Delhi Deluxe Indian Restaurant in Inverclyde

Placed an order for delivery at 19:15, it was accepted and I was told it would be delivered by 19:50. At 20:10, they emailed me to tell me they cancelled the order and I'm to expect a refund in 5 to 10 working days If you're hungry and short on cash, don't risk it

The restaurant looked close from outside, but they were actually open. It was empty. Food was good. They asked to pay either by cash or bank transfer, which looked weird.

FROZEN FOOD, LATE DELIVERY TIME Put order in at 7pm and waited Over 1hr 30mins late called down shop to be told it’s on its way 3 times food arrived and was frozen cold called back down and asked for a fresh ordered to be sent girl on phone said no they close in 30mins asked for refund to be told no I can’t do that but call back Wednesday and you can order again which I was to pay for all over again avoid this place they take your money and don’t refund you or make fresh order and staff are very rude on phone food got put in bin

Bit of a wait for delivery but was worth it, quality of food put the Saba's n waqars to shame.outstanding.

This is one of the very best indian meals we have ever had. Amazingly clean premises and friendly staff! Excellent quality, plentiful meat in the curry , As for the price it was unbelievably cheap. At our local Indian Restaurant it would have been twice the price!!

Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic absolutely lovely meal. Ordered over the website a vegetable korma, Rogan Josh, chips, rice, chicken pakoras and onion barjis and was lovely couldn't fault the meal what so ever in fact my husband said it was the best he'd ever had. So thank you so very much for making our last meal whilst staying round here a memorable one.

We popped in for a meal based on good reviews here on TripAdvisor. We received really nice service and gorgeous Indian cuisine. Lovely and mild, just as requested, and definitely a place we'd return to when in Greenock. Mushroom pakora is awesome ❣️ My only slight disappointment, having ordered vegetarian, I felt the vegetables were limited within the curry. Would have liked more, with less potato, considering there was no meat. The taste was still wonderful and next time I will ask for more veg 😊

Went here whilst on a spontaneous pass through Greenock (wouldn’t have gone anywhere near if we realised what an actual dive the place was!) It was far from cheap, but the food was ok. I wouldn’t rush back. Cash only, but strange these days. They looked busy with takeaway but we were the only table in the restaurant and it was a weekend. This meant that the female owner wouldn’t leave us alone the whole time. Wanted to tell us her life story about her inheriting her fathers business bla bla. Even after we had finished and paid she kept us talking for another half an hour until we rudely had to leave. For that reason, 2 stars and I’d never go back.

Delhi Deluxe in Greenock is the only curry place we will eat at, unless away from home. It is the tastiest indian food, the staff are wonderful and we cannot recommend it enough!

This is a fantastic place to eat. The restaurant is modern and spacious, very comfortable. Best Indian for many a mile!!! The service is second to none. Really lovely hosts The food was tremendous! Being a serial eater of Indian food all over the uk - and particularly South Shields- I am often underwhelmed when trying a new place. This is easily as good - if not better - than any Indian restaurant or take away I’ve had for many years! The mixed pakora with sauce was without doubt the very finest pakora I can ever remember. The lamb in the Baltic was perfect The naan bread and chapatis were authentic and delicious, not to mention huge. The meals we both had were exceptional. DO NOT MISS OUT IF YOU ARE ANY WHERE NEAR GREENOCK BE SURE TO COME HERE THE DELHI DELUXE , GREENOCK FANTASTIC

Was visiting a client in Greenock and saw this Restaurant had a high rating on Trip Advisor. I can definitely vouch for why. The service was excellent, and the food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious, What impressed me as much as the food was the lady in charge. She knew a lot about service, when to approach and talk to people, and sense when they want to be left alone. All in all a great experience and I will be back when I’m in Greenock again.

There was a limited choice of drinks when we visited and if this is to continue a restricted drinks menu should be issued. The main focus is on the varied menu. All in all, an enjoyable evening with friends

We thought we'd try thislittle place on a Friday night . It was dead. While every other establishment was busy or full, they were dead. I know why. Atmosphere was non existent. Greeting was forced. Service was pathetic - serious training needed or even a hint of passion about hospitality would do . Surprisingly the food was quite tasty and the nan was fresh and good . Beer was warm. Weirdly the glass was from the Fridge whilst the beer was not. Coke ordered and half a can was given. Food and service was painfully slow. My big tip for here - Order a takeaway as I assume they understand how to do that well.

Came here tonight ordered 4 meals 2 masala and chicken Maryland and a bhoona 3 rice 3 nann 4 drinks all cooked perfect and very tasty was the first time trying here but already planning next meal staff were great and wouldve been nice to have some chuntey to go with popadoms and spiced onions but was still great see u all soon

Me and my wife just had a meal. Delivery was really quick for a friday night. Every dish of food from starter to the chicken balti was first class. This is the third time ive got food from here and the standard has never dropped. I used to go to the other local indian restaurants but i feel at weekends when they are busy you dont get the same service and also if you complain they do nothing. This can be verified when you look at their weekend reviews.

Worst takeaway in greenock stinking avoid at all costs

Last night my wife and I tried this little Indian Restaurant based in Cartsburn in Greenock a bit of the beaten track, housed on the outskirts of an industrial estate, and we were not disappointed, although we were the only couple in the place, staff were very attentive and welcoming. Starters were ample, hot and tasty! We opted a portion of Vegetable Pakora and Chicken Pakora, although before that we were served complimentary Poppadoms and spiced onions, which were also very tasty! For mains I had the Chicken Rogan Josh and my wife opted for the Chicken Balti, both were very tasty and hot, along with the fried rice and Plain Naan! Drinks I had two bottle of Cobra beer and my wife had two Vodka's with cans of Diet Coke. The bill came to £40, all in all good value for money!

