Di Maggio's - South Side in Glasgow City

My husband and myself ate at Di Maggios o 17th Dec 21... weekend away. I have never in a long time enjoyed a lovely meal like I had , the food was amazing full of flavour and presented well. The staff where lovely, intentive and very polite... Would recommend very highly.. Your sea bass was fabulous.. Thank you all so much. Keep up the good work ... see you all end of march .

Great Italian food at a great price

The pizza is honestly so soaked in grease I can't even describe it. The box has puddles, not a slight touch, but puddles of grease around the pizza. The pizza is somehow tasteless and the veggies on it are oily as hell. It's such a confusing mess up but I won't be ordering from here again.

Great take away , delivery famtastick food

Pizza DOC is the best. Pazza is such a unique and tasty choice.

The pasta dishes are really tasty. Spag bol, carbonara, lasagne, rigatoni are all delicious with sauce rich in flavour. Steaks are great. Ying Yang chicken is good as are the burgers. The pizza is a mixed bag - the pizza sauce has a herby flavour and the cheese could be a bit tastier but the quality of the toppings is very high.

Ordered quite a few pastas pizza etc .. honestly , not worth money , Luke warm And below average .. disappointing

Brilliant! It was really easy to order and pay online. We picked a time slot and it was ready when they said it would be. The food was lovely. Best takeaway pizza that I've had in a long time. And the price was very reasonable too. I think we've found a new favourite!

Ordered the chicken wings and two pizzas. The chicken wings came with a blue cheese dressing which was glutinous and didn’t taste of blue cheese. The wings were ok. The Cajun chicken pizza was so salty I couldn’t eat it and the calzone was so much crust and not enough filling. No choice for the thickness of the pizza base so they were both very thick. All in all a disappointing meal and waste of money. Will not be buying from DiMaggios again.

I went with a good friend to Di Maggio 's tonight for a meal which we both very much enjoyed. The Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious also. I would happily recommend it to anyone. Calum Grant.

We booked on a groupon for 10 pounds as I was visiting my friend and we wanted to have dinner out and catch up........excellent choice with many choices of starters and mains, and friendly waiting staff. Lovely food. WIll return.

Visitamos aquí en un especial de 5 pm con comida de 3 platos para 10 cada uno y quedamos gratamente sorprendidos con la elección del menú que incluía 5 entrantes, variedad de pizzas y platos de pasta, y 99 helados o café. Compartimos una pizza y una lasaña para el plato principal y comimos mozzarella frita y alitas de pollo como entrantes. Mis alitas de pollo eran abundantes, pero la salsa a base de tomate era un poco abrumadora. Teníamos una botella de vino tinto para acompañar la comida a un precio de 16.En general, una visita que vale la pena, especialmente si puede obtener un acuerdo de Internet.

The food was ok but the staff were clearly disinterested and not on the ball. I don't need you to jump through hoops, but having to ask 3 times for the bill after being left unattended for 40 mins just made me feel like we were an annoyance. Maybe I'll try again and this was just an off day.

Nice restaurant in the prime location of town. Food is very tasty and staff is quite good. They get realy busy in the afternoon so you might have to wait for your turn for the order. But worth going as food is very good.

Went to restaurant last night, we were seated quickly by an older gentleman. He was not welcoming at all, we then waited for 15 minutes before a girl came and asked if we wanted to order. I said to her , we waited 15 minutes to order drinks , it’s not acceptable. I said I was just about to leave, she replied, well that’s up to you! At that point we left. Absolute disgrace, will definitely not be going back to this restaurant. . This could have been handle a lot better.

Food was mediocre nothing special at all, service was pathetic, not sure on the names of staff but young man with ‘man bun’ had a severe attitude problem and lacked training as was unsure of menu choices. Members of staff didn’t provide us with fresh napkins after first course, when asked to provide us with a fresh drink as it tasted like soda water the guy took the drink without asking what to change it to and quite frankly didn’t seem to care, almost felt like I was pestering the staff when asking for something as simple as a straw. When leaving the restaurant the staff stood at the bar and watched us leave without as much as as a smile or a goodbye. Will not be back. 2 stars due to the cocktail being decent

Just had a delivery from these lads and seriously, that was amazing. Proper restaurant food in our own gaff. Delicious pizza and pasta, absolutely sound delivery guy too. Magic.

