The customer service here is immaculate. The vibes of the place is amazing. The cocktail “against the current” is so good 10/10 recommend so props to Megan for coming up with it. Jordyn served me in the most professional manner, she deserves a raise

Booked a table for a Sunday roast, we haven't had food here since lockdown ( which we got delivered) . The place was nice and we got a seat in the corner with the dog making herself comfy on the big cushion next to the radiator. The bar manager told us they hadn't got round to printing a Sunday menu yet but explained what was available. I went for the Turkey and Pork roulade wrapped in bacon £16 and my wife had the Faux-Chicken £16, both dishes were really nice with lovely sweet carrots and parsnips n greens and golden roasted potatoes. The mock Chicken comes from the vegan deli "Faux" made from Jackfruit was fine, but was quite strong on the thyme, my Turkey and Pork roulade was a nice change from the usual offerings. Staff were very friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived and they allowed dogs, they came over and gave her a bowl of meat scraps for free ( thoughtful touch). We were going to squeeze in a pudding but as they have not long taken over, they didn't have any on that day so we went and finished with a Mocktail £4 each. Great visit to a local place with a good portion each ( both felt full afterwards:) the only downside was the plates felt a bit small. Not too busy inside and will definitely go back again with friends, as it felt like a nice place to chill 8.5/10.

This place has changed hands more than I’ve changed my socks,,,,,, Visited Friday around 3pm, one other couple in the whole place,,,,,,who soon left,,,, 3 people behind the bar not really doing anything,,,,,, Needed the toilet , having a bad hip visited the downstairs toilet which is for disabled or people who struggle getting up stairs,,,,,,it was locked,,, all I got from the very helpful bar staff was the other toilets are upstairs they are locked ,,, really,,??? Shocking service, surprised this place is still going,,, it shouldn’t be,,,, bring back the Irish Bar,,,,,,,,

Popped in for a bite to eat when in the area and so pleased we did. Great pub, atmosphere and decor. Nice vibe whether couples, family or friends. Ordered the chicken skewer and it was delicious! The chicken was tasty and juicy and the potatoes and salad just so delicious. We will be back!!!

We had Sunday lunch here with the family. The food and the service were both excellent and the cocktails were great. It’s somewhere between a pub, and a modern art gallery. Everywhere you look there’s another interesting detail, even on the ceilings and floors! Best Sunday dinner we’ve had in a long time. We’ll definitely go back.

Was quickly becoming my favourite bar in Sherwood, dog friendly and tapas sharing platter excellent idea and value Friendly staff chilled atmosphere good drink selection. Looking forward to trying the Sunday roast. Update Nov..... ( 6 weeks later) would be much happier if the barman didn't pick up the slice of lemon for my drink with his fingers, say its OK because his hands are clean, then shortly after wipe his sweaty forehead with his t shirt; all this whilst behind the bar. If you can't provide tongs for the slices of fruit, maybe don't offer it in drinks or better still explain to staff about not using hands to put sliced fruit in customers drinks!!! Think its called basic Health and hygiene training?

Visited here on Sunday with some friends. I can honestly say I had the best Sunday roast I have ever eaten out. The quarter of chicken was so fresh and so full of meat. Real home cooked food. I will definitely be back for more. The staff were amazing and the atmosphere relaxed. I highly recommend a visit .

Went for food and a couple of cocktails here last night. The tapas dishes were superb! Service, as always, was friendly and prompt.

Visiting Sherwood today and the menu was on display outside and wow ! That was a late dinner sorted. All of us went on the tapas options. AMAZING , hot fresh and extremely tasty food. Staff were really helpful and chatty, The theme / decor is really great and makes excellent backdrops for photos. 11/10 for the Crafty Teller ! Now in our little book of go-back-agains.

Wow!!! , what a great way to breathe new vibrant life to what was a tired old boozer. Great beer, cocktails at decent prices. Love the new Tapas style menu, refreshing and certainly beats the same old crisps as a light bite or nibbles with my friends. You can tell the Chef really cares about what she is cooking - love it 🥰 The landlord is a real character who would not be out of place in the Queen Vic 😂🤣😂 , a true “Geezer” Big free car parks nearby with loads of charging points for electric cars - great for an after work half, nibbles and car charge!

