Delilites Warrenpoint in Newry and Mourne

I rolled in last Friday about 3pm just an hour before closing as I needed two sandwich platters. We knew that a few folks were calling Friday night for a catch up so we wanted fresh, well filled tasty sandwiches which is exactly what we got. Each generous platter was £21 so £42. I asked for a mix of cheese, chicken and ham with sauces and salads and proper seasoned. I also asked for a small amount of my favourite sandwich - egg & onion - heavy on the onion and properly seasoned. I’m the only E&O eater and I’ve been known to add cold water Greenland or Iceland prawns. It was very kind of the charming staff to prepare them given they were close enough to closing. I went for a walk. I bumped into an old friend that I hadn’t seen in a few years - we talked rubbish, we complimented each other on still being alive just as boring old pharts do. Our guests indulged in all sorts of good food and the sandwiches we declared a real treat. The apple pies were home - made so they couldn’t be bettered and served with clotted Cornish cream. Delicious. Can’t wait to do it all again soon.

Had eaten here before hence going back when arrived specials board up but did not see prices on boardand asked for an irish fry which they did not seem to do but kindly offered sausages egg bacon and toast so went to get our coffee and then the bill £23.00 for 2 could not believe it food arrived toast hard as nails had to ask for butter but come on guys overpriced to say the least

Myself and a few friends had went into get lunch placed our order with the ladies at the food counter (friendly and helpful) waiting in the queue and the black haired women with glasses was horrible and rude to an elderly man in front of us, then we were barked at when we were ordering our drinks. If you don’t like a job like this then leave. All other staff and food were lovely! Coffee was meh and the rude women that made it. That I inquired about which was the manager. Bad decision for the company

Great food let down by a terrible service! No menus brought to our table, waited 20 mins for order to be taken, food arrived before drinks.. Had to ask several times for all the drinks with some being brought after we finished our meals. Side orders were substituted without asking... Unfortunately wouldn't recommend or visit again

We visited for coffee, which was decent. The lunch offerings were diverse and looked good. There is some outdoor seating. The indoor space is pleasant-enough. Friendly and efficient staff

We had a beautiful healthy salad and homemade soup earlier today. Each salad bowl was made to our individual requirements and was tasty, crunchy and fresh. The soup was delicious. If you are wanting something healthy don’t go past this restaurant

Just had an afternoon tea box. It was absolutely delicious.. Sandwiches very fresh with beautiful fillings. Very well presented. And ample portions. Well worth the money. Catherine hourican

Coffee was cold.The tables are dirty.Young staff are unfriendly and don’t seem in a hurry to do anything.The salad didn’t look fresh and the wrap was burnt.Food to wait was needed 30min. I don’t recommend it and I will never go back there myself.

Pizza is wrong. I paid for this by card. Taxi man had to go back down because yous had said it was not paid for. Order off yous all the time will not anymore.

I’ve been eating here a few times at lunch recently. The food is consistently good quality; fresh and plentiful. I would say the goats cheese ciabatta was a bit soggy one day but since then I’ve had panini, sandwich / salads all excellent. Staff always very efficient. Will return

Called in for lunch with my family and grandson of 6 months. The booth we picked was vacant but had spilled milk over the table. Sat for a while and had to go and look for someone to wipe the table top. We place our order and got our food a short time later. I had ordered the Korean beef spicy salad. All the food was lovely and well prepared. The only thing that spoilt an excellent review was the customer service. The lady waitress with aubern hair who I asked to clean the table previously was asked could we have some warm water to put the child's dummy in didn't even acknowledge me. Two or three minutes later I had asked her again. She did not speak to me but nodded to a blonde girl behind the counter who immediately brought some over. Perfectly good lunch spoilt by poor customer skills. It would appear she could not be annoyed. The next time I am in the area I will go to the cafe on the corner were the food and customer service is excellent

Staff barged past the babys pram and huffed for it being there, instead of offering a high chair for the baby to sit in. Counter people are not nice to greet! The staff could be tought some manners with a kick up the arsh

Food was a bit cold kebab meat wasn’t what we were expecting wasn’t nice at all. But chips were lovely. Had a missing chip when delivered but restraint soon fixed that problem by delivering me another one. Great service. Okay food.

