Deli Cafe in Stratford-on-Avon

Lovely place on the one the main streets going into Stratford. Good choice from the menu. Staff were very friendly, toilets a bit small, but they were kept clean. Worth a visit

Great place to eat, friendly and helpful staff great price. We had a main meal, desert, pot of tea for two and cold drink £52.00 in total. My husband got ice cream with his Bakewell tart when I asked although it wasn't on the menu which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place.

We visited on Monday morning with our 6 month old puppy, had a lovely friendly welcome, tea and coffee plus the perfect mushrooms on toast and a lovely breakfast roll. Our dog had his own water bowl and was fussed by the staff. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you.

Great variety on the menu and a brilliant price - particularly for Stratford Upon Avon! A relaxed atmosphere, even when it was at full capacity. Staff were very friendly and approachable; the chef was very understanding of my food anxieties (not to mention cooking poached eggs to PERFECTION!) Definitely going to be visiting regularly when we move to the area!

An amazing little cafe with a lovely atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. We had an all day breakfast and gammon, egg and chips and both were delicious. They don’t fall into the trap so many places in highly touristy areas fall into of not caring because the clientele won’t be visiting Stratford again. They deserve their 2023 travellers choice award.

Fantastic lunch at Deli Cafe. Food and Service was outstanding considering it’s a popular place. I had the homemade chicken and leek pie which was absolutely delicious. All very reasonably priced considering the high quality food. Look forward to my next visit whenever I next find myself in Stratford-upon-Avon.

We went when the Victoria Market was on, and even though it was very busy and waited about 40 minutes for food, the wait was definitely worthwhile as the breakfast was delicious and the staff remained upbeat even though they never stopped. Thank you

I was enjoying my large breakfast until I tasted the brown sauce from the HP Bottle. It was 100% a cheaper brand and not HP. Please put this right.

Since it's take over it's become a really good place to eat, if you can get a seat as it's very popular with the locals, I'd book ahead if you can

The food here is absolutely delicious! All home made in house, which is a refreshing change of pace. The lady that made our food was so lovely, I didn’t catch her name! We will definitely be back again!

We were looking for a lunch spot whilst visiting the Christmas market. Whilst we had to queue and wait for a table to come available it was worth the wait. The staff were running around to keep up with demand but couldn’t do enough for you. Such a friendly, welcoming place & the food was lovely. We would love to return when we come back to the area. Lovely little cafe with thoughtful friendly staff and homemade food. I had a veggie red onion quiche which was gorgeous. We were here at a very busy time so kitchen service was not fast but worth the wait.

This is the best cafe/restaurant in the whole of Stratford. The staff are phenomenal, friendly, professional and fabulous The chef is…well he is truly amazing! The chicken and leek pie was so fantastic yesterday, today we came back for more. Stuffed with tender chicken and soft buttery leeks in a light buttery pastry it is without question sheer perfection. We also did breakfast here and again, every item is cooked beautifully and is beyond super tasty. We only wish you opened Sundays! We’d drive the hour and a half for a Sunday lunch cooked by you! Roll on our next visit - we cannot wait!

Found this place based on gluten-free options. I went on a Saturday and it was very busy, despite that there was a table free. Menu had a lot of choice, and the gluten-free fish and chips were excellent. The all-day breakfast was great, it's not cheap but comparable to most cafe prices in this area. Service was great and I wasn't waiting too long for the food. If you're into milkshakes, then they do one with lots of extras. The NCP carpark is just over the road. There was a market on too.

I had a wonderful lunch at the Deli Cafe in Stratford. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the lasagne which was arguably one of the most tasty lasagnes that I had ever eaten. Scrumptious and home made with a lovely salad and at a price that felt like 20 years ago. Such great value for money. The staff are super friendly and welcoming with a special shout out the lovely Will who looked after me and made sure that I had everything I needed. I am so looking forward to coming back for a delicious lunch at a price that is easy on the wallet with the kindest staff! :-)

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have lunch after going into another place which did not come up standard. Then we came upon Deli Cafe🙂 We were welcomed by very pleasant staff, explained how they would take our when we were ready. The cafe was very clean especially after each set of customers left the premises, using antibac spray and cloth. The food was hot and service was good. The food was very fresh and tasty. Lovely traditional cafe with great food. As an Aussie I know my meat pies but I reckon the chicken and mushroom pie here was one of the best I have eaten. As a coffee snob I can also say that the coffee was v good.

