Creed Coffee in Carrickfergus

This place used to be really great, not sure if it’s been taken over or what, we were in the other day for the first time in a long while, the coffee is still great but waited about 40 minutes for it, they seem to care about their delivery customers more than their sit ins

This was our first time trying creed and what a find the food was amazing !!! I never knew creed served food I thought it was just a coffee shop ,but my girlfriend looked it up on Sunday morning and we couldn't believe the menu she found .We went for the pannies a soup which was delicious,and 2 slices of chocolate fudge cake !! The pannies have to be the best I have EVER tasted everything was perfect even the presentation of the delivery I just wish I had known they served food before and delivered.If I can say anything to creed ,guys get the word out there you do such amazing food I live five minutes from you and I honestly didn't know 🙈keep up the great work you have definitely got new customers

First but not last visit to creed,extensive menu ranging from breakfast to lunch or scones and traybakes for lighter bites,staff very pleasant,service excellent and fast,food arrived and wow,delishes and very well presented value for money!!!can't wait to come back!!!

Really nice little coffee shop with a big selection of food options. We had the club sandwich which was amazing - it was a jam packed full triple decker! The service was slow but it was busy with every table full. Would definitely come back.

The food and speed of service were fine. The staff seem pleasant in their interactions with other staff but is there a policy that staff should not smile at customers? Really cold as well but can't be too hard on them for that because of the current cost of heating. Leaving now ...

My family was visiting Northern Ireland from the U.S. We loved this restaurant so much that we visited this restaurant twice during our visit. It’s very family friendly, the food is delicious, and the service is great.

Called on Sunday around 12.45pm. Was advised there was a waiting time for food. Told the girl behind the till that was fine as we just wanted coffee and traybakes. So we ordered 1x tin fizzy orange , 1x Americano 2 smoothies and a caramel square. I got my tin straight away and we sat down for the wait........and we waited as 6/7 members of staff kept passing by in a chaotic manner. After around 20mins I managed to speak to a member of staff to try and find where our order was. To which she replied you need to order at thd counter. I informed her we had. (Bearing in mine I had my drink and a table number). After about another ten minutes the drinks finally arrived. But no traybake! I had my orange finished by then, with no offer of a glass or ice. Bill was around £15, and we walked out wishing we'd just had a coffee at home. Pure chaos...

Called in earlier, maybe half full, with a Customer in front of me paying for a takeaway. Once they settled up, I waited for 2/3 minutes, waiting for at least an acknowledgement before I was actually served. Alas, no, 5 or 6 Staff members behind the counter, total ignorance of my presence, I simply left without making a purchase. I notice the prior 3/4 reviews have given a poor scoring and a similar story, I guess no one in this place reads Tripadvisor to take note of their poor customer focus

Saturday morning treat with the children, after 30min wait, and being ignored at the till when trying to pay for the extra drinks because the children had finished theirs, I’m afraid we won’t be back.

My husband and I used to love this place but the last 2 times we've gone in the service has been atrocious. The first time we ordered coffees and apple tart and cream. Coffees came eventually and I had to go to the counter twice to ask what was keeping the apple tart. The second time it was coffee and german biscuits which took a ridiculous amount of time to come. Service has gone cometely downhill and like anotherreviewer I would recommend people to try some of the other coffee shops in Carrickfergus.

Staff friendly but could do with being better organised, once order is taken and number given far too long a wait then confusion over what was ordered, coffee eventually came. An order of cheese burger at £8.45 with not even a little side salad is poorly presented and to my mind overpriced. Someone needs to take charge and presentation needs some thought. Well located and seems busy but think it’s worth trying all the coffee shops in Carrickfergus to compare, think I will be doing that and suggest others might do the same, support all our businesses

What Creed does, it does well, though they are risk of becoming a victim of their own success….it certainly seemed that way after my last visit. I popped in for a quick coffee on Friday. The place was very busy, warm and loud. Staff seemed flustered with dockets all over the place. The customer in front was told deli items would be at least half an hour, thankfully my order was pretty simple. I opted to sit outside…..where I waited 20minutes, gave up and went in to ask for my coffee to go. After another couple of minutes standing at the counter watching the staff run about like headless chickens and ignore me, I gave up and left….no sit down coffee, no take away coffee, no refund. I don’t know how to run a business….but it certainly isn’t this way.

So this is becoming a favourite place to get breakfast. We've so far tried the breakfast platter, amazing. Breakfast wraps, French toast, pulled pork with poached eggs.. and tried some of the deserts too. Presentation of the food here is great. Frozen drinks are delicious. We love it here

This wee spot is worth a visit if only for a good coffee! Staff friendly and when we visited on Sunday it was very busy.

It's a shame because the food and coffee here is lovely, however you must be prepared to wait for at least 45mins on your order/food to arrive. Even for something as simple as a cup of coffee or a plate of pancakes. Won't be back...

