Crofters Pantry in Flintshire

Owned a caravan near by for the past 4 years and crofts has been a bit hit and miss for around 3 years. However now Under new management, the ladies were lovely, food great, nice and clean and would recommend. Will be going back😁

After visiting the Crofters Pantry for the last 4 years it soon became mine and my partners ‘favourite cafe ever!’ Being caravan owners close by we would eat here on a regular basis and advertised the cafe to our guests. We visited last summer and quickly noticed it was under new management, we didn’t mind as things still seemed the same and the menu was similar. Overall, it wasn’t great but we thought maybe it’s teething problems and that was understandable in any establishment. We decided to visit again this weekend and after being told the place was in fact under new management and had been for a number of months the service again was shocking!! We ordered breakfast, as we waited the staff seemed to all be flustered and it was chaos! Not one meal got delivered to the correct table the first time around, the staff were wandering from table to table searching to find the tiny table numbers that lay flat on each table so had no clue where they was going!! As we waited, we saw 2 separate customers return with takeaway orders which were incorrect or had missing items. Our food was served a good 40 minutes after ordering, toast that accompanied the breakfast was left on the table 12 minutes before the breakfast came so was freezing when the rest arrived! We did ask for fresh toast to be made and it was. Overall the food again wasn’t necessary piping hot, something the old owners excelled in as every meal looked fresh and was presented well and piping hot. The staff member identified I think that we wasn’t happy, she said she was the owner and excused it by explaining that she had a different chef working as her usual chef booked a holiday to which she rolled her eyes! Not great customer service from the owner in my opinion. At this point we left and unfortunately won’t be returning and will no longer promote to holiday makers. I would be grateful if anybody knows where the previous owners have ventured too if they have stayed local or managing another cafe in the area etc?

Read that this cafe was excellent and also dog friendly so called in for lunch today after our walk in the sun. Not only was the cafe empty apart 2 people who seemed to be either the owners or protective locals who were sitting at a table but there was only one parking space available and we were greeted by a chorus of condemnation by the table occupants and young lady server as we had a little dog!! We quickly made ourselves scarce and breathed a sigh of relief as with such an unpleasant greeting, lunching in this 'school dining hall' type cafe would have been disagreeable. I have since read that this place has new owners.

Finally returned...still fantastic service,,,and breakfast was great....pity it will be closing soon for winter

Just been to crofters pantry What can I say All the food i bought as a takeaway was lovely and fresh Tuna mayo bap nice and fresh Steak baguette lovely and hot And the tray of chips where brilliant as well I have been to crofters a few times down the years [think it may have changed hands] But I can tell you I will be going back again Keep up the good work

Had a few days away in wales and ate here a couple of mornings and also got a takeaway breakfast! The food was so fresh, and the place very welcoming with gorgeous views if you sit outside! Would absolutely recommend x

Great little cafe with indoor and out door seating area. The large free car park opposite makes this a good place to stop after or before a walk onto the seafront, dunes and beaches. It was very clean with friendly staff.

Lovely little cafe offering a wide selection of quality home cooked food. We visited on a sunny day and sat outside, plenty of tables. We had a few things on the menu but the chili cheese chips are to die for if you like spicy !

We came here for a quick family lunch. All our food came super quickly, and was delicious. The place is very well decorated and has good options for desserts! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Place: 5/5

I ordered the full pantry breakfast and you will search for a long time to find anywhere better than here. If your in the area I highly recommend coming here. I am certain I will be back

This is the first time visiting Crofters for food, we only called in on the off chance and what a pleasant surprise.... not only was it lovely inside, immaculately clean with very friendly staff, the breakfast was lovely, everything was cooked to perfection with quality produce! We will definitely be returning, it will no doubt become our go to place for food 😁

Visited Crofters Pantry for the first time today, very slow with the coffees waited over quarter of an hour for two coffees and a milk shake and sign saying fur babies welcome but only sitting outside on a picnic bench! Considering the amount of potential customers in caravans with dogs, within the near vicinity of the cafe you’d think they’d make you more welcome with your dog. Also apart from paying £4.50 for a piece of apple pie - expensive and very limited choice of deserts. We won’t be visiting again.