As a family we went to Crafty Teller in Sherwood yesterday, Sunday. 3 ordered the roast beef roast. Sadly this was very disappointing. The meat was VERY pink and tough. The roast veg (potatoes & parsnips) were hard, as if they had been cooked and then reheated later. All 3 meals were not finished. Thevother meals were perfectly fine and enjoyable. When the waitress came to clear the table we raised our concerns. This was going to be passed on to the kitchen. Although the waitresses were lovely the service was very slow (room was not full by any means). When we came to pay our disappointment was expressed again but no attempt was made to compensate with a reduction in the bill or any other recompense. We had heard great things about this place so were very saddened by our experience.

Great good including vegan options, lovely cocktails. Well priced. Had a very good experience. Plus best vegan "chicken" burger I have ever had! They even had vegan mayo!

We were served by Megan and we had a lovely experience. She was on her own and you wouldn't have known. Food was fantastic and service was incredible.

It's not a bad pub, atmosphere is a bit lacking luster, but if your with a good group of friends you can make the most of it. Wish the music was just a bit louder though.

We took our friends to the Crafty Teller today for Sunday lunch after reading many reviews and it being recommended on the Sherwood facebook page. Our first experience was that we'd been there a while only to be told they'd forgotten about us, it wasn't busy at the time. We ordered 4 of the Lamb Sunday roasts which we were looking forward to. Firstly the meal was luke warm and then we were shocked to see that the lamb slices consisted of fat with bits of lamb dotted about. We commented about this and the waitress agreed it was too fatty, but that they'd put extra slices on our plates. After the fat had been cut away the actual meat content was negligible. The yorkshire puddings were solid, carrots overcooked - need I say anymore. We did give feedback to the waitress, but unfortunately there was no real apology from her or anyone else. I think for £14 they at least should consider giving a good honest hot meal with some meat on it. For £7 I could have gone to Nibbles and got a meal double the size with great meat. From a very disappointed customer who will not be returning.

Whenever I've been it's been friendly and peaceful, this is a thursday night, but I see that as a great thing. The food has always been great!

Well . It wasn't what we expected . We was asked what's our order so had a bottle of fizz which arrived so warm , our order was written down on there pad . When the food arrived it had cheese etc which we asked not to add . Spoke to the staff , which then came with the correct order . They blamed it on the kitchen staff .

A really pleasant discovery, no idea how long it's been here but I just found it. Really friendly staff who put up with me taking ages to choose a cocktail without batting an eyelid, decent prices and a good looking food menu that I look forward to nomming my way through.

Opens at 11, got there for 11:30 and it’s not open. knocked on the door and an employee pokes his head out and doesn’t return. What a great way to treat your customers. Sort it out

Last. Night I attended Craft at the Crafty teller. The event was amazing the food was fantastic and the staff and artists were incredibly friendly

Decent pub but with a strange (neither here nor there) vibe

I probably visit this place twice a month and have done for a year. They’ve never once let me down. Their chips are to die for and the rest of the food is actually great. They always ask how they could improve things or if there’s anything you’d like to see on the menu and it all goes back to the managers and chef. Their service is super friendly without being over familiar, and their drinks are brilliant. I’ve seen them cope with couples, big groups and lone diners with equal consideration. I’m pretty picky about my customer service but they always nail it perfectly. The breakfasts are massively under appreciated, honestly- try them. The decor is pretty funky and colourful without being garish- and the staff are always well presented. Seriously. This place is a hidden gem, and THE pub of Sherwood for me. I would always choose this place over stupid city centre for a bite to eat and drink. Oh- n try n grab a booth if you can. It’s super comfy.

Lovely little spot in Sherwood, where there are several great bars and pubs already, so competition is fierce. Waitress service due to covid, a great selection of beers. Worth a trip there just for the chimpanzee themed loos! And beers, obviously.