Organizing a trip to Stratford I found this café on Trip Advisor with great reviews and was not disappointed. Coffee was excellent and jacket potatoes likewise. Situated in an old building on Meer Street the inside was bright and clean. Service with a smile was gratefully received. Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I were in Stratford recently and looking for somewhere to get some lunch. Gluten Free lunch. We noticed on the menu they did Gluten Free Fish and chips so we gave it a go. When the meal arrived it looked amazing and plenty of it to. It was amazing, very freshly cooked and was heaven for us to find somewhere that catered for us. Bread and butter also. They also do other Gluten Free options and we will definitely be back. Deli Cafe, keep up the good work.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch, sat outside in the sunshine, staff were attentive and food was great. Plenty of gluten free options too. Breakfast menu looked great so will back to try one of these another day.

The food was nothing memorable. Found a small hair in a sandwich we were served. They were very busy and clearly not organized to handle the busyness. We waited for a long while for a secondary portion of our meal before we decided it was no long worth waiting so we paid and left.

We picked this cafe as it looked so attractive, very pretty inside and a few tables outside for people watching and enjoying Stratford. Cafe is very clean, well decorated, decent menu, good service, staff was lovely and polite. We only had coffee, I would say price was cheap, considering in Stratford 🥰☕️ The cafe is disabled friendly m, apart from toilet, as it will be too small for wheelchair users to get in, unless there is a disabled toilet in the cafe that I didn’t see. Very friendly and attentive staff in a lovely old style restaurant/ cafe. Great selection on the breakfast menu which was cooked to order so expect a short wait for the food. When it arrived it was beautiful, hot and well presented and used locally sourced products, well worth the wait and good value for money.

It's safe to say that this place put us in a fantastic mood and we enjoyed the final day of our holiday so much more as a result, leaving us with some very happy memories of a beautiful town.

Lovely food, cooked on premises and very friendly staff

We popped here today for some lunch while exploring Stratford upon Avon. Unfortunately for us it wasn’t the best. My wife had the gluten free chicken and bacon sandwich. Sadly the chicken was very dry, and my son ordered the sausage chips and clearly asked for peas. When his meal came, it come with beans! The staff gave us a plate to scrap them off! We waited a while for our meal so there was no chance in sending it back. We just wanted to leave. Maybe we was just unlucky. But we won’t be back!

The breakfast menu is available all day along with a variety of other options. We enjoyed a traditional English breakfast for our Saturday brunch. It was extremely tasty, very generous portions and excellent value. The staff were very friendly and efficient too.

Stumbled across this little gem and wow did we drop lucky. Warmly welcomed by Debbie ( I think that’s her name) swiftly attended to, and then served the most generous, delicious, well cooked breakfast we’ve had in a very long time at a very reasonable price. The cafe is scrupulously clean, and has just a lovely air about it. We went on Monday and we were back today for the same again. If we’d have been in Stratford longer we’d have gone every day and even tried a lunch. Highly recommended and we will most definitely be back.

We were trying to find a lunch spot in Stratford for ages and luckily came across this place by chance! The staff were so kind and attentive, the food was great and a very good price. We had a baguette and a cream tea with scones! We would definitely come again!

Cannot rate food as after waiting over 20 minutes for our order to be taken, no one ever took it, despite being told someone would. I appreciate it was busy (Christmas Market weekend) however 2 separate sets of diners arrived after us and had their orders taken. Not impressed.

Poor experience on April 1st. I paid £5.95 for a tuna sandwich the tuna was on two ordinary brown wholemeal slices of bread cut diagonally. On the plate were also broken bits from a packet of crisps, a bit lettuce with one baby tomato cut in half! disgraceful. No effort at all in presentation or produce. What a rip off!

Would highly recommend visiting here. It is very welcoming, friendly, clean and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff ! The food we ordered was freshly cooked and came out hot. Lots of choice on the menu for breakfast and lunch as well as the best homemade scones and cakes we’ve had ! We will definitely be returning again xx
