De Courceys Manor in Cardiff

My daughter had her wedding there, brilliant place and the staff went above and beyond. The best wedding I have ever been to and would recommend this venue to anyone.

Always amazing food & service. Delicious Sunday roast yesterday, and as they don't do them every week, it's advisable to follow their socials so you know when they are happening. Highly recommended 👌

Was kept waiting for over 15 minutes in the lifeless reception then greeted by a frosty receptionist who bruskly advised me no room was available

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch. Storm Isha was in full swing. We were greeted at the door by a very polite young man who showed us to a waiting area by a bar which felt like someone's front room, very cosy. He took our drinks order, which arrived quickly. After about twenty minutes, all the guests were ushered into the dining area, which really could do with a refresh. The tables were neatly set out with a small plater of butter softening on the table top for the hot bread roll. Service was quick, My wife had the fish goujons, which were very good, and I had the chicken pate. The main course consisted of roast beef dinner and salmon fillet with a large plate of vegetables and gravy. Everything was piping hot and very well prepared with crunchy vegetables, tender beef, and perfectly seared salmon. The portions were quite generous. For dessert, I had sticky toffee pudding, and my wife had citrus loaf followed by a choice of tea or coffee. The whole experience was very good with friendly and attentive staff and very well presented food. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience .

An absolutely fantastic location for our Great Nieces wedding. Cottage's we're lovely and welcoming with the supplies for the guests. Staff were very helpful, thoughtful and obliging.

We got married here on the 21st October 2023, and we are so happy we did! The most incredible and personal experience we could ever ask for! From the moment we viewed the venue, where we got to meet Lewis we just knew this was the perfect venue for our wedding. Nothing was ever to big of an ask, Lewis and the team went above and beyond. I stayed in the prep and Pamper suite the night before, I would highly recommend. The details that were left in the room for us blew me away. We had a little bag each of toiletries, robe, slippers. Tea & coffee fully stocked with biscuits. The fridge was stocked with water, juice, milk and prosecco. Loved the fact there was an indoor and outdoor speaker too. The make up and hair stations are perfect. The wedding day itself was out of this world! Lewis & Nicola were amazing you were both our fairy god parents on the day. You sorted our suppliers, ensured every detail was spot on and kept our belonging safe. The customer service from all of the staff over that weekend was fantastic. What an incredible team! We loved the little touch when we went up to our room the night of the wedding and there was a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us. The food well what can we say..it's unreal, cooked to perfection! Chris and his team did an outstanding job. You all made us feel like royalty and we can't thank you enough. WOW, what can I say. My daughter just had her wedding here and it was the best day ever. Stayed the night before and had the wedding the following day. From the time we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The organisation was beyond belief, the food was amazing and the service impeccable. The team go above and beyond to make sure the day is really special and I would definitely recommend it for any event you may be thinking of holding.

Lovely location and looks a great wedding venue, I booked whilst working locally for work and didn't realise it would be empty and no food, however I'm sure this was mentioned somewhere but I booked via a 3rd party, there's info of local pubs etc to eat at but I ended up getting a pizza delivered, pretty sure I have the whole venue to my self, cottages a good size and done nicely

WOW! When hunting for our special venue for our wedding day, still to this day 2 years later my new husband and I cannot get over the feeling we felt when we first drove up to De Courceys Manor. We both had butterflies in our stomachs and still feel like that today. From our first meeting with Lewis, he was AMAZING. There are no other words we can use to sum up how amazing he was/is. Nothing was too much for him & he would answer all our questions that we had. The advice he gave and support we received from Lewis and the team around him was mind blowing. During the time of us wedding planning, I fell pregnant had our baby girl, and fell ill which resulted in me being in hospital a few weeks before our Wedding. Lewis and his team were so accommodating and supported us throughout. We provided them with things we would like and Lewis and the team at DCM got it done. They were fantastic, so understanding with our circumstances at the time and supported us through every decision. Fast forward to our special day, everyone was wonderful. Abi, Nicola, Lewis and the rest of the team was so polite and helpful. Again, nothing was too much trouble for them and they would always make sure that we and our guests were happy. Lewis helped with the groomsmen putting on the buttonholes, Nicola (Hoping that we got her name right) to helping me with my shoes and dress. Abi being an all rounder and checking in on me and my bridal party the morning of our wedding. The food was AMAZIING! Absolutely delicious, all the guests still are talking about the food nearly a month on! Also, everyone are still staying how amazing the day was thanks to the staff at DCM. Visited De Courceys Manor on the weekend for a wedding, and stayed the night in their on-site cottages. Stunning venue and perfect for the wedding. Food was amazing and staff were very accomodating, too. The cottage was spacious and welcoming, with everything you needed for a one night stay. A big thank you to Katie who served us, and was very helpful when I had issues with my card being accepted when buying some drinks.

