Curriemuir Cuisine in Angus

Very decent amount of food in their munchy boxes however it's mediocre nothing special. Pizzas are also okay but at around £12 for a pizza I'm not so sure it's value for money, good enough food if you can't be bothered cooking or had a long day at work. Delivery took forever one night but was very quick the other so mixed opinions on that I guess some nights are busier than others which is totally fine.

Asked for a double cheese burger and didn't even get asked how I wanted it. Just this pile of burger relish. Was not a nice burger, plus the chips were cold. Save you money and wait for something to open the next day. The shop across the road is the better option.

Changing this review, to many times I order online and get stuff missing and the food has been sub par to many times since the lockdowns ended. I don't know what happened but this place and the thrums takeaway up Northmuir are currently at their worst. Stick to the steeple chippy or the Chinese places.

Excellent food with a huge variety of dishes to choose from. It has everything and you could be spoiled for choice. I like the set menu for curry's which offer good value for money. Friendly staff and food is sent out quite quickly. Cash only so come prepared but a cash point is situated nearby.

Best curries we have had even compared to sit in restaurants. Our baby has a bad milk intolerance and they made sure we know which items were safe (recent restaurant experiences either forgot or didn't care leaving our baby in alot of pain) kirrie really has the best takeaways.

Our first night in Kirriemuir and all restaurants were fully booked, so we opted to grab a takeaway from here. The guys behind the counter were first class and the food was tremendous. My partner forgot to add a naan bread to the order so the fella added one to our order for free, and gave our boys a drink as he knew we were "guests" to the area (obviously don't go to any business expecting freebies) but this made a huge impression on us out of towners. Well played lads, one really chuffed family.

Order was placed at 4.40pm. Called after 6.00pm and asked where our food was? We were told that it had just left and would be with us soon. No food arrived. Called back at 7.00pm and were asked how we ordered the food? Told them it was through the app. They apologised and stated that they are on it now first thing? We were already told that it was out for delivery! Shocking service, to be fair it’s been hit and miss for years. I live in Kirriemuir and the choices here are limited. If this was Dundee these guys would not last five minutes. The customer service is utterly abysmal. Go to Forfar, order from somewhere else but if you order from here you will be damn lucky to get any food at all.

Twice I’ve ordered and twice wrong thing delivered . Yes they want to please and send replacements after you call but whats going wrong here? You order your specifics online and what you order isn’t what’s delivered !!! Get your ordering system sorted because your foods nice n tasty . Second delivery not what I ordered either , delivery blamed the chef problems !!

Was overcharged £8 for my order, when asked the owner he repeatedly insisted there were "new prices" in their system, and that the prices on the online and physical menus were all incorrect - which I'm sure we can all assume was not the actual case

Ordered Butter chicken and expected creamy sauce with the chicken but it was a bright orange sauce that was so hot it went in the bin! Chips were obviously re-heated and disgusting. we will not be back.

There's always something wrong. Either it'll be way late, or they've forgotten an item. Tonight it was the wrong kind of Naan for our meal. If you're going to order from here, check everything thoroughly. The food is OK but there's always some kind of issue.

Very good food. The pepperoni pizza was fully loaded. The boy Archie wolfed his margherita pizza easily. The girls loved their curry. Deffo recommend this place

This place used to be brilliant, however, recently, I made an order which was not only late, but had incorrect items. Pilau rice was for some reason replaced with regular white rice, and all the dishes I received were not the ones I ordered! I got FOUR 400g boxes of white rice! What a waste of food! I'm so disappointed that Curriemuir's standards have fallen since the last time I ordered from there.

I particularly liked the chicken pakoras and the veggie pakoras. The staff are really nice and they deliver within the area. The delivery drivers are very quick and polite.

Friendly little takeaway. Love the pakoras, especially the chicken ones, with their very light spicy crispness to them. Their mixed tandoori grills are amazing too. Their Chef previously worked in a 5 star hotel in India.... don't be scared to ask for a special request.

Ordered 6 pm through just eat app told delivery would be 7 pm but never came phoned and they told me it would be 5 mins as on it way! Never arrived asked just eat to up date and time was adjusted to 7.40pm it finally arrived at 7.37 and it was cold and terrible will never order or eat from here again!!!!!!!

My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed our curries the other night, which we phoned for and had delivered within the half hour. A beautiful lamb bhuna with pilau rice and a garlic naan, delicious and would highly recommend Curriemuir.

Got a zinger burger(stated with mayo and salad on the menu) asked for jalapenos also. Along with a portion of chips and cheese. Burger came with no salad or mayo and a handful of jalapenos, the burger looked thrown on and the chips were either over or under cooked! Much better places to hand my money too. Never again!

Up near Kirriemuir on holiday and was keen to get an Indian meal but all the restaurants were closed. Was skeptical about getting a curry from a kebab shop but boy was I wrong to question. Tremendous chicken tikka and the recommended curry was delicious and naan lovely and fresh. Couldn’t have been better from an Indian restaurant and it actually wipes the floor with my local one. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff, can’t recommend highly enough.

