Dan I' Sang in Ceredigion

Great takeaway, quick & food was fabulous. Definitely order again. Duck pancakes Salt & pepper chicken- best ever! Chefs rice was brilliant

The two dishes that we ordered: (68) Pork Bamboo Shoots & Water chestnuts & (100) Chicken Cashew Nuts were far too bland, verging on being tasteless. Both dishes definitely lacked and aroma of being representative of oriental meals! The pork was from the cheapest cuts of pork, containing fat, grizzle and the pork pieces were tough. The 'fried rice' was anaemic, and flavourless too! Tasted far nicer and better Chinese take-away meals not a million miles away! Shall definitely give this place a miss in future! The portions were good... if you could enjoy them.... We struggled with half the meal and binned the rest! Were we living nearer, we would have returned the 'dishes' and asked for our money back! Worst Chinese take-away that we have ever had!

So much better than before new owners and chef. Great food great value never had a bad meal and you can eat in the pub next door and enjoy a pint whilst waiting for your order or with your dinner. Sadly don't do deliveries but hell its worth the drive to pick it up. Everything tastes the way it should, great quality.

Used for the first time this week. The chicken satay was dry and tasteless. Butterfly prawns were cooked to oblivion. They were just like hard lumps of crispy congealed breadcrumbs. Crispy chicken Peking style was chewy and the sauce was an over-sweet glutinous concoction. Incredibly disappointed.

Really good food, not greasy, freshly cooked nice and hot, never seen my daughter eat so much. Would definitely eat here again

We are on holiday in the Llandysul area for a fortnight and decided to get a Chinese takeaway the first night.We ordered two meals and handed over the money.The female serving us laughed and said “What is this”.I had handed over a Scottish £20 pound note “Sterling”.She said we do not accept this.I felt shocked,disappointed and angry,to make things worse they were the two worst Chinese meals we have ever tasted.Never a special curry or chicken curry in their lives.EXPENSIVE

Great food reasonably priced. Friendly staff, served quickly and efficiently. Definitely recommend and use again.

We called ahead to book a table. When we arrived I could tell something was wrong. The dining room was like storage and no tables were made up. I said to the man that we booked a table for 3 and I asked where is the table. He said it's ok you can order food from him and then eat in the bar.... well he drags me round the back of the till and through the corridors past the kitchen to an open doorway which linked to the bar next door! It was a small bar, clearly a local for a few men and it had a few tables. He said we could order and eat there. I reminded him we had called and booked a table and asked why didn't he say there are not tables and it's just a takeaway. He said it's ok up to 3 people can just eat in the bar. So I repeated the question and said we booked a table and he just kept ignoring my question and said it's ok to eat in bar they bring the food round on plates with everything we need. I mean if you Google this place it shows a fully made up dining area with tables chairs the lot. And for it to be all packed up is ridiculous when you called ahead and reserved a table My mother in law and her mother were in the car and I don't think they could believe the ridiculousness of the situation. We decided to try as we had driven a long way and were hungry. I had to go back into the takeaway to get menus. We got drinks from the bar and the takeaway man comes back and says if you need plates ask the bar staff. Well that was the last straw. It was ridiculous and awful service. We called ahead and booked a fictional table apparently. But they kept up the charade! It's fraud to show a restaurant with photos that doesn't even operate!

Lovely food and lovely staff! Been having takeaways for the last two years and always enjoyed them. Highly recommend 😀

Came here for the first time ever on Saturday night. Never again will I go to the Chinese in Carmarthen despite living 10 minutes from there, and 20 minutes from Llandysul. The food at Dan ‘i Sang is far, far nicer. Delicious, tasty, good quality. Fast, friendly service too. I couldn’t believe how quickly I received my food. I always wait for absolutely ages in Carmarthen, even with the same amount of customers! I very much enjoyed my sweet and sour chicken balls with egg fried rice. Generous portions, good value for money. Will be back soon!

Always get a great meal here, tasty, plenty of food and lovely and hot. Staff are helpful and the prices are good. Never have to wait too long. Free prawn crackers or popadoms as well.

Waited almost an hour before getting the food. Other people went in after us and got their food sooner (I could hear them ordering and they had a much, much short one than ours). Food was bland and chewy, like it had been microwaved; so, if that's the case, why did it take so long? It really seemed like they weren't that bothered about giving decent service (we're not part of the in-crowd of Llandysul, but if you're not a local, you might not have this problem). Uncooked rice, too. Absolutely, definitely DO NOT recommend. I'd rather grab a stale sarnie from the local Spar.

Shocking, food was cold, lemon chicken was disgusting, rice was hard and honey chicken was ok, waste of £20. Beside the honey chicken the rest went straight in the bin.

Had a lovely Chinese takeaway. Well worth a visit, if you are in the area. Did not take credit card, so ensure you have cash on you.

This is the best chinese ever!!!! Tried it by chance (as on holiday) but will definitely make every effort to return there in the future. The shredded honey chicken is to die for.

Nice Chinese can do deliveries but takes too long and food going cold by the time it comes, so quicker to collect yourself.

No the best I have ever had but by far the best in the area. Every take away or restaurant foes it their way. It maybe not what you are used to. However I have enjoyed every meal form here every time.

Vivimos en Llandysul y siempre he tenido buena comida desde aquí - grandes porciones y muy sabroso! Son encantadores y, incluso cuando están ocupados, están las cosas nunca demasiado. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

the food is always very nice, the only thing is the taste changes often so not 100% consistent on taste / spiciness. Great service and lovely staff.

