Delico Deli in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Went here for the first time. Had toastie cake and cup of coffee. Came very quick. So delicious. The waitress was lovely. The person serving was a bit abrupt. Busy I think. Definitely be returning.

Love this cafe, love the decor and the chilled vibe, great food and service.

What a little gem. When we saw it from the outside, we thought it was an old smoking bar, but we walked in and what a lovely little place, what a vibe. We had the tuna melt panini and small cappuccino. Good portions in the tuna melt, as much filling as bread. The toilet isn't disabled friendly as there are steps up to get to it, but nicely decorated for a single person and has a red light, green light system so you don't wait in a queue. Brilliant. Very warm atmosphere with a real buzz. Loved it

Lovely cafe n nice staff but very very small coffee cups n very very small panini's..very bad value n very clever way of upping yr profits by decreasing portions n increasing prices. Wont be visiting again... better value places for eating out in aberdare

We had tea, bara birth, strawberry tart and juice. Lovely atmosphere, excellent quality food and drinks and good price. Definitely value for money.

Best coffee I've had in a very long time , will be back

2nd time to visit this cafe and definitely the last. The male serving was as miserable as can be, not a smile or warm greeting. Started to give our order when he abruptly turned without waiting for us to give the remainder. Overheard the lady behind the counter asking if we wanted the apple pie warmed and his reply - whatever.

Beautiful looking cafe, bloody good cup of coffee and the cakes looked amazing.

Found this place unexpectedly and so glad we did, amazing food, the decor is lovely and cosy and the customer service here is brilliant. 10/10, exceptionally clean!!

we came to this cafe on our college break, we sat outside at first and then came inside as it was raining and cold, when sitting down the owner came over and questioned if we were buying anything to which we were, when ordering my pot of tea for one, i politely asked if i could have an extra mug for my friend due to not having enough money for the pot of tea for 2, the owner said i wasn’t allowed an extra mug and that we had to drink from the same mug, so i explained i didn’t have enough money, he then went on to say we had been sat outside for 20mins and didn’t order anything, we then continued to get stared at and felt more of an inconvenience than customer, we didn’t cause any trouble and just simply came to revise. we were then shouted at and kicked out. Other customers agreed that this was not acceptable

On walking past at end of day on Saturday 22nd October I asked if I could use the toilet. I have Multiple Sclerosis & needed to go imminently to avoid soiling myself. The man in charge said "no, the toilet has been cleaned and bleached!: I have never been so insulted or witnessed such a HUGE lack of compassion in my 3yrs of living with ms. I will not be going back!

Good coffee. Decorated with tons of character, especially love the animal heads on the walls. Delicious looking cakes, and wide range of teas. Comfortable indoor seating and some outdoor too. Nice option to have

Visited this place on a recent visit to Aberdare, beautifully decorated with comfortable seats and an amazing little deli. There are so many options you'll be spoilt for choice. I settled on a latte, sandwich and some lemon cheesecake. The sandwich was served on beautifully fresh bread with plenty of filling, the cheesecake was perfect I couldn't have made better myself. Sadly the latte was a let down, very weak and tasted watery, it quickly hit the bin. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired however, gentleman behind counter was very short and not very welcoming. It's this that would stop me from visiting again despite how good the food is

Very welcoming staff amazing quality and top class service and customer service. Prices are reasonable and the decor and atmosphere is out of this world. I forgotten how much I loved this place but after a quick visit on the weekend with my partner I will definitely be making more effort to visit more often as this is one of the gems of Aberdare.

Always a lovely place to enjoy a beverage and a wide selection of beautiful cakes, quiche, and patisseries. Inside and outside, front and back seating available. Beautifully decorated with clocks and gifts with a fun sense of style. Flour and condiments such as jams, marmalades etc to buy instore. Also have introduced a traffic light system for the use of the loo during covid, always in pristine condition and background music with newspapers available to read on the day.