I can’t explain how amazing this venue is! De Courceys really is just beautiful! It’s so intimate and private, just a perfect setting for a wedding. When we started to look at venues De Courceys was the first place we viewed. And from the moment we met with Abigail, we both said how special we were made to feel. We knew from that initial meeting that it was the venue for us! Throughout the 2years of planning Abigail was always just an email or call away, we visited the venue numerous times and nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day we were lucky enough to have the option of having the ceremony in the new secret garden… all I can say is WOW! It is just incredible. Such a special area and perfect on a summers day. The staff make this venue what it is, Nicola was amazing on our special day. She felt like part of the wedding party. Every single staff member cannot do enough for you and the guests. Also a special mention to Rachel, who made me feel so at ease when i was sent into panic over our singer waiter… with everyone being outside. Rachel soon sorted that and everything worked out perfectly! Our day was just the most perfect day we could ever ask for! The amount of guests that have said it was the best wedding they’ve been to, has just been so heart warming and that’s down to this stunning venue and the people who run it! Cannot recommend De Courceys Manor enough 🫶🏽 Thank you again so much… we can’t wait to come up and visit for one of your lunches!

There are not enough positive words in the world to describe how wonderful De Courceys Manor is. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more. From the moment we arrived and met Abigail, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. The grounds and venue itself is simply stunning and the space is just fantastic for a wedding. When you get married at De Courceys, you and your guests really feel you are part of the most special event ever. That’s because the staff make you feel like this. The attention to detail is nothing short of exceptional. Even down to the fact that the staff all pop the corks off your bubbly at the same time for your toasts, the noise is quite something! All our guests were completely blown away. The food choices are awesome and the taste and quality is second to none. No question was ever too much, nothing was ever too much trouble and we knew we had nothing to worry about on the big day because we knew De Courceys had all the information and we were in the safest hands. Even with the last minute arrangement of a glow in the dark crazy golf experience, everything went as smoothly and was even better than we thought. The accommodation is beautiful and the pamper and prep suite is a luxury to have the morning of the wedding. We cannot recommend De Courceys highly enough and we can’t wait to come back for Sunday lunch soon!

Arranged Sunday lunch for a party of 25 for my mother's birthday. Greeted with a warm welcome. Excellent food. Excellent service. Great value for 3 courses. Would definitely recommend.

I have photographed many weddings at De Courceys Manor including a family wedding and I can honestly say it is one of the best venues anywhere in Wales. The buildings and grounds are maintained to a very high standard, Lewis and his team are exceptionally good at what they do and nothing is too much trouble for them. If I was getting married this is certainly a venue I would definitely use.

What an amazing venue for my party. We had 47 guests including 2 children. Abigail and Lewis were extremely helpful with the planning. I chose a Sunday Lunch. The choices were really good, a number of my guests came back saying their mouths were watering just reading the options. On the day the venue was beautifully prepared just as we'd agreed. The chef came out to meet us and we loved his passion and pride in his food. It was justified. The food was delicious, and plentiful. Everyone was very complimentary about the whole afternoon. One of our guests sent me a message to pass on: ‘If you’re feeding back to De Courcy’s can you say the staff were superb. Polite, efficient, unobtrusive and very helpful. They are a credit to them’ I cannot praise Abigail and the team highly enough. It was a day to remember and I would recommend anyone to book with De Courceys for a special event. And we will certainly return for a Sunday lunch there soon.

