Demetris Taverna in North Somerset

Lovely meal for my Birthday on arrival for a short Somerset break. Had mushroom starter followed by Stifado. Had potatoes instead of chips, good salad and bread served. Delicious but couldn't eat it all.

Lovely menu choice and good choices for vegetarians. Food was delicious and fresh. The wine list is good. Service is impeccable. Highly recommended this restaurant for romantic evenings or fun nights out!

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere Fantastic starters scallops in an incredible sauce, octopus that melted in the mouth. Sirloin steak so tender, whole fish Brill and a shrimp dish Outstanding quality and exceptional value. Dimitri as always very attentive and the whole team are wonderful. There was lots of variety in the mezedes. The stifado was perfectly cooked, the sea bass fillet and octopus were amazing as well. Great service from Nikoleta. Will be back again.

Took my mum on a short holiday to Weston-super-Mare. We came here and we were blown away by the food, the quality and taste was outstanding. It was so good we came back the following two nights. Over the 3 evenings I had the Horiatikon, Stifado and Anixiatikon and my mum had the Lountza, Meat Balls and Pastourma starters. All superb, especially the main meals. I don't normally have deserts but I made sure I tried some here as the food was so good - creme brulee, tiramisu and baklava. My favourite was the baklava, which also came with some of the nicest ice-cream I've ever had. Lovely staff and owners, very helpful and welcoming, and lovely decor. An outstanding restaurant. Thank you everyone for making us feel welcome and thanks again for the truly exceptional food!

We called in here on a recent visit to the playhouse. Sadly we were time limited and could not experience a meze but what we had was really good and I had my first brandy sour in over thirty years. Very welcoming and attentive service and will definitely return when we have more time

My wife loves Greek food and recently moving to Weston we thought we would give this restaurant a go. It didn't disappoint it was such a cute authentic restaurant, super busy on a Saturday evening. you definitely need to book this place before going. The staff were amazing and so much to choose from on the menu, the food was well priced and tasted incredible. Highly recommend

First visit to Demitris but won’t be the last! From the moment we stepped through the door the service was amazing, assisting my husband with his wheelchair, welcoming us and making sure we were comfortable. Throughout the evening various staff and the owner came over to check on everything and make sure we had everything we needed and were able to advise us on different dishes. Food was sensational, we opted for some traditional Greek dishes but after seeing the quality of steaks and sea bass we want try those too. We only took pics of our starters (Lobster ravioli, Octopus) because the mains looked so good we couldn’t wait to tuck in. We highly recommend a visit to Demitris, we are from South Wales and will be returning to the area just for the food and service here. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant

Wonderful authentic greek food.

Always have a good meal here and my favourite is Drunken Chicken, it never fails to impress. Good variety of food. Long standing family restaurant and always welcoming.

A 5* experience all round - This is the second time I have been in a couple of months and both times the food, service and atmosphere has been amazing. The staff go over and above, are personable, attentive and just all round lovely people. Nothing is too much for them. The food is genuinely delicious, honestly not one single complaint from all 10 of us who attended a 30th Birthday meal there on Saturday. Everyone was trying each others dishes purely because all of the meals were cooked to perfection! You walk in there and feel like you are in Greece, the atmosphere is great. One of, if not the best, restaurants in Weston.

We enjoyed a great evening at Demetrius where the food was excellent. We all enjoyed our options which included lamb, fish and chicken dishes. It was a very relaxed atmosphere due to the hosts and team attentive service spending time chatting to all and sundry.

Fantastic little Greek taverna in the heart of Weston Super Mare. Visited from the Midlands for a wedding anniversary meal. Well worth the drive down. Amazing food. Friendly staff.

Staff were friendly but food was below average and lamb was very overcooked and too salty. Shame as the reviews had good expectations.

Love Greek food and greek restaurants so was looking forward to trying this one, very disapointed never had a klefteco like it, just lamb with raw onion, 3 roast potatoes,when ive had this before its had vegetables and rice in rich gravy wasn't like that at all. A positive is the meat was tender. wouldn't go in the near future.

