I frequently dine/drinks at Dean Street. Our server George Pugh is so lovely and we enjoyed our dining experience so much more! Many thanks to George.

Delicious roast beef and fabulous staff and ambience

Very disappointing Tea experience. Even though we had a reservation booked well in advance, they sat us in the absolute worst table in the place. The seats were so low it was like sitting on the floor. But the worst part was it was right next to a private room that was having a kids birthday party. It was very loud and chaotic. Kids and parents constantly coming and going. Ruined the vibe.

Beautiful surroundings. Spacious yet cosy. Attentive and friendly team. Lovely food and drink.

Looks great but tables are very close together and there’s a lot of ambient noise. The food is good but don’t expect much more than what you could make at home. The service was great and the staff lovely. Value for money given its central London probably about 3.5-4 out of 5

Dean Street Townhouse has a good "vibe" and service is very attentive but the quality of the food and portion size for the priced charge is just about fair. I had the monkfish and prawn curry and the portion was on the small size (mainly sauce) and cold, for £26 I'd expect more. Definitely other spots in Soho I'll be visiting before returning here.

I had the best fish and chips ever. Everything was of great quality. Outstanding service, spectacular cutlery , dinnerware etc. Fabulous decoration. Quite expensive, but will definitely come back (for the fish and chips...)

Love the all day breakfast in the comfy chairs. Great toast, black pudding, eggs, sausages, tomatoes. One of my favourite experiences in London. Laid back luxury.

Lovely atmosphere, service and food. Never disappoints! Great location in Soho too! Even just to have a cocktail at the bar is special!

Delicious and reasonably priced afternoon tea. Well-made sandwiches and scones with real cream and jam.

I felt sorry for the staff, seemed run off their feet and wine never turned up, multiple times to ask for things, waiter was very friendly however. Food average. Won’t be returning to this old favourite, sadly.

Excellent dinner, really great service. We both had salads which were delicious. Saw the steak heading to another table, which looked amazing so will definitely be coming back to try that!

Loved the restaurant, food and service were very good, and they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions too. Sticky toffee pudding is great! Worst thing is using Open Table system for reservations because every time you confirm or make a reservation, you have to go through to confirm the choices for privacy. Open Table needs to improve its antiquated technology - repeat customers should have make those choices ONCE and then it should be stored in their accounts. Open Table has other information on their customers stored in their system, why cannot this be stored also ?

Menu simple and varied options to cater for all tastes and preferences. Fantastic service by the young man who was our waiter. Very knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant to deal with. Lovely staff at the bar too.

My burger was overcooked and the bun was really soggy.

i sat down at my table at 19:05 ordered by 19:10 watched a couple walk in and sit around 19:15 maybe even later. i order a appetizer and a drink and was planning on ordering my entree after i get my appetizer. 30 minutes goes by and the same couple i watched sit down just received their food. my waiter comes back to my table and asks me if im ready to order i said im waiting for the appetizer first he said okay . some more time goes by and i asked my waiter hey do you know how long ? he said “ how long for what “ i said for my food he said hold on and went to go ask kitchen and came back saying it was going to be 10 more minutes and asked if thats alright i said sure by this time the couple that i watched sit down was done eating . my appetizer was nothing complicated, two scallops on the plate with a little veggies and crumbs on top . scallops werent even cooked pretty sure it was a safe to eat raw scallop situation which took me by complete surprise when it took over 50 minutes to come. the experience at this restaurant almost completely ruined my first day in london luckily when i left i saw a red telephone booth and that brightened up my mood . the guy host working that night was very friendly and welcoming. but as someone from nyc one of THE most busiest cities in the world it should never take 50 minutes for two raw scallops on a plate . such a disappointment and waste of time

Amazing cocktails from Guido Had champagne and then cocktails from Guido - he made "off menu" drinks for us (Appletinis) which we're the best ever! Super friendly and brilliant service.

Great place for breakfast. Decent food, nice breakfast, but the atmosphere and service make up for anything else. It feels old school and charming. Our waiters were attentive and although we waited too long for the food at a busy time, they came back to us and kept us informed. We’d definitely visit again.

