Connor was amazing at our gin and scotch tasting today. Highly recommend especially if you're in the area for Doune Castle.

We didn't have time for the tour today but had lunch at the really nice cafeteria and my friend purchased so.e items from the gift shop. A former cotton mill, the site was converted to a distillery in 1966. It now has a world wide reputation for producing quality malt whiskey of many varieties. Situated adjacent to the River Teith. The distillery is a picturesque place, well worth a visit.

I was here for the second time today. In 2019 I did my first warehouse tour here. Since then I have continued to develop my love for whiskey. But Deanston still remains my favorite. Today we were passing through here. We only ate here briefly. The employees are super friendly. The food can only be recommended. I look forward to seeing you again. Hopefully a little longer and enjoy my Deanston at home

Popped in on Sunday afternoon while driving through and asked about a tour and tasting, we were pleasantly surprised when we were offered a private tour and tasting. Thomas was an amazing guide and the whiskey was great. I highly recommend booking a tour and spending some time here.

Really great place for lunch! Superb haggis bon bons with a whisky sauce, delicious parsnip soup (in two sizes) and the best club sandwich ever. Excellent staff and in beautiful surroundings. Good shop on the way out too. Highly recommended.

We just had an amazing tour through the warehouse with a woman sadly the whisky made me forget her name but gave us an unforgettable experience after we just got engaged from America trying whisky our first time. Very informative experience and also welcoming to us considering we never tried whisky before!

My wife her daughter & myself had the full tour of how from start to finish there whiskey is made , it was very educational our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions & at the end we sampled some beautiful whiskies, we had a great hour there learnt so much. Ps can I advise you to do your review on the following day unlike me as its been difficult to get my words out having drunk so much lovely whiskey.

We had a great time on the tour and tasting. The staff here was really accommodating. They were willing to catch us up on a tour we booked last minute and then we needed a cab back to the train station and they were super helpful in making that happen.

Sadly we did not get to do the tour. Yet, we had a great shopping experience thanks to Thomas‘ expert advice and the chance to try different spirits he selected specifically for our taste.

We had a great tour of the warehouse and felt we learnt a lot about the casks and whiskeys from a knowledgeable lad who showed us around. The tasting was super fun and the drama generous. They do some really unique whiskeys. Would highly recommend.

Haben am 09.09.23 eine "Hersteller"-Tour bei Thomas mitgemacht. Die Tour war super!!! Alles was man über die Distille wissen sollte wurde erleutert, man konnte seine Fragen loswerden/stellen und bekam fundierte Antworten. Ich kann jedem Interessierten die Tour/Distille empfehlen, diese auf seiner Schottland-Tour einzuplanen. Am Ende der Tour bekamen wir 3 Whiskey zur Verköstigung: Virgin Oak Destillers Edition 12 Jahre olsoro sherry cask 17 Jahre port cask (2 Jahre finish) Die Reihenfolge hätte ich persönlich anders gewählt, aber das war auch das einzige Manko :) Der Gutschein für den Shop wurde auch direkt eingelöst.

Went for a whisky tasting with the extremely knowledgeable Thomas. We were able to sample generous pours of 5 different whisky’s including 30 year old. Give it a try if you’re in the area.

We visited Deanston as part of a tasting tour for my husband's birthday. Our tour with Brian was informative and fun, and the tasting basic but excellent. (I appreciated the part where they packed up my tasting samples to go; it was, after all, 11:30 in the morning.) The whiskies are excellent (and some creative--aged in a tequila barrel!), the staff friendly and very helpful, and the distillery itself very interesting and environmentally friendly. We very much enjoyed our experience there and highly recommend a visit.

Best whisky distillery experience I've had to date. We had the warehouse maturation tasting experience, which was excellent value for money. 3 drams of increasingly mature whisky that we were allowed to draw from the cask ourselves (and a branded nosing glass to take home). Helen, our guide, was very knowledgeable and did a great job of answering our many questions and was really warm and helpful from when we entered the distillery until we left. Really really loved this experience.

Brilliant tour . Our Guide Molly was brilliant and really made the whole tour enjoyable with her knowledge of the history of both the actual distillery and of the whisky journey. Brilliant and great cafe to chill at the end.

