We arrived and hadn't booked it was REALLY BUSY. Staff cleared a table and we were seated quickly. Drinks served swiftly. Great food and great prices. We will return but we will book prior.

First time in no places for hot food long time being served at bar won’t be back

Keep removing the true reviews about the managers drug using friends it will keep getting put back up I know of at least 2 still in most weekends at the clique table but the ones that weren’t there friends all got barred that’s just tells you everything you need to know

Apparently you can’t have a good night with a friends had about 4 pints and then my friends wife tipped up and then cut off apparently had to much to drink after 4 pints and the ladies had one drink totally destroyed by the way I was treated and being a veteran with a leg missing through war defending this country am sorry I may walk funny and to some people they may think am drunk and it’s a drivers me crazy I would like to see these jobs worths do the job I did but that’s the that’s you get STAY AWAY FEOM THE PLACE

No point goin to this place .. I have had more bad experiences here than good. You think if you give it time things will change they don't. Don't go there on a sun at 10.45 because they areaking up there tables for 12 oclock and you need to make a booking for breakfast. Have you heard anything like this??

Having not visited in a while due to illness it took me by surprise that some of the staff had changed. Waiting for my son to arrive my anxiety got the better of me, however leanne calmed me down and seated me in a quieter part of the restaurant checking on me from time to time. My son arrived as did a very tasty pink gin - medicinal of course!! As always our food was delicious as was the drinks from the bar. I am loving the new food and drink deals on offer too. Special thanks definitely goes to Kayden and leanne for looking after us, nothing was too much bother and kaydens cheery smile brightened up our day. He really is a credit so don't hide him away in the dungeon 😋 He is amazingly friendly and lovely to chat to!

The waiter was lovely from outer hebrides .. then there was the other unhappy looking guy , what can I say but came over and gave us the you need to turn noise down we where loud for 2 seconds .. lied about people being upstairs ? . Slight sour taste on a other wise good night .. but there us always one

I went in to get a full English breakfast not very filling at all you could count the beans they give you 1 small tiny pease of tost. No tomatoes. No black pudding.

The new £20 meal menu was brilliant. Rump steak and fish & chips were both really good. The food here is a level above most other eateries associated with the premier inns, such as a Toby carvery. Very impressed. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again with work if I'm in the area

Lesley was able to fit me in last minute on my birthday! The staff was lovely, the food was INCREDIBLE, and Lesley was able to put a spin on an Old Fashioned for me despite not having all the ingredients. I can't recommend this place enough. I had the T-Bone, and the folks next to me got the Roast (looked like it was sculpted for an advert! You simply cannot go wrong at Cuddie Brae!

The first time I have been, it was lovely. Staff lovely, quick service and lovely food. What a fantastic choice on menu and reasonably priced.

Customer service here was done properly. The staff were lovely and served us well all night. The food was nice for us all, personally I had the burger which was good. The onion rings on the side seem pointless. However, only getting 2 and they were very soggy, as the only criticism. The coleslaw was a memorable highlight as it was very tasty, which is usually a suprise for when it comes to pubs. We always stay at the premier inn next door and this is a reliable place where we go every year. I cannot wait to revisit next year.

We stopped off for breakfast before heading into Edinburgh. I had a wonderful Scottish breakfast and particularly enjoyed the haggis and potato scone. I would recommend the Cuddie Brae for breakfast.

Great pub for food, must book a table as they are very busy. Service was excellent from our waitress. All the dishes were fantastic full of flavour and good prices. I even asked to try some haggis which they provided as part of my sides which was nice.

Absolutely disgusted with the full experience, firstly crammed into a seat with a shelf running along the side, which I hit my shoulder off, the starter of Nachos, well less said the better, then my steak which was supposed to be rare to medium was cooked through, it was sent back and a replacement hadn’t been issued by the time the rest of the party had finished their mains. The manageress asked if she could do anything to make up for it, so we all had a free dessert, I chose the cappuccino and traybake, it arrived on a massive plate and the raspberry and white chocolate blondie was about the size of a 50 pence piece. So cardboard Nachos, no steak and a miniature cake was my experience, needless to say I won’t be back !!!

