Crown Pizza in Wakefield

I have ordered food from this takeaway shop on 3 occasions I have paid on my card The money was taken from my account No food arrived on any of the occasions No refund or response No food No refund No communication Its absolutely disgusting how they can do that to people I have attached my order numbers and details below 

To say this place is called crown pizza is a abomination to say the least. The dough is cheap and soggy. Honestly would rather of had a shop bought pizza, absolute rubbish!Rip off for the money. Pizza was ordered at 7:30 turned up at 9:50 don’t go here unless you want ripping off

Ordered on UberEats at around 7:30, and they stated my order would be delivered between 8:35-55. Apparently my order was out for delivery at 8:20, but an hour later no show. Rang them, and they told me it was out for delivery. Waited, and rang again at 9:50, asking for a refund as food had still not arrived... which they told they couldn’t do and I’d have to go through UberEats to do this, but my food was on the way! After 2 and 1/2 hours from first delivering, my food eventually turned up, hardly warm and with a sauce spilled all in the bottom of the back... then went to eat my chicken kebab and there was banana in it!!! How the hell did a banana get in with my chicken?!?! Disgusting! Thankfully got a refund from Uber! Will definitely not be ordering from them ever again!!

Ordered 2 burgers and 2 cans of coke, half an hour after delivery time passed...nothing. Same again over 2 hours later. 2 phone calls made and told it was "on the way". No answer after closing time and food hasn't come.We've been regular customers for a long time due to the variety of the menu, lateness has always been a regular problem but not to this extent. This is the last time we will be ordering from Crown. Really disappointed.

I live at least 25 minutes away from the shop and the food came warm and on time like they said it would! I will definitely order again I had a lovely girl on the phone who was helpful when I was enquiring about my order! And the food was lovely my mums the fussiest eater and even she enjoyed the food

Waited 2.5 hours. Delivery driver arrived outside of flats, only noticed because I happened to hear car outside. They didn't know who I was and just said "Ponte mate?" to which I replied "yes." Didn't ring mobile, didn't attempt to use intercom. Could've been anyone and they just handed over £40 order. Delivery cost £4 for 3 mile trip. Food was cold, rubbery, wet, soggy. Milkshake had vile after taste strongly suggesting milk or other ingredients were out of date - binned. Chips, soggy, wet and cold - binned. Crown Special Burger had 4 chunks of chicken for a £7.50 burger. Cold, attempted to heat but lack of sauce on burger rendered it inedible. Same for kebab meat. Cookie Dough was laughable, very low / poor quality attempt - thrown into the bottom of a curry tin foil tray. Visually, looked like a dogs dinner - tasted equally as bad. Zero customer service from the rude woman I spoke to on the phone. Will NEVER order again and will advise everyone I know within 10 miles to AVOID.

Paid £16 and the food was freezing, overpriced and just not good. milkshake was like milk with bits, brownie was awful and so was cookie dough. and then when i called about it the customer service was terrible and blatantly lied to me. won’t be ordering again

paid 13.50 for a pizza chips and two cans. Only got the chips and drinks. No pizza. Will not order again. Can’t even get a simple order right!!

I've ordered a few times from this place. Last time was last week. Ordered at just gone 6pm. Was promised food at 7.20 pm. No food arrived. Rang to enquire. And spoke to guy who said it's on its way. Well it never turned up. Rang again and was told they had no trace of my order. Despite me paying £10 for the meal. Very bad customer service. Would never order from them again.

When it arrived it was slightly cold ,I ordered chicken tikka starter it was £5 and was dry didn’t taste of anything , I also ordered a chicken wrap with chips and Oreo cheesecake which was bland and didn’t taste or Oreo at all however the chicken wrap was nice but the chips were cold and soggy. It said it was on its way and took an hour. However the delivery man was nice

Complete joke,they will take your order with a "40 min wait time" 2 hours later you will still be waiting...its ok though because their driver got lost

I ordered pizza, chips, coleslaw and three deserts from this place yesterday evening. Food was 40 minutes late. I phoned up twice to see where’s my order was the woman on the line was so rude. Eventually when the food came the food was cold. Pizza dough was raw, one of the deserts looks completely mush and cookie dough was burnt. I phoned up and complained soon as I did the woman said is that how I speak to people. I said like what you’re pizza is raw I wouldn’t give it to my dog. She then tells me she knows where I live she will come around and smash my face in. I have contacted the police and will be contacted health and safety on Monday. Don’t waste your Monday on this rubbish place. I am surprised they are open with there disgusting food and service. Looks like they are constantly rude to customers.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Pizza arrived 2 hours late and arrived cold. We kept getting notifications saying our pizza was being delayed, this happened three times. I kindly rang and complained and the women who answered the phone was very rude and awful. She made out it was my fault and I was delusional. I was so upset I put the phone down. Disappointed.

