What an amazing place this is, not only are the staff super friendly and helpful but the food is out of this world. We have been dining here for around 15 years and I can honestly say we have never once been disappointed, the standard always remains excellent. I personally love the varied choice on the menu and the fact that you are asked how you would like your meal cooked (medium, spicy etc). The portion sizes are very generous and they always offer to pack up any leftovers. This is most definitely the finest Indian restaurant and is always worth the travel there. Thank you for always looking after us so well.

First time visiting and really enjoyed everything. The staff were really helpful and friendly, the restaurant was welcoming, clean and had a great atmosphere. Most importantly the food was excellent, tasty, well presented and competitively priced. Will definitely return! :-)

Packed and chicken in the curry was that processed horrible stuff awful waste of money

Ordered online and I always order the same thing. Could swear I ordered the right food and I got something different which I was not even able to eat. I tried to calling and was told I would have to order the curry again which I would have to wait a while for. The delivery driver was busy. Will not go there again or order from here again.

Went for Christmas lunch with my family, they got the curry I had ordered mixed up with one of my son's, which I found to be too hot for me, sadly it ruined our first time eating there.

Love it as always here, food is always great, staff are always doing what they can for you and can see when you may like a new drink. Prices are more than fair, they haven't changed in the 4 years we've been going, always a great thing in todays climate. The lamb is to die for too, so tender and cooked perfectly every time

Really lovely evening at Cumin lounge, lovely attentative staff, only nit pick was didn't get water for the table as requested, and was served with a bill without requesting it - weren't offered coffees or dessert etc guessing they needed the table back? But absolutely worth the long drive. Thank you

Amazing food book as always busy

The best Indian restaurant we have visited for a long while. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious, I had Chicken, Lamb & Prawn Bahti, I m7st say it was absolutely amazing, we will definitely be visiting Cumin Lounge again in the very near future, thank you for making our evening out fabulous

This place was recommended to us but fell short. I booked a few days in advance. On arrival they were expecting us half hour later than I booked which was frustrating. It was very hectic and busy on arrival and there was no welcome nor organisation. We were waiting around trying to inform someone about our reservation. We subsequently had to wait to get our table for half hour due to the issue highlighted above. The server was friendly and the menu had lots of options. The wait time was very long for the main, at least 45 mins up to one hour. We were brought some incorrect items from other peoples tables. When the dishes were finally presented they were not given to the person who ordered and instead they were placed with whoever was closest to the server at that time. It seemed there was really poor communication between the servers. We ordered from one persons, food delivered by another, drinks order from another, drinks delivered by another waiter and so on. An example of this was when we had one waiter come to us asking what our initial drinks order was saying that the order had been lost at the same time as his colleague arrived with the drinks from this ‘lost’ order. In addition, we had to order water four times before it arrived. The food was was nothing too spectacular, one of the mains was only luke warm. Overall, the service fell short, the food was ok but when accounting for the long wait and the issue with one of the mains being luke warm coupled with an unorganised service I would not rush back. ……….. Review above from prior visit. Take-away attempted this time - not great. Chicken tasted odd - rubbery almost and not much of the meat.

Our first visit to Cumin lounge after hearing some great things. We really couldn’t fault anything at all! All the staff were really friendly, the food was stunning and the service was fantastic! The chef had over done our garlic naan but they brought it out anyway and a fresh one, but both were still lovely! Would absolutely recommend and we will be back!

Ordered the desi chicken tonight … we love and eat proper Asian cooked food I can honestly say wow this curry was up there with the big restaurants … will definitely be ordering this again … anyone who wants a home style curry then this is the one … thanks guys

Was good years ago. went last night with my wife staff didn’t even come to us and say how’s your meal .you like another drink .the waiter bringing the food just dumped it on the table and went off ! we had to wave down the staff to get a drink just rude never again

Absolutely the best authentic curry I have ever tasted the meat just melted in my mouth. The staff were amazing attentative and professional. Will be coming again even if I have to drive from Blackpool.

Booked here for a party of 7. To celebrate my sons birthday. On booking you can mention that you are there for a special occasion and they would accommodate this for you. Never been before but came on a friends recommendation. We were shown to our table and ordered our drinks. I did ask for water for the table then had to ask another two times before it arrived. Our food came and was nice. In fact probably one of the best starters we’ve ever had. I had to ask for cutlery as this wasn’t given after our starter. I had to ask another few times for our drinks. Then had to ask twice again for the bill. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived but the service was just really, really slow and staff weren’t attentive and never asked how our food was. On paying the bill the staff did then ask how our food was. I did mention that I’d hoped they’d have wished my son a Happy Birthday he check his book and did say “sorry, it is written here too” . He said they normally make a fuss and bring a little cake out. But obviously this never happened. However he did give me a bottle of lager on my way out. Overall the food was nice, but service a little poor!

OK. Sauces were nice if slightly too runny. Salmon overcooked, chicken tikka bland. Naan and rice were great. Overall not bad but not great.

First time ordering take out for delivery. Immediately called to say it would be with me sooner - food arrived and wow it was the best indian food I've ever tasted. So impressed. Will 1000% be ordering again!

Love having this place in our community. The staff are brilliant, caring and decent. Food is spot on. Prefer to go earlier as it gets very busy but they deserve their success!

Lovely welcoming. Quickly shown our table and allowed time to decide. Good prices. Tandoori lamb was tender and moist, cheese naan was full of cheese and the saag aloo was delicious

Just been for a lovely meal here. Managed to talk the wife into taking the kids along for their 1st Indian restaurant experience. The food was brilliant but sensing the kids were new to it all the staff bent over backwards to accommodate them and they loved it. Will definitely be back for more. Thank you.

