Granted, it was a while ago. Over rated and over priced breakfast

One of my favourite places to eat. Amazing food, beautiful cosy setting and friendly staff! The ceaser salad is a firm favourite and the caramel squares are a real treat!

Everything here was to our liking, Sunday Lunch was perfect.

We went out for a Valentines night meal and weren't disappointed the food was amazing as it always is, the staff were polite and courteous as always. This place is an absolute gem and never disappoints as we have been in several times over the years as its class every time !!! 10/10

This place used to be hard to beat, but it seems to have changed. They used to have artisan breads and salads. I had lunch & had the hot cheese sandwich which for £9.50 I expected to be extremely good. Waitress didn’t even ask what type of bread I wanted The bread was barely toasted & flaccid - in fact tasted like it had come from a supermarket & the coffee was insipid & tasteless. The staff are perfectly attentive and pleasant but this is no longer the special experience it used to be, especially not for these prices. Such a shame

Visited for Sunday Lunch. No wait. Was given a menu with 3 courses on but it only included a price for 2. Server didn't know if there was an option to have 3 courses. All a bit confusing. Server also did not seem to know much about the meals in general. We arrived towards the end of the Sunday lunchtime, but service was slow. The food itself was good. Beef was quite fatty, but the lamb was fantastic. Main course could definitely have been more substantial, but the starter and dessert were a good size. Nice place and atmosphere. Would be happy to go back and try it again.

This is a very disappointing again. Service shocking waiting 1 hour on food when came was dump on plate , presentation terrible, food was cold, had to ask twice about order ,staff never apologise for delay nothing. Staff dont appear happy to accommodate customers. Obviously their customers dont come first!!!!!Send order back waited again, top it of charge me for the order that went back cold 🥶 will not be back!!!!!!!!!

Arrived and asked did we book and eventually brought to our seats. We were given set Xmas menus, £27 for two courses, a bit steep and poor selection, the sirloin had a £7 supplement on top. Ordered a baby bowl and some drinks and took 30 minutes. Chased multiple members of staff, we were told all good, coming now, needless to say the baby bowl and drinks didn’t arrive. Service is horrible, nobody seems to be in charge, the staff consist of lazy students who seem to do nothing but congregate around the till avoiding customers. Very strange setup. Genuinely won’t be back, not treated like a customer or given any respect or apologies. Avoid like the plague unless you enjoy waiting 45 minutes for one main course and one starter 🤷🏻‍♂️

Absolutely terrible, will never be back. Sat for 1hr and got no service or reasoning to why we had to wait so long, others that ordered later than us had got their food a long time before ours. I asked a waitress where our food was and explained the circumstances, she replied very ignorantly and said she would check. She came back 10 minutes later and said it’s coming now, in which we got our food, my burger was STONE COLD and the burger meat was black, it was burnt and dry, not tasteful in the slightest, i wouldn’t feed my dog that burger, the other person i was with had received the wrong order, she asked for plain chicken goujons, she got a goujon wrap. In which she has certain allergy’s which she cannot eat the wrap and the contents. We were ignored the entire time that we were seated and we’re not offered any compensation to our long wait and terrible service. In fact, we didn’t even get an apology or any recognition. We got a lot of attitude from the service staff. We also got charged the entire full bill, even though we had raised our concerns with staff members of the poor service and poor food quality. I am very VERY not pleased that my money had to go towards a very bad establishment. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT DESERVE THE MONEY!!

This establishment is not great recently. (we gave this place a fair trail and went 3 separate times, third time unlucky so that's why this review has been posted!!) I went there with my partner, I made a simple switch on my breakfast order,( no tomato, extra mushroom) TWICE they proceeded to bring out completely the wrong order, on the third time I received the correct order but the food was STONE COLD! I don't want to spend my hard earned money on cold food, and when it was brought the the staffs attention, they had an attitude problem. It was made clear to the serving staff that both of us were not impressed by the standard of food or service. Whispering ensued at the till whereby they proceeded to charge us the full bill. I wasn't expecting a free breakfast, but no offer to compensate our crappy experience was offered. AVOID IF YOU WANT A GOOD BREAKFAST!!

We got seated. After recieving our drinks it was 25 minutes before anyone asked about placing an order. We understand that it can be busy that's fair. But when we explained we were going to head on as we waited so long we where responded with 'thats no bother' and the lady walked away. Second young girl did apologise.

We really enjoyed lunch here and reasonably priced, good value for money. I had chicken, mozarella and pesto toastie which was delicious. My Mum had chicken and veg soup, also lovely. Would recommend.