Just ordered .... chips were cold and Onion rings were cold. But burger was hot ?! Would rank 0 stars if I could . Missing stuff off order. Ordered 3 drinks and only got 2. Rang up and got attitude off the girl who answered saying there is no way the food Could be cold ?? Told her to ask the driver to feel chips if he wanted as they are cold and she said they definitely aren’t as the windows in the car don’t open and the aircon doesn’t work ?!!!! Feel sorry for the delivery driver working in those conditions. Won’t be ordering from here again. Currently microwaving the food to see if it saves it as the person on the phone couldn’t care less. Poor service. Woman answering phone needs a bit of customer service training.

So I ordered at 11:30 thinking they shut at 1:30 It’s now 2:18 no food and took the money do not order food from here absolutely disgusting and it’s just made me angry robbing t*#*

Do not buy from this takeaway, mould on the meat and they just mashed all the burger together, vile!!!

Waste of money. No sauces even though paid for Kebab was vile. microwaved? Salad - Brown Garlic bread- Tastless cardboard Chips - Best thing there however only edible.

Where do I start with this awful awful take away. Not only was the “food” 2 hours late, we also payed £10 for two slaps of dough with chocolate chips chucked In them, which to top it off was burnt. When we asked for a refund they refused and kept referring to me as sweetheart. Uber driver got lost about three times with no apology being offered. I don’t know how this place is still open. Their so called food is so bad that I couldn’t even finish it. Love to see that customer service is clearly at the top of their agenda.

I ordered about twenty-five pounds worth of food for a few of us. It was simple orders, chicken & chips, a burger, a loaded Galaxy brownie and chips... We were underwhelmed. The chips had obviously been reheated to the point they were very rubbery. The chicken was pretty much inedible, it tasted like old oven chicken that’s been left out too long. The burger was okay and the curly fries were okay too. The brownie was actually reasonably nice even though it was just melted Cadbury chocolate on the top and not Galaxy. I did pay £8 for a small brownie and a scoop of ice cream which I think is a little extreme. The delivery time was good however, just not the strongest customer service - in terms of the delivery driver just saying ‘delivery’ and then leaving. However, this doesn’t really bother me. I doubt we’ll return here again. The food was okay, well, my food was. My family can’t really say the same. The menu is massive, maybe they need to focus on the quality rather than the quantity?

Ordered a margarita thinking you wouldn’t be able to get a margarita wrong. Well Crown Pizza seemed to prove me wrong. The pizza arrived flat cold. The crust was rock hard and the base of the pizza was soggy probably due to the amount of grease or even condensation due to the excessive amount of time it was closed shut in a box before it arrived 2 hours later to me. When complained, the woman was rude and aggressive. In the background I heard other people talking about my complaint in an aggressive tone. The woman said that I could have a free pizza tomorrow... why would I want one tomorrow when I was starving then?! All in all, the food was vile and the customer service was even worse. To top it off, I’ve just seen a Facebook review of another customer complaining that their pizza was cold and a slice had been bitten, for the manager to comment on his post in a threatening manner calling him a ‘c*nt’ a ‘liar’ and saying she will slap his face all around CastleFord.What a joke

Got home from a busy shift and wanted something quick and easy to eat. The delivery wait time was just short of an hour and half - 1 hour 30 minutes wait for the next town, crazy. Fair enough, I fell asleep on the settee once waiting for it so I called them and they stated the driver had only just been to my address 10 minutes ago and he was on his way back to the shop. The sheer rude customer service was an absolute joke. I could hear a young girl in the background saying “he (the driver) has been there once, he shouldn’t have to go back, it’s his fault” and then the male I spoke to stated “Don’t do it again otherwise I’m not delivering to you. Answer the door this time”. It was a genuine mistake and I had paid for the food, albeit it was hyperthermic when it arrived. Due to the sheer rudeness and to be fair, not that great food - I will not be ordering again. The food all in all was over an hour late.Would avoid!

