Excellent food from starter to coffee, top quality and very friendly service. Tried their seafood pizza and the fish toppings were fresh and delicious. The dough was light and not heavy at all. If visiting Central London give it a try.

Fantastic restaurant. A really warm wecome and they let us have our table early as my 2 grandchildren were very hungry which was very kind of them. The restaurant is lovely with a great atmosphere. Nicely decorated too. The menu is great with plenty of choice. All food arrived piping hot and was very nice indeed. Good wine/beer/ spirit menu too. The service was top notch and the staff were very friendly indeed. The bill was very reasonable considering where the restaurant is situated and how lovelythe food was...Would definitely come here again. This was Lady Diana's favourite London Italian restaurant. This is a racist restaurant. The waiters were rude and always give white British guests priority even they don’t have a table booked just like as. So disappointed can’t believe this is happening at 21st century

Great little find near the Natural history museum. Booked for 3pm but turned up an hour earlier as kids were hungry and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Lovely authentic Italian food, friendly service and very reasonably priced given the location. No hesitation in recommending and would definitely go again.

Crowded loud upstairs, drab downstairs seating. My pizza was undercooked and I am not sure more toasting would have improved it. My friends ordered pasta and thought it was ok, not great. Interestingly , our waiter had a Spanish accent and said he was from Italy. When I tried speaking Italian to him - no comprehension. Strangely like the food which looked Italian but really was from a different culinary place. This is one of so many London restaurants that look good, seem to draw crowds, but ultimately disappoint.

Absolutely and by far the best Italian restaurant in London! The food at this place is incredibly amazing! It's the closest you'll get to local Italian cuisine outside of Italy. The Regina pizza is outstanding, the beef pappardelle, the spaghetti di mare and the eggplant dishes are truly the best! The tiramisu has to be hands down the best I've ever had anywhere in my travels throughout the world. But I must emphasize that it was thanks to Zaira, who took care of the six of us, who made this experience a phenomenal one. Her knowledge of wines and pairings is superb! This will surely be a place I would be visiting several times when in London!

We were so happy to return to this lovely restaurant. The food is authentic Italian and excellent (as was the wine). My wife and I like to order a pasta and a pizza and then share the dishes. The service was friendly, cheerful and professional. We met a lovely Californian couple who were sat at the next table. I was surprised that Italian pizza has thick sides. But despite this - the pizza is delicious, I also recommend desserts, tiramisu, ice cream are very tasty. It is quite noisy in the middle of the institution. A good place to eat in the center.

W had a superb evening at Da Mario restaurant last week. This was our second visit and the food on both occasions has been to an exceptionally high standard. This restaurant is full of atmosphere and has attentive and great staff. Located in central Kensington, the menu is varied and offers excellent value for money. This restaurant is lovely.

Hearty, unpretentious and delicious Italian food. Our group was very happy with our orders that included the rigatoni aurora, parmigiana, prawn pasta, tagliatelle ragu, and the Quattro formagi and stagioloni pizzas, tiramisu and lemon cake.

5 of us went for an early supper before going to an event. The place was busy and buzzing with happy customers. We all ordered different things off the menu but we all agreed our meals were superb

Love this place, the atmosphere is so nice and homey - had a really good time. The food came exceptionally quickly despite it being very busy inside, and we had a bunch of different dishes to share, each one of which was great. Finished it with a delicious tiramisu and very generously were given some complimentary Limoncello to wash down a brilliant meal. Our waiter Roberto was so great - quick, witty and helped us with everything, from ordering to making everything fit on the table 😂. Service is what really makes or breaks a great dinner, and this was definitely the case for us with Roberto. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Endlich. Nach mehreren Jahren und Versuche haben wir einen Tisch bekommen. Das Konzept ist gut überlegt. Die Riesencrevetten in Oliven-Knoblauch-Sauce waren köstlich. Die Pizza Quatro-Fromaggio war super lecker. Und der Tiramisou und Grappa war ein toller Abschluss. Wir haben gleich für Samstag nochmals reserviert. Man muss per E-Mail reservieren, um einen der beliebten Tische zu bekommen.