Been a regular customer for many years but recipes have changed recently and dishes now contain a lot of cooking oil. One of our long time favourites Egyptian Kebab is served a with a different sauce and the onions and peppers are no longer cooked on the skewer. Disappointing changes.

Called up tonight for a kids korma and rice but I always ask for separate dishes as don't like it in same dish. We got the exact same order on Friday night no problem but when called tonight we were told that they have not done kids korma and rice in separate dishes for about 6years🤔🤥. I get alot of orders from here but felt like this member of staff was not willing to take our custom and couldn't be bothered with the trade. Why lie when we had exact same order also on Friday with not a problem!. The member of staff on phone made you feel like you was pestering them to be honest. 😔

I remember the day when a garlic chilli masala actually had chillies in it, now it is just a sauce, seems to be what was once an excellent place to get take away is now an ordinary place to get take away, obviously lack of competition means lack of effort, naan bread is always undercooked and doughy.

Had take away from here last night. Service good and staff friendly. Food AWFUL. Food tasteless. I’ve never had chicken dansack with lentils. However if it tasted good then great but it was just like chicken and lentils in brown water. Chicken korma sauce was curdled and again no flavour. I would have returned this but we were passing through. Sorry guys but worst I’ve ever had

Take away curry delivered in excellent time during a very busy Saturday evening. Staff were quick and responded to a change of order with no fuss. Food tasted good too.

Pretty unsatisfying food with a poor service. Have tried this takeaway a number of times and am continually disappointed with the quality of the food and surprised at the abruptness of the staff. To be honest I’m quite baffled by the number of positive reviews online. We have given them a good chance with approximately four visits over the past year and a half and every time there’s disappointments. We go to Forfar now as the quality and service of numerous other takeaways makes the trip worthwhile. Huge room for improvements and certainly not recommended by me. The Steeple next door is an excellent chippy if you can’t get to Forfar though.

Had a carry out delivered last night for the first time and OMG the food was amazing the best I have had in a very long time. I will definitely be back thank you so much

Got chips and curry sauce, when I took the container out of the bag it was swimming in water, contents looked like they had been frozen and reheated, tasteless, went in the bin won't be back.

Damage food, can’t beat it in k toon all staff are soond

Third time ordering via justeat and it just gets worse..... Ordered and were told 20 mins for delivery. Fine. 55 minutes later, called JustEat and were told food was "on its way" and delay was due to running out of chicken wings.... 25 further minutes (now 1 1/2 hours since original order) later and we phoned again to cancel. Service for delivery is always painfully slow but it was the lies that really disappointed. To be told it's on its way when it didn't turn up for over another 30 minutes isn't acceptable. (We live a few minutes drive away). As mentioned, it did turn up but my wife sent it back as I was already on my way to get something else.

One of the best Pizza/Turkish cuisine places in Angus. Always banterous crew who always provide great customer service and food.

Had two meals this week from them while on holiday. Excellent curries both times. Poppadoms last night were a bit chewy rather than crisp so maybe not made that day. But didn't detract from the meal. Friendly staff. Was recognised when I went in 2nd time and conversation remembered. If we're in the area again we'll be back.

Great choice with something to suit everyone, home deliveries available. Highly recommended. Whether evening meal carry out or after the pub treat give it a go !

Bloody hell learn how to make a decent pizza...... There other food might be ok but there pizzas are shite...

Wouldn't even give this place 1 star but had to....to beable to write a review. If only I could post my photos of the food that was sent us...it was that bad the dog wouldn't even eat it. I phoned to complain after spending £37 for dry donner meat....dry chicken pakora....over cooked chips....paper thin pizza with hardly any topping on it. Got no where with the employee on the phone who was very rude to me and told me if that's the way I feel don't come back......well they know how to treat there customers.....NOT. Guess what I wasn't coming back anyway.

I visited this excellent takeaway on a local recommendation. I was not disappointed excellent menu and service by the owners. I can highly recommend this takeaway it caters for all tastes not only Indian.

These guys have been in Kirriemuir for years and deserve a mention .... Indian takeaway as the name suggests ....pizzas ,kebabs ,baked potatoes....they are good at the whole lot ...their nan breads especially are done the "proper"way and are awesome.... If it's a carry out you are looking for in Kirriemuir/Angus area it's def worth a belt....

Although I live in Dundee approximately 20 miles away I regularly visit this place for the amazing food and excellent service especially from Faisal. Great guy and goes a step further to customise any dish to my specific preferences.

We love the curries from the Curriemuir. Delicious and they clearly use fresh ingredients. The meal deals in particular are great value for money. My husband usually picks them up and says the people that work there are really friendly.

What a great take away. We have had kebabs, curries, pizzas and burgers. We have a kebab every Thursday and it is always excellent. The friendly staff makes a huge difference to the experience. Faisal and Yusef are always delighted to see you and know most of their regulars by name. Highly recommended Jx