After visiting many places in the Prestatyn area for food, Crofters Pantry is by far the best. I had bacon and egg on toast and the yolk just pops in your mouth and my partner had “The Full Pantry” and cleaned the entire plate! All of the staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived, the cutlery and condiments were brought straight to our table ready for our food to be served. All areas of the cafe are kept clean and tidy and the staff couldn’t have done anything more. Your team at Crofters pantry are a pleasure and the food is beautiful. We will definitely be returning😀

Visiting my very elderly mum so was in the area and a visit here for breakfast was a must! .I had the full breakfast and my wife scrambled egg on toast with sausages .Very friendly staff and the place was spotlessly clean. Food looked really appetising, and everything tasted great. Particularly like the sausages here

Having driven past this cafe numerous times on the way to our holiday park we decided to have a breakfast having seen that this place was highly recommended.We were not disappointed one bit. The staff were lovely and the large breakfasts we had were so good.All fresh ingredients and piping hot.We'll certainly be visiting againWell done everyone

Amazing freshly cooked food with a wide choice of family favourites. Drinks menu is incredible too. Above all the staff here are great, amazing service always makes eating out a pleasure. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely little cafe which we decided to visit after seeing the positive reviews on here. Great choice of food and very good value. We are here three times during our week at the Haven site (I have written a positive review about that too as we had no issues on our holiday!) Staff here were helpful and the cooked breakfast was lovely. My 11 yo daughter loves the milkshakes! Great find

We had lunch here yesterday. What excellent value for money . The service was excellent with a lovely, polite young team. We’ll definitely eat here again. I had an enormous fresh plate salad and my husband had a cooked lunch. Both were polished off with gusto.

Fabulous food, all staff are super friendly, welcoming and polite. Food was served in 15 minutes from ordering and tasted absolutley delicious. I will definitleybe returning🙂

Hate leaving poor review but gone to pot since lady left behind counter,chef/cook doesn’t know what crispy well done bacon is ,ordered food to take away 3times in last month or so ended up in the bin and I complained for the first time this weekend and rather than except my complaint I was accused of nicking the toast that was never in the bag in the first place,my wife and 4 friends all ordered food the week before and all five orders were wrong.always have got our food from here but won’t be bothering again

Just been in for a coffee and cake got served by a girl with attitude couldn't crack a smile if she tried through the food down at use didn't Evan speak.An on top of all this the coffee and cake was horrible The attitude came because my partner lost her card and was panicking and we weren't deciding what we wanted quick enough for her yet we were the only ones in there.when the next customers came in she was just as bad.wont ever go again

A nice little cafe with friendly helpful staff and a good menu (including vegetarian and vegan options apparently). So why only cows' milk? It's a long time since I stumbled upon a cafe anywhere in the developed world that didn't have a non-dairy option!

Called in for breakfast today, food as good as ever, great service and reasonably priced. So nice to be able to eat inside again. Will be back!

Sat outside on a sunny day with the dog. My wife had childs breatfast and was very pleased with it. I had the regular breakfast and that was pleanty for my brunch. All washed down with a lovely mug of tea. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Will have to come back another day for Cornish cream tea and Kellys Cornish ice cream :)

We have been visiting the cafe for over 4 years now as caravan owners. Maria and her team provide an exceptional service and wonderful food. Always top quality and piping hot. A great breakfast or lunch spot, or for a coffee and ice-cream. My kids love it so do my parents. Local businesses need our support now more than ever, so go and grab a delicious takeaway, you wont be disappointed!

We were travelling through the area and looking for somewhere to stop for breakfast when we found this lovely little restaurant that had just opened after the lockdown (takeaways only). We were greeted by a lovely friendly girl who took our order and explained the breakfast would come in a box complete with cutlery. We had the most delicious breakfasts delivered to our car (no waiting inside). Lovely tasty breakfast with quality ingredients, and to my joy they were both piping hot. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, tasty food, friendly staff and a spotlessly clean. Please go and support these lovely local businesses, they need us now more then ever!

Called in for a salad box,to take out...even though the cafe was very very busy,think the number of people in there ,shows how popular it is,the service I got was brilliant,and nothing was too much trouble.

This little gem is indeed worth a visit, you cant just go once, it's too memorable, the Breakfast are out of this world, never had to complain you just have to go back for more, clean fresh area, wonderfull staff, not to be beaten,

Excellent food served here. Try and get there before they close at 3pm. Seasonal opening as close to holiday parks. Car park across from cafe. They do breakfast and takeaway. Staff are always friendly also have ice-cream parlor.

