Good very dry no sauce despite my message notes asking for sauce

The dry spicy hot pot at this place is delicious!

This place is stupidly good. It is a no frills restaurant with incredible value and quality of food. Plus a fair number of different dishes if you want to try or already like things like pig trotters - liver etc. Starters are great but not stand out cheap. Mains great value. I ended up going twice in three days with friends also new to the place. If you want a dish suggestion Sichuan Spicy Beef Flank is plenty for two at £14.90 plus the rice or noodles on top. (I would still have thought it value at £25 to £30) Nice staff. They serve the food and leave you to get on with it no annoying faffing.

We ordered take away from them. It was 5 of us and not a single person was happy with their food. I ordered green beans and minced. What I was was lots and lots of over salted beans with almost no mince. Seriously there was maybe 10 grams of mince in the whole dish. Egg fried rice was bland. The order took ages to arrive. Almost 40 later than what the app had initially calculated.

IMPORTANT TO READ I had a terrible experience at a Chinese restaurant that I visited on Chinese New Year's Eve. The food was mediocre, and the service was appalling. To begin with, a male staff member wearing makeup was downright rude to us. He tried to take away our plates and food even though we hadn't finished our main courses yet. He told us that we could only eat for two hours, but he never mentioned this when we arrived. To add to our disappointment, the food took a long time to arrive, from 40 minutes to an hour. Furthermore, the special fried rice they served was awful! The chicken tasted rotten, and they admitted that they had used leftover chicken from two days ago. This is unacceptable, and I believe that this restaurant needs to be inspected for safety and hygiene. Finally, when we asked for the bill, they said that they only accept cash or WeChat Pay, which they never mentioned upfront. This made everything so inconvenient all of a sudden. I suspect that this was their way of avoiding paying taxes because they knew that they would have more customers and sales during Chinese New Year's Eve. I believe that this restaurant needs to be checked by HMRC to ensure that they are paying their taxes. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant, and I believe that it needs to improve its service and hygiene standards.

The food is strange. It’s not like Chinese food, it’s just FOOD, terrible food. And we don’t think they made the food in a healthy way. The waiters and waitresses there are SUPER RUDE, and you won’t have a good experience of dining there. They treats their guests too bad to gain any respect. It does not worth a try.

Went for Lunch with Work and had the set menu for 4 for half of our party. There was tonnes of food. Could easily have fed 5 or 6. Food was tasty and not at all oily or greasy. A lot of vegetarian options for the vegetarian half of our group too. The staff were very helpful in recommending dishes for them and brought them all out promptly

Came here for dinner. Service was good and so was the atmosphere. We got the sesame prawn toast, spring rolls and fried squid to start- all were great portions and very tasty. For main we got the dry hot pot of lamb, lotus root and noodles- level 1 was still quite spicy but it lacked any other flavour. I wish there was more to it. Our meal with a discount was about £40 which is good.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous. I ordered the dry pot and morning glory vegetable; the portion sizes were good, and the food was delicious.

It was pretty spicy, but so good!!! I would humble your spice level - I thought I was good with spice but I would get a 1 out of 4 next time. Definitely one of my favorite spots for dry pot. Very well priced as well.

I love Chinese food. I tried the hotpot for the first time, it was a MISS. I don't know what they put in there but it did not taste right. I will try hotpot elsewhere just to confirm if that was the right taste or flavour.

The food was really bad none of us could eat it. Soggy food, very bad taste. Dunno, maybe it was like that because the delivery was late half an hour.

This was so amazing, and authentic sechuan food as well. The dry hot pot is one of a kind where spices are well suffused with the ingredients and crystal china is one of the only places that I know that does it. 11/10

I called 10 times and every time they said one minute the order will be with you , but what was amazing in the end they told me do not use just eat app anymore it is there fault next time call the restaurant directly. Of course the food taste bad because it arrived freezing cold

We’ve ordered take away from here several times before and have always been very satisfied. The food is always tasty, well cooked, and authentic. It always arrives quickly, and its always hot. There’s a good multi choice menu including all of the usual favourites and a few other items too. Highly recommended.

