Amazing burgers up beat the burgers in steak houses ,always fresh staff are really friendly,great little find would deffo recommend

Glasgow has it's fair share of cows. I have slept with some of them. But the way these guys treat their cows is much more nicer than I ever did. Burgers are outstanding and if John Wayne and Elvis weren't dead or miles from Dennistoun then I'm sure they too would approve.

Ordered a Brisket Burger, when arriving home ready to have our dinner, the brisket burger ended up being a bun with a pile of beef, no salad or cheese which I ordered. We phoned and explained that there was some toppings missing, the member of staff suggested us a « burger on the house », we had to drive back and they didn’t even given us something extra or a refund as an apology. Waste of time. Very disappointed The meat was also very chewy.

Got a pulled pork sandwich and cajun spiced chips. Pork dry and everything stone cold, I like my food warm. Expensive and not worth it

Food is always fantastic in here but I don't know why is called dennistoun bbq when nothing seems to be cooked on a bbq or in a smoker

Visité por primera vez el miércoles por la noche y realmente disfruté de la comida. Tuve la hamburguesa vegana de la abuelita con papas fritas sazonadas y mi compañero tenía el pan de pechuga con un lado de alas muy calientes. Toda la comida era muy sabrosa y las porciones son grandes. Me gusta que ofrecen su menú estándar de hamburguesas con la opción de una empanada vegana. Definitivamente regresaría.

We were directed here by my son who moved to the area recently we live 400 miles away and to be honest it was fantastic good choice of food the seasond fries were out of this world and burgers were amazing 10 out of 10

My friend and I came here for some real Texas style BBQ before heading to a Texas country singers gig as a part of the Celtic Connections. As an American I was not disappointed!! Real authentic flavours. Rich sauces and beautifully seasoned! We had the Smoke Stack Burger with BBQ sauce cheese and onion fries stacked high! And a Pit Beef Brisket Bun topped with slaw. Seasoned fries and Bar-B-Que Beans. We split everything between us and were happy to have done so. Both agreeing the Burger was our favourite! We will definitely be back for more! Want to try the ribs and another burger - next time with bacon! Was really pleased to have our meals accompanied by Root Beer and Cream Soda! A real American treat both in glass bottles - as they should be. The decor was pleasing to the eye as well and I loved the American Flag with only 48 stars. The restaurant doesn't take bookings but the table turnaround is quick so you'll not wait long...and the wait is worth it if you do! Sit in or take away your choice. Wish there was one closer to where I stayed. However am not opposed to driving 45mins into the city to enjoy this again!

Estuve aquí esta noche que valía la pena para mi novio. Teníamos cupones para usar. Tenía el Columbia y se veía increíble, las minas también estaban bien. . Las porciones de patatas fritas eran grandes. Recoge el pedido del mostrador y limpia después de usted. Definitivamente volveré, ya que es barato y simple.

Staff were rude and very unfriendly. Felt like I was spoiling there day being there. Waitress complained we sat at dirty table but it was the only one big enough for us(four) I asked for ice and just told “No”. Didn’t take may name for order so we got it last and cold. Burger was alright, big portions. Definitely no frills and definitely needs staff training. Beware of the red head she is especially poor and extremely rude.

There are frozen burgers, fast food burgers, quality burgers, great burgers but oh joy of joys there are gems like Dennistoun Bar B Que that lifts this most common of foodstuffs on to a level that is equal to any great meal you may have. If you hanker for a Burger and like us this is something that happens rarely then don't waste your time looking elsewhere. The Dennistoun Bar B Que is the real deal. And to top it off service and the ambience is as authentic and fantastic as the food. We loved our visit. And best of all the music was played at a level that meant it wasn't deafening and just low enough to hear, allowing diners the luxury of having a chat or as more likely enjoy sheer bliss of the silence that decends when diners get stuck into the burger.

A decent enough burger (nothing special for the price) but ZERO service and attention. Even McD’s will take your burger to your table but not here. As a first timer, I had to work out that you take your own seat, go get your own menu, head back to the counter to place your order, head back again to pick up your food, be expected to know what burger was what (nothing that’s obvious otherwise), head back to ask for a bill and pay and - the ultimate - be reprimanded for taking your trays back but not knowing there was a specific station. Thought I’d worked a shift and the only thing I wasn’t asked to do was cook the burger! A bit more service may have helped mask what looked and felt like a retrofit kebab shop. Wanted to support a local independent but, sadly, will take my cash to Five Guys. Shame.