We ate here on a Tuesday afternoon, The manager was waiting at the door, but seemed unhappy to seat us, as though we were an inconvenience to him. We looked around, and realised we were the only table. Food was really nice, and the portion sizes were generous. The manager dumped the food on our table and went back to his computer screen (he was browsing on Facebook) we were then ignored for the next 40 minutes until a nice girl came along, cleared our table and brought the bill. She was lovely but not enough to save the experience. We won't be back.

Despite being extremely busy named to fit us in for an hour. Good hot the spot too.

I was in here with the family, 7 of us for lunch on Father's Day. This restaurant never fails, we ordered from the 3 course set menu, food was delicious, arrived promptly, piping hot and good portion sizes, desserts were amazing. As usual the service was great, lovely friendly waiting staff who can't do enough for you. This all added up to a fantastic day with the family, my daughter was up visiting with her boyfriend. Thank you Di'maggio's.

Great little hidden gem. Good food, good service and excellent value for money. The early evening menu offers a good selection a a fixed price. Staff seem happy to help and it's always clean and tidy. We are repeat customers.

The ambience and location of this restaurant is first class and is located at a great spot for people watching. On a warm summers day it does feel ubiquitously Italian. It certainly has that air of authenticity about it, most of the time. I make that caveat as on the odd occasion when I have been in when things are quiet it has taken on more of a Glasweigian vibe--chefs heard swearing in the kitchen., miserable looking staff and food served below the usual high standard which has made the Di Maggios chain something of an institution much loved in this great city. In many ways I suppose the restaurant is quite like the city it hails from: on many visits you have a great experience that will make you yearn to come back; on the odd one it will show an uglier side with poor service, a distinct lack of charm and average quality food. This is why I have opted to give it 4 stars and not 5--if they can improve the consistency of the dining experience, I wouldn't hesitate to rate it as 5 as hen on their game this is one of the nicest Italian restaurants in Glasgow.

Frozen food served in a dirty dining area by miserable staff...what's not to like?

Llevé a mi grupo de comidas, THE SOUTHSIDE DINERS MEETUP, a este popular restaurante de larga data. Me saludó Gordon, el gerente, quien me saludó. . . "¿YA NO ES NAVIDAD? Eso se debe a que nuestra familia de personas que cenaron aquí en la víspera de Navidad ... durante los últimos 30 años. Como era de esperar, la comida, las bebidas y el servicio fueron excelentes. Hubo un problema menor cuando recibimos 2 cócteles de ginebra en lugar de gin tonics. Pero fueron envueltos sin discusión ni queja, en cuestión de minutos. Todos mis invitados disfrutaron la comida y la noche ... y todos estuvieron de acuerdo en que volveremos.

Been coming here for years and never disappoints. Came here with some friends for dinner and we ordered a Vegetarian Pizza, a Ravioli and a Penne Piccante. The portion sizes were good except for the Ravioli. I found this a little odd as the portions are usually quite generous to the point where I can only manage a 2 course. Nevertheless, everybody enjoyed their meal and I found the pizza especially nice, the mushrooms were particularly aromatic with a lovely earthy smell. The mozzarella nice and stringy. The base freshly made, cooked well enough to be firm, but still soft and fluffy. As always the staff are friendly and helpful.

He estado viniendo aquí por años y nunca decepciona. Vine aquí con algunos amigos para la cena y pedimos una pizza vegetariana, un ravioli y un Piccante Penne. Los tamaños de las porciones eran buenos, excepto para los raviolis. Esto me pareció un poco extraño ya que las porciones suelen ser bastante generosas hasta el punto en que solo puedo administrar un curso de 2.Sin embargo, todos disfrutaron de su comida y la pizza me pareció especialmente agradable, los champiñones eran particularmente aromáticos con un encantador olor a tierra. La mozzarella agradable y fibrosa. La base recién hecha, cocinada lo suficientemente bien como para ser firme, pero suave y esponjosa.Como siempre, el personal es amable y servicial.