Varied menu for a relatively small cafe although breakfast stops at 12 when the modern trend is for all day availability. Coffee is good and food ok, will get there before noon next time! Just try and have the tables cleared and cleaned.

Poor tasteless food / overpriced and staff who don’t care about customer service .. Would never recommend Creed to anyone

We popped in for a quick bite, and after being ignored by the staff, endured a ridiculously long wait for a panini and a wrap. Bit pricey for all that it was, and the food is nothing special but at least it was edible. Poor...

Recently purchased 2 peanut butter stacks from the shop in Carrickfergus, was shocked when the total came to £9, this is far too expensive for 2 tray bakes. I'd think management would need to have another look at cost price on items in the shop.

Came here today and we got 2 coffees, a warm caeser salad and a bun and it came to £15 which is very good. My frappe was amazing and the warm caeser salad, Wow. It was delicious such a big portion and was so yummy....

Having had coffee here before and very pleased with this Establishment i noticed they were doing Sunday Dinner and a delivery service during this covid 19 lockdown and wanting to help local business in the carrickfergus i decided to give it a go . Ordered 2 Roast Beef Dinners and a Roast Chicken Dinner total cost including delivery £17:50 great value . The food arrived as prearranged good size portions well presented and i only needed to reheat them The family were well pleased and empty plates all round first class service and food we shall return give them a go and support our local business during this very difficult time

Great wee accessible cafe with good parking that does tasty light meals, snacks and beverages. Meals can range between naan bread “wich” to medium to hot curries.

Good buns nice decor friendly reasonable prices free wifi We make this visit every Sunday but better get the mint squares back

First time in Creed, was very happy surprised to stumble across it while taking the causeway costal road. I will remember the for future reference. Tasty lunch and good coffee.

I can only recommend this place.We moved to Northern Ireland not long ago and every now and then I visit this coffee place even tho I have nothing to do at Carrickfergus.Their coffee is really good. Personal favourite is Machiato (not sure if the spelling is write)Also their peanut butter stack(desert) is amazing.If you guys passing by, it definitely worth a try

Was in Carrickfergus yesterday so decided to call in for some breakfast and coffee.Went for the poached eggs, bacon & avocado on gluten free toast which came out beautifully presented, however the toast was not only stone cold but it was also quite soggy so as you can imagine, it wasn’t very enjoyable. No one likes to have cold, soggy toast. Wouldn’t be in a hurry to rush back here.

Waited 15 minutes for 2 cups of coffee, ridiculous . Poor quality coffee and almost cold when we eventually received them

Decided to eat here to give a local firm my money whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn. Breakfast was good and cheaper than if I had eaten at the hotel.

Busy coffee shop with parking outside. Good range of tray bakes but limited amount of hot food in the evening when I was there. The shop was busy and there are sofas as well as chairs, but customers were lying across them (yes, literally) and it was a little cold inside. The peanut stack cake was very nice, wasn’t keen on the banoffee/brownie. There is a slight wait after ordering as they bring the drinks to your table, which is good. There were a lot of young people, maybe in their twenties, sitting with their laptops and the atmosphere was quite pleasant.

Visited here with my wife, daughter and granddaughter for lunch. Found there to be a good selection of food and refreshments available, service very friendly and nice laid back atmosphere. We all chose different food for lunch and everyone enjoyed their choices. Well worth a visit.

I have visited this coffee shop quite a lot since it opened, the staff are always lovley and busy. There is a really good selection of tasty cakes and treats and fantastic menu for breakfast lunch snacks ect and all tasty and fresh. I noticed today when having a coffee that the Christmas sandwiches advertised in shop where called sambos, I was a bit shocked as this is racist so a name change is needed or just sarnies. Would definitely recommend.

I am not one to write reviews but visiting creed has pushed me to do so. The coffee shop is situated in a perfect location on arrival driving in you can spot the historical castle and beautiful harbour. I arrived around breakfast time and the place was thriving, atmosphere most diffintley not. Staff looked miserable and short of any small conversation ( which can be understanding due to how busy they were) i approached the till area and ordered my wife and I some food which is freshly made Infront of your eyes which would of been a bonus if I hadn't of watched the girl serve me with her blue gloves on at the till exchanging my money and then proceed to make my food! Maybe some training in hygiene should be looked at. All in all I think this coffee shop has very good potential but a bit disappointed in certain areas. It is questionable if I shall return to creed or not.

Had a panini type dish...came with coleslaw delicious. The desserts looked amazing the only fault was the staff where not that friendly which if that had off been the case I would have given top marks.

I've got in with 4 staff members around. I was told to take a seat instead of placing my order at till. I thought that was weird seeing they are not that busy. I took a seat anyways, I waited for 10 minutes without anybody coming up to take my order. Then somebody else walks in and takes order at the till...

family run business, lovely people and food and snacks superb especially the mince stew and lamb curry.