I dined in The Deli On The Green on Saturday, the 2nd of September. The food was fine but my subsequent customer service experience – or lack thereof - left a nasty taste in my mouth. Just as I was served my food my friend and his wife entered the restaurant and were seated at a nearby table. When I went to pay I asked if I could also pay for their table. The waitress said that was fine, and promptly merged the two bills. I noticed my friend and his wife had ordered wine and I asked the waitress “Did you get the wine as well?” and she pointed to a line on the receipt. After a few days I hadn’t heard anything from my friend. I didn’t pay for his meal as a great act of generosity but I did expect to receive a simple ‘thank you’ via text, as anyone would, and it left me in a rather awkward predicament - why hadn't he contacted me? had he been offended? – and then it occurred to me – perhaps he had also been charged. I sent a few messages to ascertain what he had ordered (I still had the receipt) and it transpired I hadn’t paid for his meal at all; I had paid for someone else’s meal. The restaurant wasn’t busy; in the area where we were seated there was just one other table of six people and the rest of the restaurant was empty - so whose meal did I pay for?? I called The Deli On The Green and explained what I suspected had happened. They took my number and I was told someone would get back to me. After a few days I still hadn’t heard anything from The Deli on The Green so I called again. I spoke to the manageress; she assured me she was just about to call me. She said she had looked into the matter and confirmed what I had suspected; I had been charged for the wrong table. She said there was nothing she could do about it and as it had been “a miscommunication” between the waitress and myself. She said she would consider passing the matter to the owner of the restaurant – she was unavailable (“back-to-back meetings”) – but I never heard another thing; presumably she too felt it wasn’t anything to do with her or maybe she’s still in those meetings. I understand that mistakes can and do happed but there didn’t seem to be any confusion on the part of the waitress at the time - how could there be when there were so few tables in the restaurant? - but the way The Deli On The Green have handled this matter has been pretty unacceptable; surely The Deli On The Green have some responsibility for mistakes made by their own staff? I would be a little more understanding had the restaurant been incredibly busy - I could see how this issue might arise under those conditions - but, given the circumstances, I'm really at a loss to how this situation arose.

Absolute terrible service. Went for coffee and desert. Stood for ages waiting to be seating and then shown to a side table in the shop area that was closed. Waited 20 mins until a gentleman came in and ordered 2 coffees to go, he was served straight away. We got up and left and no one even batted an eyelid as we left. Won't be back, EVER

Beautiful food lovely venue and great staff

Beautiful place and great food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just popped in for a quick bite. Steak and a burger. Both where excellent Well worth a return visit another time. Great taste and happy to accommodate changes on the menu. Wheelchair accessible toilet and very clean also. Great place to eat and dine

Extremely disappointing lunch today. My friend and I both had Salt & Chili Chicken with Napa Slaw, Chili Mayo & Chips. So looking forward to it but the chicken was overcooked and leathery and the majority of the chips were scraps. The food was served within a short time of ordering which should have alerted us to the fact that it may have been reheated. Could not fault the professionalism and friendliness of the staff serving us, they were amazing. I’ve had lovely food in Deli on the Green before so hoping this is only a temporary blip!

My brother and his partner ended up with food poisoning after eating the fish and chicken the hygiene of this establishment is very bad we had to hand the cutlery back as it was dirty not even an apology that shud of been a red flag will never be back !

Food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are very contentious and friendly. Went here on a recommendation from a lady in the Snooty Fox, and it did not disappoint

Nice place for meeting with friends

From coffee and buns to salad and steak and veggie curry and chips. They cater for everyone. Love the place.

In for lunch hair in wrap, said they would give us 10% off free coffees and dessert then charged for the coffees & no 10% off…

On arrival had to call someone to be seated as we were ignored though place was busy, service bit slow to start but when we did get served food was really tasty worth the wait and will go bsck again.

I have only come here a handful of times and i always ask myself why i return... Well not anymore.. Service is always slow, some of the staff is super rude (the younger girls are lovely though), food is hit and miss and the prices are extortionate for what you get. Much better places in dungannon for breakfast, back to the food doc i go...

Yeh we had a lovely breakfast. Went for the avocado toast was lovely and added crispy bacon to it even better. It was a week day morning so was quieter than weekend which I really liked. Lovely lady served us and was very helpful. We had babies with us and it was no problem getting High chairs and space for a pram. Dont think I would bring a pram at weekend it’s quite busy spot. I would say it’s a bit more expensive than other places. Some baby parking spaces would be brill a car parked so close to me I couldn’t get the door open to get my baby car seat in. Thankfully was with a friend who helped me. But I will be back again.

