Delicious traditional Sicilian food that the whole family loved. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely atmosphere.

Had a great meal again there last night. I had prawns to start and then pasta. My partner had the chops and she said they were awesome. I’ve been a few times. The couple that run it are fun and friendly. Very welcoming. The place is clean and tidy and lighting romantic. Groups of friends and couples in there although I’ve eaten there alone before too. Had a glass each of the house wine (red and white) and was overall a very enjoyable meal. Was a little quiet which is why I marked it one star down but most of the time I’ve been here or tried to get in it’s fully booked so would recommend not trying to walk in. It was raining so might have stopped a few more people going out.

An insult to Italian food. Mushroom bruschetta consisted of basic mushrooms that looked like they’d been boiled in cream, slopped over what might once have been toast, but which had actually disintegrated due to the pint of cream tipped over it. If you liked the food your kids cooked at primary school, you’ll love it. Otherwise, steer clear.

I had my 40th birthday party here at delizia,Jack and his team were absolutely amazing, they couldn't have done more for us.The food was delicious so tasty. I would 100% recommend Delizia to anyone. Thank you Jack

Cute local restaurant with wonderful food and a great atmosphere. I’ve been dying to try Delizia for ages as was not at all disappointed. The service made you feel like family. The wine list was lovely and fresh. The fig bruschetta was amazing and the flavour just burst in my mouth. I loved every bite. I had a seafood pasta that was tasty. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the flavour was spot on.

Wanted to try the restaurant before booking for a birthday. The Owner/manager was extremely rude. You aren't Ferrari, I'll go elsewhere.

We are very fortunate to have found this restaurant, I booked this restaurant to celebrate my son's 21st birthday and I was not disappointed. The food was amazing and the service was great

Stopped in for tea and coffee about 15h30 on Saturday. Politely declined to serve me because I didn't order food. Plenty of spare seats.

We took over the restaurant for a family birthday lunch. Nothing was too much trouble for them including a couple of meetings to discuss the day. Food was amazing we'd organised a set four course meal for 27 people. Each course was superb, everyone agreed! Service on the day was also faultless. Throughly recommended.

Lovely people, nice atmosphere. But not the flavours and freshness of authentic Italian food. A real shame. None the less, appears very popular. Sadly, we will not return. It's lovely and clean They have plenty of wine to choose from. And the staff really make you feel at home. Certain dishes had run out. Do plan and order ahead.

This is my favourite restaurant. Every time I visit I have the best time whether for brunch, lunch or dinner. The food is always incredible and the staff are just wonderful. Jack the owner makes are laugh constantly. The atmosphere is lovely. And the wine is so good. I can never tire of visiting this perfect like restaurant.

Food is really fresh be authentic Italian. One of the freshest pastas ever tasted and the husband travels to Italy a lot! Definitely should be on your list of places to enjoy a lovely evening.

Party of four, had booked previous week whilst in Baldock, after booking read reviews and was cautious, this was unfounded As the service was good, and the manager warmed up-to us The restaurant filled up steadily with regular customers some of which were frequent as the way they where greeted. The food was all fresh cooked, and we as a party of four all had different dishes, the various dishes where very good Every one of us was happy with the service and food drinks provided There are twenty four covers, so if you want to go on a busier night I would suggest booking The owner should encourage visitors to review his restaurant on Trip advisor, as from personal experience we use it normally before going to a new restaurant or visiting a new area

We popped into Baldock by chance we saw it on the way home and thought why not. A nice little Italian serving good food my partner had the truffle risotto, I had a bit or 2 and regretted ordering the standard pizza (which was nice) the bruchetta and prawn starters were tasty . Good work

Sat outside as the weather good. Prompt service . Was looking for a lighter lunch but ended up ordering a pizza. A bit greasy and would have been better if cut before serving. Nothing really tempted me on the menu. A bit pricey. They do serve alcohol.

Despite there being a party of 12 arriving for a celebration, the food and service were again fantastic. We introduced Delizia to some friends on this visit and they were very impressed. 'Jack' who runs the place has a great sense of humour and the staff always had a smile on their face.

It was a busy night which is good to see after tough times. But the starter soup was poor and maybe because it was busy we never once got asked if all was ok? The menu stated risotto and pasta but not one risotto dish included?? Then every main course dish stated comes we it’s or cooked in tomato. I’m not the biggest tomato fan and asked the owner if I could have the starter lamb chop dish as a main course? No problem he said as I don’t want tomato based dish! Guess what? It arrived on a bed of cherry tomatoes I did tell the waitress but that was that??? So when the bill arrived it was full price to pay. Not even the question was everything ok? Very disappointed on this visit , been plenty of times before but may think twice before we return? Finger of the pulse this time Jack.. Get back to basics and make sure your customers are looked after.. Not even a courtesy night cap that we had seen given out to other tables??

