Cucina Italiana in Tandridge

We were greeted with a rude “Who told you to sit there”. We explained that the table was vacant and open to the walkway therefore obviously available. She continued her abusive tone and I informed her that we wouldn’t tolerate her tirade and promptly left after leaving her in no doubt that I found her behaviour unacceptable . The incident was particularly upsetting for my brother in law who was on a disability scooter and found her attitude atrocious . Customers at other tables shouted “Rude” at her. She doesn’t belong in hospitality and I would advise everyone to avoid this place.

Really lovely place to eat. Excellent food, excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

If you want the best Italian restaurant in the business then look no further! I can’t recommend this establishment more! The carbonara, the pasta, the pizza… it’s got everything!

Always great atmosphere, food and service

Had a big family celebration here on Saturday. Absolutely fabulous, as always. Staff at Cucina's just amazing. Customer service is outstanding. And.... the staff actually smile. Food lovely. Thank you Cucina's for making our special occasion, so memorable

We love Cucina ! The lunch menu is great value and includes a glass of wine . The small portion pastas are great for me as I can never eat a large portion of pasta . The lasagne is the best I have had anywhere ! The staff are so lovely . They can’t do enough for you . Little touches like saying hello again (even if I’m not sure they even recognise you) taking your coat , offering water without being asked . They are always so busy but never rush throwing food on the table , it is always such good service . We go every third week of our son’s chemo cycle when he can actually eat and he looks forward to it so much . CUCINA has really got us through a challenging year ! THANK YOU

Great food, huge portions. Lovely staff. Busy and a little bit too 'squeezed' in but staff make up for that.

Quick, courteous and friendly - faultless

This is a great place to eat if you don't mind how busy it is. The food is great and at a good price. My favourite thing is the service. The servers will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Kudos to Alisha who is always on the ball with a beautiful smile.

Staff friendly Atmosphere busy and bustling in a good way Food not what it used to be sadly. very obviously microwaved as each course came out in less than 10 minutes, and had hot and cold spots, saltimbocca was tough and very salty. My family all have had upset stomachs after eating there today

Lovely food, nice atmosphere, service was great. A little pricey, but we had a lovely lunch and would definitely recommend it.

A lovely Sunday lunch, food is always great. Service was excellent as usual and a great atmosphere. Good value too. One of us had the Sunday Lunch Menu. Our only constructive comment is that with the other one of us requiring a Gluten Free option, not one of the 8 or so starters on the fixed Sunday lunch menu is GF. Suggest including at least one Gluten Free starter in the fixed price lunch options.

Great place to go for a special meal. We went for my birthday. Only problem the waitress did not know what Pimms was but I did get one in the end

Packed on a Tuesday evening, which says a lot about the perennial appeal of this Italian. The only criticism I have is that nothing is offered or marked as GF, which for the coeliac I was with was quite limiting. The young waitress struggled with some basic questions too. But as always the food was good and plentiful.

Been eating here for years.. everything a great as ever on this trip

We had booked an early evening family birthday dinner. When we got there the restaurant was absolutely packed! However once again, the food and service were excellent. Only gripe is that although we had the table for 2 hours, we felt rushed. Empty plates were whisked away before we had all finished. We will however be returning!

Brilliant. They even let us bring a birthday cake in (sing happy birthday) then even let us cut and eat the cake without an extra charge. Awesome food, brilliant service.

Came here for the first time as @donnellyben had been raving about it for a while, so had to make a visit. A cosy Italian restaurant in Oxted town, with authentic Italian dishes on the large, varied menu. For starter I went for the Bruschetta and for main I went for the Linguine Gamberoni. The bruschetta consisted of toasted ciabatta topped with buffalo mozzarella, tomato, basil, garlic, rocket and pesto. The ciabatta was crisp, yet fluffy in the middle, and was well oiled and the amount of topping I got on them was very generous. The tomatoes were fresh and juicy and the rocket and pesto added a really nice flavour to the starter. The portion of this was also very generous. The main course was a classic tomato-ey, spicy, garlicky pasta dish, with huge juicy king prawns. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly, and the sauce to pasta ratio was just how I like it. Some tomatoes were left whole which was really nice and added a slight sweetness to the dish. Again the portion size was huge and I couldn’t actually finish it all! Service was very good as it was also a busy evening in the restaurant, and prices were reasonable. Would definitely come back here. Found Cucina online when looking for a place for lunch. The food was great, service was perfect even though it was extremely busy! It seems pretty reasonably priced considering the current times we live in. We will definitely be visiting again.

Catarina was a fantastic waiter we sat outside it was very hot. We never had to ask for anything. Very polite but used his initiative made our lunch well done

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful food. Reasonably priced and lovely staff. Faultless, I can't wait to come again. The outdoor seating area is lovely. We had bruchetta and garlic bread to start, margarita pizza and carbonara for our main meal.

It is 9 years since l last visited this restaurant but little has changed. It still offers excellent value for very tasty Italian food and the service is outstanding. It is a spacious restaurant but, understandably, gets full quite quickly and booking is recommended. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Despite living nearby, we visited this restaurant for the first time today for lunch. We were amazed by the excellent dishes we had and the service was just wonderful. The wine too was fabulous and unbelievably reasonably priced. Have already booked for my birthday in December!

Fantastic food and service !!! It was a Tuesday dinner and the restaurant was packed !!! Generous portions at good prices. We will definitely be back. Our server Catalin was attentive and we had a lovely dinner.

On a busy Monday night managed to accommodate an extra diner to our booking on our arrival. Attentive staff without being too much. Food was really good at very reasonable price

One of my favourite italian restaurants. Pasta is always cooked well. We often go for the polpette or vongole. Kids love the margherita pizza. The minestone soup also deserves a little mention. Restaurant is always busy. Lovely comfortable restaurant interior.Friendly staff. We recommend!

Three of us chose different dishes and we were all disappointed. The food was bland (under-seasoned) and over-priced. The service on the other hand was very good.

Came here for my date the atmosphere was great despite the date not being successful due to the drunk nature of them (smashed a glass),It was made up by the amazing customer service , would like to thank the red haired waiter.

Waiter was nervous not sure why. food was excellent great flavour. 15 to 20 minutes and we were eating. Careful the plates are always very hot. obviously a very popular place to dine out as there was not an empty chair in the place. Normally this would make it very noisy but no all was calm. I took my mum here for a belated birthday lunch. The food was good and served pretty quick but drinks were slow to be served. It seems like a popular eatery as it was very busy. The pollo penne was good and size wise was a good portion. Only thing to note is it is pricey.. £3.45 for a tonic water and dash of lime... too pricey. The bill for two starters, 3 mains, 2 glasses of small wine and 3 x non alcoholic drinks was £85. I did think this was too much but as it was mum's bday I couldn't say no. The toilets are in the basement so for anyone with mobility issues this may be a problem