Delilites has a great selection of breakfast and lunch options. My family and myself regularly visit. The staff are polite, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend trying the salted caramel chocolate fudge brownies 👌🏼

i find it highly rude that i rang the shop informing them 2 items on my order never arrived i was asked did i want them sent or put down for next time i order, i asked them to be sent up yet an hour later were still waiting and now we dont even want the items! tried calling the store another 2/3 times to let them know but no one answered! wont be ordering from pizza point again!

Order was wrong. Only ordered 2 pizzas. 1 was fine. The second just had 2 toppings but 1 was missing. Garlic bread is just a small baguette cut into 4 pieces. Very disappointed

It was a sunny day by the sea and this place had just one outside table with two seats. I was surprised that the seats were unoccupied so decision made. This was our first visit here. As we had been out for a walk we had coffee with cake on our collective mind - mid afternoon sweet stuff with the bonus of people watching. I had hoped that they would have lemon meringue pie as I’d seen this pie in another Deli Lites in Newry but I haven’t yet tried it (there are 3 Deli Lites cafes within 6 miles of where we live). Alas no pie and their scone selection was poor - it was mid afternoon after all. So it was between a lush looking lemon drizzle cake or a Victoria type sponge with cream & fresh blueberries. We usually buy lemon drizzle cake from M&S and for a factory product it is really excellent taste. So the Victoria sponge won out (£2.95). It was delicious too. We also had a regular cappuccino and a regular flat white (£2.5). These coffees were excellent too. The service was ace from all the staff too. Top marks. They have free WiFi but it didn’t function outside so if WiFi is important to you then sit in.

We visit Deli Lites at least twice a week and the food is always great - fresh and full of flavour. We have eaten breakfast, lunch and light dinners there and have no complaints about anything. Service is always good. The cakes and pastries are lush and we regularly enjoy the smoothies. It is great that there are lots of very healthy choices for those times when we manage to 'be good'. Great place!

Called in on a Monday late lunch for a coffee. The menu looked great so ordered food too. Very tasty, good portion size, and great value for money. Cappuccinos very smooth. Staff pleasant and friendly. Nice and bright decor. Clean. Definitely recommended. Popular place!

Pizza was very very greasy and soggy.

I ordered a vegetarian kebab with no sauce and I got 3 pieces of meat and sauce! You should cook everything seperatly otherwise your “ vegetarian kebab” is not vegetarian!

Went back last Saturday since my visit in April to have a coffee as I ran into an old friend. We went in and took a seat and chatted for 30 minutes. At no time did any member of staff approach us to put in an order. Left after our chat without putting in an order or getting anything to eat or drink. The staff just walked past us and chatted among themselves. There does not seem to be a manager or a senior member of staff to oversee what is going on or to direct them. Very disappointing again.

About 2 weeks ago i went into delilites and wanted a soup and sandwich combo as my usual when i go to this establishment but i saw the height of poor hygiene when i seen the owner of the premises walking about bare footed and serving a number of tables at her leisure. Whilst her staff were under pressure from being understaffed and quite busy she just left and did not return during a lunch hour rush. Also a number of weeks before that I had seen her son run through the shop with football boots on and kicking a ball around the shop as if it was a playground. I asked to speak to the manager on two occasions and have on both occasions been told the manager was not present. With Courtneys dooming on the doorstep of opening in Warrenpoint I fear for Delilites and the way in which they run the business.

Kebab was rotten and I was charged another 2 or 3 pound for delivery when I already paid for the delivery. Garlic mayo is sickening. Won't order from here again

I had a very enjoyable lunch here today. I was particularly impressed with the fantastic service provided by our waiter Peter. He couldn't have done more for us and made us feel very welcome. The food was very tasty also!

Called in last Friday for Breakfast. Managed to grab the seat by the Window and within a minute, had a menu brought down to me. I went for the breakfast Bap and Tea which was lovely. Great Value and Service as always.

Stopped in recently for a late lunch. The food was gorgeous and the service was friendly and prompt. Took a takeaway coffee with me for my journey home and it was 10/10!

I frequent Delilites regularly and don't have never had a complaint beforehand, the food is good and the staff are absolutely lovely, I’ve been frequently served by one young blonde girl and she never fails to brighten up my Sunday brunch with a bright smile and a sunny disposition. However recently I’ve noticed that most of the food staff are wearing hair nets except one girl, it looks quite disgusting especially seeing as she had a long black messy plait down her back that could easily drop hairs into the food she’s making or the food passing behind her. When all other members of staff are obviously trying to ensure hygiene it’s quite ridiculous that one girl seems to get away with foregoing that. I certainly won’t be bringing my business back if that continues

Llegué en 1410 en la tarde, Martes, 14 de marzo y me preguntó lo que me gustaría pedir Para no haber visto ni siquiera el menú. Yo señalamos y una chica diferente trajo uno. El personal parecía amable, pero parecen dirección falta. Pedí la sopa de un joven (la tercera persona a la mesa) y le dije que probablemente tienen un sándwich o algo después. Llegamos y la sopa estaba caliente y era acompañado por una rebanada de pan.