Dennistoun Bar B Que has amazing burgers! They can all be done as veggie, and are really great:) They also have plenty gluten free options. All in all, a lovely place.

Best burger I have had in Glasgow. Mac and cheese side and a huge portion of tasty fries. It could not have been better. Well worth finding for a comfort food feast. Not a fancy place but that adds to the experience.

Visited with friends for lunch and we were very impressed with the quality of food. It was melt in the mouth staff were friendly and attentive and price was good as well. If your in the area it’s well worth a visit.

As it says in title, actually popped in before a Celtic game on root to the game, thought I had enough time so got myself a cheese burger, was smashing, talked it up that much, that less than 2 weeks later, took the wife for lunch.

He estado unas cuantas veces y tenía unas cuantas hamburguesas diferentes. Grandes porciones y siempre buenas coberturas pero la empanada en sí puede ser bastante seca. Sin embargo, con la ensalada, los tomates y las salsas se sale con la suya. Sabroso pero un poco seco, todavía he vuelto, así que no me desanime.

Visited on Saturday for the 1st time and we will definitely be back, I'm dairy free and the staff replaced the bun on my beef brisket burger with a dairy free bun and advised on other items containing dairy (coleslaw).

When I visited on a Sunday afternoon the place was very busy so I get that lots of people like it but I just don't get it. A chicken burger, seasoned fries, a coke over £15. You could get three courses on pre theatre at a decent restaurant in Glasgow city centre for that. I don't mind paying if good but the fries are frozen, the chicken was dry and not particularly tasty. It's just ok, I would say slightly above Burger King but well below decent burgers in some other places like bread meets bread.

Saturday night take away was absolutely fantastic pulled pork and ribs amazing worth the trip to pick up. Food is top drawer.

Popped in with a mate, two burgers, seasoned fries and a couple of free cans of Irn-Bru. Excellent quality, great service, £22. Bargain. Will definitely be back.

This place has the best burgers I've ever had. Had every one of them on their menu now and they are all fantastic. Quirky interior as I think it's too look like an old fashioned bbq place in the states, so it's quite cool. Give the place a go.

So disappointed :( Mac n cheese was disgusting, inedible, pasta was overcooked, sauce was greasy, not cheesey at all n tasted like flour and herbs. Brisket was dry and burnt, I actually had to spit a bit out it was so dry n tasteless. Burger also over cooked n dry, onion fries (they're onion rings so why not just call them that?) were tasteless. Really disappointed

It's pretty hard to fault what these guys are doing. Their attitude is right and their food is really good. I do have a couple of wee suggestions though. When taking an order for take out, they could maybe try and write up the name of the customer on a board when it's ready? The person who calls out the completed orders doesn't exactly shout and it's hard to hear over the sizzling burgers, music and chat. (think about those of us who fried our ears clubbing in years past). Also the seasoned fries are amazing but maybe a tad less salt? Otherwise a great place and now a Dennistoun institution!

Visited for lunch and was glad to see everything was cooked to order, wings moist but would prefer sauce on the side, ribs a bit dry but good with the bbq sauce, mac cheese too strong but brisket moist and tasty, onion fries very good too. Burgers looked epic.

I was alerted to this establishment through a close friend so decided to give it a go. My fiancée and i were in the area and decided to pop in for lunch and we were not disappointed.

He estado en Dennistoun BBQ muchas veces a lo largo de los años y puedo decir honestamente que me he ido cada vez con el estómago lleno y una sonrisa en la cara.

Después de ver cómo se publicaba Dennistoun Bar en Instagram y las críticas positivas de Tripadvisor, estábamos muy emocionados de probarlo por nosotros mismos. A las 2 de la tarde de un sábado por la tarde llegamos a la hora exacta, ya que la mayoría de las mesas ya estaban ocupadas y había un gran ambiente ocupado.