The Sunday roast was awful nothing like what was advertised. The roast beef was covered in blood and grave.had to send it back as I can't stand blood in my food ..they then give me turkey .roast potatoes where burnt .2 small pieces of broccoli and carrot where cold . .never again couldn't eat it .

A pleasant enough visit, staff were clearly over ran but friendly and helpful when available, food was okay, probably wouldn't go back. A shame because a good location and plenty of parking.

We came here just for a wee drink and something to eat for our son,we where put in a little bit by ourselves and it was brilliant our wee boy could run about without annoying others and he absolutely loved flirting with the staff that was on. He enjoyed his fish fingers chips and corn on the cob,I enjoyed the soup and the husband had the cheesy bacon fries,needless to say we will be back,the staff here are amazing as is the service and food.

Exceptional service got there twenty minutes early was shown to table straight away. Food was outstanding. Leeanne our waitress was very helpful and talked through the menu. Definitely going back.

We visited for a birthday celebration and had prebooked due to being a group of 7 people! Warm welcome from the host who seated us promptly! Great service from every member of the team we met, with regular check backs to ensure food and drinks were good! Food was fantastic and tasted delicious! We will definitely be back in the future!

Was a great place for lunch staff freindly nice place overall

Nothing particularly wrong with this place but nothing particularly great either. Seated at table and forgotten about. My aperol spritz tasted like water. And my onion omission request was ignored. I probably wouldn’t go back.

The atmosphere was a fun yet calm place to watch a futbol game. Families, young singles, and probably long-time regulars all came and stayed for a while. It’s a place where all sorts of folks find a place for themselves. The menu is diverse; the calorie count helped us all make better choices; everyone was pleased.

We had a lovely dinner here. I had the double burger, which is reasonable money wise and was delicious. Very nicely cooked abd presented. Fries were hot, which is a miracle these days. The service was excellent. My husband had the fish and chips, which he was lovely. Very happy party. Nicely done guys.

Nice Greeneking pub, we had Sunday lunch and it was ok. £16.99 so a bit over priced and the coke was flat. But I wouldn't let this put me off going again.

Great stop off point in Edinburgh just off A1. Food is excellent and very well presented. Nice traditional pub atmosphere. Good menu and prices in '24 are sustainable.

Wouldn’t go back ordered fish and chips and peas fish was half a fish burnt dry and a funny colour peas were like dry bullets waited over 40 mins for drink then over hour for food which was disgusting wouldn’t go back place has went right downhill

We have been here very often for breakfast. I would always recommend it.

We've been a couple of times and it's been great but our visit last night was very disappointing and there was big lack of food still available to order, also the lack of understanding of our dietary requirements we should've been able to order food without the side sauces(which contained milk) but they weren't very accommodating at all

Went with a work group that ordered everything ahead of time. Still waited 45m. But the food was delicious and worth the wait! The hostesses were extremely helpful and polite.

A lovely relaxed place for dinner. Staff were very friendly and allergy aware.

3 out of 4 main courses should never have been brought to the table. Chicken was inedible in 2 dishes and the steak panini was tough and fatty.

Easter sunday roast was sparce and so disappointed. We got 2 small slithers of roast beef, chunks of soggy roast potatoes, 1 small bit of broccoli, overcooked soggy carrots and a hard over done Yorkshire pudding. Won't hurry back 😕😕😕

Absolutely the worse meals we have had in a long time. We booked a table for three at 3:30 ordered 3 roast dinners one GF. The trio I had beef, turkey and pork stacked on top of each other, very very thin gravy. Could not identify what meat was what. Roast pots were very dry. Veg cold, broccoli uncooked. So not good. It was for my mother in law.

Called in for Sunday lunch and had a very enjoyable meal, the staff were all attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend the pub.