As a wedding photographer you get to see a lot of venues (and taste a lot of wedding day meals) but the food at De Courseys stands out as one of the best. Really lovely venue that look after the couple, guests and photographers. The options and locations for bride and groom photos are also really varied without having to go too far at all.

Wow!!! Where do we start…. From the first time we viewed De Courceys Manor we knew it was the one for us, we fell in love with it instantly. Due to COVID we had a to postpone our wedding on multiple occasions but when the day finally arrived it was absolutely perfect! Abigail, Lewis and the team couldn’t do enough for us and our guests. Everything was amazing. The team went above and beyond not only for us but our guests also. The venue is stunning, plenty of space for guests to spread out. The food was out of this world and could easily compete with a Michelin starred restaurant!! Everyone asked me if I was nervous and I can honestly say that I wasn’t but this was because I knew the De Courceys team had everything in hand and under control as they’re perfectionists, we were not just another wedding, we were part of De Courceys family. Most of our guests have said ‘it’s the best wedding and venue they have ever been to’ Abigail, Lewis and team you really did make our dream wedding become reality and we can’t thank you enough!

I dont think there are enough positive words to explain our experience at this venue. From start to finish we had the most amazing time. From lovely welcoming staff, friendly bar staff, efficient waitors and amazing chefs. The food was exquisite and every course was outstanding. Attended a Christmas party here, was not served the correct food. I informed one of the young male servers and he told me that there were the correct numbers of soup on the table, some guests couldnt remember what they had ordered ( nothing to say names and orders on the table just a list of how many of each had been ordered. As a result I did not get what I wanted and had ordered as other people had the starters just placed in front of them and started eating them! Food however was good just not enough veg with the mains and portion size could of been a bit bigger,service was in my opinion, awful. Some examples of this were leaning over to get glasses, cutlery, plates practically dropped on to the table… Seemed very inexperienced to be dealing with large groups of people. Also staff were in a rush to clear tables we were not allowed to keep the cheese they cleared it, didn’t get a coffee as they came around once and then disappeared. Venue was also freezing in the corridors and toilets. Beautiful venue, service at the table was very poor. Bar staff friendly and efficient. Probably won’t return.

An outstanding venue with real attention to detail. DeCourceys hosted our business meeting and Christmas meal. Outstanding food with great flavour. Rachel, Lewis and their staff did everything to make this a very memorable occasion.

We got married here 25 years ago, and take the opportunity to revisit whenever we can to eat there. We went for Sunday lunch on 4th December and it was outstanding. The service is attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious with good portions. Scrupulously clean everywhere, and a beautiful, classy setting. Love it!

Sunday lunch..lovely food ..well cooked, tasty and hearty portions. The staff were excellent could not fault them and the room layout makes it very special. I recommend this venue. If you go please be respectful..no trainers, jeans, shorts or other such attire. Keep it special and dress smart .

Went to a wedding held here and was very surprised by the venue. The rooms were tastefully decorated and plush. The food was good and obviously they offer many different menus. The price of alcohol for the venue is reasonable for a five star event....

Stayed here for family wedding. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. Food, drinks, atmosphere and especially staff, who couldn't do enough to help with anything we asked. We stayed in 2 of the cottages which were clean, so comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, food at the wedding was delicious. Cannot recommend the venue and the staff highly enough.

We attended here for a wedding in August and feel we have to comment on how fantastic the whole event was. The venue is great, with fab rooms and everything easy to access. Special mention has to go to the staff - as they work SOOOO hard and are always on the go - with smiles on their faces. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Fab decorations for the special event. The food was lovely and well presented, with plenty of variety to suit everyone. The price of drinks was reasonable as well and not "normal hotel prices", so thanks for that. Definitely a place to recommend.

We stayed for a family wedding and wow what service we were given from the minute we arrived. Venue is stunning and staff exceptional in responding to every request. We stayed in the cottage which was modern well equipped and luxurious in its decor and accessories. Such a difference to our previous night in a nearby hotel. Had Sunday Lunch here on the 25th July 2021. Best Sunday Lunch ever great taste of home cooked food. Home made stuffing and gravy which is unusual these days. Lovely fresh veg and tender meat. Starters and pudding to die for. Staff were very friendly, we weren't rushed as they only did one sitting. Beautiful grounds and ten newly built cottage style stunning bedrooms. If you haven't been here you must go you won't be disappointed. I can see why it was voted as the best wedding venue they deserve it. We definitely recommend DeCourcys.