Lovely food, lovely surroundings. I stopped into the deli on the green for lunch, it was delicious. The staff are great too. All around a good place to stop for something to eat.

The food was fantastic,the beef was melt in your mouth! A tip for the servers though would be to make sure the sides arrive with the mains. The above was 3 years ago! The below is a separate visit. The food was satisfactory but a fair bit overpriced for the portion size. I had to ask to order a drink after sitting for 15min when the starter arrived we ordered another drink from a manager but it didn’t come so we asked a server. The main course arrived which was small but nice,the main course was finished and 15min had passed we weren’t asked if we wanted dessert (which we did) so after being there 1hr and 10min in total we decided to leave. Should have tried Viscounts on this occasion! 👎

The service was terrible and the portions where small with high prices. The food was decent although there wasn’t enough of it,I’d give it a miss next time and try Viscounts

Lovely Sunday lunch, good food and very friendly service. We were a group of 8 + 1 toddler. Service was just as we’ve come to expect - very prompt and friendly. Between us we probably had most of the menu and each course was tasty, hot and presented well. Overall very good value. Special mention again to the waiting staff, nothing was too much bother and very friendly. Will definitely be back!

I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel I’ve no choice. My partner and I went for a meal here on 11/09/2022. It was an incredible dining experience, the serving staff were efficient and perfectly attentive leaving you wanting for nothing. The 3-course meal was outstanding, surpassing all expectations. Do not hesitate on making a reservation, we will definitely be returning, sooner than later. Special thanks to the manager.

I called to the Deli on the Green for a takeaway coffee - early lunchtime. The place was busy, I stood for 10 minutes at the front door awaiting service with no acknowledgement from any staff member. A large queue had formed behind me also. The place appeared severely understaffed. I eventually just gave up, and saw a couple of others also follow suit. Won't be back.

My go to place for breakfast in the North of Ireland. Never disappoints.

We visited Deli on the Green for date night, we like the decor and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly. My partner ordered the hake and I ordered the Penang curry. The dishes arrived and they looked great. As I started to eat I added some salt, no big deal, then continued with the curry and added some more salt... Then a bit more... And more... I'm not a fan of super spicy curry, so I was glad it wasn't burning my mouth off, but it tasted like absolutely nothing. Really odd. My partner had also been shaking salt over the hake dish and agreed that somehow the entire dish tasted like plain potato. I know what you're thinking - maybe we had covid and couldn't taste! Our drinks tasted fine and with the added salt the dinner was a bit better. I mentioned this to our waitress and she gave me a free dessert (which tasted great!). I wouldn't go back for dinner, but I would still visit for coffee and a bun.

We had lunch here today, loved it, great staff, great food and beautiful Christmas decorations! Back again, still fab!

Was in on a Monday for a bit of lunch and was very disappointed with the service. There were only 7 tables most of whom had already been served their food, so it would be fair to say that the restaurant was quite quiet. There were also a decent number of staff working at the time, we had placed an order for only 2 lunches. After 45 mins of waiting for the food to be served, we had been asked “have you ordered yet” which we had replied “yes about 45 mins ago.” Needless to say we were not willing to wait another 45 minutes for our food so we had said to the staff that we were too hungry and were going to leave, to which they only responded with a quick “sorry”. We are regular customers at this restaurant, often going for breakfast, but needless to say we will not be going back.

The previous comment of a lovely atmosphere is the polar opposite of what we just experienced today. Granted, it was a busy bank holiday Monday and they couldn't accomodate a table of seven, yet their unfriendliness, unwillingness to help, and all-round miserable attitude from 3+ different servers we engaged with was nothing short of a let-down for an establishment in Northern Ireland where we come to expect a smile and "how are you?" and "let's see what we can do". We left after 20 minutes.

Lovely atmosphere. I had fish and chips for lunch. The best fish I have had in a long time. Shared Eaton Mess ,it was first class. I would recommend visiting .

Great spot in Dungannon. Vast Menu with something for everything and the staff are very accommodating as well as friendly and polite. Food was excellent and the coffee was nice as well. Very cozy spot with good parking. Would recommend!