Finally. After several attempts we got a place. The concept is well thought out. The giant prawns in olive garlic were delicious. The Quatro Fromaggio pizza was super tasty. And the tiramisou and grappa was a great ending. The staff was top notch. We made another reservation for Saturday.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, but the whole evening was made to be one of our most enjoyable ever by the fantastic waitress Zaira. She was charming, funny, charismatic, excellent for recommendations and so efficient. We can’t thank you enough for completing a great day for my wife’s 60th! John (Mr Stephen)

Make a reservation - this place is *always* poppin' busy! We were staying in an apartment around the corner and stopped in at 5:30 thinking we were eating early on a Friday -- it was mobbed. We were told to come back at 6:30, we did and they got us right in. They were turning people away left & right thereafter. We were seated in the main room as you enter (there's more seating downstairs apparently). Bustling atmosphere. As the story goes, it was Princes Diana's favorite pizza place. The service was friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was great too! We'd go back.

Great Italian restaurant in Kensington! Downside on the room which is quite narrow: the tables are quite close together. Not intimate enough for my taste and the music is much too loud which spoils the meal a little. The pasta was excellent priced at £13 (excluding service)!! Good address!

Staffs are lovely and welcoming, so feel bad to leave low rating after my first experience here. Food not so special, really, There are many better places in London. Also table are too squeezed each other and we sat at the table just beside the entrance, making so distractive for our meal with cold air coming in and out. No coming back.

A true Kensington - Italian case. Unique and enviable

From the Traditional big Italian welcome, to their patients and attentive service while interacting with our two daughters aged 9 & 10, allowing us time to decide and have time between courses. To top this all off, the food was outstanding, delivering a fresh, balanced and authentic dishes that left us all wanting more. A true Italian Restaurant that has not lost any of its passion for their culture. Thank you Simon for our table service!

Locale molto carino all’interno e all’esterno. Cucina napoletana e piatti davvero abbondanti e buonissimi (detto da una napoletana). Attrezzati per il senza glutine con pasta e anche pizza. Consigliato!

Best Italian Spaghetti in London Choose Seafood spaghetti!

We had lunch with family here on 4th Feb, The staff were so lovely, especially with our 7 month old baby. Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere! And honestly, the food was incredible. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone!

L said this is Princess Diana’s favorite restaurant (he loves pizza?), it’s so delicious🤤 The seafood risotto is delicious and sweet🤤, the ingredients are juicy but not too much rice; the seafood pasta and prawn and cuttlefish noodles also look delicious (the neighbor ordered a portion of seafood pasta each, which seems to be really good) Must order) The ham on the pizza seems to be ham that has been around for over 20 years (I kind of forgot about it). The raw ham + cheese + sesame leaves + super springy crust tastes really good. L is also very niche and loves the tableside oil and vinegar sauce (or sth like that), so delicious that he picked it up with a spoon and drank it... A delicious shop! The decor is cute too! Give me more preference for Italian food🤤🤤

A real affordable Italian in this posh neighbourhood. Food and service very good, it is very popular so do book in advance although they accepted several people without reservations while we were there.

Really nice busy restaurant. We were lucky to get a table as walk-in, but they had to turn away a lot of customers whilst we were there. Very friendly and efficient staff. Food was delicious and well cooked. Seating area downstairs was equally busy. Would recommend booking in advance to ensure a table.