Wow been here a couple of times before and it was usually good, however ive noticed in my last few visits the very long delays and now staff seem to be to busy to make a simple salad...25 mins i had to wait whilst telling the young girls 4 times what my order was...they also dont seem to have time to clean the tables anymore..i seriously dond know how they got their hygene ratings..i most certainly will not be back anymore!

Went into deli lites wpoint on a very busy Sunday at lunch time for a salad bowl. Seeing me standing there, a young girl behind the deli asked me if I was ok to which I said 'yes I'm just deciding what to have in my salad bowl'. Knowing I was sitting in, the young girl put my filling into the bowl as I said it, which was nice because I didn't forget anything and I could ask for a little more of this and that I. She then asked me if I would like a dressing, to which I was unsure about. The girl told me to have a seat, and she brought me the salad bowl and a range of different dressing in different pots. The dressings tasted amazing and I never would have thought to ask for some of them --- in particular the mango dressing. It was lovely to be well looked after and have this girl take the time to do this for me... when she was probably up to her eyes with a million other things! I returned 2 weeks later and the same girl made my salad....absolutely delicious!! Disappointed to hear this girl has now left deli lites warrenpoint but nevertheless, I have never had a negative experience with staff here. Good luck to this girl in the future,,, she will go far as a well mannered and polite young woman!! :) :)

I visit this restaurant regularly, the pear and almond scones are to die for . There is a great choice of sandwiches and food from the hot counter . It is a great place for meeting up with friends for a tea or coffee and nothing is any bother to the staff .

I arrived at 1410 in the afternoon, Tuesday, March 14th and was asked what I'd like to order having not even seen the menu. I pointed this out and a different girl brought one. The staff appeared friendly but they appear to lack direction. I ordered soup from a young man (the 3rd person to to to the table) and I told him that I'd probably have a sandwich or something afterwards. The soup arrived and it was hot and was accompanied by one slice of bread. When I finished this I waited....and waited.... .....there was a birthday cake brought out for one of the staff and they all sang "happy birthday" and then went into the back room for photos with the cake and a bottle of champagne. The girl who was cutting the cake (and all the time licking her fingers) didn't appear to wash her hands afterwards.Still I waited for the empty bowl to be removed and for the menu of salads/sandwiches. It never arrived. I kid you not when I say that the empty soup bowl sat there until 1502, nearly 40 minutes after I had finished. I didn't order anything else because I wasn't given the opportunity.I went to the till and requested to pay (£3.50) and I asked if the manager was there, just to point out my issue. I was told that he or she had left about an hour ago I'm not usually a complainant but I was left waiting for far too long and in the end I left without ordering anything else. Disappointing, given that the restaurant wasn't even that busy during my visit.

Went to Deli Lites yesterday for some lunch. Well presented exterior which drew us in. It's a busy spot with comfortable seating , there's a take away sandwich/bagel, salad section and also sit in service. We sat in and where served promptly. I ordered a really tasty beetroot, spinach, goats cheese salad topped with walnuts etc and my husband had a pulled ham bagel. Both of us enjoyed the food. I also received a health shot to accompany my salad which was yum! For those watching their weight there are low calorie bites on the menu listing the amount of calories in each meal.Overall well worth a visit!

I often eat here with my wife at lunch time. It may be a chain or franchise but the food is freshly prepared and is excellent. It is consistent and appetising.While it may not be at the top of haute cuisine it is a damn good lunch with excellent choice

Having visited deli-lites in warrenpoint quite a number of times now, on each visit the customer service seems to get worse and worse which appears to stem from who I assume is the manager, who is in my eyes, clearly unapproachable and the way in which she speaks to the staff in front of customers is frankly uncomfortable to listen to and honestly has put me off wanting to visit deli-lites again as the bad manners is uncalled for! However apart from the rude service observed by the management, I cannot fault the young lady who is situated on the till each time I have visited deli-lites. This young lady never fails to smile and be polite even when she is clearly under a lot of pressure and trying to do 100 things at once, and also makes a great cup of coffee! Good coffee but management needs to be seriously re-evaluated!