We have visited this cafe so many times and each time it is full. It is probably one of the most popular cafes in carrickfergus. Coffees are delicious and the frappes are amazing. They have lovely snacks, buns and tray bakes and the staff are very pleasant

I live locally and myself and my hubby go here regularly. Usually once a week, but sometimes more if we fancy. It's just SO good. Nicest place in Carrick for breakfast food in my opinion. Staff are really friendly.

Came in for a bit of lunch before visiting the castle. The coffee was really nice and there was a great selection of food from create your own sandwiches and wraps to the movie star sandwiches and toastie (all named after different movie stars). Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely be back if we're in Carrickfergus again.

I've been to Creed lots of times and never been disappointed. They have some hidden gems like hot meals which not many people seem to know about (the chilli is fab)

Had the special wrap and a coffee, price was good service was great as was the taste. clean and tidy,, great display of food on offer, prices in full view, food prep edin full view.

I'm happy to recommend this coffee bar near the harbour which has a good range of barrista coffees and very taste snacks. All 4 of us had different snacks and were very pleased with the results. The cafe is well set out with welcoming furniture and the prices are reasonable. They also lunch time sandwiches etc.

Stopped by Carrickfergus Castle and decided to go to Creed Coffee while we waited for an Uber. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Great snacks. Would visit again. Great place to grab food for a picnic at the castle if you are a tourist.

Come at least once a week and is our regular Sunday morning slot. Staff are a delight and they have a great menu. Their fruit porridge is lovely

It's the " in place " always busy with a wide range of customers. A nice touch is that it stays open late. The menu is comprehensive and reasonably priced. The staff are great. I think it could do with a "brightening up". Limited parking is available... if you park in the adjoining street parking is limited to an hour!

My sister and I were looking for a place for breakfast in Carrickfergus while I was visiting. She had only popped into Creed once and remembered they served breakfast so we gave it a shot. We were so pleased! The staff was very friendly. The food portions were abundant and delicious. I had the fruit porridge and my sister had the sweet pancakes. She was impressed by the amount of fruit provided with them. The chai latte was also pitch perfect! I think it will be our new go-to!

Creed serves a wide variety of sanwich ingredients, cakes and bakes, as well as having some excellent seating, a surprisingly good view considering it is mostly of the road, great decor especially the writing on the wall, and pleasant staff.

We often stay in the Premier Inn Carrickfergus when visiting family. This is always our go to for breakfast - freshly cooked to order every item on the menu we've tried has been great.

Friendly staff, fast efficient service and food is outstanding ranging from a full dinner to coffee and a scone

Popped in for a coffee catch up with my best friend Ciara, and we were met by the wonderful Ryan! He was welcoming, chatty, and the customer service was second to none! Ryan was so enthusiastic and we thoroughly enjoyed a wee chat while being served our Vanilla Chia Lattes (which are delicious btw)! Thank you Ryan, you made our day!

I am an occasional customer at the Carrickfergus dhop and im yet to be disappointed. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. I was last in a week or so ago, the young man at the till was very polite and was very patient whilst I was making up my mind on what fillings to have in my sandwich, and when he brought it over he was so attentive and went and grabbed me some milk and cutlery (to which I had walked straight past).

Lovely place to have a quick grub.Always busy but worth waiting for a wee while. Very handy and can just walk from the castle parking.

Had the most amazing club sandwich in creed today. The staff are so accommodating - I’m 8 months pregnant and they couldn’t have looked after me better. Had a decaf mocha which was one of the best I have ever tasted - can’t wait to try their a cheesecake from their Cheesecake Factory next time.

Have passed this coffee house several times and it always looked inviting. Decided to call in on Valentines day with my wife whilst out for a leisurely drive. My first disappointment was when I asked for 2 flat white coffees, one decaf, to be informed they had no decaf of any description. I would have thought a coffee house would be able to cater for this request as it specialises in coffee and sells other menu items describing them as either vegan or gluten free. I ordered the coffees anyway and was informed they would be delivered to our table. My second disappointment was the size of the cups. For £2.45 per cup I thought it poor value for money and was further disappointed the coffee, when tasted, was at best lukewarm.

This little spot is a great place to relax and have a good catch up. The food has good variety and I like that they have smoothies and some healthy alternatives. Any time I’ve been there it’s actually been quite quiet but can get busy in the evenings! Sometimes service is slow but very understandable. They do try their best. I do find that the prices are just that bit more expensive to other cafes around carrick and this sometimes puts me of coming needless to say

Went to Creed today with my partner and friends for lunch. Food was a considerable wait but we didn’t mind as we had been before and we knew it was worth a wait. Our lunches all arrived individually. Mine was 3rd of 4, followed shortly by my partner’s. As the server brought my partners panini with side salad, he dropped the plate with the contents of which landing on my back and shoulders, with sauce covering my clothes. The server proceeded to panic and state expletives, however failed to apologise as he brushed up the mess. He dabbed my coat which was then heavily soiled and will have to be dry cleaned. A brief apology was uttered however no further apology even when we ordered desserts. A real disappointment from somewhere we usually love.