Came in as a group of 4. Workers wouldn’t stop staring at us for some reason. The food wasn’t great unfortunately. My friend had chicken fried rice and had to take out the chicken because there was no flavour at all. The service charge is ridiculous and was not mentioned at all. Over 3 star experience

OK so this place is very authentic Offering pigs feet pigs intestine pigs liver and other authentic things It's not your standard Chinese restaurant. If you want basic you are not going to get it in here , rice and noodles are OK, prices are OK, but not for us , most of the other food not great at all Menu very limited for oeople who like an average Chinese takeaway Save your money and try somewhere else .service charge also available Deffo not our cup of tea

Walked in. The food was delicious, the service was super quick and the atmosphere was lovely. On the occasion of a birthday, they wrote a birthday card and offered dessert. When paid, they gave us a 10£ off voucher when spending 30£ to be used within one month.

I did enjoy a bite of this order. The rice meals were extremely dry and tasteless. There were three king prawns in the chow mein, one of which was so hard, my greedy Yorkshire Terrier rejected to eat it when I gave it to him under the table. The pancake rolls had no filling, and one of the containers that apparently had some chilli sauce or an equivalent had split the paper bag it was delivered in. There could be many more sentences of disappointment, but I fear that my word count for this comment may run out. Avoid this company. What a waste of £60.

OMG - so good!! As a native NYer who is picky about her Chinese food, I am thrilled to find a place that serves authentic Chinese food along with your typical favourite takeaways. The servers are all so lovely and helpful. The food was delicious with lovely ingredients. I would definitely recommend!! We had salt and pepper prawns, beef ginger spring onion, and pork soy bean.

I was missing home so I decided to find a mala place to eat. A london friend recommended this to me and I must say, it hits too close to home 😭 would absolutely come back again!! Also, I’m amazed that it was spicy (I really love spicy food 🤍)

Good food proper experience it’s just we didn’t know what to choose as the menu was pretty big and everything seems very tasty but the plus was our waiter was excellent very friendly and funny.

Always the best place for xiang guo in london! If you want to taste real dry hot pot, this is the place you want.

The dry hotpot is really nice and big portion, we went for spicy level 2 and still very spicy.

Best dry hot pot in London so far. As an asian I could say their spicy level is really high so just order the less spicy one if you are not sure for the spicy level. We ordered 5 kinds of ingredients for 2 people which is a good size of portions. The hot & sour spicy soup was also really tasty. Got a 10£ voucher for next visit :)))

The Choi sum in oyster sauce was so nice, shredded beef in chilli sauce was crispy and tasty whilst our fried rice was up to standards.

Really good food - not cheap, but excellent quality and service. The char siu and the tangerine chicken karaage were particularly noteworthy, but it was all very tasty, and beautifully presented. Decor is also lovely - I ate in the conservatory area out back, which had a very nice ambience. Good for a nice treat meal!

It was a very lovely meal everything was done to our liking service was very good and the waiters were very kind.

We got the salivating chicken and cumin lamb, white rice for 2. Big portions, yummy authentic hearty food. Quite spicy as it is a pretty authentic restaurant that’s not watered down. Cumin lamb was juicy, which is not actually that easy to find, especially in London. Service was very attentive and the food came out quick. Dessert took a bit longer to come out, but it was one of those things. I think 3 dishes 4 big eaters would be more than enough. We were asked to leave a google review so here it is, though I must stress that this would’ve been my honest review anyway. The quality here is on par or better than most ‘known’ north eastern Chinese restaurants. Good for a meal with mates, would recommend.

Spicy Chinese food for homesickness. Can be evilly hot if you ask for the highest level of hot.. but don’t recommend it as it’s really on fire!! Mid level will just be perfect. Great food to go with rice!!!