The food is amazing, quite traditional, but very tasty. Price is good and portion sizes excellent. Its has a lovely atmosphere. The waiter was lovely

FAB-U-LOUS! Firstly very attentive and friendly staff. Ola on reception was fantastic at looking after us and securing us a nice quiet table - Thank you, Ola. The bartender (blonde normally works as a waiter) nothing was too much bother for him either. The Maitre'd, a lovely Greek chap, Super friendly and attentive with a good sense of fun. The food was great and tasted wonderful. The attentiveness of the staff really made the dining experience first-class. Would definitely recommend and return. You may think this type of venue is expensive, but it is not, I had fish and chips for £20.00 - comparable to other London venues, but the ambiance and the staff make this a truly lovely experience Thank you all

Hi this is the second time while visiting London center we have eaten at the townhouse it simply super. As we had eaten here before chose it for my birthday 🎉. Waiter was excellent food brilliant relaxing enjoyable night out. Perfect for a romantic dinner or for meeting friends for dinner. Excellent food and drink choices good for a night out. Really enjoyed complimentary chocolates lovely touch and would thoroughly recommend dark chocolate with salted caramel Devine truffles.

Very busy and quite noisy (Saturday night) but food came out tasty and hot and service was fantastic. The waiter( young guy with an Italian ( I think) accent was great.’c cheerful, smiling

I had the salmon which was great, my son had the rib eye which was superb, and the drinks also great. An abundance of attentive staff.

Lovely ambience and staff were kind and efficient. Was surprised that the £28 advertised for afternoon tea became £42 each with a house glass of wine and VAT. Food was nice enough, but it’s the building, ambience and service which stood out.

We celebrated my mother’s birthday with an afternoon tea. They gave us a lovely table by the fire and could not have been kinder or more welcoming. It made my mother feel so special. The tea was lovely too!

The only thing I would say is that everything is amazing But the service could be better

Have always enjoyed my meals here but something was just off for tea this time. We all (3) had full champagne tea but one person has dietary restrictions (clearly stated on menus to inform server and they will try to adjust). The manager came over and said there was nothing they could do - no chef was on duty and the food was set as is. I somewhat understand that it is what it is but some adjustments to the sandwiches could’ve been made.

Excellent atmosphere, and some fantastic food on the menu mate it so hard to choose. The steak tartare, chicken and mushroom pie, and rice pudding were all excellent! Special mentions for their Negroni cocktail, as strong as it should be.

Got to love DST. Such a great venue, night or day. Ambience is fantastic, great buzz.

We wasn't sure what to expect. Coats were taken when arrived and taken to our table. We loved the ambience of the place. The waiter was very helpful, chatty and attentive. We only ordered two courses. To start warm bread arrived. The dover sole was filleted by the waiter. The overall meal was delicious.

We were asked if we had any allergies which we haven’t and I recommended something on the menu that I had the previous month, prawn curry monkfish with rice that is what it says on the menu but the rice came with peas so they had to be picked out annoyingly as there wasn’t rice without peas. If you do not like peas you wouldn’t choose them on the menu, the prawn and monkfish curry was ok but not great. Everything else fabulous.

Great ambiance and interior. Sunday evening dining so relatively quiet. Slow service to start but waiters very attentive once orders placed. One meal was late/missed from order? Last minute additional diner accommodated. Overall a very nice evening.

Amazing roast as always. Food came very quickly and service was great.

Everything was lovely but I would change the recipe for the roast potatoes. They felt air fried and were quite dry and tasteless. The rest of the dinner was perfect but these let it down especially when they are the favourite part of a roast

My second trip here. Staff not at all enthusiastic nor do they appear interested or motivated. Food good but not a good value. Strongest asset is decor and location.

Came for dinner for two after a show at Ronnie Scott’s. The restaurant is classy and well run with very good waiters. We had a couple of decent cocktails and a bottle of dry white to accompany some oysters followed by Dover sole grilled. We both found the food a bit uninspiring. The oysters were ok but not lip smacking how you expect them to be when you order the king of seafood. The Dover sole was poorly seasoned and rather dull. A shame as we both like the Townhouse and the venue deserves a better standard. But we enjoyed the evening and will return.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. It reminds me of the fun we had there some years ago when I was a young producer at the BBC living the dream. It is still as buzzy and atmospheric as ever and I loved bringing my triplet children here to celebrate their 23 rd birthday. They felt the buzz similarly and we were brilliantly looked after by the staff members who were kind, smiley, warm and fun. The menu is just what I like - the boys adored the Beef Wellington special, I loved the oysters and steak tartare,... there's something for everyone and it was delicious to boot! We feel very lucky to be able to do something like this for a birthday celebration - it was a treat of the highest order which I highly recommend.

