We’ve visited twice within a few weeks. Sandwiches and cakes are fabulous. The staff are lovely and it’s such a must visit if you’re in the area. Stuart and the staff are all really nice and helpful and from personal experience they will go the extra mile for you to help you.

Attracted by their Tripadvisor images of those wonderful various deep gateaux, we decided to drop in and indulge in those beautiful calorie loaded treats. However, what was on offer on the day were smaller pre-sliced cakes, not the deep beauties in their TA pictures. The quiche was served cold - not at it's best. The coleslaw accompanying the quiche was tasty, the coffee was enjoyable, ham sandwich enjoyable. Service was welcoming, warm and friendly and prices reasonable.

We are regular visitors to the Dales Bike Centre and enjoy the homemade food, local Lonton coffee and fantastic cakes. During Covid-19 the cafe is operating as a takeaway with seating and benches outside, some under a tepee shelter. Highlights include the sausage rolls, breakfast in a bun, paninis and a selection of salads. Make sure you leave space for a cake!. We definitely recommend this place if your in the area.

We hired two e-bikes to ride The Swale trail, very inexperienced mountain bikers! Ben was fantastic, he made sure we were completely comfortable with using the bikes before giving us clear directions (and a map) to the start of the trail. Helmets included in the hire price. We had such a fun time, cycled the trail to Gunnerside for lunch in the pub there and came back along the very quiete roads into Reeth, my chain came off but a very quick call to Ben and some easy instructions had us back on the road very quickly. We would highly recommend Dales Bike Center and the friendly, professional staff.

We stopped here on our way to the Lakes and were not disappointed. We had the best sausage roll we have ever tasted. They were quite expensive but would happily pay it again to enjoy another. Clearly all the best ingredients are used in all their products and the sandwich was superb, proper Wensleydale cheese and delicious chutney. Can't speak highly enough of this cafe.

I can only say that this bike hire shop is great, I hired 2 ebikes that were excellent, well maintained and totally cleaned down the night before making it safe against spreading any virus. Stuart helped us with our bike trails and a short lesson on the bike, crash helmets supplied in the price. Totally recommend this shop and will book again when we return.

It’s not the first time I’ve eaten at the Dales Bike Centre, I’ve used the free to guests car park while I’ve been out walking and riding a number of times. I’ve also eaten and drank at the cafe, however Wednesday just past I experienced heaven in a brown paper bag. Wednesday I took my wife for the first time, we called in for a coffee and panini, the coffee is delicious, even in a paper cup (Ah Covid times), the panini, cranberry, Brie and bacon was perfect although I had to share. We then did a nice little walk straight from the door. On return, tea was required and this time rocky road, I’ve walked and cycled all over the country and eaten rocky road more times the. I remember, but never, NEVER, have I eaten such a fantastic concoction of chocolate - rolo, malteser, Freddofrog, marshmallow and biscuit as this! One piece was not enough and so two more were bought. Dales Bike Centre cafe ladies, you are the best in Britain. Thank you.

We are on holiday in Richmond and had taken a trip to Aysgarth Falls one morning. I’d seen many amazing reviews about this place so with a choice of the tea room or a 10 mile detour to Dales then Dales it was. Took a scenic route over and so glad we did, the reviews were correct, fabulous place. We were very impressed by the quality, quantity and price and if we lived locally we would be here all the time. We aren’t cyclists but that doesn’t matter, we still found this place the best cafe so far on our visits. Standards are very high and the cake....well what can I say.....huge!

Unfortunately, the Dales Bike Centre tea room is very close to my home, and therefore I find myself having to go in for another slice of the marvelous coffee and walnut cake when I am out walking in the area!!! This isn't helping my waistline at all, but it's such a pleasurable experience that I will have to do it again very soon!! I have tried other cakes too and some of the traybakes and all of them are of the highest quality. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Been up here a couple of times before for an organised event but never tried the food. Parked up here on this visit for a social MTB ride about and popped into the cafe after, only fair considering they don't mind you parking up and who can resist cake?Service was quick and the main didn't take long to prepare so was brought outside soon after ordering, staff are all friendly including the busy chap in the bike shop catering for us looking and not buying. Really wasn't a single thing to pick at and I look forward to making the trip back up next time.

Swaledale is the most remote and in my mind the prettiest of the Yorkshire Dales. This cafe epitomises everything about the Yorkshire Dales, homemade cakes, great staple food (Bacon butties and hearty soups) at a realistic price served with a smile and humour. We where staying round the corner so used it frequently after an early morning walking of the dogs (before we headed off to walk on the moors for the day). You will not be disappointed, if you are travelling alone you will be assured of a good chinwag with the many like minded people using the cafe.

Coffee lovely too and we couldn't resist cake too all of which were top notch. Lovely place, great hosts and first class food.
