The service was fabulous our waitress Bethan was really lovely l, food was delicious, the pub has a great atmosphere to it as well

There was 7 of us in the party the waitress was lovely. Took out food order bearing in mind it was a Tuesday night so not overly busy. Our meals took an hour to come out and then was all cold and I mean able to touch cold. The waitress apologised and took the plates and had the chef rewarm the meals. We were offered a free pudding each as a way of saying sorry but the waitress forgot to come back so after 30 mins I decided to find her and just ask for the bill. We have always gone to the crown and cushion and always enjoyed the food but even the ribs have now got disappointing.

We have always been a fan of this pub. However having been there for lunch today I would describe it as mediocre. Having booked it a number of weeks ago we were put in a booth next door to the men’s toilets. The service was very slow and we felt somewhat forgotten about in the corner. 1 hour 45 mins for 3 of us to have a starter and main course is a long time to sit having arrived at 12 noon. When I asked one of the servers if there was any news of our main course, he asked what I meant..,! We are returning with friends in January when we hope it will be a better experience. We have asked to sit in the far nicer middle of the restaurant next time rather than being squashed in the booths.

Really good food, went for the braised steak and mash which was lovely and the pavlova topped ut iff. Nice atmosphere and friendly, prompt service. Can't ask for more.

The 3 of us were impressed by the first rate lunch and service. And so conveniently just off junction 4A of the M3. The shared starter for 2-4 was particularly good and the menu included an excellent range and not just the pub classics. Service was also very good. We will be back!

Lovely friendly staff but the Sunday roast was only warm and not hot plus the vegetables were really really undercooked !

My friend & I were looking for somewhere to lunch & I decided to introduce her to the delights of the Crown & Cushion as it has long been a favoured venue of mine despite not visiting for a while. We were politely greeted upon entrance & seated in a booth in the bar area. Our food order consisted of Mushrooms on toasted bread with truffles & a Chicken Satay for starters followed by Salmon fillet with a perfect sauce served with new potatoes & green beans. My friend had the Sea Bass and Risotto with chorizo & peas. For dessert we had the Eton Mess with grilled white chocolate alongside the pavlova. All food was brilliantly prepared & presented & very tasty. The lady serving us was approachable, friendly & professional, I didn’t catch her name she was tall & wearing a green top. I will be back again soon.

Roast dinner- this is our local and lovely for drinks. Despite our last eating experience here, we decided to try again, this time for a roast. Starter was fine but waited ages for the roast and when it arrived the beef was as tough as old boots and the roast potatoes was.tastless. we were so hungry from.waiting , we tucked in and I have to say I thought I was going to die as I choked.on the beef, to the point of bringing it up. It scared me so much I couldn't eat much more. They took the lagers if off the bill but won't eat there again now.

Last Friday 6/10/23 we celebrated our Golden Wedding at the Meade Hall with Family & Friends. The help and organising of our event by Taylor and his team was excellent, he's always been there to help with questions and our requests. The whole team on the evening were the best, very professional and efficient the whole evening. The food was absolutely fantastic, all our family and guests commented how good the food was. The venue is very special, a great place to hold celebrations with such a wonderful atmosphere inside and out. Thank you to Taylor and the whole team

Friendly staff. Very long wait between courses. Starter was good, mains a different story. Cold peas, some pieces of scampi very hot, others just warm. Husbands fish and chips mainly batter and not much fish.

Slow service - the staff were not attentive and slow! We had to ask for the table to be cleared, we had to ask for dessert menus, ask for the bill, ask to pay…if we hadn’t asked and chased the waiting staff, I can only imagine how long we would have been there! Very expensive - the food is very expensive considering the portion sizes. The roast dinners come with wafer thin slices of meat, most of which was fatty, and the portions are meagre. Watch your teeth on the red cabbage! Yes, the red cabbage was spiced, but biting down on a whole star anise was an awful experience. Another member of our party found a whole clove. They really need to sift these out before serving.

Got seated quickly. Waiter friendly..ordered roasts. Barely warm. When this was told to the waiter he didn't know what to say. One bowl of veg for the three of us. REALLY !! the beef had gristle through it and very rare.. would not recommend this place.

We dropped in on our way back home for an impromptu early dinner. We were swiftly seated as we assured the host that we would be quick with our dinner as the table had a reservation in the next hour. The food arrived promptly and was all delicious. Th drinks were great and the service was fantastic. Max , our waiter was constantly checking to see that we had all we needed, nothing missing from our table and was all round a lovely meal out, would highly recommend.