A beautifully newly re-furnished coffee shop which in itself makes the visit worthwhile. Hosts Paul & Rob make you very welcome with lots of laughs. Coffee is great and cakes are fabulous - all freshly baked on the premises. You can take your time and are never hustled. New seating is very comfortable too. A special place in Aberdare.

Nice toast and very good coffee. The lavatory lets them down badly. An ugly metal sink, barely bigger than a cereal bowl, and tasteless, borderline offensive decor. It's also overpriced, they could drop their prices slightly.

Excellent coffee, reasonable snacks, lovely environment, Delico is a lovely place to go and just chat have a coffee and relax. Aberdare is coming up in the coffee culture.

Ambient and quirky cafe, great coffee, cakes and savoury pastries and fab homemade soups in winter. Sells unusual jams, curds and chutneys and local greetings cards etc. Great decor inside - go to the toilet for an arty treat!!

Found this little gem, just by chance. Loved the seating and atmosphere on entering the cafe. Then the miserable person behind the counter, too difficult to acknowledge us. Clearly had a bad night previous, he looked with scorn and a scowl. Clearly shouldn't be the face to this cafe. Plenty of potential, but lost on his attitude and demeanour. All it takes is a hello and a smile

My favourite cafe in Aberdare. The decor is very quirky and they offer a wide selection of drinks, delicious cakes and sandwhich and other lunch options for a reasonable price. Lovely unique atmosphere, something different to visit in Aberdare. Love it there!

Stopped here on a bike ride. Delicious bacon sandwich, coffee and scone. Would recommend it.

Absolutely love coming here, a bacon sandwich and a pot of tea is become a weekend regime. There's so much on offer though and the atmosphere is relaxed, kitsch and friendly. Cannot recommend enough!

Lovely atmosphere and really nice freshly made snacks

There is lush cake I do recommend you try the Red velvet cake, they give fair sized slices and they are home baked. It's delicious! I go after school for a quiet tea and cake and the reason I love delico deli is because their furniture makes me feel cosy and at home, they have big comfy armchairs that you could sit in all day. So if you have had a lon day at work just drop in to try a piece of cake for the lowest price of £2.00

The Delico Deli is our favourite tea/ coffee shop in Aberdare. Wonderful ambiance, quirky decor, and lovely comfy armchairs. An ideal to venue to enjoy excellent selection of cakes and light snacks.

I love the little deli try to go there as often as i can its relaxing, vintage surroundings and really cozy lovely place.

Large airy cafe, pleasant staff, good menu

Asked for a salad panini or toasties because I can not consume cheese ect, and he said sorry we are not doing any salad today. Even tho the other gentleman was making up ham SALAD rolls. I asked if there was anything wrong with the salad that was being used, and he said they are not doing any hot food today as the paninis are frozen. I was snubbed at every corner. Even tho they was serving toast?! So gave up. Have not felt so discriminate against in such a long time, gutted.

Who would have know this place exists around this place omg I didn't want to leave ever the food is amazing and the coffee 8s out of this world my daughter and I would happily move in there . Staff are so friendly and spotlessly clean will be going back again without a doubt . This place is a piece of heaven

I love this cafe. This town has so much potential. The only pleasant place to eat and drink. Let's have some imagination and transform aberdare. Let's have more upmarket unique shops. Not cheap shops some class. Council need to transform the bridge that's the first thing you see coming to aberdare. I was gutted to see deli closed today one of the few reasons I like to visit the town. Hopefully council will sort these issues out I don't want them to close permanently. It is so true aberdare has so much going for it. Had to go into a greasy spoon I was not happy. Hope your open soon.

Needed a bite to eat and a drink after a strenuous job moving daughter. Discovered Delico Deli. What a Fascinating place with its unusual decor and theme, Staff pleasant helpful, very clean. As for the food a nice menu at very good prices. PANINI and cappuccino under a fiver. Certainly I will use again. Highly recommend. .