Have been to this place twice and on both occasions was left very disappointed. Food really average at best. Got a duck noodle meal £14 and couldn’t find any duck in it just looked like a pot noodle tipped out on plate When we complained chef said no one else had complained so no problem there then Manager offered free coffee and tray bake on our next visit We thought we we give it a second chance today got another average meal and when we reminded manager of our last visit she denied all knowledge of it and was very reluctant to honour they’re previous offer As I said NEVER AGAIN

A friend and I went in for a coffee two days ago. I was very surprised to see so few members of staff wearing a mask. It is mandatory in restaurants to wear a mask unless you are sat at a table. When we went to leave I asked the member of staff behind the counter why so few members of staff were wearing masks. I got a sheepish response “they are exempt”. I will not be returning! With numbers still so high in NI I want to be made to feel safe and looked after. I didn’t feel that in this instance.

Lovely atmosphere, staff were very attentive and food was AMAZING. Great menu selection and it definitely had an emphasis on quality and not quantity unlike many restaurants. Pricing is very reasonable too. There's free parking, booking recommended but we walked in. Really lovely set up inside too. Highly recommend.

Just ordered a hot chocolate and it was barely warm

This was our first time at Deli n the Green. I admit i was a bit concerned as some of the recent revews were not great. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The menu had a nice selection of starters and mains, and there were 4 specials on too. The kids had garlic bread for starter (it wasn't on the menu, but the kitchen very kindly made it up for us). I had the parfait, and my husband had the platter for one. All was thoroughly enjoyed. The kids ordered off the childrens menu and enjoyed their mains. I had the lasagna which was gorgeous. Steve had the fillet steak, which was the most expensive thing on the menu (£26), but was gorgeous and cooked really well. We shared desserts and had coffee to finish off. The service was excellent throughout. Staff were friendly and courteous, and they could easily have refused to ask the kitchen to make the garlic bread for the kids. But nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.

Took my mother here for her birthday lunch today and it was a disappointment. The woman who initially took our orders was lovely however the courtesy ended there with the staff. I ordered the goats cheese fritters and a side salad. It was brought out along with my dads order which was a platter, a mix of cheese and meats etc, however no side salad. Both dishes were also very small for a single person’s lunch portion. We then waited over 10 minutes before realising no ones else’s food was coming out (there were 7 of us). We called the original lady over and she apologised and said she would get our remaining food out straight away. At this point my dad also ordered a selection of breads to go make his meal a bit more substantial. 5 minutes after that the remaining adults food was brought out. We had to wait a further 5 minutes for the children’s food (easily 30 minutes since we ordered at this point) to be brought out and the youngest’s order was wrong. He is a picky wee eater (only 6) and we ordered him the margarita pizza, and a pasta dish was brought out. My mum not wanting to make a scene said it would be fine as long as it’s not some other child’s meal at another table that they were now going without. The waitress we were dealing with could care less and bluntly said she would check it wasn’t someone else’s so brought it back to the kitchen before returning with it and saying nothing. Still no side salad and no selection of breads. I went over to help my youngest brother eat his food and while I was away the side salad and breads were left at the table. It should have been obvious to the waitress that all the adults had finished their meals at this point. I went down to pay and was nearly dreading for the lady to ask me how the meal was as I always find it uncomfortable complaining, however I needn’t worry as the question never came. Really disappointed with today. I was here back in December last year and was really disappointed with the service as well, but I like to give local business the benefit of the doubt as everyone is entitled to a bad day. However I will not be rushing back after today.

Visited Deli On The Green in Dungannon for the first time at lunch time today with my daughter. Really enjoyable experience. Lovely ambiance. Good friendly service. Great food. Had the Deli burger. Quality meat that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Accompanying chips and French fried onions were very tasty too. Warm brownie with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream was excellent. All washed down with a couple of pints of premium lager. For £41 for 2 you will not get better value in east Tyrone. Quality and value for money. Would recommend. Will definitely be back soon.

Very pricey for what you get. Ordered a club sandwich and got 1 piece of chicken and a slice if bacon in it. Wasnt great for an over priced sandwich. Coffee was ok tho.

Had breakfast here a few times and it really is hit or miss. The waiting staff are lovely and the decor is inviting. Had the small breakfast...everything was dried out and overcooked. The toast was burnt and they served it burnt side down. I really could have made a better breakfast myself and can't believe there is a professional chef sending out such mediocre food. Overpriced for what you get...a local garage would have better/fresher offerings

Called in with my wife for breakfast quite early on a Saturday morning. Were shown to our seats by a very friendly & helpful waitress, who promptly took our order. My wife's coffee & scones arrived within a reasonable time , but my fried breakfast was much slower coming, & we would have preferred everything arriving at the same time. Food tasted fine, albeit a little pricey! We won't rush back, but the location is handy to the bus station & Tescos.