Very pleasant meal. Whilst we waited on the food (which was pretty good), we we're entertained by a magician. A good to the restaurant routine 👍

Always good atmosphere food nice not great though A good night out

He ordenado de forma intermitente durante al menos 3 años con Di Maggio's. Con el tiempo, enviaron artículos incorrectos (de los que no me he quejado, solo para hacer un punto) y el servicio ha sido en promedio 3 + / 4, tanto en el restaurante como en la entrega. Los repartidores normalmente son muy agradables, la velocidad en 4 + y la calidad de la comida en 3 - 4. Hoy ordené una botella de vino y, cuando el sitio web se congeló, se repartió como era de esperar y se reinició. Todo bien hasta que el repartidor trajo 2 botellas, lo cual estaba bien y pagué, pero me cobraron dos entregas. Así que llamé y pedí que me devolvieran el cargo de envío y me encontré con impaciencia solo para que un repartidor apareciera 10 minutos con mi 2. 5 en monedas. Dado que me cobraron con una tarjeta de débito por una botella y en efectivo en la puerta por otra, si hubiera sido demasiado difícil reembolsarme 2. 5 a través de mi tarjeta? ¿Era necesario este comportamiento pedante? Has perdido un cliente.

Good, welcoming Italian restaurant, but food was not very good - I had mussels to start and they were very variable in size and not very tasty. The main course was a seafood pasta which was pretty tasteless - no herbs or spices and shellfish was again bland in the extreme. Was it fresh? I doubt it.

Something happened to food in Di Maggios. Remember 2 year ago was worth to go with your family and now is not even close to be nice food.

Este restaurante siempre es un buen lugar para comer, buen menú variado, los tamaños de las porciones han cambiado y ahora tal vez son demasiado grandes, de un grupo de 5 solo 2 lograron terminar los entrantes y nadie logró terminar su plato principal.El tamaño de la mesa del personal es agradable y amable, bastante pequeño, teniendo en cuenta el tamaño de los platos que se ponen en la mesa, mi única queja es que, aunque gastamos una cantidad considerable de dinero en la cena y el vino, nos cobraron 95 p extra porque un miembro del grupo Pedimos chiles en su salsa de pasta! de verdad, vamos

First time at this particular location. Friendly staff and quick service. The food was great, ordered a pizza but didn't quite finish it, staff offered to put it in a box for me to take home. Great experience, atmosphere, and staff. Would definitely recommend.

The size of the portions are ample and very filling,I had to finish my wife's pizza after we had a sharing platter.Just a pity that the table for two sizes are very small and we struggled to have the sharing platter , a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses on it without feeling cramped.

Hizo un pedido para su recogida. Llegamos antes de la hora de la recogida y tuvimos que esperar por nuestra comida. Llevar nuestra comida a casa tomó menos de 10 minutos. El Spaghetti Carbonara estaba tibio, no tenía sabor y el pan de ajo tenía 2 rebanadas de lo que parecía ser un orgullo de las madres con aceite de ajo y hierbas pegadas sobre él. (No estaba tostado y no sabía nada como el pan de ajo)

Bueno, la comida era buena (no excelente) como esperaba de esta cadena establecida hace mucho tiempo y supongo que está hecha a pedido porque nos llevó mucho tiempo llegar a nuestros platos principales.

Visité esta noche para celebrar el cumpleaños número 18 de mis hijas, con mi familia, estaba un poco decepcionado porque mencioné el hecho dos veces y ninguno de los miembros del personal parecía estar interesado. La comida era promedio Lasaña un poco pesada pero comestible. Primera visita, pero probablemente no vuelva a intentarlo.

La cadena di maggios ha estado alrededor durante bastante tiempo, pero no he ido por edades. Fuimos dos veces este fin de semana para una comida rápida después de algunos DIY, así que queríamos algo rápido, sano y sabroso.

We have gone to Di Maggios for years and it never fails to deliver. Good food and wine and great service.

Had a lunch with the wife after a very positive hospital appointment, and the positivity continued with the staff in very pleasant mood, and the food was amazing. The hot wings are just right on the heat scale, and keenly priced. We paid 41 for sharing platter and two mains.

Staff were so friendly and attentive. Food was lovely, a great atmosphere and very reasonably priced.

3 for pizzas, 5 for service and 5 for starters.