Very disappointed and definitely not coming back!! My friend recommended to go to Da Mario for dinner as she has been going there for last 7 years. Even she could not believe how disappointing our experience was. I ordered Spaghetti di mare and both my friends ordered Spaghetti Vongole. My pasta was tasteless and nothing special at all. Both their pasta’s tasted awful- garlic was so burnt that the whole pasta was un edible. When they mentioned that to the waitress, she rolled her eyes and said that she will call a manager. Gentlemen with shaved head who looked like manager came along, make tons of excuses, said that this is how it should taste but as we insisted that the pasta was not edible, he offered to change their order. The whole situation was just handled so sloppy making us feel not welcome and as if we would intentionally do it. When the pasta replacement arrived, one of the two pastas was ok but the other one was still awful. My order by that time was cold and not enjoyable. Overall, I got the impression because of students living nearby and tourists, they did not feel the need to retain regular customers. £200 later plus service charge, that was an expensive lesson not to ever come back. I gave 2 starts for service because one of the waiters (Mario 3) was really lovely and looked after us in the beginning.

I am utterly appalled by the experience at Da Mario. Despite its reputation, this establishment has shown a complete disregard for customer service. We were left waiting outside in the freezing cold without any clear communication or consideration. The staff’s attitude was deplorable. I am deeply disappointed and will never visit this place again!

I discovered this place by accident as I was staying nearby. I was intrigued by its history and that it was a favourite of Princess Di and Renee Zellweiger when filming Bridget Jones’ Diary. The food was full of flavour.

We were very happy with our meal on 19th January. Our waiter Roberto gave first class service and made sure we had a pleasant evening. Would highly recommend the restaurant, food was so delicious and good value for money. Can't wait to return.

Spent 10 days in London, ate at numerous places, this was by far the best food I had, real Italians run the place and they are super friendly, the food is authentic and delicious, and the prices are fair. Went back two more times.

Save your time and listen to the reviews, I ignored the warnings and went and the lack of care displayed for customers is disheartening. The food is fine but the service really sucks. Some waiters can be snappy and arrogant. I decided not to go again after my previous visit. Here's further proof of how they don't care about customers: Unfortunately, last week my friend visiting London again suggested to go. We checked their very own DaMario website and also google listing before travelling 30mins. When we arrived, the store was closed (for 3 weeks), with a small paper saying they are closed. In 2023, this is beyond unacceptable. It demonstrates the lack of care they have for customers. Terrible experience both outside and inside this store.

Visited Da Mario as per a friend's recommendation. The overall experience was excellent. We made a reservation (as it is very much recommended). The table was ready on time. Every staff member that attended to us was friendly and courteous. And checked on us regularly to ensure we were doing fine. The food was amazing, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The flavors were delicious and the portions were pretty generous. The tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal as it was light and perfectly sweet followed by a shot of Limoncello. Highly recommend for a nice Italian meal.

Reçu comme des rois avec un groupe de 8 personnes, c’est notre ami Jean Marie qui nous a donné rendez vous dans ce restaurant dont la cuisine le service et l ambiance sont au rendez vous. Que ce soit pâtes ou pizzas tout était frais !

Excellent experience at Da Mario! When I first walk into the restaurant, I can smell the flavour of Italian from the surroundings. The service is 50:50, one of the waiter is very nice to us, he serviced us instantly and bring whatever we want. However, while we sat for our booked table with just 3 min, we are asked to switch table and gave the table to a group of people who don’t have reservations. The pastas are amazing. I love them so much, one is creamy and rich, another one is fresh and delicious. However, the salad and pizza is slightly disappointed. It wasn’t bad at all but it’s just nothing special especially comparing to the pasta. The price is very decent. Four of us for 4 dishes only cost each of us 17 pounds per person. Anyway I highly recommended to visit it for pasta!!!

Solid Italian where Princess Diana used to go. Being featured on the Crown TV show has made it a bit too touristy popular and lots of people arriving without reservations like muppets and standing in front looking sad. I love the rigatoni da mario, it is one of the best pastas in West London. Every time we order my friends say let's get rigatoni da mario and another pasta to get variety. But then they eat all my rigatoni. It is very sad. So from today I am telling them I will order my own pasta and I am not sharing. They are dog friendly and also people friendly, nice people working there.