I take last Saturday some Family coming from abroad. use to be a lovely food pub but I can confirm in my second visit I found a preheat food not fresh food how use to be before. The service fantastic like always the place is nice but need to improve the food how use to be in the past, use to be a big a nice portion and fresh food. In my few last visit for breakfast and dinner i found cold food and not fresh at all. My husband burger was cold and chips was cold and not fresh chips in comparation with the other plates. very disappointed we use to go very often because is closed to our house but let us down on food quality in the last few visit. And also want to order chicken fajitas and on Saturday night run out of this plate but we didn't know until I order not one advice you before give you the menu, so need to hurry and order beef sandwich tasty but wasn't thing pieces of beef how told to us .

My friend and I went in for lunch. The young guy who served us was so nice,helpful and funny. My pal is fussy, so he answered all her queries. His nature made the visit pleasant as he seemed to be the only one who was happy. The food was fab and good portions. We will be back.

Clean , friendly staff spacious building Lots of free parking It has a good sizeable menu with plenty options Good bar lots of lagers, beers spirits Food is hot , fresh , good quality (steaks) quickly served too Only point to raise is building was a little bit cold, to be fair it may have just not heated up when we arrived but it was nearly noon ! BLOODY SHOCKING! I spoke with the General Manager of this restaurant at 5pm this evening to pay for a bottle of wine for a meal my mum had booked for herself and her husband. I specifically asked for the wine to be on the table for their arrival at 7, i was guaranteed this. im sat here at 9.30pm wondering why my mum hasn't been in touch. i called the restaurant and for some time Nathan tried to have me believe that they had already ordered a bottle, and then they delivered my already paid for bottle. i questioned this repeatedly to find out that in fact they hadn't even bothered to hand over the paid for wine despite the lies they tried to sell me and despite already having paid for it! ive now got a refund which i have to wait 5 days for! what an absolute joke!!!!

The sirloin I ordered was a bit grisyly.

We visited with a 15 month old child and the staff were really good with her. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. My only criticism was that the fries with the skewers could have been hotter. Apart from that we had an excellent visit.

Nice staff and service , but the food is terrible .It all arrived hot and well presented but quality was dire, meat in steak pie tough and grizzly couldn't eat it.Chicken katsu was bland and greasy, yes it a chain selling freezer fare but its obvious they use the cheapest stuff available. Won't eat in a green king pub again , total waste of money.

Visited 16/02, table for 9 people. Starters were good especially the haggis fritters, halloumi fries and tiger prawns. The mains weren’t so good. The peas were still frozen. The £28.49 T-bone steak was similar to shoe leather! Just couldn’t eat it. I was told they would take one of the £6 desserts off of the bill but they didn’t. This wasn’t noticed at the time. They had good vegetarian/vegan options. My daughter loved the vegi tex-mex burger. Service was brilliant. she was very friendly and funny. I’ve been to the Cuddy Brae a few times but don’t think I’ll be going back.

Food was not great. Steak pie had very little of any edible steak!! Peas were cold. Sticky toffee pudding was overpowered with bourbon. Just not a pleasant experience.

Went for food on Friday. Service was great. I had the ultimate BBQ platter which was great value at £20. Everywhere was cooked well. My partner had the mixed grill. Staff are always polite and helpful

First visit. The Chicken Fajitas we had to eat were excellent and would highly recommend. Lovely pint of Belhaven Best as well. Looks like it this place is very popular with families and groups.

Staff were fine the food tasted great but the chilled breast I got was quite small Atmosphere was good very busy and chatty friendly other guests there Dog friendly top which is a bonus

Perfect in every way. Only thing that let it down was the first two toilets in the ladies had broken locks on the doors.

This was the worst breakfast I had in Edinburgh. They didn't have 2 of the options that I wanted to choose for breakfast so I chose Steak which was very bad decision. I will remember to never get a steak in a pub anymore... It was very chewy and barely a meat in it.. waste of money. If you can't prepare a steak - then don't advertise it and don't do it . Nobody even asked us if we enjoyed the breakfast cause I was prepared to say what I thought about it.. The only good thing about this was a coffee...