We placed on order , we waited one hour and half give or take, to receive cold food and salad missing. Totally dissapointed.

Went here with friends for a munch and I must say a great choice of food, great menu and the food was delicious, a must try guys. Best place in castleford!!

Ordered a mushroom pizza with extra onions, garlic Margherita and cheesy chips for collection when arriving home late from a weekend away. Biggest waste of £20 ever spent...no onions on the first pizza, tastes like 3 tubs of tomato sauce and a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top. Made a better pizza in year 7 food technology. Second pizza tastes like a lump of garlic butter had just been slopped in the centre of the pizza with the thickest most awful crust. Chips were edible but only luke warm - given we were waiting to collect for 15 mins not appropriate at all. Just avoid at all costs.

Having had a shocking meal last night after waiting over two hours for the food to turn up it was uneditable freezing cold and hard as a brick. We got told we could have a free meal tonight. We rang up to place an order and having used evety excuse possible they would not give us the replacement meal or refund our money. The manger spoke to us using foul abusive and threatening language. The customer service was extremely appalling shouting screaming and swearing down the phone at us and would not let us speak or listen to us. We would not recommend this place to anyone. Do not use this place under any circumstances it's just horendous.

Worst ever! Left a review on just eat!! Reviews on their own website are all good!! Fancy that!!! Absolutely disgusting i never leave reviews but this pile of crap would not be fit to feed to animals never mind humans! Avoid it like the plague!!

food left on the doorstep in winter as I didn’t answer my phone (45 minutes BEFORE eta), driver swearing on the phone, rung Crown and they hung up, rung again and he rung the driver whilst I’m on the phone, the driver admitted to swearing at us, then denied it on the phone to me. Minging service, won’t ever order again

Ordered a small pizza, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, and some chicken bites come to like £22, the order turned up was missing my Ben and Jerry’s I’ve cream what they sent instead was a large garlic mayo tub full of melted ice cream what was Ben and Jerry’s! Absolute con this place, rang back the women said there was nothing she could do as they were closing but she’ll refund me it in the morning so I left my review hen rang up the next day to be greeted by some old receding foul mouthed granny swearing down the phone at me saying “Take your review down and I’ll refund you not having f#*# all when you make me out to be a c#*#” Hold on ive told people exactly how my order was and you don’t like it, called freedom of speech so long story short I thought I’d leave a review on everything I can letting you all know what a foul tasting place this is and no one should order from there! Thing is the women was going so mad down the phone at me swearing one of her drivers even come to the phone to apologise for how she was being, absolutely ridiculous never again.

Took ages to arrive, stone cold when it did. Ordered chicken and Donna wrap...... smallest wrap I’ve ever seen with one piece of chicken at either end and 3 pieces of Donner meat in between! Very unhappy with wait and food, wouldn’t use again

ordered takeaway from here and was told 45 minutes to an hour. it turned up after 1hr 45mins and was cold. chips were soggy pizza was cold and the chicken topping was all the worst purple parts of the chicken and it was just vile, even even i was about to die from starvation i would not come here again

Waited 90 minutes for our food when it eventually came it was cold. We told the driver before he left he rung the shop and told us to keep the pizza but Ring the shop ourselves and they send another. The shop actually rung us and told us we had 2 options we could wait for a new Pizza or get a free delivery tomorrow. I said I didn't want free food tomorrow and to be frank I'd waited long enough so I just asked for a refund. I was told I'd have to ring just eat and the driver would come back for the pizza. Absolute joke.

Got takeaway pizza. The ingredients were cheap and the meat tasted off. It tasted so off that it wasn't worth the risk :( bad quality dough and ingredients. Needs checking by environmental health.

Food was technically ‘on time’ but still had to wait nearly 2 hours for it to be delivered,and you’d think waiting that long the food would be remotely warm when it came but it was cold, also they mixed up Bolognaise burger with chilli so burned someone’s mouth out and the Parmesan was burnt, can understand it’s saturday night but no excuse for cold food

arrived at hotel holiday inn express leeds east, ordered food. first of all what a waste of £16 the food was very oily, greasy, no chilli sauce with the donnar kebab, salad was below the kebab and was off, put me off and had to throw the food away, only had the pizza, which was no good aswell. The food was cold, the garlic bread was rock hard ... the kabab meet was swimming in grease! I was impressed with the service I received and the delivery time.. I’m putting it down to being a busy Saturday night why the food wasn’t up to scratch

When my food arrived my pizza was cold. I'd also asked for a stuff crust pizza and donner meat. I got neither. I phoned up and complained and asked for my money as it wasn't convenient for them to deliver another pizza. I was advised it wouldn't be possible to have refund. Never will I order from here again!