Entré en una fría tarde del viernes 4 de enero, tomamos nuestros asientos y miramos el menú. Decidido por 2 hamburguesas y alitas de pollo, debe ordenar en el mostrador y luego se les dijo que no tenían alas, así que optaron por las costillas. ¿Lavado con una botella de fanta de México a 4 por una botella? Piensa que este lugar está tratando de ser como una casa de humo estadounidense con la que la comida tiene que coincidir. Los alrededores son básicos. La puerta de entrada. El lugar abierto está congelado. El orden estuvo listo después de 30 minutos. Las papas fritas cajun son muy picantes, pero las papas fritas no son nada especial. Las hamburguesas son buenas pero las costillas estaban secas y no tenían salsa. En general nada especial se adhieren a cinco chicos.

The ribs were pretty good. Major disappointment regarding the prevalence of gluten which limited the menu pretty much to chicken wings that were over cooked and so a lot of the meat had dried up against skin that appeared to be deep fried more than once. Warning: hot wings are very hot. The array of decadent burgers seems to be the thing to go for here. It’s a really nice, local casual vibe in here with none of the fancy furniture, rubbish food thing that seems to be the trend these days. The staff are also cool.

This place is brilliant. It's basic inside, but who needs a fancy interior when the real star of the show is the food. The burgers are amazing - packed with big flavours and textures; the fries are hot and crispy and full of flavour too. Onion rings were out of this world. It's not the cheapest burger and chips you'll eat in Glasgow, but the burgers are somethings else - you get quality far beyond what you pay.

We went on Saturday around 17.30, ordered and waited around 30 mins - seen our chips being put out and about another 5 mins before burgers were added, resulting in luke-warm chips. They also forgot our sides which we had to go back and ask for. However the worst part was my partner cutting his burger in half to find a long hair belonging to the boy who had been cooking the burgers! When I returned both our burgers the woman apologised (whispering) and offered to refund one burger however both our dinners had been spoiled, she then decided to change her mind and refunded both burgers! We won’t be back sadly!

Moved into the area a few months ago and finally decided to try this place. It’s counter service (same as five guys) so you need to go and collect your food, but that’s fine. The burgers are amazing, I had the carnival which was unbelievably fresh. Could actually see the staff forming the meat patties there and then. Really good range of beer too, mostly American stuff. Fries were great, as was the side of mac and cheese. Would definitely go back, Bali’s for money is 10/10

The burgers are superb and the place smells amazing from the second you get there. I'd recommend the Kinney and fries. The fries portion is excessive but in a good way. When I die fat I'll at least have a big smile on my face.

Honestly this place is the real deal. I’m always sceptical before going when I hear the hype but this just delivered. I decided to go for a jack burger with bacon and seasoned fries, the jack burger is the standard cheese burger. I think you can tell how good a place is by the more standard burgers on the menu, while I enjoy big stackers every now and then, it’s easy to compare and rate when you’ve got a cheeseburger and can taste everything in there.

Finally got round to trying here after hearing so many fantastic thing about it. Went on a Friday lunchtime and it was about half full. The wife and I ordered the Kinney burger and the Hand Pulled Pork bun. Also had onion fries and a side of pit beef brisket. Kinney burger was excellent. Cant fault it in any way as cheeseburgers go. The Pulled Pork bun was maybe the best burger ive ever tasted. Loads of delicious pork. The slaw pulled the whole thing together tho. Stunning to be honest. I'd eat this every day if i could.

Our first try of this place and what an excellent decision to give it a go. Staff were friendly, explained what came on particular burgers. Portion sizes were excellent and great value for money imo. Mac and Cheese was superb as well. Definitely be back!

Love this place - always a real treat. When my parents come through this is the only place they're interested in going! Place can be a bit dark looking and the service is pretty much non existent, but the foods a winner.

I ate here with a friend and we both ordered the Carnival Burger and shared the Seasoned Fries. The burgers were so juicy and tasty. The seasoned fries were also really tasty. I was happy to see Snapple drinks as well as I've only ever had them in America. It's very dineresque decor so don't expect pretty decor etc. it is a burger joint but a good one and I would return again to try some of the other tasty treats on offer.

Omg, the food here is absolutely brilliant! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed! It’s quite unassuming from the outside, could be mistaken for a cinema with its quirky signage. This little gem in Dennistoun is by far better than Five Guys, Handmade Burger Co or GBK in my opinion! Amazing burgers and chips and the Nutella ribs has to be tried! It’s not for everyone but definitely different, I liked them personally! One of the best burger places in Glasgow with lovely staff!