Covid safe table service, reasonable prices

Lovely place, good atmosphere, good selection of drinks...... But..... We were sat down by a waitress who said she'd be back to take our order. 15 minutes later she's still talking to the group of 8 sat opposite us. Now i know part of the service is to be friendly but this waitress appeared to be doing all the talking while we sat there like lemons waiting, it was actually quite rude. We didn't get served until another member of staff spotted that we had been waiting. This has put us off returning. Visit 10:30pm Friday 28th Jan I can now see the management reply..... And wholly disagree, we arrived around 10:30... And after a long wait we decide we would walk out if we didn't get served by 10.55, we actually got served at around 10.50. We are patient people normally but unlike said in the reply the staff were 100% "idle" chatting to another table next to ours after serving thier drinks. At no point ( on entry or otherwise) were we advised of any delay. You admit we had to wait a while but then say we only had to wait 4 mins?? .... Im not so sure you're looking at the correct people on your CCTV, like you said a few arrived at around that time. We watched at least 2 other couples come in after us. The response has now certainly put us off a return visit.

I love accidental finds and this was up there with the best. Good simple food beautifully presented and plenty of choice. We had the pie of the day and a pint for a tenner but it was a tough call as had gone in fancying a burger. Lovely staff who were both engaging, informative and fun. Quirky hand painted animal graphics everywhere were a nice touch. So much better than the formulaic chain pub we almost landed in when needing a meal that evening.

Always a great time to be had at Crafty. Great service and great food.

for the price it is 5star. Food was tastey and staff are nice. I had the turkey and cranberry pie, and i would definetely have it again. Of course a wide range of beers available, with my reccomendation being the gamma ray or neck oil. I would definetely go back. Best to book a tabke as it was busy.

This place has the potential of being excellent, but the majority of staff let it down. I don't think they like customers or have a sense of haste at all.

Another lovely Sunday roast at the Crafty Teller. Managed to reserve tables for 14 family members. Portion was huge and food gorgeous. Disappointed with the lack of pudding choice (so lost one star for no chocolate or fruit pudding option).

Always friendly service. Drink and food service is fast. Always our local choice for Sunday dinner.

A nice place but needs to decide what it wants to be. Is it a pub, a gastropub or a bar? It seems to be stuck doing all but neither at the same time. Lots of potential for a nice place to drink and eat once it works out it's niche.

Very friendly serving staff, limited menu a lot of items missing, which made me wonder what if anything is made on the premises - However, good steak, great chips, and service . Love the decorations and being inside with plenty of fresh air

Came here today as a party of 8. We all had a great time and the Sunday Lunch was very nice i personally was not a fan of the red cabbage which was very sweet in contrast to the rest of the meal. We were looked after very well by the staff so thank you ladies. We will be back.

excellent service, love the paintings and decor

I used to love this place but it seems to be struggling at the moment. We booked it for a friend's birthday who likes his draft bitter. On arrival we were told there was no bitter on draft. Also that the two main vegetarian options were off the menu (two of us are veggies). This was early lunchtime on Saturday and so not a time/day where you'd expect them to run out. The staff were lovely and tried to accommodate (I had a mix of different menu items put together). I can see another review where items were off the menu. Needs sorting as soon as possible as it is such a good place to go.

Had lunch whilst visiting veggie son and partner so we had a variety of meals and all were excellent , nicely presented and delicious . Took a while but worth the wait.

Went for lunch as part of a group of 4 people around 2.30pm on a Sunday afternoon. The staff welcome was friendly but we were then told a long list of around 6 different menu items that weren't available and a further 3 or 4 that only had one portion left. This also extended to beers as a couple of choices were unavailable. It wasn't hugely busy and less than half full so maybe it had been a busy week before that. The food itself was very nice and portion size was good but the prices were probably above average, a burger (with bacon and cheese) and chips with a pint was around £19.

Been here a number a times for Sunday lunch and it was always spot on, our go to place. However, we recently popped in and I have to say, we left rather disappointed. There is a flashy new menu (more in in keeping with a restaurant than a bar menu i'd say) but the meals just aren't as good. No tasty red cabbage, cheesy leeks, stuffing and mashed potato anymore. Just 3 small, chewy roasties that appeared to have been stood for hours, shrivelled up and chewy carrots and parsnips and a Yorkshire pud. It feels to me like they are trying too hard and not quite getting it right. You were great prior to the last lockdown Crafty Teller (and while offering takeouts), there was no need to change anything.

