaurant is called DIXY CHICKEN, i enjoyed every bite of the chicken I ordered... totally worth it

Ive Just ordered wrap meal inside the shop super dirty and the on the food I found hair really disgusting don’t order from here it’s really bad I feel sick

The chicken looked really good as they had a nice colour and was crispy, the issue is when I bit into it, the chicken was not fresh at all it like they cooked it a few days ago and had them sitting there, quite disappointing. The fries are just basic and cheap

Bad chicken with a sour taste chicken you can instantly feel the difference when you eat bad chicken compared to when you eat a delicious chicken piece. Chicken soggy, oily, hard to eat actually you feel like eating sour biscuit Avoid this take away dont waste your money this take away should close

This is the worst chicken shop in Nottingham. The place served me old chicken doused in sauce to cover the fact it’s dry and old but it was still awful. No edible. Save your money. £20 wasted. Go KFC

What can I say, Its bossman. Hygiene is alittle questionable but you going dixy as you like living life alittle dangerously.

I had the 10 chicken spicy chicken wings, everyone had broken bones. There was more batter than actual chicken. Had food poisoning the entire day after!

Not perfect, but staff friendly, and good value for money.

So stingy saying only 1 tissue per customer, only 1 sauce when sign says I'm allowed two. Also robbed my 50p, 12 wings £4.50 and took £5 and didn't return my change he pretended he was busy with another customer when clearly he was avoiding me to keep the 50p. Cheap guy

We absolutely love this place was ordering regular atleast once a week when the food is good it's so good but the past 3 times we have ordered the foods arrived cold soggy and doesn't taste fresh at all tastes reheated really disappointing as was our absolute favorite for late night food

We always stop off here to get the kids some food if we are hitting one of the lovely Caribbean takeaways in radford or one of the noodle bars in Nottingham. It never disappoints. Kids really enjoy it here

Got the fillet burger + 3 wings + chips + drink + side for £6 deal. Good price and fast service. Burger was alright not enough mayo but the fillet was boring. No flavour in that breading at all very boring. Burger bun top piece was grilled for some reason on the top making it flattened. So it was a flat burger Wings. Most important part. Generously breaded but damn the meat was tough it was a challenge eating those wings. They should be tender and moist instead they were tough. The breading wasnt crispy it was hardened like tough and not tasty. Chips were disappointing they werent crispy just kind of old. In retrospect they were probably sitting out for awhile losing freshness. They weren’t mcdonalds noncrispy where theyre still moist and flavoursome they were just not good. Coleslaw as a side Standard ok portion size and fresh Customer service 10/10 I’m not coming back to Dixys im going to find better wings elsewhere. Price ✅Service and speed✅Food💬

Wings are disgusting. Look like they’ve been chewed already and broken bones. Can’t be charging people for this - the oil is cheap quality and when ordering a zinger burger, they simply put strips into the bun and gave it like that. Good job I use justeat to be able to request a refund. Worse chicken place in Nottingham - probably the whole of the Uk, and it’s got worse over the years. Was a good shop when it first opened from the old Texas chicken. Became the worst in Nottingham

this is my honest opinion, we ordered at eight and got our food around ten, the poor guy who was delivering only had our food for twenty minutes so it wasn't his fault. When we called, they said the delivery guy was close but it took another twenty minutes for him to get here. After receiving the food, everything was cold, the chips were stale- barely any chicken compared to other restaurants, very expensive for the amount of food we got. The burger was okay but everything else dragged it down. I will never purchase anything from here every again. very disappointing..? fix yourself please

Ok where do I start, first the food took 2 hours and the chips were cold and hard like cardboard second the chicken wings were uncooked and obviously cold and the burger was mushy and was falling apart, the guy couldn't even hear our order properly, never ordering again WASTE OF £25 FOR 4 PEOPLE

The chicken was dry, also chips wasn’t fresh it felt like it’s been heated multiple times.

Food was overall very dry. Chicken pieces massively over salted. Chicken wings crispy and nicely spiced, reasonable chicken burger.

I placed a order online as 10% discount was offered did not get the discount paid full price. Was unable to use my loyalty points, on arrival they told me that they didn’t have a specific item so decided to replace it without asking (with something I don’t eat) no phone call to ask 1st, when questioned OWNER about loyalty points and discount he was not interested at all and laughed it off like it’s a joke say oh the website must need updating Totally unprofessional and getting worse was ordering regularly will definitely not be ordering again Anyone thinking if they order line they will get discount or be able to use points forget as that won’t happen

It's pot luck to the type of food that is delivered. Sometimes it is very good, sometimes it is stale and very poor and the same with the service. Sometimes they are friendly and sometimes very rude.

Check your food before you leave. Make sure you have everything you paid for.

Food not as good as other Dixy restaurants in the local area and delivery is slow, most times exceeding 1.5 hours after ordering. Update 2021: still awaiting the order I made 3 years ago... I'm starting to think it may never come.

Nice staff, and satisfactory chicken.

Here you can pretty much eat a cheaper version of KFC and the staff is friendly but the place itself is pretty dirty. It's not only the floor and the tables but also the food trays which are really dirty. I also have to mention that in order to get to the toilet you need to get through a storage room or something like that. The takeaway service is really useful tho so I'm sure they can do better with their interior in the future

The Arab delivery driver is rude and the staff seem to be deaf as they always get the order wrong! Called the takeaway 36 times as it says line is busy and I know they do it on purpose as it is not the first time. I was along time customer who will no longer order from this restaurant!

Chicken legs are very greasy but the chicken thighs are very dry but they are big portions and worth the money on all the deals. A keeper version of KFC

Food and prices are pretty good. The only thing that lets it down is the mediocre service from the two old guys who work there. They should probably get some staff in. It's also a bit shabby and not well maintained. Thank goodness the food is cooked at high temperature!

Got food poisoning from this place, burger was dripping with oil, waited 30 mins for “fresh chicken” Asked to use the toilets where I found snails and no tissue paper in the toilet. Avoid this place if u don’t want to get ill.

Food was warm although a little soggy due to the condensation from the soda. It tasted good but the burger buns could have been better having had the same meal at a different location and the chicken sizzlers were dry, hard and had too much coating.

It seems some branches are better than others. This one seems not to change their cooking oil as often, resulting in that 'old oil's smell and doggie fries. Shame, the one on Mansfield Road is great.

Very nice chicken as always. Fairly small pieces, masked with loads of chips! I had the two piece meal. It was supposed to be £3.39 but he decided to round it up to £3.40, claiming he didn't have any pennies. If the menu had simply said £3.40 that would have been fine. The fact that it said £3.39 but I was charged £3.40 left me feeling slightly aggrieved, hence the reduced score.

Paid for a garlic mayo didn't get that in my order, no salt provided which is just a basic of any fast-food takeaway. Also paid for some chilli sauce sachet which really should be free, we thought it was going to be proper tubs but were mistaken.

love dixy chicken!! by far the best chicken!! sometimes come late but I expect that on a weekend. my pop was forgotten last time so they added an extra bottle. awesome service!
