Excellent meal. Tried something new tonight, Chicken Murgh Masala, really enjoyed that. Time to venture onto a few other new things.

Food was really nice but it just got delivered 30 minutes late, could be because it was Eid, but yeah food was really nice 😊

There wasn’t much meat in the mixed grill, there was more vegetables

I’ve been coming ere for a few years now, I mainly go n pick my food up, sometimes I get it delivered, this is the second time the popadoms n the food was not fresh. I have left 5 star reviews for DESI before, being honest this 2nd time food was not fresh at all. Unfortunately I won’t be ordering again.

Staff go above and beyond for all customers. The food is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Service and attention to detail is impeccable. Would highly recommend. I have friends who live in various areas in the south east and whenever they visit, they’ll always come to Desi! They think it’s worth the journey up. For a quiet meal or a party vibe it’s all. Can’t praise both the Abzs and Adam but all staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. 10/10!

A disappointing meal in as much as the sauces were thin and lacked flavour. Both meals contained Chicken tikka and the Biryani meat was better tasting and hotter than the tikka Madras. I have eaten there food soo many time and I love it and there service is really good and there two staff called Minhaz , Dilal , Suni and the owner Abdul Bashir, Quddus they are respectful and always love talking to others and they have karaoke if you want to listen to it and they will play your favourite karaoke music if you till them on Friday, Saturday also on Sunday

We 3 had food yesterday. Food wasn’t up to mark as an asian taste but more importantly we all 3 had stomach pains and had to buy medicines. They made Korai in 15 minutes which normally take 45 minutes if its made fresh . Asian people must avoid this restaurant.

So called Indian restaurant where no Indians or Asians can been seen eating. Chicken wings were served uncooked ( not done in a tandoor ). Was served a cider instead of a beer, guess none of the staff drinks to understand alcohol. Goan fish curry on the menu, when asked the waiter does not know what is the base of the curry. This is not an Indian restaurant but a Bengali one. Would not recommend

We ordered a keema rice and a mushroom rise but despite KR being written on one box they were both mushroom. Both rice were cold. Cannot fault meat dishes to be fair. Had to call restaurant as was not received in time given and was told would be another 15 minutes

Definitely the best Indian spot in Grays. We loved the chicken rogan Josh and the saag paneer with the peshwari naan. Highly recommend. They also have an amazing variety of drinks to choose from!

No salt at all in any food item . Tasteless food i got first time in my life.i talked with owner .He said you have extreme salt taste may be.To be honest, I did not get even little bit taste of salt in any food item. I don't want refund but i request to owner kindly make sure all ingredients put by team in all food items. Not just cook food in hurry and disappoint customer with tasteless food nd bad experience.

We ordered it for a specific time because my partner hadn’t finished work until then, so because it was early means he wasn’t home when it was delivered and was cold by the time he got to eat it. So my only complaint would be that it would be great if it was actually delivered at the time stated.

Korma was bland and watery. Jalfrazi was not hot in flavour.

Normally this restaurant is great, today food arrived bearley warm, ordered one naan and one keema naan, both arrived as plain naans cold and sweaty in bag, guess driver made other drops. Sorry not a pleasant meal today.

I have eating Indian food a lot and very familiar with food ingredients .the food was very bland.

The food and service is brilliant here, absolutely loved the lamb shank biryani. A little too much cardamom in the biryani, otherwise excellent food, great service and very polite staff. The place is clean and well priced, not too expensive. Will be coming here again.

I know Indian food is not part of a staple diet but this restaurant really took the p**s as my friend found 6 staples in her food. She thought it was a bone and noticed there was 6 staples all linked together as she pulled them out of her mouth, how on earth these got into her food we will never know. When we approached them about this they laughed at us and didn’t take it seriously at all. It was until we had to call the waiter over who took the dish away to confirm there was 6 staples in her food. They agreed for her not to pay for that dish and thought by plying us with a cheap shot that would be suffice. We had to pay for the rest of our meal and we got one cocktail each for free to keep us quiet. I will never go back to this restaurant again and would warn anyone who does. Absolute disgrace

So we arrived and the staff was very friendly and lovely and drinks started flowing and starters etc and we was all enjoying ourself then the karaoke came out and we enjoyed that was well, dinner came out and that was really nice. I’m sitting next to my mum and she said there’s a bone in my dinner and as she has pulled out something from her mouth there was 5 staple guns she told the waiter he didn’t say anything and took it away and made a joke out of it. This is not a funny situation to be laughing about so we called over the manager he made a joke out of it and I said it’s not something you can joke about then he finally took that meal off of the bill but after that happened it really put us off of our food then they told us to take it home, when something like that happens as manager you would need to be serious about it so we was disgusted that no one was taking us seriously we definitely won’t be going back

I normally order from here without any issues but I must say it’s like they changed the chef no flavour in any of my curries quite watery and the potatoe Alo were hard potatoes again no flavour not sure what’s happening but this is very upsetting when I’ve spent a lot on the food

Got a takeaway from here, what a disappointment the food was tasteless, the curries were watery and tasteless, the papadum were soggy and garnish was just very small within a small container, the food was cold, never again

I have ordered 2 different times Not tasty very disappointing.