This is a great place to visit for food and drink. Since it reopened recently it has a new food menu with a gastro pub twist, thanks to an excellent new chef. Small menu and daily specials with a delicious choice. The prices are reasonable too for such good quality fresh food. The drinks and cocktail menu is also great. Love Ben’s new craft ale fridge. Should add, get down there for Sunday lunch. Brilliant!

Popped in for a a drink and we were advised we only had a short period of time as they were busy. The menu looked great and on the advice of Ben I ordered the pan seared duck and my future wife had the brisket. Both were excellent and we wanted to stay for longer. Ben accommodated us and moved us to a different table. Much wine and more later we left after having what turned out to be one of the best unplanned full nights out we’ve ever had. Big thanks to the team who delivered town centre quality in a local. Definitely going to be our go to restaurant in the future.

Disappointing Was expecting way more. Not worth the money. The veg was undercooked so couldn’t eat it , watery gravy and the pigs in blankets were not the greatest. Yorkshire pudding was probably the best thing on the plate.

Had a fantastic meal just before lockdown 2.0. Amazed that the 2 staff managed to adeptly deal with a pub full of people and did it all with a smile too. The food was excellent too!

Again another great meal and super covid secure experience. We had the classics, burger and chips and fish and chips on this occasion. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. As ever the staff are always friendly and so very welcoming. Stacey was attentive, Friendly and generally super. From a covid point of view they followed all government guidelines to the letter and it was great to see staff using the anti back provided.

Crafty Teller is definitely the kind of pub you want nearby! I don't go enough - but every time I do, I'm reminded of why I love it. The staff are really friendly and the service is brilliant. Dogs are welcomed warmly and the decor and atmosphere are great. Coffee and cake is always a good choice, but when you're in the mood for something savoury their menu is excellent. My personal guilty pleasure is the Ultimate Cheese Fries - probably a billion calories but absolutely worth it! Making it my mission to show support more regularly now times are tough for pubs, we need places like this.

If a selection of plant-based alternatives is Linda McCartney sausages this would accurate...not quite the Sunday Roast I’d hoped for...Everything else was lovely but veggie sausages is just lazy...not even premium sausages and bear in mind you’ll pay the same for this as the meat roasts...disappointing

Tried to come here on a wet Saturday afternoon . The two of us were met by a gentleman who was friendly and told is it was very quiet and he was hoping it would get busier. He proceeded to offer us a seat right near the entrance which would be very draughty. We asked if we could sit further inside to which he replied that we couldn't as he needed to save those several tables for larger groups. This looked highly unlikely to happen. So we took our business elsewhere. Le mistral was very accommodating and the food was excellent.

Este pub y cocina ahora ofrecen comida increíble, de muy buena calidad a excelentes precios y en grandes porciones. El almuerzo del domingo es enorme. Una gran variedad de bebidas también, aunque una cerveza sin gluten sería una excelente adición a las botellas en la nevera. También están lidiando con la seguridad de Covid mucho mejor que la mayoría de los lugares en Nottingham. Vale la pena una visita

No puedo decirles lo impresionado que estaba con las normas de seguridad e higiene que se han establecido y que claramente se están cumpliendo. Fantástico.La comida es excelente, en mi primera visita probé la lasaña y me encantó, hoy se agotó todo, así que comí salchicha y puré, esto fue igual de bueno.El servicio es tan amable y servicial, sé que este se convertirá en un lugar habitual para mí, incluso creo que me sentiría cómodo comiendo aquí por mi cuenta. Enhorabuena al equipo de Crafty Teller.

First time back in a pub since they have been open. Was really impressed with the Crafty Teller set up. Had to book the table initially with a time and duration of our visit. Upon arrival we had to wait in the porch area for a member of staff to seat us after sanitising our hands and the usual questions associated with Covid. No going to the bar, all table service, really friendly staff who came back to the table from time to time to take more drinks orders etc, especially the young guy, sorry didn't get his name. Felt really safe at all times. Separate entrance and exits. Would definitely return as I feel these guys have got it spot on 😊