Best Breakfast around, we called early season and when open again we will be going back to our twice weekly visit, well done, cannot fault you, now have a good holiday and rest ready to start again next year,

Best breakfast in whole of north wales, it is in a different league of serving a much higher quality and class of a breakfast to other local cafes/pubs.Excellent food taste and quality.Bought 3 large take out breakfasts on 3/11/19 last day of opening and all made to my requirements and they were perfect, and purchased two cherry coke's also.Many thanks . We had breakfast here twice whilst on holiday at Presthaven, the staff were really friendly and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. The food was lovely and arrived quickly and the prices are very reasonable. Hopefully we will be back again 😀😀

Great friendly staff who deliver excellent service. Always served with a smile. Food is prepared superbly and delivered to the table in good time. Clean and friendly atmosphere inside the cafe adds to a homely feel. Definitely the type of place you would come back to again and again.

We were staying in the area so my wife and I bought my elderly mum here for breakfast once more. Don’t need to go anywhere else as this place always serves such consistently great breakfasts! I had the large breakfasts with tomatoes and extra hash brown and a cappuccino. The others had regular breakfasts with tea. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere in this café. As well as table menus a lot of the dishes and specials were also displayed on boards around the counter areas etc. Food came out quickly and looked really appetizing. Everything tasted great. from bacon to seasoned sausages etc etc . Appreciated the quality and flavour of bread used for the toast. Highly recommend-5 stars

Whilst holidaying at presthaven we decided to breakfast here as we remember how good it was last year when visiting. Took the granddaughter this time. Truly lovely and staff are amazing. We are definitely gonna come back next year. Thanks guys ❤️

Maria and her staff are just the most amazing people, the welcome and service you get here is phenomenal and I have recommended the Crofters Pantry to many many people already. I work on the Little Tern project on the dunes at Gronant and so Maria looked after me the whole season, from milkshakes to pain au chocolates, to letting me use the toilet crucially! Good food, good coffee, good people, nuff said.

Went here just before we returned home after a weekend at Presthaven. What can i say, great prices, warm and welcoming staff and the quality was just fab. Been before and was just as good as I remember, will be back again.

We would like to add this little review , we had a week at haven caravan park for the first time , the van was nothing less than quality , however the site itself although well kept left a hell of a lot to the imagination. The place was an entrapment place to screw every last dime from the holiday makers penny arcades charging a pound per go and fast food at al la carte prices . We found a supermarket ten mins away and by accident ( needing the bathroom) we called into CROFTERS PANTRY . As soon as the door opened the world seemed to be different SMILES , happy people , an outstandingly clean cafe set out to make you feel at home . We are guessing that it is a little family run business and everyone including the chef came to greet us . The selection of food was amazing for such a little cafe and shockingly the prices , all of them down to earth true prices , a million miles from the robbers next door . We enjoyed a full breakfast , a chicken curry and pilau rice and the little one had sausages on toast , all washed down with coffee (machine stuff ) and juice for little man . tRUST me this was less than a tenner and worth a lot more . We wished we found this little place at the start of our holiday we only managed to visit twice but very very well recommend, myself being a chef and an ex restaurant owner I would tell everyone to give it it try ... the little cafe heaven outside the gates of haven ....... god bless and thankyou I give my condiments to the chef .

Came with the Buddies North Wales breakfast club and it was packed! The staff did very well, the café was very clean and well presented. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back 😊

We visit here a lot whilst staying on Greenachres. The food is very nice. Everything we've had has been fresh and well presented. Tasty. Great prices. And the lady behind the counter is just great. Always smiling even when run off her feet. You wont be disappointed!

Visited with our 3 children on a very hot day! The food was delicious a d service top notch. Staff were friendly and didnt turn their nose up at the fact 3 little ones wanted feeding- fyi the bacon butties got demolished!

We visited the Crofter’s Pantry for lunch yesterday and what an enjoyable experience it was. We were served by a lovely, smiley lady and our food was served by a very polite young man. Each of us (4) chose something different from the menu and no-one was disappointed. Great value for money too. We will be going back.

Hubby and I visit the cafe reasonably regularly Always very friendly service, comfortable inside and spotlessly clean. Varied menu with specials. Hubby had home made beef stew and dumplings with a roll for £4.50. It was very tasty and healthy and great value.