Très belle visite. Elle se fait en anglais donc il faut pouvoir parler un peu, mais notre guide (Alexander) était très à l'écoute de notre compréhension. Les explications sont très intéressantes. La dégustation à la fin est adaptée. Si vous ne pouvez pas boire (enceinte, conduire une voiture), vous pouvez emporter les échantillons pour les boire plus tard. C'est très prévenant !

First ever distillery tour and loved up to expectations. Unfortunately mill house was closed for some work but our guide Peter explained every detail and process to us with a few fun dry jokes stuck in aswell, was very open to questions and had great knowledge answering the and even added a bit extra info... He also was open to a chat afterwards and shared further info and knowledge. Great experience and great whisky aswell, ended up buying 2 bottles, he recommended the tequila Cask, offered me a taster aswell and I ended up buying. Thanks Peter and highly recommend this distillery tour.

We enjoyed a great tasting at Deanston. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun, walking us through our flights. It’s a lovely building and gift shop. The only negative was that they didn’t have any of the mid-sized bottles to purchase of the scotch that we tasted. As we had luggage, just couldn’t accommodate the full size bottles. We were also disappointed that the cafe was closed. All in all though, a very nice experience.

We did a tasting (Highlands and Islands) with Sally who was knowledgeable and congenial. It was fun to try several different scotches from around the country. The building is lovely—I wish we’d had time to grab a bite in the cafe. The gift shop is very nice too with some very beautiful and quality souvenirs in addition to their whiskies.

Great experience for whisky lovers

The experience I had was excellent. I went for a guided tour through the facility which was educational, would recommend. There is also a tasting at the end. Yummy!

We have just experienced the Warehouse 4 tasting. Alistair was very knowledgeable and made the afternoon visit informative and enjoyable. We would highly recommend it to both whisky drinkers and those with less experience of drinking whisky.

Me and my wife went on the factor tour May 2023. They take you around and show you the entire process, along with a great tasting! A must stop if you are in the area. Staff was great! Free Parking

Did the Maturation Experience last week and absolutely loved it. It was fascinating to sample Deanston from ex-Bourbon casks of various ages - this is a great counterpart to the Warehouse 4 experience which I did last year. Even though he's relatively new to the whisky world, Alexander was a great guide and, as always, there's nothing better than drawing whisky straight from the cask in the atmospheric surroundings of a traditional warehouse. Unfortunately we didn't have time to linger as we had to drive up to Speyside, but I have to say out of all my whisky activities this holiday, the Deanston tasting at the warehouse ranks at the top, for the experience itself, the quality of the whisky, and the warm welcome by everyone.

My wife and I took part in the Deanston Distillery tour led by Adam. The our was informative and really interesting. Adam did a great job leading us and explaining their process. The tour ended in a tasting where we tasted three very distinct whiskys. We followed up the drinks with some lovely soup for lunch at the cafe inside. Be sure to take a walk along the River Teith, which powers the former mill that is now the distillery.

A newer distillery, in a lovely water-side setting; converted from an old cotton mill. It's family run, which is nice. Everyone we encountered from staff in the gift shop and cafe, to tour guides, we're friendly and able to answer our questions. We all enjoyed the tour. It was handy that the samples could be taken to go for the drivers in the group. The bacon rolls in the cafe were a hit before we got started on the tour aswell!

Da non perdere, la nostra guida , Alexander , ci ha condotti tutti e due (si, eravamo DUE mia moglie ed Io) attraverso tutta la Distilleria, usando un linguaggio semplice e perfettamente capibile con il ns povero English. Poi uscire con un paio di bottiglie è OBBLIGO !!!

We were there for coffee and cake and not the distillery tour, personally I don't like whisky, but the coffee and cake were worth it. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend a visit.

Did the warehouse 4 tasting. Very friendly staff, great whiskies to try and it was a great experience for whisky newbies and nerds.

If you're a whisky enthusiast and can only make time to head to one distillery near Edinburgh, choose Deanston. Brian was an excellent guide during the Warehouse 4 tour, and I got to taste some pretty old and unique whiskey. If you're driving, they also are generous with the sample bottles, so you'll be able to bring everything back to the hotel or wherever else. Very easy to recommend.

Eine junge Brennerei in einem ehemaligen Fabrikgebäude. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und die Tour sehr interessant. Meiner Meinung nach einen Besuch wert.