We had bbq ribs which were super smokey and lush, not your typical overly sweet fatty ribs. They were also pre-cut so that made eating easier. The brisket burger was insanely good, fries portions were immense and the beans we got as a side were emotional. Only let down was the onion fries which were a bit bready and not very crispy.

Had a takeout of 2 cheese bacon burgers, a half ribs, mac and cheese and seasoned fries between 3 of us.

Have been here a good few times and have never been disappointed! The veggie burger is phenomenal, and the potato salad is a must try. Staff are always friendly, too.

This is an above average burger restaurant, with omnivores, veggies and vegans all well catered for. I had a vegetarian bacon burger with fries and it was really good.

Me and my boyfriend tried this for the first time a few months ago and we absolutely love it! We used to always go to TGI's etc. but Dennistoun Bar B Que is sooo much better and a lot more unique. The burgers are amazing and such a good size, I love the mac and cheese too. Definitely the best place to go if your looking for a good burger and the prices are amazing too!

Came here on a Sunday unsure of where to go. My boyfriend had been before and said it was 'okay.' I ordered a Granny Boab with seasoned fries. Well what a wonderful surprise. The burger was lovely with the bacon out of this world. The fries were seasoned just right. It was an absolute feast. Definitely up there with a top burger. Wish they had a better explanation of their drinks list as they have all different types of fizzy juices with no idea what they are. Also we had to ask someone to clean out table, which is a bit annoying. Still, decent grub!

We went to the Dennistoun Bar B Que this evening and we loved it.Fantastic meaty burgers in a fantastic bun, this was a real surprise for me. I had no idea that this place existed and I can only say I can't believe what I've been missing. The menu is varied with plenty of options for meat eaters and for vegetarians and vegans and if the quality of the meat burgers is anything to go by, people that want to go meat free are in for a treat.The seasoned chips are lovely and they serve really good quality onion rings as well. On the whole this was a great meal and we will definitely be returning to sample more of the same. I would also like to compliment the staff, who coped very well with the power cut. They didn't panic and continued to prepare and serve all orders that had been taken before the power outage. They are pleasant and were a credit to the establishment.

A group of us were in desperate need for some excellent food and were not disappointed. The fact you can have any burger made from the rage of meat through to veggie and vegan is just the cherry on top of some banging food. I eat anything but often for a thorough vegan option which was super tasty and that vegan bacon! Only bad thing was my burger bun base was solid. Other than that it's my new favourite place. Plus all female staff cooking and serving, legends

Found this when checking out the area. I had a vegan burger and it was amazing. The place was continually busy and everyone seemed to leave happy.Great friendly staff too. I'll be back

Had lunch in here with friends. Went for one of the vegetarian options of their burgers and wasn't disappointed. Excellent quality. Had seasoned fries too which were great. Efficient service from the very friendly staff and an excellent selection of American drinks. Will definitely be returning.

Visited for lunch with family as read reviews and we were not disappointed. All had different burgers from the menu along with sides of Mac and cheese and fries. Cannot praise the quality of food highly enough, absolutely superb. As for the staff, couldn't meet a nicer and more attentive bunch if you tried. Well worth the journey and highly recommend you go as we will certainly be back. Thanks for a great meal and keep up the good work.

Amazing burgers and much cheaper than other places in Glasgow!The chicken is my favourite but I tried the Kinney on this occasion and it was very good as well.Would definitely recommend - I bring all my friends here!

Sat in the restaurant and had to wait over 50 minutes for 2 burgers. Felt very sorry for one staff member (woman with blonde hair and glasses) who clearly knew what was going on and tried to chase up our order a few times and offered us free drinks (and other tables in a similar situation) but it didn't do any good. Told a few times that our burgers were 'next out', but they weren't. There were people waiting for takeaways (including one woman who came in and had a taxi sitting waiting outside - I dread to think what that cost her). Either explain to people that you're backed up with orders and don't take any more for a while, or expect your business to suffer. The burgers themselves were alright, but nothing amazing at all. The chips were the same. Very, very disappointed, and we won't be back. Not cheap, either.

Easily the best burger I've ever had! Food & staff are outstanding. Woolf highly recommend this place to any BBQ lovers. Been loads of times, food gets better every time. And it now sells beer!