Excellent cafe, fantastic large breakfast and lovely friendly lady who served us.

It is very much in the traditional cafe style with a few modern twists. The staff were very helpful, the food was hot, promptly delivered to the table and cooked to perfection. We arrive a few minutes early but the cafe was ready to bang on time. We will certainly be back on our next visit to the area.

Woke up Sunday morning fancying a good breakfast and a quick Google revealed this place and thought worth a try due to such good reviews. Wow what a great place and absolutely immaculate (5 Star hygiene rating). The food is of a very high standard, plenty of it and reasonably priced. We were served with a smile and all the staff were friendly and accommodating creating a welcoming atmosphere. Parking is easy right across the road and free so not a problem to get to for less mobile people and no steps to deal with either.

Absolutely delicious big breakfast which was gratefully devoured ! . SPOTLESSLY clean. Friendly smiling staff and lovely decor. Sparkling loos. After a miserably wet week camping ( trying to sort ot a house sale gone wrong! ) we booked a week in Presthaven Holiday park and headed here as the first place we saw open selling hot food. SO pleased to have found it. There as a great selection on the menu and fair prices. Our big breakfast was too much for us ( intentionally) so we could reserve several bits for our 3 dogs who waited gratefully in the car directly outside. That’s a nice touch - being able to keep our eye on the pups when we ate. All in all...11/10. So glad we have chosen to move up this end of the country when you have little gems like this on your doorstep :) Thanks guys be back soon x

Called in at Crofters Pantry for a snack and a coffee on a Friday morning. Parking outside and also across the road. Very busy. Just about managed to get a table.

I visited here with my son and his two young boys for lunch as we were staying at the nearby Presthaven Beach holiday park. The prices are very reasonable and the food is great. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely visit again when I am in the area

Beautiful little cafe, with helpful staff (we ran out of money and with no cash machine, I asked for tap water, but they gave us juice which was nice) the lady was so friendly and helpful.

Friendly welcome and minimal wait for 4 large breakfast and a toastie. Really clean and tidy place. Even picked up some homemade jams for back home. Would return if in the area.

Had an amazing breakfast 2 days in a row while at a festival near by. Would highly recommend...just wish they were nearer home I'd definitely be a regular!

8 of us came in for breakfast, friendly and efficient service, food came quickly even though the waitress was on her own. Meals were tasty and great value. Highly recommendeded!

Was really looking forward to Crofters opening after winter shutdown..was not disappointed today when we called on 1st day opening...meals were delicious and owners could not have been more welcoming...

The pantry is just the place for kicking off those shoes and enjoying refreshments after walking the beach whether from Ffynongroew or Prestatyn, you will find a welcome, from friendly staff and good food to refresh you for the next leg, or your return walk.

Love the food in here! Always tasty and served as quick as they can! (Just wish their opening times would be a bit longer some times! ;) )

Came here for a breakfast Large meals but poor quality food sausages tasted like they were deep fried from frozen (not fresh) bread and butter came when we had almost finished our food,won't be rushing g back but willing to return if we are in the area again

What a pleasant surprise to find such a quality restaurant on a street leading to a busy holiday resort. Nearby are the sand-dunes which provide habitats for birds and other wildlife, thus attracting naturalists from near and far! Crofter's Pantry is a popular cafe for holidaymakers and other visitors throughout the year.

We had the pleasure of eating here two days on the trot on our short stay at the Haven site on the same road.

As a regular walker with a group of friends in the Prestatyn area...we all look forward to a visit to ‘Crofters Pantry’ following our walks...excellent food (veggie breakfast in particular ), always so clean and tidy,excellent staff and service with a smile...can recommend this cafe to anyone...very reasonable prices...excellent value for money...a ‘must try’.

Called in here whilst on holiday at prest haven sands. Had a large breakfast and it defiantley was large. It was delicious sausages, bacon everything cooked to perfection. Fabulous cafe and great value for money. Lovely atmosphere. Couldn't recommend more highly just wish I had sampled more of there menu. Not enough time unfortunately

Fantastic service and food,nothing is too much trouble even at busy times....we have been numerous times ,and have had various meals off menu and specials board,their homemade soups are to die for....only downside is they close for winter around November,can't wait for reopening in March..
