Diamond Inn Resturant in East Ayrshire

Some time ago I had a takeaway. I thought it’s been along time so they must have changed. Well it hasn’t. I had hot and sour soup. It was basically a bowl of dark soy sauce with a hint of vinegar but definitely no chillies or anything like spicy hot. 2 very expensive spring rolls,very greasy with rubbery pastry. Then I went on to sweet & sour chicken Cantonese style. This was chewy and never had stringy chicken before. Well after this never ever again. Star rating ZERO.

Second time trying this place and wont be back seems to have good reviews and i dont know why the food is very tasteless and it was not the cheapest phoned to let them know and they offered a replacement meal but just went in on the way home passing by not local enough for a replacement meal

Second time we have ordered takeaway from diamond inn, first time asked specifically for no veg or bean sprouts in noodles, came with all bean sprouts and veg in. Never phoned or complained this time as can understand mistakes happen. However, second time again asked specifically for no beansprouts or veg in noodles and clearly clarified this on the phone. Again turned up full of veg and bean sprouts, phoned up to make them aware as they just go in bin and a complete waste. Was told they could bring a replacement and take the other one back, not very much use on a busy Saturday night as would be left too long. So just left it and put noodles in the bin. Won’t be using again as it seems it is too much hassle to cater to customer individual requirements, despite clarifying the issue when ordering a few times.

Beef like rubber some things never change the same the last time I was there I don’t know if it’s a new cook or a better beef supplier they need this restaurant has went so downhill in recent years used to be best Chinese in the district not now not even close their beef dishes are terrible

One of our regular eating places, lovely, reasonably priced food and terrific service as always! A hit every time!

Went here today for set menu lunch.Fantastic choice excellent service and value for money.Huge portions I could only manage 2 waitresses couldn’t do enough to make our experience more welcoming.Defo be back for set menu

Just home from an excellent meal at the Diamond Inn. There were 6 of us and we had the set menu for 4 and added to it and changed some things. The food was of the highest standard and delicious. The service was first class too and the owners are just so friendly and welcoming, spending time chatting with customers. We have not been for a few years but will definitely be back soon. We would highly recommend it.

Family celebration the decor of the restaurant is i little dated but the food is not . Sizzling plates of steak and chicken .chicken noodle soup even my wife enjoyed her meal and shes not a fan of Chinese food price was reasonable to

Excellent food to take away. Busy in a Saturday night. Also has a sit in restaurant but I've not tried that

This restaurant does take away meals as well. Unfortunately,had I been in the restaurant I would have sent the meal back. This was our first time eating food here and it will defiantly be our last. The reviews do not represent the food we had perhaps it was just a bad night. Sorry to offer this poor review.

My husband & I visited Cindy & her staff on Friday night at the diamond inn in auchinleck. I can highly recommend the whole experience to anyone who wants a Chinese meal. The food was superb - we couldn’t fault anything. Staff were professional, polite & nothing was a problem. I can highly recommend the smoked shredded chicken - it is fantastic. We have been customers for many years & will continue to support this lovely family run business - they certainly deserve it. Thank you Cindy & staff for a lovely meal

We were back home to visit parents and called in for a meal. Still by far the best Chinese restaurant for miles.

Haven’t been here for years so decided we would try it out just after the new year holidays. The food we got was really cold and soggy. It was a shame as I had gotten takeaway from here a few week prior at work and everything was spot on. This time was different it was if it was sweating in the container and had been left to get cold

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten in. Staff brilliant, food tremendous and not at all expensive

Have dined here several times and the food is always first class.Their crispy smoked chicken is an excellent starter.The staff are very good and quick to serve you.

Was just passing but and got recommended to go hear. It's the Best chines I've ever had and I've been to loads of chines up and down the country! And massive potions size for the money! The chicken pieces in the dishes was huge in size. I really am happy I came hear. Great food

I had heard the Diamond Inn was very good so decided to try it for a mid week takeaway and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. The smoked shredded chicken is the best I've ever tasted. Will definitely be back soon

once again been to diamond inn got beef thats as chewie as rubber when are they going to get a chef that can cook beef thats a couple of years now used to be best restaurant in town so disappointing every time i order a beef dish

Nunca había estado aquí antes. Parado con amigos después de un largo viaje desde el norte de Escocia. El menú de la cena temprano era una excelente relación calidad-precio. Y ofreció una muy buena elección. El servicio era bueno, como la calidad de la comida. Sin duda nos alojaremos de nuevo allí.