I thoroughly enjoy visiting Creed each time I go there. There is a lovely atmosphere and comfortable seating.

I had driven past this place on a number of occasions and always thought it looked so lovely. So we stopped today and finally went in. Again, it looked wonderful with the Christmas tree and the traybakes looked delicious, so did the menuboard. We ordered 3 lattes and a hot chocolate and had to wait quite a while to get them to our table. two of the drinks had spilled onto the saucer but there was no apology. The girl maybe had a hard day, we gave her the benefit of the doubt. The coffee was ok, not very hot, average. So, a bit disappointed that the visit didn't deliver on the high hopes I had for it.

Service was quick. Staff were present. Customer service was mediocre. 1 latte out of 3 was hot whilst 2 were cold. Cakes were ok but nothing to write home about. Would I give them a second try......meigh don't count on it anytime soon.

I have been a regular customer of Creed Carrickfergus since it opened. However my last few visits have left me disappointed. Staff excellent and coffee good however food has was below standard. Asked for a sandwich and got just that, no dressing crisps or coleslaw like you used to get when first opened. Time for a change

This popular cafe is on the edge of town, easily got too. Parking not great but good parking nearby with short walk. Food fresh and beautiful. Well presented and reasonably priced. Soft seating and other table seats, all comfortable. Good variety of foods and drinks.

I’ve been attending Creed for years since it opened with friends, business clients and my girlfriend. Super location in Carrick, cannot complain one bit about selection of food on display. Breakfast, lunch and a vast selection of buns, tray bakes and cakes alongside their hot and cold beverage selection. Superb place to visit; can spend hours at a time there with some good company.

Disappointed with the “plastic ‘ cheese slices they are now serving with sausage and burger .. come on guys don’t go cheap it doesn’t suit you . On a positive note the staff are still as friendly .

Travelled out to carrick to creed for a Sunday morning breakfast with my wife. Got there around midday and was impressed with the menu especially a large board advertising an avocado and egg breakfast with smoothie special, which we decided on. We then waited our turn and at 1206 the girl behind the counter told us breakfast was over at 12. There was only 3 other couples inside and they were still advertising the breakfast with the large flipboard display before the counter. Customer service and unaccomadating so we left without eating.

Went here on 15/8/18 with my friend to get a lovely breakfast (or so we thought)! We ordered our food and took a seat.

I'm afraid Creed has gone down a little in my opinion - the staff can be really lovely but a few times have been quite abrupt. On one occasion they overcharged a family member and when it was pointed out didn't apologise but did refund the amount. Also I had recently been in quite often to get iced coffees to take away for another family member and noticed the loyalty cards so I said I'd best get one as I had been getting so many iced coffees. They then informed me points were only given for hot drinks! Given the cost of iced lattes this is very unfair. So overall I feel it's only now worth 3 stars while shortly after it opened I'd felt it deserved more. Given the number of options to get coffee, tea, snacks etc in Carrickfergus I think they need to improve their customer service as I am sure I'm not alone in noticing the change. I regret to say that I won't be rushing back.

I always enjoy Creed. They stock soya milk! Was there yesterday with Croatian friends. They enjoyed the cakes and coffees and time to sit and talk. Staff really helpful.

Lovely coffee. Friendly staff. Great for breakfast and lunch. Nice experience. Very relaxed and comfortable.

Service was poor, didn't understand the order and then gave us dirty glasses along with a portion of chips which they admitted were uncooked. Disappointing and shocked.

A great meeting hub with plenty of buzz. Cappuccino lovely and food great value for money. Highly recommend giving creed a try.

Nice cafe , found some deserts to be made from Philadelphia cheese, great if you like that ,waste of money if you don't but other than that it's a nice place to catch up with a friend

This is the second time I visited creed coffee. It was definitely better than the first. Apple crumble very tasty and the blackcurrant tea has good flavour too. Even though the tea was the same colour as the cup, I still enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Customer service excellent. The more people came in the nose level raise.

The kind of place hipsters would enjoy. But seriously, I ate there a couple of weeks ago and I can't stop thinking about it. Considering going back up north just for their southern blue caesar wrap and iced vanilla latte. Truly delicious.

We’ve been to Creed Coffee a bunch of times and the service and food is always really good. It’s of high quality and the atmosphere is nice.

My wife and I called in with our baby on Saturday midday. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and along with great coffee and food it would be hard not to give this place 5 stars 👌🏻. We’ll definitely be back.