Great little place. Fabulous atmosphere great service well worth a visit . Carters a lot for bottomless brunch with great food and plenty of prosecco. Definitely recommend.

6 of us Ladies had a bottomless brunch here a couple of weeks ago and was superb From the minute we arrived until we left all the staff were very attentive and we had a lot of fun with them. The food was delicious without exception We had bagels with smoked salmon and poached eggs with a couple of us having bacon instead of salmon, they were delicious Waffles with crispy bacon were yum and the pasta dishes were sooo nice. Crab ravioli and mushroom and spinach ravioli Our glasses were topped up constantly not once did we have to ask. Loved everything about it and are booking to go again next month

Had a great bottomless brunch here a few weekends ago and it was amazing. Great value for money and the food was incredible. 100% recommend it and will be back again soon. The staff were very attentive and made sure our glasses were topped up....

The food was really good, I had the deep fried halloumi and it was fabulous! They served us even though the kitchen was about to shut, which we really appreciated because we were starving! Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Just had a meal delivered. It was so good. We had an antipasta for two which was generous and delicious, followed by the most scrumptious burgers. Absolutely wonderful. I feel sorry for people who do not live near enough to get a delivery.

Dined twice this week at Delizia whilst visiting family and on both occasions it didn’t disappoint. Food excellent and Jack the owner and his family were delightful hosts. We will make this a must next time we stay in Baldock.

Great food, good service, and quickly seated and served

Despite living in the area a while it was our first visit to Delizia today. The sun was out so we took a table outdoors with a view to ordering a drink and some lunch. From inside we heard what turned out to be the owner shouting ‘Whoah, whoah, whoah!’ Such was the ‘passion’ and volume of this shouting we assumed there was an argument going on inside. We were wrong. The owner came out of the shop still shouting ‘Whoah’ and came straight to our table. He animatedly told us we were sitting at a reserved table, pointing down the street saying ‘that woman reserved it just now’. There was no reserved sign on the table and no woman in the street that I could see. He tried to chivvy us along to another table but we told him we wouldn’t be staying after his ridiculous behaviour. His attitude and approach was disgusting, his display was pathetic, way over the top and absolutely unnecessary, the scene was played out in front of several other customers and they looked on in embarrassed silence. He clearly doesn’t have even a basic understanding of how to deal with people professionally.

stopped for lunch with she who must be obeyed and the dreaded mother!Even she was impressed with the authentic food served. SWMBO had the fried fish and it was as good as the Frito misto we had in Venice.I had pasta and cooked al dente with a delicious sauce, the dread had pasta in a gorgonzola sauce and it was all excellent with good service. would we go back yes yes yes.well done Delizia.

Food is alright but nothing special Hardly any room inside but it is OK on a sunny day when you can sit outside and have a beer/coffee. Children are simply not catered for!

If I was the proprietor of the restaurant I would have felt disappointed that someone could have had such bad manners in not calling the restaurant ahead to let them know only 3 out of 6 was turning up!! It's a small restaurant and your rudeness lost them money!! I hope you don't go back!!! Very rude!!

Been here on a number of occasions and never experienced any problems. Unfortunately my last visit completely changed my opinion and I will not be returning.

I am the first to support local businesses and have thought hard about writing this review - but this establishment has got to pull its socks up. I took visitors and found the experience more than disappointing. The first thing to mention is that the proprietor was not present but surely no excuse for the poor service and even worse meal we experienced. There can be no excuses either for offering a menu (limited anyway) a significant proportion of which was not available. No chips or fry's....really? Soup of the day (tomato) not bad but no bread or role - that was a first. Two of the group had Panini's. My wife's chicken one had a very strange taste which I can only describe as unpleasant - half of them left and no smacking of lips! For me the unhappy experience was compounded by the service which I can only describe as joyless and that's putting it mildly.

Slow and unfriendly service, Booked for 4 in advance. Nearly everything we ordered from the menu wasn't available, - even chips. Husband had soup, - but no roll with it!

Visited a number of times, the food has improved enormously, nice wine, very good atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Always a warm welcome here. Great service and food. The owner is a character, always a funny story to tell. Order to table 5-10minutes. The deli inside sells produce too