Business lunch and early evening special menu has a great choice and good sized portions. The smoked shredded chicken and pan pan chicken starters are amazing. Great food in a local restaurant.

Me encanta la comida china y el Diamond inn es por lejos la mejor comida para llevar restaurante chino/por aquí! El ahumado de pollo desmenuzada es única a otros lugares y absolutamente deliciosa. El menú del almuerzo y principios menú dan una gran variedad de alimentos y a precios razonables. El personal siempre atento y los dueños te hacen sentir bienvenido y conversar con usted.

The restaurant was busy and we had booked thankfully. We did not wait long for our food and the staff were very good. The food was great and plentiful. Another successful visit!

I have visited the diamond inn many times usually for the lunch menu. Food is always so good and fresh. Staff are friendly. Lunch menu is good value for money

We had a fantastic waitress who was very attentive she couldn't have done enough for us . Cindy the owner was also about the restaurant asking if we enjoyed the food which we did . Meal a great price and tasty very clean. Again thanks to the waitress. A two course lunch with drinks only £19.70

Wow did i really pay that much.....The food is okay regular chinese but for the price you pay i would expect more than a restaurant that is clearly trapped in the 80's. Tight and cramped and thats just the fishtank. Ok for a takeaway but i wouldnt pay to dine in.

I visit this restaurants frequently and find the owner a very social able person and care for her customers good quality meals and service very quick

Can always be relied upon for quality and taste. I have been a regular customer for the past few years and is one of my favorite chinease resturants.

Been here on a trip before and the owners still remembered me. Food was as good as the last time. Supposedly the restaurant has been there for the the last 40 years and run by the same family. Keep on doing good business..

I've been going to this restaurant for over25 years,and can say I've never had a bad meal,their smoked shredded chicken is a must.

Don't be put off by the terrible 90's decor. The food is lovely. Decent portions and friendly service. Restaurant itself could do with a bit of a facelift.

Food always amazing and would highly recommend to anyone. Special menu available 5-8pm Mon-Thur and great value for 3 courses. Jenny is a delight at service. But all staff really are fantastic.

This is our favourite local take-away! We have tried numerous dishes from this restaurant’s menu and they are always of excellent standard, not a bad one to be had. Our recommended dishes are Smoked Shredded Chicken and Pan Pan Chicken.If you are in the area this is a must try!

The best Chinese in our local area for sit in and take away!Smoked shredded chicken is amazing to start.Tried various dishes but my favourite it sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style. The curry and beef with ginger are excellent to.Worth a visit! Early evening through the week and lunch menu are great value for money with descent portions.

Yet another faultless visit with great food and friendly staff! The food was served quickly and the portions were big. Reasonable price as well.

Same owners for over 30yrs, best in the area and always happy to accommodate request to suit the occasion.

The diamond Inn is great whether it is a take away or sitting in. Staff are friendly and the food is always good and quickly served. Also good value for money. I think the restaurant could be doing with being updated but doesn't put me off at all

Usually go here for the lunchtime special which is good quality at a fair price. Pan pan chicken is very good as is the smoke shredded.

I have never had a bad meal from here and even though I can be full I still want more from here especially on a lazy Sunday when watching movies with my family or catching up with old friends.

I have eaten here a number of times before and have never been disappointed. We tend to opt for the "leave it to us feast", the starters are always a winner, aromatic duck running a close second. Cindy and her staff are always very welcoming and do everything they can to ensure you have a great evening.

I'm not a great Chinese food fan [my husband likes it, but I but used to love the Szechuan Chicken [my favourite] but it got very unpredicatable. However I decided to try it again last week and Wow! it was delicious. Got it again tonight and was just as good as the other night. Don't know what's happened but will be back for more.Staff in restaurant lovely too.

I've been going to the Diamond Inn since it opened many years ago. The food is delicious and service is ways with a smile. They know their customers well because so many come back again and again. Would recommend smoked shredded chicken, aromatic duck and toffee apples.

My family and I use this restaurant on a regular basis. We tend to order takeaway more than we dine in.The staff are friendly and welcoming.My particular favourite dish is the Salt and Pepper Chicken which is an appetizer but large enough to be a main if ordered with rice. The Thai Chicken Satay is also delicious.Look out for their lunch offers and pre theatre deals which offer excellent value for money.

Being local i use Diamond Inn in Auchinleck on a regular basis whether it be sitting in or carrying out. The foods is always of a high standard very tasty and a reasonable price. i would definately recommend this restaurant'