The food as always was lovely, however anyone who is new to the area should avoid this place. The service is intolerable as is their incredibly poor customer service. There is no system to their ordering which is both take out & sit in. Waitresses both make sandwiches & serve tables. They also make your drinks. So you really have no idea who is doing what. At no point did anyone suggest it was seated service until we placed our order & then after our children were seated told us we were in the take out line. There was alot of people just wandering around the back doing nothing. Tables of four were seated with one person clearly locals which is grand but do not open for visiting tourists then. I really enjoy delilites normally. Just disapointing as I frequent this area.

Open Sunday morning and obviously very popular. Lovely and clean - they came and wiped the table as we sat down. Quick service, food hot, tempting selection of cakes.

Stopped here today for a snack. Lovely staff and quick service. We both had the goat cheese salad, the best I ever tasted. With a coffee and a tea the bill came to 16.05 pounds, very reasonable for a filling lunch. Highly recommended. Plenty of free parking just outside.

Dined at lunch time with my two daughters. Soup was potato and leek with bacon which was very nice.We had sandwiches which were good. Think soup combo with a sandwich at £5.95 is reasonable.Food is all very fresh and the waitress who served us was very friendly.It was very busy but we did not have to wait too long.There was a lovely selection of homemade pastries and desserts but we were too full. I would go back again.

I arrived this morning and ordered porridge. Me thinking just the ordinary stuff but it was so beautiful.It came out with seeds and honey...It was amazing.I also ordered a strong coffee.That was just perfect too. I'd recommend this place for a beautiful breakfast. I'll have to call back for lunch now.

Was in here for lunch yesterday (thursday). Upon entering the heat hit me like a ton of bricks! I continued to sit down and was greeted by a nice waiter who took my order. The food was lovely however I just could not get over the still heat that was in that shop. I originally was looking forward to a nice coffee but opted for a cold drink instead because of it. Honestly feel so sorry for the staff who are made to work in those conditions, I could only manage 25/30 mins in the shop at the most. Don't know how anyone manages to work in it, air conditioning would go a long way for this business. I for one would have stayed longer!

Good tasty bite, pity we were on rations. Just a shame for such a nice lunch. Buy a prepackaged sandwich, you'll get the point. Don't go hungry.

Wondeful food and a great selection avalible. I have long liked Deli-Lites as a chain and Warrenpoint's addition to the group is no exception. Lovely staff, good level of cleanliness and great food. Throughly enjoyed my visit and will be back as soon as I next stop in Warrenpoint.

My partner and I called in for lunch today. I've been in once before and the service and coffee was great so thought we'd try it again. As soon as we entered the building a waitress was with us and had us seated and a menu given. I opted for the soup of the day which was Ginger & Celeriac and made it a combo which was great value for money! My partner chose the Lunch Special of Chilli, Lime, Coriander Chicken Wrap which came with an unbelievable selection of Gourmet Salads. The shop itself was buzzing and had such a great atmosphere between the staff and customers. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be back for food and the amazing coffee. I had a Cappucino today and taste or presentation could not be faulted! Will definitely be back!

My partner and I called in around 2 pm for coffee and tea and sandwiches. It wasn't overally busy but a few in. Our order was taken the tea and coffee came first but to our horror the tea cup was dirty so we called the waiter over and after 5 mins later they brought another cup down but again it was dirty so after a heated discussion with the waiter on how to clean a cup we got one. My coffee was undrinkable weak as water and bitter. I enjoy my coffee out and about but not this time. The sandwiches were just mediocre. The place was in dire need of a dam good clean too and a training session from the staff. We won't be back. Save yourself the bother folks

Food were cold not very hot enough. I live very closed only few mins to delivery. Don't knw why pizza Bec cold so I put oven to reheat. To lose my time for this. I Shld make pizza here. Found were lovely. Thks

First of all the staff can't be faulted. Friendly, efficient and helpful. The food however has been hit and miss. I've had some wonderful lunches here but unfortunately I've also had a few bangers that really weren't worth the money . But overall I have to give this place the thumbs up.

Good food, better staff, sadly that's where the buck stops. At £6.95 fish goujons, plus £3 coffee, plus 15% tip, it's sorely overpriced for a snack. Felt a bit hard done by the portions and couldn't help but think that's just the portion budget are everyday! Good luck keeping up with the Newry branch.