Absolutely brilliant so relaxing and the staff are brilliant

Had the most amazing day here for our wedding on July 3rd. Rachel and all the team have been amazing to deal with through out. The day felt totally normal and the current Covid restrictions didn’t effect the day at all. We definitely recommend any couples worrying to go ahead this year as the day could not have gone any better. Exceeded all our expectations. All our guests commented on how amazing the whole day was and how friendly and lovely the staff were. Food and service was excellent and could not have asked for a better day.

We got married at de courceys on the 6th of June. Since we got back from honeymoon we wanted to write a review for de courceys Manor. We still can not put into words what Rachel, Lewis, abi and their team of staff did for us on and the months leading up to our big day.I'm just going to leave you all with this. The Manor and the grounds are amazing.The cottages and bridelsweat were 5 star quality.The chef and his team are absolutely brilliant and the food is immense, banging.The whole team at de courceys treated my family like we were their family and you don't get that anywhere else. If your looking to get married I could not recommend a better venue.

Such a lovely place. Being the first large wedding since the Covid restrictions was always going to be a stressful affair but the DeCourceys staff had everything organised to perfection. In many ways, the new arrangements of marquees etc. made for a much more relaxed atmosphere than being totally indoor (good weather helped there). The dinner was absolutely amazing, although service was delayed a little by the staff having to transport it a lot further than it would normally have been. The venue did our son and new daughter proud on their big day. Thank you DeCourcey Manor.

It truly was the best day!They have been nothing but supportive through this crazy time, any questions or any requests were always answered and catered for. My whole family would to give a huge thank you to Rachel, Lewis, Abi and all the staff for a fantastic wedding weekend for our stunning daughter, everything about this venue and more importantly the staff is FIVE STAR. They absolutely catered for just about everything and nothing was too much trouble. The venue itself is definitely five star set within its own grounds it is the most picturesque wedding venue and in addition it has rooms and apartments to accommodate not only the bride & groom, family but also 7 detached bungalows. Everything is spotlessly clean and the food is outstanding, we will never forget not only our fabulous wedding but also this venue and the all round service provided by Rachel and all her staff, so on behalf of my wife and I would like to give our heartfelt thanks to everyone concerned and we would definitely recommend this venue. Im not often super impressed by many eating establishments. Some earn 5 stars for good food and service, which is well deserved, but, De Courceys Manor would get 6 stars from us if it was an option. Superb personal service from a family team that are truly passionate about their business and just want to please their patrons, not easy in the current climate of social distancing, facemasks and reduced staffing levels. Definitely will be making sunday lunch here a regular treat. Thankyou for a lovely meal and wonderful service.

The Building was very impressive as we drove along the drive to the front entrance. The staff were friendly and welcoming and served as drinks on arrival. We were shown in to the Dining Room . The food was excellent and the table was decorated to a high standard. The guests on our table were very friend and we all had a very entertaining and enjoyable evening.

We visited De Courceys for a Sunday lunch. We were well received. The bar is lovely with smiling faces happy to serve. Our order was taken at the bar. We were taken to our table. A very elegant set up of the dining room. Warm bread of different flavours served. Starters soon after arrived and drink orders did too. Then we had the main course. All food was hot and served promptly. Desserts followed. Amazing and prompt service with smiling faces. Very nice highly recommended if you like a relaxing Sunday lunch with lovely views.

We celebrated my mothers 60th birthday but having a Sunday lunch at De Courceys.We were all very impressed. The venue itself was beautiful. The service was excellent from every member of staff and the food was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with each of their 3 courses. They were also very GF friendly - the GF bread was very good and they also had GF croutons in the soup (which was a bonus and we don't see very often).It has a very nice relaxed vibe (I think they only do one sitting) and we didn't feel rushed at any point. We will certainly return for a Sunday Lunch again!

The team at De Coursesys were excellent right from booking out wedding to the actual day itself. Private venue, great food and fabulous staff.