My family ordered an order of £80 from Desi at 3pm today and it said it would arrive by 4.15-4.30 I called at 5pm and they said the driver was on his way. The driver didn’t arrive until 5.30 (it was a just eat driver) I asked him ‘why is this so late’ he said the kitchen called him back as there was something missing. We got the food and a madras was missing my son’s nuggets and chips were freezing. The nuggets looked like there were two different kinds in there and one lot were literally freezing. I called to speak to the restaurant who said they could either resend the order or organise a voucher but they would send a new lot of the nuggets out for my son. In the moment I said I would accept the nuggets and a voucher but then when I put the phone down my family said they would rather a new meal as they didn’t really want to be microwaving the curry. So I called back and said actually we would like the whole lot redone and sent. In the meantime my family had put their curries in the bin. They sent the just eat driver to come and collect the curries back. My mum at this point was so annoyed as this was meant to be my dads birthday meal and said to the guy it’s in the bin. The restaurant called me back and said that in order for them to resend us fresh food they need the food back. I was trying to say that we can give it back but I can’t organise the curries in the right pots because they are in the bin. And he said that’s the only way they will accept it back. I said it’s not possible. I said I don’t want to have to do this but I’m going to have to write a bad review and one of the guys on the phone aggressively said WELL JUST DO THAT THEN. And slammed the phone down. I called back and spoke to someone who was calmer and it seemed like between Desi and just eat there is a problem. And he eventually agreed that he would resend food. What was meant to be a nice family meal turned into a really stressful event with cold food, some not there and freezing nuggets. My family spend £1200 in that restaurant not long ago for my nieces birthday meal and drinks. We also order takeaways from there but the way this situation was handled today my family and I will not be returning.

Decided to give this a go as has good reviews however I found the food wasn’t great. No flavour on the chicken tikka masala and the rice was very mushy, didn’t taste like Pilau rice. Very bland and wouldn’t recommend or order again.

Gorgeous Pistachio Chicken and lovely Onion bhaji with a couple of vegetable sides rounded off a perfect meal. Superb food and excellent service. Thank you Desi.

Everything was brilliant!!! Everything was how it should be including the cheese naan, had a lot of cheese. To top it off, delivery was estimated for just over an hour, arrived in 35 minutes. Definitely our regular Indian takeaway. Thank you

Nice food, fast delivery, helpful staff

The food was very bland, ordered biryani had no flavour no salt, ordered a jalfrazi curry tastes like can of spicy tomato sauce with dry chicken breast pieces. On the website prices are lower than on the menu in the restaurant also. Drinks too overpriced they give you a soft drink out of a plastic bottle and it is usually warm and flat. Would not recommend and will not return back

Chicken curry was very very oily to be honest didn’t even have the sauce a lot had spilt into bag all food was cold not very nice at all

So disappointed! I have eaten in the restaurant and it was nice enough. However, tonight I spent £60 for me and my boys to have a nice meal. Worst £60 I have ever spent. Ended up in the bin. As soon as I opened my sons Korma, there was a pungent smell. I thought it was me but both my boys started to complain about the smell. The quality and the taste of the chicken was really bad! Never again, I've been craving this all week and I thought I'd try a different takeaway as my favourite Indian doesn't deliver.

Beautiful food. Staff are so friendly and welcoming couldn’t do enough for you. Food was all piping hot and fresh. Great atmosphere and they played music very uplifting throughout enjoyed it. Price was reasonable too we would come again definitely highly recommend beautiful decor also.

Fancied a late night indian and was really looking forward to my takeaway. Got home and was swimming in oil so badly I had to drain it as it was like a puddle on my plate. Probably the 2nd worst indian meal I've ever had. Onion bhajis overdone and just all round disappointing. Will never recommend this place and certainly will never touch it again.

We have just ordered a curry from this restaurant we went there a few months ago and it was absolutely lovely. Takeaway is a complete different experience. Firstly they couldn't get the address or telephone number correct and secondly when I phoned up they said we delivered it 15 minutes ago. Yeah to the wrong address and then I asked them if they will be sending the same food or changing it. They told me they would do fresh and fresh it wasn't warmed up probably in a microwave chicken was very hard water in the curry and to be honest it was the worst curry I've ever tasted in my life. Customer care in this place must be atrocious I will never ever step foot in there or even contemplate getting a takeaway ever again. Desi have lost my custom forever

The Lamb Chops at Desi Indian Dining Club are some of the best I've ever had. They were perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. I also tried their Indian Bread, which was warm and delicious, and their Chicken Tikka Masala, which was creamy and flavorful. The Tandoori King Prawn S was also a standout – the prawns were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Great food and service.

Waited an hour and a half for my food for it to turn up stone cold and sent the wrong rice

I went for the Wednesday offer with the family. We randomly saw the offer as we where walking past and thought lets try it out. The food was amazing 😍😍. I was soo full I skipped breakfast and lunch the next day 😂. Our family Will deffo become regulars here 😁✌️

They tried twice to deliver purchase to Me. Both times, they failed. Food wasn't delivered - first time for Me on Just Eat ; or using any other food delevery grocery delivery service. , in 32 years living in the UK. No worries. They were willing to try a second time. :) Cheers Dinesh

I ordered a veg biryani, a garlic naan and mix veg jalfarezi. Overall it was a good taste and veg biryani was definitely better than many other places.