I would question the quality of some of the ingredients, and 9 times out of 10 the food is almost cold when it arrives, but other than that it's alright.

food was awful. it came propper messy in the boxes and covered in loads of sauce way too much of it. was not seasoned or anything. chips was cold and very bland. cheese tasted out of date. cake was dry and nothing like a gateu cake. the whole thing was just terrible.

Food ok but a 90min delay time on a Sun night not really acceptable. First action on the order was to push the time back by 20mins and they didn’t even achieve that. would have gone elsewhere if we’d known at the order point.

Me and the missus fancied puddings all I can say do not get the jam roly-poly from here it's never seen a jam roly-poly it's just a jam log custard I also thought I'd treat myself to a garlic naan and 1st first of all the normal naan is to £2 garlic naan is £2.70 so you paid 70p for literally to have crushed up garlic and for them to smother it. it was that rank I couldn't eat it I am going to be honest I'm not going to bad mouth the hole menu because I haven't tried it and I know a lot of people have rated the food is good but my experience with the food was just not nice I was very disappointed

I waiting 2 hours for my pizza.

The order was incomplete, missing a pizza and cheesy chips. It took two further deliveries to receive the full order. It was not good service on this occasion.

Pizza was cold when it arrived. Took an hour and a half to arrive. Wrong dip sent out. Reported to just eat who offered only 30% just eat voucher as compensation. Never ordering from crown again. Poor poor poor all the way

Shocking over an hour late took over 2 hours. Rang restaurant girl was rude. Food finally arrives and we weren't hungry anymore. Wrong toppings on pizza which was soggy burnt and cold. the food was delivered earlier than the time stated because the delivery time was 21:10 when we ordered it at half7. thinking it would come way earlier it came at 9pm! food was average not enough sauce. but was piping hot which was good

We ordered a takeaway on a Sunday evening at 6.30pm, we ordered 2 pizza's and 3 kebabs. We had friends over including 2 children... 6 & 8 years old... we ordered off just eat, when we put our order through it said our delivery time was 1 hour 40 which with 2 kids we thought was long enough to wait, we expected it may be busy being the weekend but 1 hour 40 was quite a long time, about 15 minutes later we received another message saying the takeaway had added another 25 minutes. My husband rang the takeaway who said they were having to turn people away.. if the takeaway had contacted us to say how long it would take or if we got a delivery time before taking our order we would have gone elsewhere... we finally got our meal at 8.30pm, kids were starving and ready for bed. Shame as it's a nice takeaway...

The chips were dry and undercook, the desserts didn't have much flavour to them and the turkey on the Hawaiiann pizza tasted spoiled although the stuffed crust was really nice

My partner ordered a crown special nan kebab last night for 7.50 when it came there was some donnor meat about 4 5 pieces ov chicken and a long kebab thing so he rang up to ask were the rest ov it was and the women on the other end of the phone was very rude to say the least and basically said thats it for 7.50 he expected more than a normal kabab we also got jam rolly polly for 3.80 each and it was hard couldnt even eat it give it to are dog and even he wouldnt eat it we spent 30 pound there last night and it will be the last time id take your consum else where

Very long delivery time, 70 mins, so i had to go and collect. Very expensive. Paid £1.50 for coleslaw and it was a very very small portion.

Delivery was really late despite a call to find out where it was. When it arrives the pizza was cold and the chips were not edible as they were also cold. We will not be ordering from here again. Poor quality service and cold food

We ordered a garlic margarita pizza and some cheesy chips. All looked nice however on biting into them, it because apparent the chips were limp and tasteless and the pizza had a taste of some kind of film that was on top, very strange but extremely off putting and ruined the meal. Would not recommend.

dissapointed! ordered a 16" deep pan chicken pizza fist time and it was amazing!! decided this was the place for me. this time i ordered a 11" thin margherita and an x large donna. both not great. the donna was more like a medium as there wasn't must there. now will re think where i go, i am very dissapointed as i thought i had found a great place after the first order.