What a lovely Sunday lunch. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and taken to the lounge area whilst we waited for our table. A good selection of Sunday lunch choices , delicious food. 6 of us chose various meals and there were clean plates all around. The staff were second to none, they couldn’t have made our afternoon any better. I’m looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you.

From the moment we went to a wedding Fayre at De Courceys Manor in January 2018, the place felt completely different to all the other venues we’d looked at. The manor itself is just gorgeous in every way, perfect for our winter wedding but what made DCM completely different was how we were treated from the moment we met Lewis. Instead of just being another couple, Lewis, Abi and the whole team really made an effort to get to know Paul and I, find out the type of couple we are and what we were looking for from our wedding. There was no pre set packages that we had to fit into, it was all about us and how DCM could create a perfect, unforgettable day that reflected us as a couple. Lewis has the best sense of humour and we instantly felt comfortable, like we’d known him forever. This continued throughout the planning and prep, Lewis and Abi were on hand whenever we had questions or wanted to pop in and they were absolutely the reason we booked with DCM above all else. Throughout the process we were supported, guided and advised and ultimately, DCM could not have done enough for us, they created the most incredible, perfect wedding day which ran like a dream. Nothing was too much trouble and every little detail was taken care of for us. We got married on 21st December 2019 and although it was close to Christmas which is one of their busiest times, on the day, everything was turned round so quickly with the team delivering a 5 star service. During the wedding breakfast, food service ran like clockwork with everything coming out to guests without a hitch. The food is one thing we have to highlight, simply incredible from start to finish, our guests haven’t stopped talking about it! We also were able to stay at the venue the night before and they accommodated guests who were travelling down even though they had a Christmas party on which we were so grateful for. We also have to give a huge thank you to Mary, Nicola and all the staff who worked during our day, they treated us like princes and it was a complete honour to share the day with them.We cannot thank DCM enough, from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful for everything they’ve done, the day was a complete dream come true and it’s really no wonder that this magical venue has so many awards, you really cannot get better. Our guests have said how wonderful the venue was with many saying it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to from a decor, service and food point of view. De Courceys are first class in every way and we couldn’t be happier, the memories we’ve made are so special and it’s all thanks to them. If you’re considering venues for your wedding, you will not find a more accommodating, special place than this, we can’t wait to return to see the team in the future and see the exciting new extension they have planned. Recientemente elegimos DeCourceys para nuestra pequeña boda de invierno y sin duda fue el mejor lugar para la boda que podríamos haber elegido. Desde la primera visita donde Lewis nos mostró el lugar hasta la mañana siguiente a nuestra boda, el lugar y el personal fueron perfectos todo el tiempo. Abi y Lewis siempre estuvieron a la mano antes de la boda para responder cualquier pregunta que tuviéramos, fueron muy flexibles para adaptarnos el paquete de bodas de invierno y siempre nos sentimos tan seguros y seguros en sus manos expertas. We recently chose DeCourceys for our small winter wedding and it was undoubtedly the best wedding venue we could have chosen. From the first visit where Lewis showed us around the venue to leaving the morning after our wedding, the venue and staff were perfect the entire time. Abi and Lewis were always on hand in the run up to the wedding to answer any questions we had, they were so flexible in tailoring the winter wedding package to us and we always felt so reassured and secure in their expert hands. We met with Abi for our pre wedding consultation and she was just incredible, nothing felt like too much trouble, she offered us great advice and reassurance and is clearly very talented at what she does. On the day, the service staff were fantastic, lots of our guests have commented on how amazing they were and that they are the best venue staff they've come across. The food is absolutely to die for and it was brilliant to able to give our guests so much choice and to know each course was going to be absolutely delicious. My husband and his party really appreciated the drinks to settle their nerves on arrival too! We want to thank all the staff involved in the fantastic running of DeCourceys and can't recommend the venue enough. Their combination of affordability, flexibility, personalisation, incredible food, warm hospitality and talented staff is truly exceptional and they deserve every award!

Poor service, waited ages between courses, poor (cold) food, poor decor, over priced. Could be a great place but sadly not somewhere I want to visit again.

We had a family Christmas lunch on 22nd December and really enjoyed the meal and overall service & atmosphere. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff.