Staying locally in the area, as a celebration and thought we'd have a treat. This Chinese was recommended by our host and thought it a perfect solution for food this evening. Telephoned our order in at 18:30 and was advised it would take at least 1.5 hours for delivery - fine, that's why we ordered early.Only to be told that actually they are too busy tonight to deliver the 20 minute drive from them, especially on a Saturday night. Despite me advising the woman who answered the phone that it was a special occasion and we couldn't collect as we'd had a glass or 2 of fizz and the fact it was a big order, she declined to be adaptable.We have advised our hosts who advertise their business to all of their guests and they will be no longer doing so.Left us stranded with no food on an important evening.

We had rented a cottage 2 miles away at quite a remote and secluded location, so were really happy to find that they provided a delivery service. The Meal arrived very promptly and was perfectly hot. Very Satisfied with the Quality (and Quantity!) of the Food, they are larger portions than we get back home. Would recommend the Curry Dishes, the Chow Mein, didn't seem overly salted like some Chinese Takeaways can be. The Rice and Chips were Good too!

Very good Chinese food and has the added value of being next to a pub for a pint whilst you are waiting for your order

Due to a road closure on Friday I had to visit Dan I sang instead of our usual haunt. The service I cannot fault , the food was piping hot even after a 10 mile drive home. However sadly this is where the experience nose dived . Pancake roll starter was fine , good quality , non greasy . Followed by chicken curry , sadly this was utterly revolting . What can only be described as a chilli infused watery gravy with some chicken contained within , the majority was chicken skin and mushrooms, had a horrible taste , the wife was equally unimpressed with her chow mein which hosted very little bean sprouts and also her main course of sweet and sour chicken which had a gritty texture . Sadly I shall never return

Outstanding flavours to the food. A little bit pricey but for what you get its worth it.Staff are friendly. A lot of choice on the menu too.

Order on way home from town and was ready when we got there. Great service and great food. Special curry is not too hot lovely selection of chunky meats in there. Huband likes the HOuse special chow mein

The service is brilliant. Food really nice. Tasty. Cooked perfectly. Fast. Can't fault it at all. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Chinese food. Biggest disappointment is that I can't afford to eat there every night.

Very good food from the takeaway maybe the best in our locality, but check our order as we have sometimes been missing part of an order, but they have given us a credit to use at a later date. Would recommend and will definitely be using again.

Lovely little Chinese take away. I've never sat in so couldn't comment on the service in the restaurant The food is always great and unlike most Chinese takeaways, you can actually taste the food rather than just a heavy taste of oils which is all too common in many takeaways. The Singapore chow mein is awesome. My parents also eat here now as opposed to another local takeaway. How you could leave a 1-2 star rating confuses me, I've never had a bad meal there.

I ate here as part of a large group of people last week, and we must have ordered around 15 or so different meals. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the food, myself and husband included. The food was fresh and came out fairly timely considering the large amount of orders. Also, the prices were really reasonable. Would recommend if you are looking for Chinese food in the area!

My family and I have visited Dan I' Sang a number of times for a take away meal! We are very impressed with the quality of the food for the price that we pay! So, we decided to celebrate my mother's birthday by eating in the restaurant for a change. They were expecting a large group of people, so we were lucky to eat before they arrived! The food was great. The deco was very modern and the service was super quick!Sadly, there was only one waitress on and she had to manage the bar, takeaway desk and the restaurant alone - however this did not disrupt our very quick service! We are guaranteed to be visiting very soon again!

We regularly have takeaway from here, and occasionally go and eat at the restaurant. We've never been disappointed, and neither have friends when we take them there. The staff are really friendly (there's not many Chinese restaurants where you can order in Welsh!), the food is really nice, not greasy at all, and full of flavour. We've had a whole selection of food over the last few years, and I've yet to settle on a favourite as it's so difficult to choose one over the others! I'd definitely recommend eating at the Dan i Sang!

We had a meal for 2 from their Aberaeron takeaway on Regent Street. Every aspect of it was awful. If you spend more than £20 you get an extra bag of prawn crackers! One bag was plenty! The food is heated up bought in cash and carry type fodder and is barely edible. Go across the road to the Indian takeaway instead.

We tried this takeaway whilst staying in Llandysul area again. We tried them last time we stayed but they were soo busy, but this time we got to try the takeaway. Well, we were not disappointed. The food was of the highest quality...and believe me I have travelled a lot and we have eaten at many Chinese restaurants and takeways over the years and this was one of the best meals we have had. The rice was perfection..not all stodgy like some places and all the dishes we had were yummy! :) Cannot wait to be in the area again as we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and recommend to anyone in the area. Thanks !!

Better than average Chinese takeaway for the area, reasonable prices and pleasant staff. Not all dishes dripping in MSG as majority of other local Chinese offerings tend to be!

Food very tasty and good value for money. Delivery service available and restaurant is very pleasant if you wish to eat in.

This takeaway offers second rate Chinese food even by the fairly low standards of rural west wales. We won't be going back again even for the complimentary poppadoms...!

Dan I'Sang is new to Llandysul so I thought I would give it go. We had pleantiful portions and it was rather nice and delivered in a reasonable time as well. We could have done with free fortune cookies as well as the prawn crackers.