Spent 80 pound on takeaway n yet again something was missing off order meaning kids didnt have what they wanted n ruined their tea everytime u miss something , the lamb chops were awful n the onion barjis are a bit doughie , really annoyed

Second time we have had a delivery . Food arrived on time and is hot with nothing missing. Driver is always friendly. It’s a special treat and totally worth it.

Fantastic Indian, one of the best around!

1st time visiting this restaurant after hearing good reports from friends. We travelled 15 miles and it was well worth it. The staff were friendly from start to finish. The food was was fresh and well presented. This was probably the best curry I’ve ever had and been a curry fan I’ve had a fair few. I would not hesitated to visit this place again. If you haven’t tried it yet you really should and you won’t be disappointed. We went on a Monday night and was busy but we managed to get a table no problem but if I was visiting again I would definitely book as I can imagine it gets really busy especially at weekends.

Tasteless and starter lamb chops were like leather boots. Really disappointed as last time I ate here 2.5 year ago was amazing. Either a new chef or new owners I would say. Certainly not as good as it use to be. Such a shame.!!

Wow what a disappointment. First time trying the Cumin House and really unimpressed. Turned up luke warm. Was bland and uninspiring. Really not a lot of flavour going on at all. Definitely won’t be going back especially when you spend £50+ for a meal for two. Wish I’d gone to the chippy.

Some of our food was over cooked... we were served too infrequently where a few of us were sitting waiting whilst others on our table were eating ..we had drinks brought to our table that we hadn't ordered...and a side dish had been forgotten..the overall atmosphere was far too loud...we won't be going again sadly...

We contacted the restaurant to book a table for our family, the customer service was absolutely excellent. Food was so amazing, all our children really enjoyed it. What we asked for was a mixture of various spices and this was tailored to our specific taste. All workers we came across had a smile on their face , were polite. Overall, once again, food was amazing and will go there again and again. Strongly recommended

Had a meal here on Christmas Day. Food was fantastic and the service is really good too. Seekh kebab was the best I’ve had and the Desi Meat curry (on the bone) was one of the best curries I’ve had. Nobody had anything bad to say about their meals!

Second time visiting Cumin and it was just as fantastic as the first. Tried a different curry this time and it too was delicious. Can't recommend Cumin Lounge enough.

Beautiful food, plenty of menu choice.

I had a fantastic experience. Couldn't say the same for other people but I ordered the same thing as last time and it was as good as it was before which I find can be a little rare.

Our first visit to Cumin lounge and it won't be the last, friendly staff, excellent food and beautifully decorated.

Been going to the Cumin Lounge since it was in its old location (since around 2010) - in that times its moved, grown and it's got busier and busier (great to see but i'm not one for packed out places). So last night we ordered a takeaway to Castleford (7 & 1/2 miles away) for the partners birthday instead of going to the restaurant. The food was steaming hot, like id just got it from my own kitchen - maybe hotter. The Garlic Chilli Chicken was just the right level of spice and very flavoursome, as were the rest of the dishes. Naan didn't go soggy - it was like they teleported it here! It also arrived within an hour which from 5-6pm is great and the driver was a nice guy! Best meal i've had from there in a long time and usually nothing compares anyway. We was shocked even after 13 years of meals at the restaurant!

Really really good good for a good price. For the price and the amount of food you get, is spot on. It fills you up you don’t even need a starter. I recommend.

Last visit to cumin lounge It’s always a treat to go We go at five so we can always have the same table on the top level in the corner When we book online we always ask for table 22 nice round booth in the corner near the window Got there tonight smack on 5 to find they had not reserved the table and given it to someone else , we always request that table and for the last 7 or 8 times it’s not been a problem This time they said boss had forgot to reserve it they then put us down at the opposite end of the restaurant on our own It was like we had covid and was in quarantine , service was terrible I had to get up and ask for another round of drinks nobody came and asked if it was ok if they had I would have told them the onions were not cooked enough and we have never had a special rice with so many garden peas We eat it like little jack horner sat in the corner, boss said sorry guys and looked like he really ment it (NOT) Went back to bar to pay I just wanted to get out , they had over charged me so they had to recalculate the bill Talk about from hero to zero It was the attitude I didn’t like SORRY GUYS I won’t be coming back I’m sure that I will forget to come Shame food and service is usually very good that’s why we keep it as a treat now we live 35 miles away

Fantastic starter for our table of 8 for a birthday meal no one asked us for more drinks and left waiting for 2 hours for main course with a 3 year old. Main course was cold/ warm wasn't a brilliant experience but the food was great I personally won't be going again

Lovely little spot in a quiet place. Would suggest booking rather than walking in. They do take-away and seating. The curry was lovely could do with a bit more spice for my liking. The pitters and naan were a bit small but delicious. The staff were more than helpful, such a lovely atmosphere. I will be returning ! Would recommend the cheese and garlic naan !

Whatever you have DO go for the pakora It is not Good especially. If you have had scottish Indian ones there is no comparison The rest of the mean was good but that did colour it for me

Absolutely *insert various expletives* beautiful!!! The food was perfect in every way possible and the staff were some of the loveliest I've ever come across in hospitality. The portion sizes were large and worth every penny, the pricing was fair for both food and drinks. A lovely little place which is very cosy, welcoming and super clean/looked after. Whole heartedly recommend and I will definitely return.

Excellent food with great taste well worth a visit. Very polite staff very friendly and wanting to give you the best meal as possible. Not over busy on my visit but the food was hot very tasty and there seemed to be no waiting time for anything. If you get the chance you need to go and try it

Fantastic food. Staff are lovely, friendly and chatty. This place is absolutely top notch. A place we repeatedly go due to everything being so good and the price also being reasonable. Note if you don't eat big, share with someone as one portion is usually a big one. Also try the chrispy garlic nan flatbread.