This is the first time I have been to Deli Deluxe. What a carry out meal, got the meal for 2 great selection plenty of food had to take 2 sittings. Will definitely be back.

Hidden just away from the main road through Greenock, close to the Victoria and East India Harbours, this is an excellent Indian restaurant. Good prices for great food. A warm friendly atmosphere.

Poor quality of food, poorly staffed and poor hygiene practice, would not recommend unless they seriously improve the way the business is run.

Do not be put off by the fact that this restaurant looks like a take-away from the outside. Inside the place is really nice, the food was good, particularly the Naan bread and main courses and the service very friendly. Would definitely visit again if I was in the area looking for good quality Indian food.Just one thing to keep in mind, they only accept cash so don't go along just with a credit card in your pocket.

Came here with my girlfriend and was not disappointed. Food was excellent and the service was just as good, very friendly and happy to help with any requests.We had 2 portions of pakora to start (chicken and mushroom), both were very tasty and lots on the plate. Then South indian chilli chicken and another main whose name escapes me, coupled with supreme fried rice and peshwari naan. Lovely! Highly recommended

Two tables only occupied on a Saturday night would suggest a place that is failing. Clean and good food, owner is very pleasant. Doesn't take cards. Hand written receipt with no VAT number. And that alone is a problem for businesses travellers so won't use again when other choices near to a major IHG hotel.

Average food, poor atmosphere, don’t take card payments. We went to eat here on a Thursday evening around 7pm. There were one other table finishing off their meal. Once they left we were alone in a quiet restaurant. Due to this the atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant. We also noticed there were a few dirty tables which hadn’t been cleaned and dried food on the floor, presumably from the night before. The staff were pleasant and friendly but ultimately this didn’t really aid to the empty restaurant which was semi clean. The food was very average and really not as flavoursome as I would expect. We took recommendations from the server so we expected these to be their best dishes. After finishing our table was cleared away and I asked for the bill. It didn’t come and so I had to ask again, when it did arrive the last straw for me was when I was told they don’t take card payment. I could either pay by cash or a bank transfer - I do not think this is acceptable. In this day and age pop up coffee shops take card payment, so I can’t understand why this place doesn’t. So in sum up. I wouldn’t go again and I can’t recommend it.

Asked for curry chips separate fried rice and tub of curry sauce guy on desk didn't understand English so I explained what I wanted when I opened it no curry sauce but a rice pudding WTF ill be back not for food for my money AVOID

Unusual recipes on their excellent menu. Very good quality food. Also has a takeaway facility. This restaurant is worth trying despite being a bit off the beaten track.

I ate here again with a colleague on Saturday night while visiting Greenock for a course. The food was easily the best Indian food I have experienced anywhere. The curries here are unique in my experience. There are many old favourites on the menu, but there are a good number of curries that I have not seen on any other menu and these are real taste explosions. I don't understand why you don't have to book months in advance to eat here, but I am glad that I can still just pop in to eat in my favourite 'Indian'.

we were looking for an Indian restaurant in Greenock and we found the menu leaflet from Holiday Inn Express, when I called to order the food I was very specific about the authenticity of Indian food and I was asking for no added sweetness and wanted the exact spices in the curry. We ordered chicken tikka tandoori masala with chapatis and chicken fried rice with chicken tikka as starter. The food was so tasty and delicious and it reminded me of home in India. Especially the dry chicken tikka was fabulous with superb marination and very softly cooked. 5 star top class Indian food in Greenock- well done ...

After a recommendation from a friend my partner and I went here on Saturday night. I was very impressed, crisp white tablecloths, clean and modern surroundings and the food was delicious. I will be returning for another fantastic meal very soon

Visited restaurant with a colleague while we were working in the area. Lovely modern dining area, friendly staff and most importantly the meals we chose were tasty and very good value. Loved the fact that the person serving us, aware that we had a business allowance made sure we didn't overspend.

When we entered the restaurant after 7pm on a Friday, it was totally empty and half the tables weren’t prepared. The music was quickly put on and our table made up. The restaurant lacks any sort of atmosphere and has a cold feel to it. No vibrant colours. The decor is rather dead. The mixed pakora was very nice and our curries were tasty but the garlic and coriander nan wasn’t good. It was very dry and spicy. It was topped with loads of roasted garlic rather than garlic butter. Not nice. This restaurant does not accept card payments which is ridiculous. No wonder the place was empty. Curries were great but nothing tempting me to ever go back.

Never eaten in but love the take out from here, and the people who deliver it are always so lovely. Easily the best Indian food I’ve tasted. The onion rings and veg korma’s are to die for (my favourite). 100% recommend!

Returned to Greenock on way back from holiday purposefully to eat at the Delhi Deluxe. The food and service didn't disappoint It was jut as fabulous as we remembered from 3 years previous

Poquito a poco habitual pero de fácil acceso. Decoración agradable y muy limpio, incluyendo los aseos! Comida servida con rapidez. Nos uno de dos mesas ocupadas, así que no puedo comentar sobre lo que sería en una noche muy concurrida también un poco más cara que la de algunos por lo tanto no dando 5 estrellas, pero sin duda podría ser meritorio.

Como puedes ver el interior, es diferente que un restaurante normalmente de la India. Es moderno, ajustado, chic, aquí y allí algunas fotos india y por otro lado la luz es un poco cursi. La comida podría ser muy bueno (no vegetarianos). Para los vegetarianos, hay suficientes opciones pero finalmente todos sabían igual. Buen servicio y gente amable. La ubicación no es tan lejos de Holiday Inn Express.