For a whisky lover who has seen several distilleries already, the Warehouse experience at Deanston is brilliant! Sitting between the barrels, with smells of maturing spirits, sampling some really unique whiskies was perfect! Had the fortune to be the only one this day as well.

Went here yesterday with my husband. What an educational and enjoyable experience. Brian is an amazing tour guide. Our first ever distillery tour and we loved it. The taste testing at the end and the way Brian introduced us to wach of the testing ones helped us to understand the each individual ones. As a non whiskey drinker he found one that I loved and purchased. Well worth a visit. Thank you Brian and we will recommend your distillery to all our family and friends.

The Warehouse Tasting was fantastic! All the whiskies we tasted were delicious, and the best part was that we didn’t have to finish them while we were there — we were given bottles to take the remainder of our samples home. The stemmed souvenir glass was an added bonus.

Really lovely Christmas market today. Could have spent a lot more if I hadn't already bought Xmas presents and if I had wanted a gift from Santa. Will definitely go again next year. Distillery shop and café were also very festive; really buzzing and we were there towards the end of the afternoon.

Went for Winterfest. Really nice wee market and brass band.

A great tour great staff and great whisky Slainte!

We visited for a guided tasting in late September. We had a great time. We did the Deanston family tasting, which was educational and fun. We really enjoyed it. It's clear the staff at the distillery take a lot of pride in their whisky and they enjoy sharing it with visitors. The gift shop was lovely too. We brought home a bottle of a distillery exclusive whisky, and we're so glad we get to enjoy a piece of Deanston at home. If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth a visit!

Pretty interesting. Felt rushed a bit and it would have been nice to get some better samples, but for the price it was fair.

The distillery was very interesting to see. Me and my dad especially loved the giant turbine, which generates their power. We loved this sustainable solution and also the reuse of the existing building from the cotton industry. The overall experience was good, but we did find that the overall attention to detail could be a bit better. E.g. Some illustrations to explain the proces would have been nice

Fantastic tasting, and they were great about letting us sample some really amazing distillery-only whisky which we were not foolish enough to leave without.

Went a few weeks ago for the Distillery tour and the warehouse experience and it was fantastic. The 2 guides, I think it was Sally and Erin (apologies if wrong) were clearly passionate about their jobs, were extremely knowledgeable and a credit to the business. The whisky itself was superb, as a lover of smoky whisky, I was recommended a bottle of Ledaig, which is excellent. Overall I would highly recommend this experience.

Food absolutely delicious . Was looking forward to having homemade custard cream which I had on previous visit which was best I've ever tasted ,owner said he would need to make them again We had lentil soup which was lovely then coffee and cakes 100% recommend.

Well worth the stop. The staff are friendly and the whisky is definitely worth the stop. We got 3 bottles bit unfortunately did not go on the tour but the people coming out of it seemed well pleased with the tour and they purchase couple bottles of whisky on the way out.

Warehouse 4 Experience is nice, our host Erin is so friendly. If you are already familiar with the production process and just want more tasting section, don’t miss the chance to drink in the warehouse and directly from the cask!

We didn't do the tour, but just stopped for a lunch. Supernice staff and good food (soup) at a very good price. Recommended!

We visited a few distilleries during our recent vacation. This was the best. Did the tour and then tastings. Loved the more laid back approach and the chance to hang out and talk with the people making the whisky. Having a place to eat after those tastings is a great idea.

Good distillery, nice range of whisky

The distillery, a former cotton mill, is set in the most beautiful location beside the stunning River Teith. Our tour guide, Peter, was excellent - passionate and very knowledgeable about the product and was able to answer any questions we had. The tastings at the end of the tour were a great education and I particularly enjoyed sampling the 18 year old whisky. The staff in the gift shop were so very helpful and the food in the cafe was delicious. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.

The deanston destilliery is worth a visit. The guided tour was really cool, informative and the smell of the distillery in every corner was awesome. It feeled like our guide peter did know everything you can know about the distillery and even as foreign visitors we have understand him really well. The tasting at the end was also funny! I can recomment it. Price is totally ok for what you get.

The Tour we booked was very nice! Andie did a great job of showing us the Distillery, not shy of answerkng any questions! Very unconventional distillery with a nice industrial vibe to it! Recommend the visit. Cheers.