Yet another amazing night at this incredible restaurant. Starters we had the lobster ravioli and octopus both exquisite. Main courses were whole sea bass and king prawns in an amazing chilli sauce accompanied by Greek salad and potatoes Wonderful atmosphere and superb service from everyone including Dimitri

Hot sunny evening in Weston, could have been Greece! Thanks to reviews we found Demetris tucked away just off the seafront. The other diners appeared to be mostly local regulars, but we, as visitors to Weston, were similarly welcomed. The food was the best we have ever eaten outside Greece, the Cypriot white wine a great accompaniment, the atmosphere truly Greek!

Lesson one. You need to book a table. We turned up as they opened at 6pm.and were squeezed in. Very, very good food, tremendous service and lovely atmosphere. A few yards from the seafront, ignore the road it's on , the food is well worth the effort of booking ahead.

Wonderful food and excellent service from this little family-owned restaurant. If you're nearby, you must visit. I recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment as it's particularly popular on weekends.

The food and service was so good on the Friday evening that we went back again on the Saturday. Excellent food and service from all staff including the owner Demetris. The veal t-bone is quite easily the best steak I've ever eaten and recommended by Demetris himself. Absolutely worth a visit if you're ever nearby.

Best night out with best food wine and Demetris the best host making sure everyone has a wonderful night. Takes us nearly 2 hours to get here so stay overnight, so worth it.

Again.....Demetris is one of the best places to eat in weston. We have come here many times over many years. Food is slways delicious authentic Greek food served by staff who really care about the customer experience and enjoyment of food and good wine

Managed to get a walk in on a Friday night which was incredible really given how busy the place was within 10 mins of our arrival and for the rest of the night. Had mixed mezze starter - the calamari is the best we have...

My first visit. We were made very welcome and were well looked after. Even at 6.15 it was fairly busy and soon filled up. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Will definitely go back.

The menu is large and varied. We did choose well and we had a great evening. A popular place so it was jolly and there was lots of laughter and chatter.

One of the UK’s best Greek restaurants, beautiful food, such friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere throughout the meal and afterwards the music and buzz of the restaurant was amazing.

We have been fortunate to visit this Taverna before, when visiting our relatives in the area. It never ceases to fail. From the moment you walk in, you are greated like one of the family. The restaurant is well presented, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. The menu is extensive, plus specials available. Prices are a little high, considering where you are, but well worth it. Service is quick, well presented and delicious. Demetri's is well worth a visit. We'll definitely return soon.

I would give this place 10 stars if there was the option. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing and friendly the owner and the staff were. After being stood up and walking in there on my own and changing my table from a two to a one 🤣 the owner sat me up in his place at the bar so the staff could communicate with me and said no way was I’m gonna be sat eating alone at a table. The staff were incredible so lovely and engaging. The food was incredible! 10 stars!!! And what I couldn’t eat they put in tubs for me to take away. I honestly cannot recommend anywhere better to eat.

One of the worst greek restaurants we have been. There was an hour delay until we were served the main meal. We sat there watching the near tables who arrived 20-30 minutes later than us been served and when we asked for our meal the fish filet had bones and tasteless. The chicken kebabs one portion was burnt. The chips, salad and pitta bread was just enough for one person and not for four people. On our way out the owner asked numerous personal questions and when we expressed our concerns about the poor service, the bad food and the size of portions, he answered with a quick ' sorry ' and quickly walked away. Definitely the worst experience we had in a greek restaurant ever, and we went to numerous ones before.

If you are looking for fantastic Greek food look no further, great food and a wonderful atmosphere. A little bit more expensive than most places in Weston but well worth it.

Lovely restaurant. Looks from the outside are totally transformed when you meet the warm and friendly staff and sample the vibrant atmosphere inside. Slightly pricey, but when you need calamari, you won't regret it! Well worth a visit.

The restaurant is small and cosy with a welcoming atmosphere. There were a small number of tables so I would suggest booking in advance. The food was cooked nicely, hot and tasted amazing. We were given bread, chips and potatoes alongside our main which was a nice surprise. The food looks, tastes and feels very authentic. Dimitri himself was running around helping out the staff. The staff were extremely friendly with great attitudes. We felt really looked after during our meal. I plan to come back here soon as I had such a lovely time.