We had an incredibly rude lady greet us as we came in. She was very dismissive and made us feel like she was better than us. This set the tone for the evening unfortunately. Gutted as I love coming here.

Really disappointing We ordered small plates of starters and snacks and they were all completely tasteless. The only good thing was the chips! The potted shrimp tasted terrible and almost as if it were slightly old.

I had an exceptional dining experience at Dean St Townhouse! The ambiance was delightful, and the staff's attentiveness truly stood out. The pancake day special was a treat. The twice-baked soufflé was a perfect balance of creamy and airy, while the duck leg with lentils showcased a rich, savory blend. The side of mash was impeccable. My friend enjoyed the chicken, and we both left thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommend for a memorable evening!

Regular here. Food reliably good. Service good. Price reasonable. Am a fan but on this occasion we were allocated the back room with ridiculously low stools. As my friends and I are no longer in the first flush being seated so low was frankly unacceptable. The charming maitre’d had apparently tried to help when he saw our antiquity but failed. Just get rid of them - no-one whatever their age should be so uncomfortable. If it’s an issue for you - check before you book.

Brilliant experience, part of my birthday celebrations and it was lovely. Beautiful Sunday lunch and finished off with a happy Birthday plate and chocolates. Will definitely go again. Staff are lovely food is really good.

there is an old Victoria Wood sketch called 'Two Soups', which is exactly what the waitress said as she brought our soups to the table. But we had to send them back as they were lukewarm. They were replaced with hot and steamy soups. I was a guest so didn't pay, but I hope the cost of the soups was taken off the bill. They should have been. Two of our party had fish and chips. Huge portion of haddock. But placing the battered haddock on top of mushy peas meant that part of the batter got soggy. The restaurant was as noisy as one would expect a crowded restaurant in London on a very busy Saturday night to be.

All the staff from when we walked in to the service were excellent, so attentive and genuinely interested in what we going to order and what our plans were for after dinner, lovely staff ! Delicious Sunday roast and lots of it ! Will be back again very soon , thank you to all the staff at Dean Street!

A mixed experience! The food was great and a complex allergy was catered for without any fuss which was simply fantastic. However our waitress was genuinely dreadful. I understand it’s a hard job but she brought the wrong tea twice, didn’t bring extras of what we asked for, never apologised or checked on us and it felt like everything was just too much trouble for her. The food was nice, although the bread was very dry so had clearly been prepared long in advance. Chicken and tarragon sandwiches were absolutely outstanding though. And the parlour is a really lovely place to sit and enjoy an afternoon.

Service was exceptional, staff do an amazing job. I had mushroom risotto which was nice but portion was quite small for a main and nothing special.

Had awful table right next to door and arrived at 5.30 .

Great service, afternoon tea was delicious. Scones and desserts were fresh and tasty. Their cocktails are also really nice though a little weak.

Afternoon Tea consisted of three finger sandwiches which were tasty, one bun with Jam and rather hard cream and three small cakes, pot of tea two and a half cups. I did get a phone call the previous day for any dietary requirements and was asked again by the waiter, which I felt was good. Cost was £28.00 plus a 15% Service Charge Total £31.78 good value in comparison to Claridge's £90 not so much in comparison to The Bentley Hotel in Holland Park £50 for two people, my cost was for one person. Virgin Experience Days are currently offering a further 20% off the price or you can book direct.

Went for lunch. It was very busy, which added to the great atmosphere and not at all too noisy. Great food and great service. Definitely recommend.

Just sat outside for a drink. Is nice enough, but no table service so had to go into bar and get own drink etc. - which is fine, but then they had the cheek to add service charge. Didn’t notice until after paid. I have no issue with paying service charge usually, but there was no service, was the equivalent of ordering at any pub and then paying an extra £5+ for the pleasure.

Always a pleasure dining here, the Sunday roast is a must!

Had a Full English here on Sunday and my girlfriend had the Eggs Benedict. Atmosphere was really nice. Food was excellent, very tasty.

Excellent in every way. We were booked for afternoon tea for three people. Lovely table next to the log fire, which was regularly refulled. Stunning decor. Very nice friendly and attentive staff. The afternoon tea and champagne was perfect. Thank you everyone.

A solid 4. Shame they can’t pick and choose the clientele, as they had a rough scouse bint sat outside, who was far too obnoxious even for her own friends.
