Craigie Farm rescued our day out when we couldn't get a table in nearby South Queensferry: spacious, airy cafe, with fantastic views over the Forth and the added bonus of being able to see the planes land at Edinburgh airport. Best play centre we have visited. Kids enjoyed going to farm area, inside play and outside play. We had a snack then went to visit ponies. Returned to the play barn and did everything again! Good that the shop had a variety of toys with a range of prices. Great that we could go in and out. Staff were helpful and friendly. Cost pretty good for the time spent there. We will definitely be back.

We visited little farmers with 1x 1 year old and 2x 4 year olds. The 4 year olds loved it. As did the 1 year old. But, seriously, 2 adults and 3 under 5 £38.85 inc booking fee? It's very expensive. As a mum with a 1 year old, just the two of us would be £16 + booking fee. I think that's excessive. My boy can barely walk! I can walk but, don't really need to be there but for my child. The food is expensive. But, nice. I would probably buy more food and drinks if I wasn't paying £8 for entry? What do I get for £8? Another chance to run after my boy? You do get a "free" cup of tea or coffee but, I don't drink either. So, overall, it's an expensive day out when you can go to the park for free. However, as I said, my friend brought her 4 year old twins and they were absolutely loving it. She might still be there now!

Visited here on Saturday for breakfast. The place was nicely busy and staff friendly. I had the lairds breakfast. I can't complain about the quality of the produce. But unfortunately, the breakfast items were cold. Maybe just because of the way that things are stored. All in pre made bain marie's. Won't stop me returning to try again.

Coffee was really good and staff were welcoming. If a family of 4 adults are attending with 1 child we thought the price was overpriced - not reasonable - 3 adults just wanted coffee and to see little one play - no allowance for this and therefore extremely overpriced !

Really rubbish experience in the cafe. The service took forever and was disappointing. They have a shop full of lovely local produce that clearly doesn’t make it to the restaurant. Real mass produced rubbish. They are also pointlessly serving drinks in disposable plastic cups, I thought was pretty irresponsible for a farm cafe, simply to avoid washing.

After a wonderful morning at the little farmers play area we headed over to a deli to buy some fresh produce. We were sold already cut piece of St Andrews’s which I queried already in the shop that it looks a little bit black. The server brushed me off that it’s how it’s meant to be. After cutting it at home one day later we realised it was all mouldy inside. Really disappointed as they are giving the impression of premium service. Firstly let me say, I love Craigie’s Farm! I love the cafe and the farm shop. Both are top notch. However, on this occasion, my self and my daughter (15) were meeting family (2 adults and 1 4yo) for coffee and a catch up in “The Little Farm” play area. Myself and my 15 year old daughter were charged £14 for the privilege of a table and a chair to sit in, which included one filter coffee or cup of tea each (15yo does not drink tea or coffee). I am sorry but this is an absolutely ridiculous price! I understand paying for children to play, absolutely no problem. And of course, I would expect to pay for food and drink whilst there but £14 to even enter the building with no children of playing age is daylight robbery. Be ashamed of this Craigie’s and please do better!!! Even if we had been spending time with any of the animals (which I believe you can) £7 each is still expensive. Maybe consider a tiered approach to your charges and people would respect you more. Feels like you got a bit big for your boots. Hate leaving less than favourable feedback but feel it was warranted on this occasion - sorry.

Disappointing service and staff that were not really bothered. The cafe was quite so there was no excuses of staff being busy! Had to send main meal back as it was cold and when we ordered cakes after our meal we waited 15 min's before I had to go and ask a member of staff where our order of 2 cakes and a pot of hot water was only to be told 5 min's later the order hadn't went through and she would put it through again, by this time our teas and coffee were finished so we were't wanting cakes with nothing to drink, there was no offer of refills as an apology all I got was if you don't want to wait I can box them up for you to take away (most likely charging full price). Completely there fault this order didn't go through and the girl who served us didn't even notice we were still waiting I had to ask. Won't be back in a hurry as I would hate to have seen the level of service if they had been busy.

Why is it that farm shops and garden centres seem to think that they have an almost divine right to overcharge? This afternoon (9/02) I popped into Craigies on the way back home from Edinburgh with a good friend for a cup of coffee. On the way out I rembered I needed bananas and picked up a bunch of six at the farm shop there. I just avoided a heart attack at the till when I was asked for £3.12. Did I buy the bananas? I did not, but on the way home I went to Asda and bought 6 bananas at a cost of 84pence. Make up your own minds about that. The coffee was fine.

When we spoke to the customer assistant about it and said that instead of ordering on line we can just get it here he said he would speak to the office. He came back in 10 mins and said that they cannot discount alcohol but I could still order online for click and collect. When I went online the prices were updated and the customer assistant said the person in the office updated it just now. I find it very rude and sneaky. We’ve visited craiges a few times now and quite pleased with this place! The apples are Delish and one of our favourites and the highland cows are beautiful! Pumpkin picking was more expensive this year it felt but as excepted. These are grown themselves so...

What a complete rip off. Never going again. Pumpkin are a disgraceful price. Company that run the place lining there own pockets. Rip off families looking for some season fun

Had a nice afternoon visit here. The place was busy, and so the Service wasn't the best. We kept getting the wrong orders delivered to our table...and they tried presenting us with someone else's bill after we'd already paid. I guess they might have been short of staff? The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, however. Would recommend.
